Trying to think of something to moan about here because I'm in a moaning mood but I'm struggling. The whole visit was spot on. Good food, good service , beautiful and clean place to eat. If you like your pasta

Good atmosphere inside and very busy on a Saturday evening. Good food selection on the menu and drinks choice. Staff friendly and overall reasonable price.

A wide variety of dishes. Pasta is especially good being freshly cooked and served. Several separate dining areas to accommodate large, small and intimate groups. Plenty of parking near by

Tried to over charge us twice first £400 plus they then said it was the previous people who had sat there when we said it was wrong they checked again then came back with a bill for £250 we went through the bill again various meals and alcohol we still added after 3rd attempt we paid our bill £160 ! No apologies made us feel very uncomfortable food was just average.PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL !!

We went there with colleagues occasionally. Everything was delicious and at a very reasonable price, especially for lunch! Just bought family members to there last weekend. We have been last night to celebrate international women's day.The food was lovely and Bruno the waiter very kind and professional (there was a blonde waiter which wasn't in a good mood when me and my sister and my mum wanted to place a order for drinks )But overall we have had a good night and I would recommend this restaurant 😊

Im sorry for this honest review, It was cold , ( my main was cold within 5 mins ) my wife ordered a pizza and it was wet and soggy in the middle and was uncutable! It had to be teared apart .

Omg this place is amazing. Proper Italian cuisine, and you can tell it’s all freshly made. The kitchen are so lovely and the waiting on staff attend to every need. My server was named Toni was very attentive

We visited this lunch time with my parents. The food here is always excellent, we had 3 Calazones and 1 Chicken Ala Fortina 1 portion of fries. This is one of the places where it's good every time we go, nice lively atmosphere and a lovely helpful waitress called Toni, nothing was too much trouble for her 😀

The overall atmosphere was pleasant,but I was disappointed with food.Had caprese which wasn’t very nice,quality of ingredients definitely needs improving.Pizza as for Italian restaurant was very bad,chewy texture.Service was friendly,but when I asked waitress are there any parsley in a dish(because I have allergy)she said I don’t know I don’t work in the kitchen.I found it extremely rude.Don’t think I’m going back again here

Unfortunately this restaurant is the reason I HATE eating out. The food is just bad, flavourless, made without love, and just worse than any kind of home cooking - this is the case even for the pizzas which we had. The atmosphere and drink are fine but the service was also bad, waiting for ages for the bill, no water bought to our table, no condiments, no chilli oil. I do not understand the good reviews, the only explanation is the at it must have changed chef/ownership recently. Avoid.

This is NOT Italian food! Nowhere in Italy do they serve these recipes! Service only came when prompted. Huge sweat stains on the fabric chairs were a real turn-off. The fact I've been told by many that yhis is a gem of a restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent truly worries me.

Every time we visit the staff are kind, welcoming and attentive. The food is always delicious. AND they always cater to our food preferences/intolerances. Does exactly what it says on the tin! A firm favourite!

Disappointing experience Went for a nice meal as a couple. Food was nice however the experience was disappointing. Had a hair on my starter plate that the waitress flick off when told about it. Asked for the bill and waited at least 10 minutes. Service at best was poor. Been a few times over the years but won’t be going back.

Ordered food for delivery from here tonight. It was excellent Delivered exactly on time, piping hot and really good size portions for the price. We had a garlic pizzette, spaghetti carbonara and tortellini quattro formaggi We really enjoyed and would recommend and will definitely order from here again.

Service was excellent, the staff were kind, responsive and polite. Food just misses the spot unfortunately and youre left feeling underwhelmed as it feels like a british ran italian, lacking that true italian authenticity. It used to be well known for being cold which has been rectified with soace heaters but overall the place feels tired.

It was my first time going here, it's a beautiful restaurant, the decor is tasteful and pleasant music. We were greeted by straight away by friendly staff and seated there and then. Service was spot on. We both ordered a starter and main from their plentiful but not overwhelming menu. I already know what I'd order on my next visit! Really nice experience. We were given a 2 hour slot which is more than enough time as the food was served in good time. 👍🏽

I am unsure whether this restaurant has new owners or a different chef but the standard of food on this visit was not as good as on previous visits. I have not been for about 12 months and I can honestly say, my husband and I were very disappointed. We chose the set lunch menu which appeared good value for money until you got to taste the food. My husband chose the mixed bean soup for starter and he had to put a load of pepper into it because it was that bland. I had a taste of it as well and I had to agree with him. For his main course, he chose ‘Pollo Al Vino Rossi’, which basically was a chicken breast covered in a tomato sauce. It was served with some Mediterranean vegetables and salad. He said it was just OK. I ordered the ‘Baked Red Pepper’ for my starter, which I do have to say was absolutely beautiful. For my main course, I had ‘Risotto with meatballs’. There were only 2 meatballs buried in a huge bowl of rice. I have had risotto many times in different restaurants and I know the rice should be cooked ‘al dente’ but this was mushy and watery. I do have to add though, that the service was excellent. Sorry but we won’t be returning for a while.

Out for a special occasion food was nice and service was good. But disappointed you could not get a dry rose wine by the glass.

Lovely place, child friendly and the service was very good I ordered a pizza, Pizza speziato.Cajun spiced chicken,onions,peppadew chillies, mozzarella and tomatoes. I was the only one at our table who had a pizza. I didn't enjoy it. The pizza came with a seated steak knife to cut the pizza but I found it very difficult to do this.I think the reason for this is that the base of the pizza was burnt. There was very little chicken on the pizza,a few cherry tomatoes and not very spicy. Having said that everybody else enjoyed there meal

I’ve been here twice with my partner, we plan more visits. The food is to the highest quality and tastes amazing. Prices are reasonable. Service is great, especially Bruno.

It's ok, but also not ok. Such an unexciting menu and everything seems to be cooked with cream. Our pasta and risotto arrived so quickly it was worrying, like we were in McDonalds. It was busy, and the waitress was great, but it didn't feel at all authentically Italian. Probably won't be going back.

Always loved this place and have great memories of previous. This visit was a lovely birthday lunch for about a dozen of my favourite folk. Ages ranked from 18 mnths to over 70s and all found dishes to suit them. Staff coped with our rambunctious junior members very well and were friendly and helpful throughout. Loved the lunchtime menu and managed 3 courses for well under £20.

I recently went for a very enjoyable evening with friends, we shared a couple of starters which were very nice and then had mains and dessert too. I asked the server if they’d be happy to cook my food a little longer (nothing to do with them, a personal choice matter) and they were happy to do that for me. The food was so tasty that I forgot to get any photos of the starter and main!

We were booked for a table of 5 last night 7.12.24 travelled 40 mins in horrendous weather and floods to find they were closed due to a power cut. I understand that is beyond their control but the attitude of the person that spoke to us was VERY rude. I asked why they hadn’t contacted us ‘we gave no phones’ I’m sure someone, staff were all sitting inside, had a mobile. I really thought I would receive a phone call or email this morning apologising but nothing. Will not be visiting again. Suggest customer service training. Just wonder what would happen if we just hadn’t turned up ?

Really lovely restaurant that is very well organised. Interior layout is comfortable, modern and well laid out. Sufficient flexibility to accommodate larger groups or more intimate settings as well. Service was great and not over officious. Lots of menu choices to suit all and not just pizza. Very keen pricing and enjoyed the visit. Very clean throughout

Fantastic Italian restaurant with a huge selection of dishes. The whole family were super pleased with their meals and the prices are very reasonable. My son loved trying out his Italian lessons with the waiters! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Been lots of times in the past and received a really good experience, unfortunately on this occasion did not. We were a table of 13, one of the pizzas was burnt so returned for another to be cooked, 2nd one was undercooked. Some of the meals temperatures only just about warm, hot drinks at the end only just warm, childrens ice cream was wrong. They apologised and said it was because they were busy (which I appreciate) but we should receive the same attention to detail as all the other customers in the restaurant, and it felt like we were rushed all the way through from start to finish. Just because we are a larger table doesn't mean we should be rushed and the food/drink not be of the same quality as everyone elses. I was booking a table for next week for myself and friends, but this experience unfortunately has put me off :(

Enjoyed our meal with friends. Food was good value for money. However, the foccacia starter is not foccacia but a cheesy, herby pizza base which is disappointing.

Nice restaurant with a huge menu, but only a couple of items can be made vegan, which I found disappointing! (Nothing on the set lunch menu could be adapted, which is very limited and not made, so all dietary requirements can be enjoy it) Waiters' knowledge not great either, as they thought vegans could eat cream and cheese!?! The food that we had was nice. On the expensive side, though.

I booked a table two weeks in advance but felt we were given the last table available as if we had just walked in off the Street. It took 25 minutes to have our order taken. We had a starter which was fine. When our main meal arrived my husband didn't quite get what he ordered. Whilst they offered to get some chips for my husband, we declined, saying the food was fine, but it wasn't what was ordered. When our dessert was delivered they offered the wrong dessert to each of us. We had to ask for another drink, and at no time were we asked if our meal was satisfactory. We felt the service was not satisfactory and felt there was a lack of attention to detail and too much attention given to those who appeared to be regular customers, instead of everyone being treated equal. Our disappointment was reflected when we paid the bill, and omitted to leave a service charge.

I absolutely love this place, very friendly staff, reasonable prices and good quality and sized portions, great atmosphere too.

I organised a work meal for 13 of us on Saturday afternoon. We all had the 3 course lunchtime menu, there was alot of choice, portions were generous and the quality of the food was superb. Extremely good value for money. The waiters went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after and we had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you.

Went out for a weekend dinner and were very excited to try this restaurant for the first time. The service was okay, but the issue was with the food. A portion of the spaghetti in my Bolognese was stuck together in a big clump, and my partner's tuna was quite plain. I was also surprised that the Aperol Spritz was served in a champagne coupe (which of course isn’t a big deal). Unfortunately, we left a bit disappointed, as we do love Italian food :(

We often come to this restaurant as a couple but this time it was a family members 30th birthday and the party consisted of 11 adults and 1 toddler. From start to finish it was superb, the staff were attentive everybody's food came out together nice and hot and every single person commented on how delicious the food was. We brought our own birthday cake which again wasn't a problem. So all in all a fabulous evening. Thank you for making it memorable for all the right reasons.

Had a meal out with friends. Atmosphere was good and there were quite a few people there on the Friday evening. We had 2 courses which were good. The staff were brilliant and very friendly. Their attitude and friendliness helped make the evening and is to be commended.

I ordered a Cannelloni and on the menu it was described as tubes of pasta but what arrived was definitely Lasagne with sheets of pasta. Maybe they think it’s the same dish. The menu didn’t include the cheese either just beef and veggies. I asked for Penne pasta with bolognese sauce and this was definitely tubes. The food is good there but it would be nice if they updated the menu.

Best Italian Restaurant in Stoke. Tomato soup with basil tastes just so amazing added with very fresh bread. I recommend everyone to try one of their pizzas. Freshly made. Very professional, smile and friendly stuff.

First and last time eating here.I have been many times to the stone branch over the years and always found food,service and management good. Newcastle branch was totally different. The manager (Adrian) needs to get a grip or be replaced...service was dreadful and food less than disappointing..Will never go back but will happily visit stone again.

Pasta was over cooked. They were busier than expected, but I've had nicer spaghetti bol's elsewhere. Lady serving us was also grumpy.

Pre-made pasta dishes (they came out literally within 2 minutes of our order). Still somewhat tasty.

This was the regular "celebration" meal place when I was at uni in Keele. To this day, one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been too, and that includes restaurants in Italy. Hope to come back soon. It's been too long.

I'm a huge fan of their stone restaurant, feels very authentic and food is great. This branch is our local one so we have been more than the stone one but it does not hit the mark sadly. Seems to be different staff every time, food is not the best and why are they drowning the tiramisu (apologise for my spelling) is chocolate sauce? The lunch time meal (16 for 3 course) is great value but needs to be changed now and then.

Placed order for my wife’s 50th birthday. Food arrived 45 minutes asked driver and phoned restaurant both blamed each other. When food opened starters missing main meals cold and this one risotto came without any rice. Again called restaurant offered no help . Please avoid

I would put 0 stars if possible. Ordered food for my mother 50th birthday, half the food was missing, it came 45 minutes before the set time through just eat so there was waiting around for people to come back home. When ringing the restaurant they were very rude and said it’s a just eat problem! All the food had to be put in the oven to warm up even before other guests arrived. There was also food missing which they didn’t seem to care about. We had been to the restaurant previously for dining in where the food came out too quick and we had a heater over us which they wouldn’t turn off after we said we were too hot so we ended up turning it off ourselves! Very rude staff Would NOT recommend

Had such a lovely meal here! The service from start to end was faultless, and the food was delicious. Can't recommend it enough and will definitely be in my list of top favourites!

Best italian place in Stoke by far

Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere

Service and food were disappointing. I order a pasta dish and asked for it without mushrooms but when it came out it was full of mushrooms. I explained to the waiter that I requested it without mushrooms, he reluctantly took the dish back. My husband ordered a steak rare, but it looked more medium to well. When we explained this to the same waiter he actually argued trying to tell us it was rare. However he eventually took the dish back. We eventually both got what we ordered and how we ordered it but at different times. We did contemplate leaving when the dishes needed to go back due to waiters attitude, but thought we’d give them a chance to redeem themselves. The food was ok, but the waiters attitude remained a little off for the rest of the evening. I don’t think we’ll be returning to this restaurant.

Unfortunately after coming here for a long time we were let down, and I'll explain why. The positives were the food was spot on the service was spot on but that's where it ends Upon arrival we were shown to a rickety table (had to be propped up), the chair cushions stained, once the table was stable we looked at the menus and they were sticky and had food on them! Looked around and there was clearly a leak in the roof somewhere as there was staining and paint bubbling/ peeling, the place needs a re paint and some work done, the gent's toilets had loose taps, and they didn't clean up the floor where someone had clearly missed the urinal even though I did tell them when I came downstairs, and it was still the exact same when I left after the meal which is just bad hygiene 😕. For a venue we love to end up like this isn't good at all especially with the prices of the food, it used to be coming here was about an experience, about having what I pay for( punching alot higher when I'm paying premium quality prices), even the menu hasn't changed much, it's about having a Romantic night out and it really is not that experience any more, It's safe to say we won't be back untill things change at pasta Di piazza and I hate to say this but I'm been honest...

The food and ambiance at Pasta di Piazza is always a pleasure to experience. As I was out for a meal celebrating a new promotion the lovely waitress Eleanor kindly gave myself and my boyfriend a dessert on the house which was such a lovely touch! Beautiful little Italian restaurant, food is unbeatable and easy on the wallet highly recommended.

After coming to this restaurant for years. I feel this was the first time the standards had slipped. First impressions- we were sat on a rocky table, stained chairs with marked/ not wiped menus. Also, there was paint flaking on the ceiling - looked like a water leak. Not a great start. Food - food was OK. Came out quickly and was hot. Portion sizes have definitely gone smaller though. My only slight criticism was my calamari was slightly over so a bit chewy. Staff - were friendly and serviced us quickly. We both just felt the whole place needed some love and tlc throwing back into it.

First time visiting your restraunt, last week with my son, the ambience of the restraint, was very nice, staff were very friendly and good service, food was excellent best in our area, for me this was a special treats restraunt , prices a little high but you have to pay sometimes for a nice good place to eat, thank you to all staff.

Staff were polite and the environment is pleasant. But two side salads did not arrive (ordered once we saw that the lasagne didn't come with anything). And a dish contained mushrooms that my relative had specifically asked to not be in it. The waiter had written this on the order. Waitress was apologetic but this kind of error could be dangerous for some people. Lasagne wasn't particularly impressive and lacked flavour. Portions are reasonable but on the whole I found it an expensive evening.

Absolutely first class food lovely staff will definitely be going again

Had dinner with my dad and family last night. Food was exceptional both for us and the kids. The kids portions were great, adult meals were lovely. My wife said the salmon was very nice and I loved my Americana pizza. Meal was good value for the amount we had including drinks. Interior was modem, clean and very inviting. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Food came out quickly although well balanced between being able to enjoy a conversation. Highly recommended

Lovely food and attentive and friendly staff. My only negative would be the lack of options for my son who is lactose intolerant, limited options on the menu and nothing from the desert menu.

It's not often that you come across such attention to detail, even in the most renowned dining spots.

Just to put this into context- I have never written a review on anything to date, but felt the need to share the last two experiences I’ve had here. This restaurant used to be incredible, reliable and a frequent go to for myself & friends. I went for a meal here two weeks ago and it was awful. All the sauces are watered down now. My steak was awful. The three people who had the lobster ravioli all said it was nothing like it used to be. We did mention this to the staff, who appeared to not care at all. I understand everyone has off days, so I gave it another opportunity. We ordered a takeout on Sunday from here. The food standard was again awful. The dishes weren’t even a touch on what they used to be. The brocolli we ordered wasn’t even cooked! We phoned to ask if we could collect another and the very rude staff member on the phone said no! There was no care for the fact the food hadn’t been up to standard. We will certainly not be attending again. What a shame such an amazing place has gone down hill.

Service was terrible, the food was not cooked fresh as came out incredibly quick, produce was cheap and basic. The reason for the terrible comment was there was no (enjoy your meal) or any form of interaction from the waitress. If felt like we wasn’t welcome. Basically the food came out within minutes and was delivered to the table in silence. I have never received service like this anywhere. Also when we was leaving there was nothing from the staff, I said thanks to the person behind the bar as it felt like we was invisible. In a nutshell lovely seating area and decor, however the food is mediocre and service is terrible. Unfortunately we will not attend again and we love Italian food ☹️

We tried their Pizza Pollo Speziato, Penne al Pollo (pasta), Suprema di Pollo alla Crema (chicken), chocolate brownie, coffee, hot chocolate and child's beef burger + fries. I would highly recommend the chicken. The pasta and pizza were good as well. The staff were super nice and helpful. The atmosphere is great. There is a lot of seating. There is no street parking. Paid parking is a couple of blocks away from the restaurant.

Went for lunch 1:30pm on a Saturday atmosphere was very chilled and I had my 13 week old boy with me so enough space for a big pram. Food was fantastic. Service was great except they did mistake my friends order hence the 4 stars for service. They corrected it quickly… so we honestly have no complaints about this establishment! My 3rd visit to this restaurant and will be returning. P.s parking can be a pain…

My daughter and I went for Mother’s Day lunch, starters and main were excellent the dessert however was awful, obviously brought in, it was described on menu as soaked in liquor but sponge was dry with no taste of liquor as stated, neither of us eat the desserts, I mentioned the issue but surprisingly had no refund as the dessert cost £7 each I think this is unacceptable, on a more positive note the waiter was excellent

My daughter booked this for me and my husband, her mother and father in law, herself, husband and 2 children for Mother’s Day. She rand and booked but at that time there was a question mark over another 2 people. She rand a few days later and spoke to a male who retrieved the booking and my daughter confirmed the booking for 6 adults and 2 children. When we arrived in Mother’s Day we were told we no longer had a booking! The Manager said she had tried to ring my daughter 6 times the previous day but in checking she had written the wrong phone number down and the male hadn’t updated the booking. My daughter was in tears as she had arranged all this and the staff were not at all concerned that they had ruined Mother’s Day for 3 Mothers. In fact we were told to leave or they would ring the police. This is appalling behaviour towards customers in any day never mind a special day. Management have obviously looked into it and confirmed they were at fault and have since tried to bribe us with free drinks, free desserts etc. needless to say we will not be returning under any circumstances.

Sadly I find I need to share our experience. In fact one of the questions here said when did we visit and I had to answer March however we never got a table. We booked a table a few weeks prior to Mothers Day but didn’t know the exact numbers so we asked if we could confirm and pay the relevant deposit this was acceptable. So on Thursday the 7th March my Wife contacted the restaurant to confirm our numbers were in fact 8 and could we pay the deposit - the gentleman on the phone said your booking is confirmed but you don’t need to pay a deposit as it’s below 10 people. My wife repeatedly said so the table is booked then correct and he said yes. So we collected our relevant parents and didn’t feed the children with anticipation of what’s normally a place I’ve enjoyed going multiple times in the past. My Dad is 89 severely disabled can’t walk too far and has been diagnosed with heart failure getting him there was a struggle I have to half carry him. My mother who was also celebrating her 81st birthday on the same day has Crohn’s disease and finds it extremely hard in going out to enjoy meals. Upon arrival once I managed to get my father to the door my wife was upset - she said they haven’t got our table they have cancelled it. I was shocked but assumed this was a mistake however the lady manager who may I add is very rude and really not capable of doing her job said we tried to ring to confirm My wife asked to see the number - it was similar but she wrote the wrong digit down! Apparently that was my wife’s fault “apparently she repeats the number back” the same number she knows off the top of her head compared to someone writing it down but anyway the owner who give credit where credit is due has admitted they failed and the gentleman on Thurs should of confirmed it. Anyway we were very angry and frustrated and it was aimed at the incompetent manager in situ who personally coming from a Management Background is out of her depth and isn’t representing the company in the same manner that the owner has tried in the recent days. They ruined a Mother’s Day for 3 Mothers including my Wife and who wanted to do something nice for the family as this could very well be the last - she made her cry and a week under 2 year old baby cry. We couldn’t get in anywhere else and we let our parents down and they can never be forgiven for that - we shall never return & my advice would be to remove said manager to save your reputation. You need a manager that represents who you are as owners.

We have been frequent visitors since 2000 and eventually got to know many of the staff, such as Christine, who has served us over the years, and, more recently, Lister. On the 8th of March, we attended, and after ordering the food, it was served, we noticed that Penne ai Gamberetti bowl was hot; however, the pasta, salmon and prawns were cold; calling the waitress to explain, and she offered to get it replacement, within minutes the waitress returned, however, this time the food was warm as was the bowl; however, the wife then noticed the flakes of chilli that she had added to the food prior where still there, so calling the waitress over again, we informed her of this. However, she advised that the dish was replaced; we then questioned the chillies STILL in the food, and she advised that the chief must have re-added them. When the wife tried the food, it was hot, as was the bowl. However, the time to replace being so quick, she decided the food had been warmed up in a microwave. So, to be on the safe side, she only ate the pasta. We called for the bill and incorrectly received one for the table in front of us, so we had to speak to the person behind the bar, who advised the waitress to issue the correct table bill. Checking the bill, we questioned that the food was still on the bill; when we questioned this, she fetched a manager over whom we had never seen before, and we explained the situation. The manager’s tone changed for the worst; when we explained, she went and fetched the chef out of the kitchen, and at one point, both she and the chef had their voices raised to the point people were turning around and looking towards the table. At that moment, a statement sprang to mind: What happened to “right or wrong; the customer is always right”? At this point, we have NEVER felt so embarrassed, to the point that my wife, in a loud voice, said ’enough is enough’ you are upsetting our son with all your shouting to the point people appear astonished at your staff's outburst towards the public we will NEVER return, and do not feel comfortable recommending customers to this establishment. Sadly, standards have slipped quite a bit over time, and it is definitely not as good as it used to be. This incident marks a departure from the years of positive experiences we've had at your establishment. We regretfully say we can no longer recommend this restaurant to others, nor do we feel comfortable returning, given the staff's lack of understanding and respect during our last visit.

Popped in for a quick lunch. As ever the food was lovely, served quite quickly by a pleasant waitress.
