I genuinely enjoy Pepe’s food, but I’ve noticed an issue with the rice from the Kingsbury branch. Every time I order, it has an unnatural, rubbery texture—almost like plastic. It’s easy to recognize plastic rice since the grains look too perfect, are hard to break, and excessively chewy. This type of rice is widely exported from China and commonly used in India because it’s much cheaper for restaurants. It’s really concerning from a health perspective, and I wouldn’t expect this from a well-established brand like Pepe’s. I’m quite disappointed. All other food than the rice is amazing!

Having been a customer of this place for well over a decade, their standards have fallen, and I feel unfairly treated by their general lack of concern. I normally order quarter grill chicken and large fries. For the past couple orders what I'm receiving is a leg with barely any meat to be found; it's just a boney leg. Just because you get more customers now why the hell do you start taking the mick with the people who have been loyal for years. To say I'm pissed off doesn't describe my feeling.

Found a plastic item in the food

Food is alright service is decent only thing is it is always freezing in there so never eat in and always order or eat in car. Ive asked multiple times for them to turn on heating they said its on.

I got sick after eating chicken and rice box and chips. I question the cleanliness here as I never get diarrhoea from other takeaway shops. Never getting food from here again. Do not recommend.

Normally when I order a chicken n rice box from Pepe’s piri piri it’s really good, but this time I found a string, this is unusual because when I order a collection it doesn’t arrive like this. Worse I could’ve expect was a hair and if I found a hair I wouldn’t even give 1 star. Small mistakes shouldn’t be happening Pepe’s, please try better next time

I regularly visit Pepe's Piri Piri in Kingsbury, and overall, it's a solid choice for a quick and tasty meal. The flavors are generally great, and the variety of sauces adds a nice kick. However, I've found that sometimes the grilled chicken can be a bit too dry and not as saucy as I'd prefer. Also, on occasion, the chicken in the rice box tastes a bit too salty, which might be due to the sauce. Despite this, it's still a good spot for a filling meal, and when everything is on point, it's delicious. I’ll definitely keep coming back but hope for a little more consistency in the future!"

Food is not hygiene and last time when I visited shop to eat paneer rice I got hair inside the rice and people inside are so selfish and they think them self so something and all the staff in the shop show too much attitude towards customers and as well driver too

This Pepe’s branch is really nice, the chicken is so delicious, tender and saucy!!!! It’s a 5 star food safety hygiene, the shop looks clean and tidy, chefs wear hygienic gloves, head net and uniforms. The dips are free with every meal, the chips are also crispy and fresh! Happy happy customer here !!!

Worst customer service, I came in for an eat in today with my friend around 9:00 today, the guy with the glasses on the till was very rude, he greets me straight away with, “yes”?? I told him my order, he was like 30 mins wait. I asked him politely, normally it’s 10-12 Mins. can it not be any quicker? (Because I live in Slough and had to drive back) His reply was “ I am telling you 30 mins so it means 30 mins!!” Fair enough you’re busy, but this sort of attitude feels disgusting and disrespectful. Never coming back and I don’t recommend walk in customers.

I've been eathing in this place since 2019, very friendly staff and good food. I've tryed Pepe's in other places but this one in Kingsbury is by far the best pepes i ate

Despite these small hiccups, Pepe’s is definitely worth a visit. With its great food and overall positive atmosphere, it’s a solid choice for a nice meal out. I look forward to returning and hope that any minor issues can be addressed to make the experience even better in the future.

I love their paneer rice and pipes chips but I was shocked the meal has gone up from £5.50 to over £10 in the last 4 years. I do understand prices have gone up everywhere.

This restaurant will get most bad restaurant awards. They told me they will give my food after 10mins. Then they give it after more than 30 mins. I was asking about my order, staffs told me “if you don’t wanna wait you can cancel it”. Such a rude behaviour ever I have seen.

The manager needs to be sacked ASAP. Started swearing at me repeatedly down the phone and refused to take the blame for messing up my order. Would not recommend!

Been to a few pepes in London but the kingsbury branch is the best by far. Food alway tastes soft and fresh Alway served hot . Guy with beard behind counter knows his stuff - always recommends diff dishes and never got it wrong . Place is always busy but tables and chairs are always clean -

I had a order today almost 20-25£. But i got very bad service from your staff. Even we ordered a peri peri sauce and they give us garlic sauce. They don’t have manners how to talk with customers and they didn’t give us any proper information about food. And one more thing i asked to your staff to go to the washroom and they replied me to “if you wanna use restroom you have to clean after using” I hope i get better service next time
