Pasco's Italian in East Riding of Yorkshire

Just had a meal here with the other half. It was ok but can’t say it was anything special. Didn’t think it represented good value for what we had. Found the interior a little disappointing tables and chairs rather ‘cafe’ like and they dont add anything to the atmosphere.

Nice and quiet excellent server Had a voucher.

Enjoyed a great meal here with friends.Lovely food,good portions . Young lady who served us was very pleasant with a nice personality and had a good rapport with us . Atmosphere a bit muted because of lack of customers but that isn't their fault,it was mid evening on a Sunday.

Very nice food pleasant staff service is excellent very clean definitely recommended twice we been and both times lovely food and friendly service excellent.

I have been to this restaurant on two occasions. As an Italian I can say that I liked the pizza and my colleagues were enthusiastic about the first courses. Generous portions. Very professional service. The place is a bit dated but welcoming. Highly recommended

Fabulous time, food was good, the steak, however, was sinewy but the service was great and very easy to pay for the bill individually.

Called in for a lunch time piza went for the lunch menu one .Can now see why it cheaper hardly any topping and looked as had just Been thrown on.

What a fabulous day yesterday 18/08/24 we had 3 birthdays in our family and the staff could not do enough for us the food was amazing and the service was excellent they even made my favourite drink even though it was not in the menu !they brought individual cakes with candles and sparkles for the 3 birthdays the pudding were to die for every was wonderful 5 stars from me and my family

Me and my daughter went to the market and spent a lovely day in Cottingham. Had lunch here and the whole experience was great. Tasty food, great lovely staff! We will be back 😊

Genuine Italian, serving splendid Italian fayre. The highly amusing waiter is the icing on the cake. Loved it.

Pascoes has changed recently the regular staff are lovely . Is there a new manager the one that greeted me and some of my family was lacking in every way . Can elaborate interested to know if the owner has changed because it was excellent before ?

(Visited May 2024) We came here for my Mam’s birthday: one of the reasons for this is that she received a voucher offering a free birthday meal. In reality, it’s £10 off a dish. This didn’t impress me. I opted for the Tortellini al Salmone, which was reasonable. Service was attentive. -- (Visited Sep 2021) My family came here to try it, as we’d heard good things. I indulged in a sweet cocktail- something along the lines of a Purple Rain. As for food, I fancied something a little different and so went for the Anatra al Mango (duck with mango chutney sauce). Presentation-wise, it was a bit sloppy, but tasted very good.

The food is nice but it's a little expensive overall

We called in here during the Bank Holiday weekend, the owner(I presume) took our order of 2 pizzas and proceeded to grumble "I will see if I can get anyone to make pizza, nobody wants to work anymore!" The young waitress who seated us was friendly and attentive.The pizzas arrived and we're beige to say the least, they were bland and tasteless. We ate half and took the rest home where we added seasoning in hope to enhance them but they were still probably the poorest ,most expensive pizzas we have had. Will not visit again.

Really lovely evening for my 60th Birthday Craig is lovely and helpful and made us laugh will be going again definitely thanks to all the staff

Great tasting food and friendly and professional staff. For a change of mains we opted for chicken dishes ..., pollo con pancetta and pollo cardinale.. definitely recommended.

Getting expensive ,£5 for a small bowl of chips ,lasagne has got smaller yet more expensive ,we used to visit quite frequently, but unfortunately not any more ,shame because the food is lovely and so is staff ..

We love Pasco's and visit for family occasions, with family travelling from the South bank to come. The atmosphere is fabulous and one of the reasons we love it. Food is reasonably priced and is usually of a high standard. On this occasion we found the seafood in the linguine marinara and calamari starter were over cooked, which somewhat spoilt my son's meal. All other meals were of the usual high quality. My son has said it has put him off visiting again which is disappointing.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere but a little let down with food. Pizza dough is quite thick and the toppings, although plentiful, needed more seasonings, garlic, herbs, etc. Our friend's burger was rather burnt. We did suggest her sending it back, but she didnt.

Haven't been for a while but was slightly disappointed with our experience. Service was very slow, they were quite busy but still took 20mins for our drinks. Food was ok but wasn't something i wowed over. Felt like they put more effort into the takeaway orders rather then customer's in the restaurant. Would go back but not in any rush to do so 😕

Loved it! Came for dinner with family on a Thursday night in February, few tables in when we arrived so a good atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient service. Food came quickly and was great portions and very well cooked Everyone loved their meals and we had some desserts too. No Specific kids menu but they said they could make any of the pasta or pizza dishes for kids which was perfect Will definitely return when we are next in the area

Great service, great food, just great

Way too cramped! Christmas time we couldn’t get out of our seats when the next table were seated! Very uncomfortable as the people behind kept banging the backs of our chairs! Very hollow and noisy room. Not the relaxing meal we had looked forward to. We wouldn't choose to go again, which is a shame as so close to home!

We have been coming to Pasco's Italian for a number of years. Have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the past, especially when Walter and Anne are there, both totally professional. However over recent months we have noticed quite a change in the place, including the price hike on the menu, I can't justify £13 for a margarita pizza and £12.70 for a child's portion of rigatoni al pesto pasta. No meat in either. Just thought I should comment on my recent visit.

Excellent lunch with my little lad, he woofed the lasagne and my burger was really good. Highly recommended.

Visited for lunch before Christmas with my famously picky family and had a genuinely lovely experience. The staff were all exceptionally patient, friendly and happy to lend an opinion on which menu items to try - nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent - between us, we sampled 4 different mains and 3 different desserts, and all left very satisfied. Highly recommended!

We went to Pasco’s today and having been there before was looking forward to it but was not impressed. Food was okay but service was slow to say it wasn’t busy. When we asked for condiments they never came. I had to ask for the bill 3 times before it came. But to be honest my main issue is the disabled toilet/baby changing room. It was awkward for me with my baby and his oxygen tank never mind if you were disabled. Clearly used for storage with boxes and a hoover on the floor and the staffs coats hung up and trainers on the floor! Not hygienic at all!

Good food, lovely staff, family atmosphere. Recommended.

Pascos doesn't seem to be what it used to be. Food just ok. Daytime service not good nor is the atmosphere.

Good food at reasonable prices. Staff a bit sleepy at the end of their shift. A group of loud shreiking women rather spoiled the atmosphere.

It was ok. The food was acceptable, but my son thought the filling in his calzone could have been better mixed. It was Halloween, but there were very few decorations. The staff, although pleasant, didn't seem to know what each other was doing. Two separate waitresses came to take our drinks order, and the same when it came to paying, two separate staff appeared with the card machine.

Wonderful Italian, excellent evening meals and lovely breakfast. Do recommend getting a coffee and salmon for breakfast, and a nice prosciutto mushroom pizza on an evening

Great food as always, Walter is an asset to tbe restraunt.

We dined for lunch on Sunday 8th Oct. As usual everything was perfect. One chap near us however was complaining and upset a female member of staff. They say males when angry lose intelligence and honestly he was out of line. Something about chicken. Disgusting behaviour that was aimed at serving staff. He walked out and the staff remained professional and brilliant as usual.

Been here about four times now very miserable staff not helpful in anyway..

Enjoyed a lovely family meal. The waiters were attentive and provided a good service without being intrusive or making us feel rushed. Meals were adapted for differing tastes without any problem, and my 2 year old great neice was catered for extremely well.

Another enjoyable visit to Pasco’s in Cottingham for delicious food and exemplary service. Walter is brilliant and delivers a real ‘feel’ of Italy in his friendly banter and Iwona is a treasure, an efficient and helpful ray of sunshine.

Excellent Food, Great service and top notch atmosphere with a personal touch. Very humble and tentative Staff. Good portion sizes and "Jazzed Up" puddings for all with a sweet tooth! Reasonable price, for top notch food. Highly recommended 👍 A+++

Tried Pasco's Italian as my usual dinnertime haunt in Cottingham appeared to have been commandeered by the blue rinse brigade scoffing rounds of toast and sipping down tea since the very sad closure of their beloved Secret Garden. I departed Christoffs crestfallen wondering where can I sit and have something to eat now? After I was told there wasn't a single seat for yours truly. I started to search the village of Cottingham, the pain of hunger ever increasing when stumbled across Pasco's Italian, and I'm glad I did, as it was a nice place to eat. Friendly staff and the service was good. Although it was very quiet when I ate there so not sure how good the service would be on a busy night but I've no reason to doubt it would be any different. I only ate one main course but what I had was very nice, couldn't fault it. Only marked the atmosphere lower as it was very quiet at that time. Although not the cheapest I will certainly be going back to try more of their bill of fare.

First time visit for a snack today due to it being recomended by friends, the food, cheese and onion toasty was nice but no WOW! factor, the evening menu looked interesting tho.

Food and service is generally good, just wish they had a choice on Gluten Free pizza's.

Took my granddaughter out for a meal here. Pretty standard food, pastas, pizza etc. Did feel pretty rushed. Had barely sat before we were asked for our drinks order. Same with the food. My husband thought his spaghetti bolognese was tinned, it certainly wasn't freshly made with mince. We have been here several times in previous years and the food was always good. I assume that its a sign of the times.

Nice little Italian restaurant on the outskirts of Hull. Nice atmosphere and good food although the restaurant was a tad cold. That said it was a very cold winter night.

Excellent Italian home cooked food.Comprehensive menu and very attentive service.Welcoming atmosphere provided by staff but sadly let down by basic canteen style interior.They need to make it cosier with more attractive decor and furnishings - a relatively small investment which would make a huge difference and enhance the excellent food and service!

So I booked a table for me and my family, turned up and stood where it says wait to be seated. The girl in charge came across after being on her phone and then said yes….i thought rude. I said oh I’ve booked a table, she replied yes. And just stood there looking at me. I then just thought I’ll give her my name and go sit down. She just said yeah sit anywhere. I sat down waiting for the rest of my family to arrive, and she walked off so I was sat thinking I’d of liked a drink while I waited lol but never mind. Other two arrived and we waited to be served. Seemed alright and took our orders. Took a while and frankly we was disappointed, pizza dough was soggy and chewy, mozzarella was so thick I nearly choked on it. Just wasn’t pleased. The squid rings are definitely from frozen just really overcooked. The cream paster was ok just very sickly. Definitely not worth the money we paid. It use to be good I loved it there and now it’s awful!!!!!!

Very disappointing. The pizza is worst than a takeaway. The pasta is overcooked with loads of sloop sauce. Not a genuine Italian place anymore.

I went to Pasco's in Cottingham not expecting much, as I'd previously been to the branch on St Andrews quay, where the waiter told us there was only one vegan dish available, and no starters, and no desserts. And we got the impression he didn't really want to be there BUT... The Cottingham branch was brilliant! The waitress was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. She knew they had a full seperate vegan menu and quickly brought us it. I had the pea and asparagus risotto, which was heavenly!!! My mum had the pasta dish which she said was delicious. We also had cocktails that were 2 for 1 and very yummy. The desserts were also great, cookies and cream gateau and salted caramel brownies. We will definitely be returning to the Cottingham branch!

Went for my birthday with the family. Food was delicious, oy slight critique was it was a bit cold inside. A few birthday beers resolved that though.
