PEACH. (Bishop's Stortford) in East Hertfordshire

Out of the 7 cafes and restaurants visited for breakfast in Stortford thus far, Peach is by far our favourite! Delightful.

Gorgeous food and stunning location! Staff are attentive and friendly.

Well, what can I say? First time ever that I visited the place, when I and my lady entered, the girl in the room welcomed us warmly and took us to a delightful table near the window where our friend was waiting for us. We started with appetizers consisting of chic and elaborate dishes. Anyone who enters this place, convinced that they are at McDonald's and will have refined and wonderful dishes in 5 minutes, is better off avoiding it. The site is clearly a "slow food" site, (much sought after in Europe) intended to allow you to enjoy company, good music (which does not disturb and allows conversation in complete relaxation) and then enjoy the dishes. Obviously I will return with my wife and maybe a friend of ours to choose other dishes, when you see that menu and given the quality and flavor of all the food already tasted, you can't be curious enough to try other dishes 🤤. The cocktails had the typical taste of well-made cocktails. The peach puree was not the classic and dull fake syrup (but then again, if it's called Peach, you can't give me fake peach, right?🤣) Then I also inserted a video, asking the very kind bar lady, if he could recreate my bubble. She was very friendly and affable as was the other girl in the place. I repeat, everything was delicious, I have reviewed many, many places and my millions of views confirm it. This place is truly a niche place, excellent for spending time with two or three friends, the place isn't large, but that's not a flaw, on the contrary, it makes you appreciate going with trusted friends to places that are definitely trendy like this . Always a great atmosphere in Peach and tasty vegan options. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Happy hour cocktails great value as well but we didn't have them this time as both driving. Looking forward to our next visit.

Service was really friendly and hospitable. Ordered a shakshuka with some sourdough. Taste was really lovely and good portion too. Would definitely like to return at some point to try other items on the menu. One of the staff members was kind enough to lend a phone charger to use in the meanwhile, which i’m really grateful for.

Visited with friends, I had the pancakes as did another who specified dairy free as highly allergic. Two plates came up and there was no differentiation ad to one being dairy free. My friend asked if it definitely was and the waitress confirmed although she had no idea which was which. The pancakes, looked great but were truly dreadful, obviously reheated, dry and tasteless. I thought the drinks were overpriced, the peach bellini had lumpy puree which stayed at the bottom of the glass. A mighty £27 service charge was added to the bill (4 people, 4 brunches, 4 cocktails, 1 bottle of wine). I wouldn't return, it was very disappointing. What you might call style over substance!

We love this place. Awesome burgers and cocktails in a cool, modern but small diner sort of environment. We have had both date nights and family nights here because the menu is so delicious for everyone. Thank you peach for the quality and the cool vibes

Peach was soo nice it had such a nice juicy veggie burger which I halved with my friend. The cocktails were stunning i saw one on fire (it was intentional) great vibes wish there wasn’t a time limit as it was fun times #goodtimesandtanlines

I have been here a couple of times. I like the food and the general vibe. Food is labelled pb for plant based but I am not sure they fully understand this... the pancakes are labelled pb but come with vanilla mascarpone which didn't taste pb (or feel it). Additionally my partners plant based full English which was put on the table with "plant based full english" had an egg and was missing the avocado so was definitely not pb! I think I need to ask them if they know what pb is, but given there is as separate listing for vegetarian it should be obvious. I will clarify these things on my next visit!

Had a lovely dinner and cocktails yesterday. Dip and Dab and Frozen Peach 🍑 Daiquiri were both delicious 😋 The Dirty fries, vegetarian Bao Buns and Buddha Bowl were so tasty. Great service too.

I have to give 5 stars on all accounts to this wonderful place. I came here with my friend Sam, who wears a nappy for personal reasons (don't worry, nothing wrong with his bum). He asked if he could use the toilet facilities, and the staff all accepted him for who he was and gave him a round of applause when he came out. Unfortunately, he put the nappy back on over his trousers, so he had to go back in the toilet. He was so embarrassed that I had to coax him out with his favourite coffee - a Cappachuchu. Before he left he kissed all the staff on the lips and walked into the glass door. Can't take him anywhere.

Food was lovely but it turned up stone cold unfortunately and took ages to get delivered. Maybe burgers should be wrapped in foil in future? Also the driver had the paper bag only, no heat bag etc.

We came here during the Easter bank holiday for a family brunch. We booked a table in advance. I'm glad we did as it was so busy (which is a good sign). Everything was amazing. Staff are super friendly and provide excellent customer service. We loved the decor and setting. All the food we had was just outstanding. Everything was made to perfection. They cater for many dietary requirements. All the vegan options were great. Added bonus their baby changing facilities is the best we have ever seen in any restaurant around the world. No understatement. 👏

We’re a group of 8 with a baby and 2 dogs… so very glad we found this spot !!! Try their pan cakes - they are absolutely superb. The highlight of our meal was the banoffee sandwich! 100% recommend! ☺️

What a shame, booked for 8 for breakfast. First in the door and the service was so slow. The full breakfast was dried out and the charcoal bread, that looked black was not great for any of us. We ordered drinks again and in the end they did not come. They then had a cheek to add a service charge. Funny I did not have a choice, your paid too service my table, if I did it my self it would have been quicker. Word of advice you need to sort your self out, many better and cheaper restaurants in Stortford, with better food and service. We will not be coming back

Deliveroo order had 65 grams of fries that we had to pay an extra £4.60 for.

Booked for a birthday meal for the family at 8pm tonight and had an average burger and less than average cocktail (definitely not what it used to be) - the chips were good. Finished our main course and waited a while before someone came over to order more drinks and told us it was last orders for cocktails. A short while later we asked if we could order desert, we were told ‘no’ as the kitchen was closed. We explained this was a birthday celebration and it seemed ludicrous a restaurant/cafe would take bookings at 8pm when the kitchen shuts an hour later only to be told by the waitress we could have a shot instead (we had two children with us so not very appropriate) and that she “only works here”. After the waitress went into the kitchen and spoke to the chef, we were then reminded that it states on the website the kitchen shuts at 9pm, we didn’t see this when booking but instead just noticed it was in fact open until 10:30pm. It almost felt like our service for a one course mediocre meal had been timed to perfection to go past the kitchen closing time. I’ve been once before when there was only one dessert available and no ingredients for the cocktail of the week, then again tonight to only have 4 x burgers with chips & drinks that was £119 (definitely not worth it) and I will honestly never come back. I’m actually glad now they didn’t have desserts available as the prices are definitely not reflected in the quality of the produce, there’s lots more places to eat in town where not only the food is better but there’s professional service and decent opening hours.

If only we had known that the burger meat would come quite rare, and had known to ask at the start, for it to be cooked at least to medium, it would have been 4 stars. I cannot understand why dogs are allowed in such a small place, but to each their own. The "dirty chips" were most excellent! Burger tasted great, but my wife just cannot bear red burger meat. It was so busy, she did not wish to make a fuss. If we had only known.

Amazing coffee, great veggie options for brunch and dinner

Normally love Peach, but such a disappointment today for son’s 25th birthday brunch - food took 75 mins to arrive, undercooked and cool. Drinks took ages too. Shame.

terrible. came here last year and there was a fight in kitchen - chef swearing, very upset and then owner came to calm things down. chef left and another arrived - obviously dinner late but hey ho. Did say we'd avoid. However wife booked here for breakfast/brunch for my sons birthday. We arrived 5 mins early at 1040, waitress came over at 11 to take drinks orders, came back 20 mins later and spilt drink over table leaving it sticky - we asked for a cloth to clean table ourselves! ordered food at 1120, came at 1220 - food pretty rubbish. Bacon couldnt cut with a knife, so solid you had to pick it up, I asked for fried eggs, got two partially cooked poached eggs (white bits slimey and translucent in parts), black pudding cold and raw inside, guest had a cake which they had accidentally sprinkled paprika on (cooked next to a turkish dish maybe?). Did complain and asked for bill, most food unfinished but still charged £8 service which was too much hastle for them to take off bill - avoid at all costs.

The food was delicious! Child friendly too. Highly recommend. Specifics: loved our brunch which compromised of 1) Buddha Bowl and 2) funghi English muffin. The Zing Zinger juice was really nice too! Overall, very good!

And I dont know what’s happened to the pancakes?? Used to be the best .. now they are a cross between a Yorkshire pud and a cake . Not nice . Peach is incredible and needs to be in every city possible. The staff are so welcoming, the food is always delicious and inventive, overall as a restaurant I would go for any occasion and look forward to seeing the business grow. Also loved the autumnal scent in the bathroom, the little gestures are lovely touches.

This is a great little restaurant in Bishops Stortford. A small but excellent menu. Burgers and Korean Chicken made an excellent dad's night out. Will be frequenting often.

Came with the family for dinner. Smell in the room was so thick and strong of some oil diffuser. While we were waiting for food order a couple walked in and spoiled my mood as they stunk of tobacco and didn’t filter their language. My kids were sitting with ears closed as they were not shy to swear in their dialog. Member of staff didn’t care. My sensitive nose was suffering to breathe as the air in the room wasn’t ventilated and open door didn’t help to suck the smell of cigarette out. Food was very salty. I made a comment for the chef but doubt will be done something. Burgers were ok and very salty as I mentioned. Sweet potato Chips were the best out of all dinner. Member of staff didn’t look like they work there as were dressed casually and not like for work. Floor was sticky but bathroom was clean at least. Just disappointed that my friend highly recommended this place. Won’t be back again.

We spent 4 hours at Peach Bishop's Stortford today. The food was sublime and the service considered and friendly. I would recommend this little gem over others in the town. I will be back 😁

I booked a baby shower for my friend and we had an amazing time. The food was spot on and the service prompt and friendly. Sadly I have to mark the overall rating down as we were overcharged on our final bill as the service wasn’t removed. I followed up before we left to raise the issue but was informed I wouldn’t be able to get a refund there and then as I had booked through OpenTable. I left my details and had to follow up several times for a refund. However when I did speak to the manager she assured me they were updating their systems so that any issues like this can be resolved in the moment in future. I will be back, because despite a slow refund, I felt that on balance, PEACH is a great venue, the staff are friendly and helpful and that overall once the issue was in hand with the refund, I felt Dayana had it under control.

Great food and drink and you're able to amend most meals on the menu to a vegetarian or vegan option. Means if you're going out with a group of people everyone can be catered for. Local business we will be supporting rather than the chain restaurants.

I thought for the price we paid the food wasn’t really worth it although it was good. The coffee was great and I love the actual place itself and the vibes although if you are going in a big group it can be kind of cramped as it’s not massive

Was seated for two immediately without a reservation (always appreciated). Ordered the "Beet Goes On" juice, Americanos x2, and Shakshuka with Dark Rye Bread -- all very delicious, particularly the coffee. Cafe has a distinctly London vibe, which considering the Owners' background, this is not a surprise. A friend has recommended the coffee for years but I've never had an opportunity to try it before today, he was not in the least exaggerating, yum! 🤤

Such a lovely place, amazing food and coffee! It felt like coming to someone's house for breakfast - quite warm atmosphere and great hosts 😊 I had soy latte and full breakfast, both were perfect, and everyone else at the table shared my impression with their coffee and food.All of us agreed that it deserved high praise 👍

I had scrambled egg that looked like an omelette on black sour bread that did not look appetising ,felt rushed ,will not be going there again

Had an excellent food and an okay cup of tea in this nice cafe. I am scoring this quite harshly mostly due to the price. We had 2 orders of pancakes and a tea and a hot chocolate which came to over £30 which I thought was excessive. This includes the 'discretionary ' service charge. Also the tea I had wasn't that nice and came in a tiny pot. The pancakes were really excellent and came with a lovely Berry compote. The place itself is small and really nicely decorated.

I specifically asked to ensure that the burger is well done (since they ran out of pork bap) as I cannot eat medium. Unfortunately still received pink meat, even they assured me it’ll be well done. Had to throw it out. Also asked for ketchup, but didn’t get any. Chips were very nice, but not worth considering the rest.

Very poor customer service. Was told we could only have a table for and hour which we agreed. Was not given a menu until 20mins after we sat down and had to ask for it. One of our party was splashed with water from the hose being held by the bar man, Which he did not apologise until we asked for a cloth to dry ourselves. We only stayed for a drink but was still charged a service charge non the less. Would not recommend and would not go back.

This place is highly underrated and needs to be shouted about more! We stopped by in Bishop Stortford and we can’t give this place enough stars. Such delicious food for brunch, in particular the pancakes are phenomenal! 🥞Friendly staff and our puppy was also welcomed! Thank you for being so awesome!

Great experience and amazing staff! High quality coffee, very tasty! The barista was so nice and they made sure my Matcha Latte was to my taste and not too strong. It was sooo good 🤤 the only "downside" for me is that the takeaway cups are a bit smaller than standard... Next time, I'll get dine-in 😂 (Haven't tried the food or cocktails yet - hence the 4 stars)

Perfect service, delicious food & beautiful venue. Hosted a baby shower here and had private hire of the venue. Everything was perfect, guests were all really impressed with the food and the staff were super attentive, organised and just made the whole experience so easy. Shout out to Dayana who helped plan this with me!

Great service, good snacks, it can get a bit noisy sometimes so best bet for a few cocktails. We will be returning!

Really great restaurant with exceptional food and brilliant service. Our waitress was outstanding and attentive, bringing out sparklers for our Nan on her birthday which was a lovely touch. It was a shame to see a lady who I assume was the owner or manager speak down to her staff for a long time right next to us which was very unprofessional but other than that the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious food. Seems like a trendy place too. However the staff were quite disorganised. Did not appear to understand what was vegan despite it being on their menu. The menu says can be made plant based but when I asked for it to be vegan, it took a while to be understood what this meant as we almost got marscapone and bacon. Another waitress passed a scolding hot plate without mentioning it so. The only reason I didn't drop it was because I didn't want the boiling hot place to land on my nephew. We were given the wrong food and then had a very long wait. But when the food eventually came it was absolutely delicious. Just think the staff need a bit more training. Would recommend to others for the food.
