Patty & Bun in Hammersmith and Fulham

I ate a tasty lambshank redemption burger with rosemary salted chips, washed down with Patty Pils. The service by Dawid and his colleagues was excellent.

One of the most amazing burgers I've ever tasted! Nothing but good things to say about this place. Friendly staff, fast service, cozy place.

Couple of things out of stock but offered alternatives each time. Really speedy service, all the food was spot on too! Will come back!

What’s the point of asking how you want your burger cooked [ medium rare] when it is delivered dry and overcooked. I say delivered as it was not really served. Carried from the kitchen by a lady wearing a brown overcoat, no smile, no words and her nails…… scary long! Such a shame as Patty and Bun used to be good.

I’ve experienced the poorest service and food at Patty & Bun on Kingly Street yesterday! My friend and I gone there for quick lunch break on a working day. We were asked to wait outside as a start. Few minutes later we got a table and manage to order food. The waiter who took the order didn’t ask if we would like any sides with our burgers, we order our fries when our burgers arrived at the table. Our burgers were wet and cold, we asked for cutlery as it was gonna be messy to eat but we got wooden which snapped easily straightaway, we asked for another and the waitress dumped it at the table and walked off. We asked another waiter for metal cutlery, she said they run out! How can a restaurant in central london runs out of cutlery?!?! It felt like being at a festival eating a burger on a wooden bench outdoor! We both left unhappy and it was definitely not worth £40, not for the food and certainly not for the service! From previous experience, staff at this branch are great and welcoming, and the burgers are delicious!

Patty & Bun is a hip burger joint with several locations across London. They’re also the two main components of a burger, so that seems like a good place to start my review. The patty: I ordered it pink and juicy, which is just the way it came. This is the equivalent of ordering your steak rare, but you can order it medium or well-done if you’re less adventurous. The beef was very tender – almost melt-in-the-mouth – and packed a lot of flavour. My Smokey Robinson burger was accompanied by tomato, lettuce, cheese and a heap of caramelised onions. The flavour of the patty was complemented by smokey mayo but I was disappointed to find there was only a tiny amount of bacon in there. The bun: brioche, as you’d expect from any trendy burger chain nowadays. I’m not a huge fan of brioche bread because I find it a bit too sweet to wrap around a burger, but I can live with it. The problem was that my burger was so juicy, by the time it was delivered, the bottom half of the bun was soaked and almost falling apart. This probably isn’t a problem when eating in the restaurant because the time from kitchen to table is short. However, the additional time involved when ordering a delivery means there’s ample opportunity for a pink and juicy patty to make the bun go soggy. So my advice to you would be: if you’re getting your burger delivered, order it medium or well-done so the bun stays dry. The sides: I had a portion of rosemary-salted fries with my burger. The portion size was decent but I couldn’t detect any rosemary flavour at all – they tasted like ordinary salted chips, which was a bit of a let-down. Dunking them in the pot of barbecue sauce I ordered almost made up for it though. My date had the same complaint about her chips, which were supposed to come with chicken skin salt but didn’t. We shared a portion of chicken wings between us, the cringey-named Winger Winger Chicken Dinner. These are smoked confit wings with barbecue sauce and spring onions. The meat was soft and tender but, probably because of the confit cooking process, the breadcrumb coating was too soggy, making for some pretty wet wings. We ordered via the Deliveroo app, which was a good experience as usual. Our food was delivered in the quoted 30 minutes but it had gone lukewarm by then so we had to nuke it in the microwave before we could eat it. Two burgers, two portions of chips, a side of wings and a small pot of barbecue sauce came to about £36, which is standard for a premium burger meal these days. I ate in Patty & Bun’s James Street location a few years back and really enjoyed my meal so I know their burgers can be very good. This was the first time I’d had a burger delivered to me and I have to say it felt a bit underwhelming. Burgers are best eaten smoking hot, straight out of the kitchen so I think I’ll wait for lockdown to end before I get my next burger fix.

Went in on Saturday 19th September. Server shouted from the counter ‘table for two?’ and then pointed to where we should sit. The restaurant was partially filled by a group of builders who had taken over the walkway and made it difficult to pass. They seemed to have taken priority and made for an intimidating atmosphere. A note on the table indicated we had to complete track and trace but the internet was so slow that this was proving impossible. Eventually the server came over and placed two pieces of grease proof paper in front of us. When asked how to order the server took a while to respond and at first it seemed if he was going to ignore me. He told me the menu was online and when I told him I was struggling to get the internet to work he shrugged his shoulders and told me there were no paper menus then walked off. With no way of viewing the menu or knowing how to place the order, should this be online or via a waiter, who knows? We decided to leave. We visit the Television Centre a lot so this business potentially lost repeat customers.

Off the beaten track but the food we ordered was top notch! If you want this type of food then you will not be disappointed! Meat and a fantastic vegan option. Was served by Chanel tonight and she owned the service cycle! Surprisingly busy for a Monday due to EOTHO.

Just had dinner here and honestly cant speak highly enough of the service we received. Sadly i did not take the name of the manager, but she was friendly and attentive all the while, under a lot of pressure from an influx of customers. For sure i will be visiting this place more often in the future.

The title says it all. It's not cheap but blimey it's good. Nice atmosphere, service was efficient, drinks were great, food was excellent. Dropped a star because I had to query the bill (quickly sorted) and my wife said her chicken burger was a bit dry - that's what you get for not choosing beef! Recommended.

Visited over the festive period and have no complaints at all. Staff were helpful, informative and cheeky and steered us in the direction of delicious burgers and sides. It wasn’t busy so service was quick and there’s a nice vibe inside - avoid any of the oversubscribed restaurants at Westfield and go here instead!

I sometimes just want a burger but not just any cheap fast food I want to be inspired of taste, look and creativity and I want it to be like "going out" I want the place to be nice, good seating and interesting deco. I have to say that Patty & Bun fulfill this category good location, excellent burgers and great service. -I will go there again
