Got a take away pizza Really nice and staff accommodated my needs

I had a disappointing experience with Papa John's. The dips lacked flavor, the pizza left a bad aftertaste, and the cheesy garlic bread was sickly. Overall, everything fell short, and I wouldn't reorder. The lengthy order-to-delivery time was another drawback. Comparatively, Domino's down the road is not only quicker but also offers a tastier alternative. If it was possible to put zero stars as a rating I would.

Pizza wasn't 🍕 great, definitely glad didn't pay around £24.95 for large pizza & then extra £3.99 for crispy cheese base. No the wonder they weren't busy. I'd rather put the money towards buying fresh food & cooking nice meal instead. So won't be going back in hurry 😒 🙄

Ordered for collection. When I got there the guy behind the counter could tell I was a bit flustered - I'd had a bad day - he offered me some water. He was really kind and made sure I was ok. Honestly, he made my day so much better. A small kind gesture that made such a difference. The food was great too!!

JUST PAID OVER £25 FOR TWO PIZZAS THAT ARRIVED 30 MINUTES LATE AND STONE COLD !!! RANG THEM ALL I GOT WAS THEY'VE BEEN BUSY. DISGUSTED !!!!

I've tried twice now in the hopes the first time was just unlucky. Both times delivery took over an hour and the food was not even average in quality. For the price you'd expect much much more. Can't see it lasting very long.

Pizza was ok could have done with being in oven a bit longer. Not sure how this works but same pizza in London cheaper than in the North. Staff hard to understand - doubt I’ll be back

Legendary pizza that's cheaper than dominos can't go wrong

Pizza was 40 minutes late and very disappointing. Supposed to be BBQ chicken with bacon and onion. There was no bacon just cheap, fatty processed ham and no chicken or barbecue sauce. How can they justify their extortionate prices. Absolute rubbish. The garlic dip was like off milk. Avoid at all costs!

Really poor pizza. Whole family agree that it is no where near as good as Dominoes. Base very average, and altogether very bland. Staff friendly very friendly, and prices reasonable. But, back to Dominoes from now on.

Fairly mediocre. Pizzas and sides are tasty enough but nowhere close to justifying the prices they charge. Website didn't work for the first 6 weeks after opening either. The sides in particular are massively overpriced. A few 'potato tots' which are available from Iceland for a huge bag, some tiny pieces of bacon or ham, and barely any cheese despite paying extra for the 'better' option.

Awful service. Food didn't arrive. On hold for ages, then said would ring driver and hung up. Called back, driver doesn't know where food is. Refused to refund and remaking order. Complete farce: going to be at least an hour late. It better taste like heaven for the faff and the cost.

Delivery driver couldn’t find my house. And was foreign so couldn’t understand my directions over phone. Food was greasy as hell. No a patch on dominoes!

We ordered the pizza to come at 6:30. The pizza was meant to take 30 minutes. On the tracker it said that the pizza had already been delivered. We thought that this may have been a mistake so we waited another 20 mins and the pizza still hadn’t arrived so we called. They said that they had been to our house and knocked on the door, which was not true, and then proceeded to say that they had called us, which again, was not true. After another 30 mins of waiting the food had arrived. We had ordered the tater tot’s, cheesy jalapeño bites and a ‘Nduja medium pepperoni pizza. When I opened the pizza box I was at an instant disappointment, there was about 5 pieces of pepperoni on the pizza, that is ridiculously low for a medium pizza! That’s not even mentioning the sausage that was meant to be on there. There was nothing there!!! The pizza in itself tasted okay but there was still the disappointment in my mind from the toppings. The tater tots were not nearly crispy enough and the cheesy jalapeño bites contained one of the most disgusting cheeses that I had ever tasted. Just go to domino’s instead!

The pizza was quite good but not as nice as the Durham and Newcastle store. Hopefully this will change. Prices are high and the free garlic dip is disgusting.

Best tasting pizza I've ever had. I ordered a small cheese pizza and went to the actual place to buy it and eat it outside. Pizza was extremely cheap for its size at £4 and tasted even better in the garlic sauce. The staff was respectful and I got my pizza in 15 minutes at a record ordering speed.

So happy papa johns has come to consett. Especially after every other pizza place is pure trash.

We just ordered our first pizza at the new store in Consett. We won't be going back. We ordered 90 minutes before we picked it up. When we got there it wasn't ready and had to wait a further 20 minutes. It wasn't worth the wait. Tasteless and underwhelming. We ordered a meat feast, that was a joke, hardly any meat on it . Next time we go back to Domino's.
