Pentolina in Hammersmith and Fulham

This is a neighbourhood gem in Brook Green. A husband and wife run small restaurant delivers a combination of warm and welcoming service with excellent food. I chose well (thank you to the server for his recommendations) with a fresh crab and caramelised tomato pasta and an incredible dairy and gluten free pistachio cake with date sauce that was so light it nearly floated off the plate. A delicious meal in a great environment. Thank you.

Il ristorante si trova a pochi passi da Shepherds Bush in un quartiere molto tranquillo. La sensazione di calore e familiarità che ti avvolge appena entrati nella piccola e deliziosa saletta è impagabile e viene confermata dalla gentilezza, mai falsa ed esagerata,) del personale di sala. Il prodigarsi per far fronte ai problemi di allergia di mia moglie è stato sempre attento e preciso, infatti un primo piatto è stato addirittura adattato alle nostre esigenze. Il cibo è gustoso e curato, con sapori stuzzicanti e veramente degni della migliore cucina italiana. Ci siamo sentiti proprio a casa, coccolati come in famiglia. Complimenti vivissimi!

Ich mag genau solche Orte. Schön hergerichtet aber nicht überdreht, die Speisekarte ambitioniert aber nicht blingbling, der Service in vollem Bewusstsein den Gästen einen tollen Abend zu verschaffen ohne künstliche „Hospitality“. Also - nach einem Negroni ( !) war die Sache sowiso klar. Ich hatte einen Oktopus in einem braunen Sössle als Vorspeise und breite Nudeln mit Wildschweinragout als Hauptgericht. Beides in einer Qualität wie es die Oma auch machen würde- und genau so koche ich auch. Ein schönes Fläschle Wein dazu und alles zu einem Preis der im Rahmen bleibt. Gut, dass wir heimlaufen konnten - zufrieden und glücklich!

A very good Italian restaurant using top quality ingredients & cooking with great care and attention to detail. The pasta is fresh and perfectly cooked. A short menu that somehow covers all the bases and very charming service. Run by husband and wife team who manage to keep the brilliant standards they have set as high as ever. It's the sort of place you try in vain to find when you're in Rome or Milan and yet somehow never do. And here it is in an unassuming street close to Olympia! Five stars!

The last time I had an Italian meal this good was on the Amalfi coast in Positano Italy!! Truly amazing dishes! From the appetizers to desert! Friendly staff! Warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere! A must go to!

Found Pentolina online whilst researching Restaurants close to Olympia. We were very impressed with every aspect of our experience. Attentive service, good choices on menu, had three courses, wine excellent, lovely bread, good coffee. Would thoroughly recommend, especially if visiting Olympia.

The food is extremely good but the staff are the main asset of this restaurant. I've eaten at Pentolina 3 times, so far, and every time I've been made to think that I was their most important customer. It is a rare skill! I will be coming back again and again. Thank you.

Have been here twice now and enjoyed both visits. Overall great but the fairly limited menu was the same both times with no specials and the main course portions are on the small side.

Visited on a Thursday evening. Didn't book a table; the restaurant was very busy but we managed to grab the outside table - which was great as it was a warm evening. The waitress quickly cleaned down the previous glasses and plates and wiped down the table - very efficient! We ordered the vegetable soup for starter, served with sliced bread - absolutely delicious. Mains: spaghetti with Cornish Crab; pan-fried Yellow Fin fish fillet served with sliced baked potato and vegetables. Again, delicious. Desert - tiramisu - one of the better ones I've had. I've only been once before while attending the annual LBF which was finally back after two years post Pando! There were supposed to be three of us here for lunch on the last day of the Fair but the other two couldn't make it and I'm so glad i went on my own. Everything from the friendly, super efficient staff to the bread and pasta is spot on. I even got a smile form the chef as I saw me literally wiping the bowel clean with the last crust. I also love they serve Rose by the glass:) It's a great wee place I so wish was around the corner from me. See you next year!

What a find in Brook Green away from the Hammersmith hustle. This is pure Italian. A perfect neighbourhood restaurant serving up rustic Italian fare in a convivial atmosphere. It was full to busting on Saturday night but not too noisy so you could carry on a conversation. My wife’s halibut and thinly sliced potatoes was simply delicious. And our duck ragout was a pure joy. Tiramisu was the best I’ve had.

What a gem this turned out to be! Excellent and authentic Italian food from a varied menu and all reasonably priced. Impressive wine list too. I had the rabbit with capers and black olives with spinach and mashed potatoes. All cooked to perfection and I am still drooling over the pear and ricotta torta!

Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere at Pentolina! This is such a lovely restaurant to visit in Brook Green and worth the money. I had the duck ragu and it was extremely tasty. The tiramisu is a must-have dessert too. Definitely worth trying if you live in Hammersmith (just a 15 min walk).

A very good dinner with truly Italian ingredients and tastes, from the appetizers (cold cuts, ham and bufala) to the paccheri. I loved the style, the atmosphere the relxed kindness of the whole staff. Not to be missed!

Booked here for a birthday treat (£16.50 2 course set menu) and were not disappointed with the starters- these were of excellent quality. The mains were a little disappointing; they were not hot and only luke warm on arrival. Still nice though. We would have mentioned it to the staff, who were friendly, but they did not check to see if everything was ok. Would go back but would splash out on the a la carte menu next time!

It matters what you are after- this is not the spot you will impress a girl and have to dodge the elastics of her pants. What you will experience is exceptional service and great food. It feels like the home you aspire to have.

Estuve aquí unas cuantas veces cuando visité a mi hija y cada vez que mejoraba el lugar, tres de nosotros con platos diferentes fuimos pulidos, comencé con un plato de coppa con mozzarella seguido de un plato de pasta de ragu, seguido de tiramisú. El lugar está bien gestionado y Guilia nos cuidó muy bien, no te pierdas esta pequeña joya de lugar que puedo garantizarte que estarás encantado

Pentolina never disappoints. I took my Italian family over for dinner and everybody enjoyed the food, the wine and the experience. Truly delicious food, welcoming staff and great wine. One of my favourite restaurants in London and lucky it's in my neighbourhood!!

If this is not the best Italian restaurant in London, its not far off. Small and intimate. Ate wonderful Linguine with Cuttlefish! As stated elsewhere the best Tiramisu!

All the positive reviews of this Hammersmith Italian are spot on.The food is delicious. My husband and I both enjoyed the finely sliced ham with mozzarella followed by the perfectly cooked pasta with crab. There is a really warm and welcoming atmosphere with lovely staff and owners who obviously care about their food and patrons. There were all ages at this restaurant and although on a small street in Hammersmith, even if you do not live locally definitely worth coming to. We are so glad we found this restaurant and will definitely return.

I asked a Italian friend who lives in London where to go for authentic and great Italian food in London. The answer: Pentolina. While in London for business I called to see if they could accommodate me for dinner and although the place was fully booked the owner was nice enough to say she would get me in. The restaurant is located in a quiet residential street in Hammersmith and is very small. The menu had great selection from starter, main course and deserts all made at the restaurant from fresh ingredients. Wine list was decent and not expensive. They brought homemade bread with olive oil and balsamic to dip. I ordered the Crostini Toscani to start and it was very rich and tasty. For main course I had the spaghetti with fresh crab meat and it was simply fantastic. The pasta was “al dente” and the sauce was memorable. For desert I had the semifreddo al torrone with chocolate sauce and it was delicious. All accompanied by a glass of Barbera wine. All the above for £36. Overall it was a fantastic meal served by a very friendly staff of young Italians. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for one the best Italian meals you can get in London.

Consistentemente bueno. Los propietarios Heidi y Mickel manejan un establecimiento consistentemente bueno. Los locales regresan una y otra vez. A lovely way to spend a Saturday night! Close friends and great food. Started with the Smoked Whisked Mackerel with spring onions and lemon zest, which kicked things off wonderfully! And for main I had the delicious Pacherri Pasta with Venison Ragout. Every tastebud was satisfied. For pudding? The Tiramisu (of course!). Service was prompt and always came with a smile. The menu isn't huge but it's all the better for that; I'd rather choose from a few great dishes than a plethora of mediocre ones. Me and D are already planning a return trip!

We were staying at a hotel nearby and read the reviews for this restaurant and weren't disappointed! It was so busy we sat outside as it was such a warm evening and I thought we would be forgotten by the waitresses but they were so attentive. The venue is quite small but the food was out of this world! Gutted we didn't have room for desert! This place is a hidden gem.

What a find. My husband and I ate here last night. It was wonderful. The food and wine menu was excellent, it was small but choices to suit all tastes. Just what we like to see. One thing to note, if you are ordering steak, order sides. The steak was delicious btw. Treat yourself and eat here!

I booked a lunch table for a family birthday and Pentolina gave us a wonderful time. Very delicious food with a good wine list. It's an appealing place with a wide open terrace door and tables in the street. The set menu is a bargain and offers just enough choice with wide ranging starters and delicious mains. The puddings are pretty good too!

A solid choice for dining in the Brook Green area. The food is good, the set menu, which I selected, had more than enough choices to put together an interesting meal. I had Mozzarella and Palma Ham followed by a pasta with boar ragu which were executed well. The a la carte menu also had quite a good range of dining options. Prices were reasonable and the restaurant decor is simple, light and airy. The restaurant is one of the best if you are in the neighbourhood.

Small, friendly neighbourhood restaurant with a short menu and a great wine list. Lunch set meals gave our party plenty of choice, were a creative step up from the standard fare. And the pasta was really beautifully cooked.

Ate here last night couldn’t fault it, the staff were very good, attentive and always there when you needed them, i ordered the tomato soup which was the best tomato soup I’ve ever had, and the sausage ragout which was also so good.

The restaurant is quite appealing and converted from a terraced house. There is an upstairs and downstairs. Staff friendly. The food did not live up to expectations as the portions were on the small side compared with the price. My veal was dry even though it came with a sauce. Even the pasta portions were on the small side The wines were also on the expensive side as chose one I knew and it was more expensive than in a top class restaurant. Not really good value for money

Io e il mio compagno siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti da questo piccolo e accogliente ristorante vicino a casa nostra: cucina italiana con qualche rivisitazione, ingredienti ottimi e personale gentile. This restaurant offers interesting flavours and types of pasta using good quality ingredients. Service is good and efficient, but if you ask for anything that is not exactly as it is in the menu (i.e. a dish without a particular ingredient), it is unlikely that it can be offered because it appears that the sauces are pre-made. Upstairs seating can be a little too close to other diners. Overall I would go again but would not pine for it.

I had lunch here yesterday and the food was delicious (superlative pasta), the service from Heidi, Michele and their team excellent and the ambience delightful. My two guests were equally happy and I would strongly recommend this restaurant in the charming village atmosphere of Brook Green.

I had been to Pentolina several times before, having worked in the neighbourhood for many years. Having left London since then, but being here for an event I decided to try it out again with family. Nothing has changed: it is still a truly authentic Italian restaurant with fresh products - try the mozzarella - cooked as they can only in Italy, a few key ingredients mixed together that, because they are so fresh, stand by themselves with no need for much else in terms of flavouring. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are clearly proud of what they serve. Reservation essential.

What a great little local restaurant. Pretty much full at 7pm on a Thursday evening. PThe pasta was very good. Properly al dente. And the bread! Superb. Wine not cheap, but the Salice was very nice.Service friendly and attentive, but not too in your face. Recommended

It was our second visit to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere and food were both great. Pentolina is our favourite restaurant! 

We had shrimp carpaccio for starter, rabbit grill and pasta for main, tiramisu and coconut cream brulee for dessert. Dishes were beautifully presented and tasted great too. 

Everything was lovely. We were so happy to visit there again.

Taste the real Italian home made food in this nice and very cosy restaurant. Family run, everyone working there is extremely polite and professional, and the food is excellent! I suggest to book in advance as there are not too many tables and, given the quality, it is often fully booked. Highly recommended.
