Park Road Chippy in Kingston upon Thames

I went here to order haddock with chips to go. It was my first time, and was expecting good things coming from a 4.7 rating out of 502. As soon as I entered, I horrified at the sight. There was a large fly roaming around, and the kitchen area seems liked it was not cleaned by the outgoing shift the night prior. It was around 12nn, so I figured the closer team did not bother to clean at all. As for the food, it was disappointing. It was so bad that my wife and I did not bother to finish at all. At the very least, the people there were kind. Suffice to say, it is a shadow of its former glory. I will not be coming back. I'll stick to our local chippy at the Triangle. Also, please clean up your mess.

Very homely and lovely staff, great cheesy chipy chips and really good, filling burgers. Wish I didn’t scoff the burger so fast, I’d have taken a picture. Would definitely come back.

Quality on Fish … great! Quality on chips not so on this occasion. Quantity on chips was lacking.. we ordered large but what seemed like received standard/singie… we know because we’re regular customers. Not sure what’s going on when this ‘hit & miss’ quality/quantity situ … especially with the chips!

slaverloy was not suitable to be eaten smelled funny and tasted funny upon trying it.

This isn’t a proper fish and chip shop. The chips are oven chips (and were soggy). The fish came from a supermarket. Really disappointed with my meal

Saveloy stank! So bad I had to remove it from the house to the outside bin. I ordered one. Was sent 2, stone cold. So I microwaved them for 30 seconds and the smell was horrendous. I would never order from here again. They were clearly off and sending 2 rather than one I guess is suppose to make up for the fact they stank!! It’s dangerous I would have rather been sent none then 2 clearly off ones!

Driver wouldn't come to my block to deliver. Sent me a text saying he'd arrived. I said come to my block to deliver it to my front door. He ignored my text. My husband had to go out to mee him. In the end. This is why our food was delivered cold. But he was on a Pedal Bike aswell. So not very suitable for the distance he had to deliver it from and to. A faster version of transport is needed. And using a Hot Box/Bag would be helpful.

Some sausage like saveloy is spoiled. Waste of money do not order from there.

The food is edible… however the chips taste like oven chips as I observed he used frozen chips which is completely new to me as a majority of chip shops use freshly cut potatoes. With a name like Parkroad Chippy you would expect the chips to be high quality. As for the service, it was terrible very grumpy man and acted as if doing his job was a chore. Very unsatisfactory experience.

Have in the past been very happy with food and service however this time it was not up to their usual standards. The chips were lukewarm and the fish tasted is if was cooked long before it was sent.

Delivered by uber eats who also didn't provide a refund so money completed wasted on inedible but expensive food. Saveloy was gone off and brown, with horrible off smell, picture attached to show inside. Food hygiene dangerously low, do not order from here

The food was delivered by uber eats tonight and was raw and smelt vile as the savaloy was gone off and cold and the fish was stone cold and not cooked Food hygeine very poor !! Do not order from here ! Have become very ill from this takeaway DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ORDERING FROM HERE AS THE FOOD THEY SERVE TO YOU IS OUT OF DATE AND UNDER COOKED !!

The food is sooo good which annoying. They gave a big portion of fish portion, that was fresh and crunchy and delicious. Unfortunately they left stuff of my order and did not answer the phone. So based on that I will not come back. We have enough places that serve the same food.

Chips were ok, cost 50p just to put sauce on a burger, onion rings were soggy and pale, curry sauce was watery and they forgot our scampi. Cod bites were good though. Huge portion and tasty. Overall quite disappointing

looked very nice, nice packaging. unfortunately it was cold and the batter from the fish stayed on the greaseproof paper. batter was 'wet' not crispy. Good curry sauce. Such a shame

Not sure how this place has got 4.7. Probably the only chip shop I have ever been to that uses frozen chips. Items all over the place, looks to have poor hygiene standards.

The curry sauce poured in the bag, everything was covered. The chips were cold, the chips poured out the packaging. What a waste of money, I am lost for words. What a huge disappointment. 1 star is too good for what I received.

The saveloy tasted bland, well as the jumbo sausage and the curry sauce didn't taste as it should be with a hit of pepper and it was to runny.

Crispy batter and just the right amount, combined with a decent portion of well cooked chips - what is there not to like ?

I ordered through Deliveroo and specifically added a note to add salt and vinegar as we didn’t have anything. Nothing was added and without either, the fish and chips I ordered was bland.

We were impressed. Very happy of the size of the portions and it was still hot when it arrived.

The menu of park road chippy in the picture for COD and buttered sausage has chips but when it delivers No chips included. Next time change your picture if single it’s only the COD fish removed the chips. The fish is so bland no salt .

They have amazing lunch time deals and a very kind atmosphere, the cod was huge and they provided a great portion of chips.

Great fish and chips - and what friendly service. Batter is amazing and gluten-free. The portion sizes are very good and this feels like real value for money. We have been coming for a couple of years and have never been disappointed!

First time trying the food from here and unfortunately it wasn't great. The saveloy was watery and tasteless, the chips were dry and the curry sauce was very bland and jelly like. Other than that, the battered sausage was OK. Sorry to say that we won't be returning.

We got 3 burgers and fries and were super delighted. The owner was super charming and made me fries while we waited. Everywhere else was closed for food but we were so glad we stopped here. Highly recommend. Clean, good quality and great customer service!

all the separate items were shoved into two boxes. no salt and vinegar on the chips or even provided to add should one wish. no tartar sauce or lemon offered with the cod I just paid £10.50 for. Park road chippy- you can keep your worthless stamp card coz I will mot be returning! I shall stick with great fish and chips!!
