We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday weekend. The hotel is fabulous, in a great location and is run by super friendly staff. The breakfast is super tasty & has a great selection on offer. We stayed in one of the dog friendly coach house rooms that was perfect, beautifully decorated & spotless. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights & the food was fantastic. This hotel is a little gem & I will definitely be staying again.

We went for a Valentines afternoon tea. They catered for my nut allergy. Phoned on day to check, what I wasn't able to eat nit wise. Alternatives provided. Absolutely lovely.

We stayed in mid-December and had the most wonderful time. The service is absolutely exceptional and everything we are was just lovely. It's a very short walk from the train station but is uphill, may be difficult with a lot of luggage. We arrived very late at night but had no trouble getting in.

We visited Penally Abbey for the first time in November 2022, where we got engaged a short walk away on the beach, and then again in September 2024, for a short break straight after our wedding. In 2022, we stayed in room 6, and this time we stayed in room 5. Both rooms are absolutely stunning with amazing views of the sea. Penally Abbey is so beautiful, and the team are helpful and friendly. We love the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting. We had dinner at Rhosyn, which was great, and enjoyed cocktails from the bar. It was lovely to be welcomed with coffee and cake on arrival. The location is absolutely beautiful. As well as a walk along the beach, I'd recommend checking out local walks in the area, we particularly enjoyed Barafundle Bay and the Bosherston Lily Ponds. On both visits, we had issues when we planned to go out for dinner in Tenby with the trains being unreliable due to the single track and a lack of availability of taxis between the hotel and Tenby at "peak" times. Obviously a very pleasant walk along the beach at low tide, but high tide/night time it's less easy! So if venturing into Tenby for a few drinks, I'd recommend pre-booking taxis and perhaps not relying too much on the public transport!

This was my first trip to Penally and Penally Abbey despite living local to the area and I was blown away with how beautiful it is. The garden was so lush with a variety of flowers, trees and bushes and was so pleasant to sit in and admire the view of the sea in. We were greeted and served by the wonderful Eirlys who made us feel so welcomed as soon as we stepped in the door. I'd like to personally thank her for making our visit perfect, she went above and beyond to help is today and she really stood out to us as a kind and accommodating member of staff. Also shout out to the lovely cleaner lady (I didn't catch her name) who was also incredibly kind. The food was delicious. We opted for a cream tea and the scones came out piping hot and yummy! I had an Earl Grey tea to accompany and it was just perfect. The views are spectacular here and worth the winding roads it takes to get there. I can't wait to visit again, it was just perfect and so well decorated, we must have taken 100 pictures each!

My wife and I had such a wonderful meal experience this evening and this is truly one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at in the area. If you are looking for high-end exquisite food, Penally Abbey is the place to go. Thank you again, Penally Abbey, we will be back!

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful place a few weeks ago for the second time. The staff are excellent as is the food. We were very kindly upgraded to room 5 and it was absolutely stunning, so thank you to the staff for that gesture. We will be back again!

First time here this evening and what a gem, great service, lovely location and quirky building. The food was very good although for me the sides such as Pembrokeshire potatoes and Tenderstem Broccoli were soaked in too much oil when they didn't need to be. The lamb was on point and the sauce to accompany was excellent. I would however liked to have seen another starter and main to consist of another vegetarian option. Although in fairness the chef did tailor what was on offer which is always appreciated. Great selection of wines with a great mark up aswell. So for the 2 of us starters, mains and one desert along with 1 bottle of Chablis is £185. When charging these kind of prices I also expect the wine and water to be poured without having todo it myself, Michelin star prices not necessarily Michelin star service.

A return visit and had been thinking about having lunch but overheard someone talking about having enjoyed the breakfast so decided to try that. I had the bacon, bread, mushrooms and herbal tea. Everything tasted amazing and I just love the calm atmosphere. In the end we didn’t have time for lunch as well as we were on our way home after a week away. Hopefully next time we will arrive earlier and be able to have breakfast and lunch. As always service was warm and friendly, same lady served us last year as well.

Five Stars for Cwtch Coffee – A Warm Welsh Hug in a Mug! Two Australians wandered into Cwtch Coffee on the morning of 09 APR 25 (probably looking jetlagged and deeply confused) to a cosy little gem that lives up to its name - “cwtch” really does feel like a hug, and this place wrapped us up like a toasty blanket fresh from the dryer. The service? Impeccable. The prices? Surprisingly kind to the wallet. The Coffee? Solid, satisfying, and exactly what we needed to help reset our body clocks. We were served by a brilliantly funny Irish gentleman who could moonlight as a stand-up comic if he ever tires of perfectly pulling espresso shots. Honestly, if the coffee hadn’t perked us up, his banter would have. He made us laugh, feel welcome, and briefly forget we were two Aussies in foreign territory with no idea how to pronounce “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.” If you’re ever passing through Wales and want great coffee, affordable prices, and a dose of Irish comedy - don’t miss Cwtch Coffee.
