Papa John's Pizza in Torfaen

A scrawny ginger Papa John's delivery driver with a pubey beard cut us off on the road today, and then proceeded to shout abuse at us when we would not be intimidated to move out of his way in the car park behind Papa John's Cwmbran. He was driving a dark estate car. If someone is paid to drive delivering pizzas, they should know the rules of the road.

Brilliant fresh tasting pizza. The service from start to finish was excellent. Delivery was on time and the pizza was still hot. Will order again from this store 👍

I wouldn't even bother attempting to order a delivery from this store, my two pizzas came stone cold and was literally mushed to one side of the box. The store itself wouldn't refund or replace my pizza as it was "fine when it left the store". Absolute joke of management in that store. Pictures posted

Absolute disgrace that this firm are now charging a delivery charge. Cracking pizzas but offering £7.99 on a collection for a large pizza or £12.99 for delivery. Fair enough a £5 surcharge but to add another £1.50 for a delivery is taking the p1ss. W4nkers.

My money being taken then told all the ovens are off yet website says they are still open, but i have to wait a week for my money back when i called back spoke to a very rude lady, an apology would of been nice! Not great customer service as customers we go by website times as any sensable person would.

We waited an hour and a half for a Luke warm pizza. They really scrimped on the toppings - onions are not expensive - but we were glad they scrimped on the tuna which was cheap and nasty. We will not be getting pizza from there again.

My pizza tastes fine, but talk about skimping on the toppings!! I had an xxl Mexican/hawaian and I could count 12 tiny pieces of beef, even less pineapple and barely any ham! If I wanted plain old cheese and tomato I would've ordered it!!!

Been meaning to try Papa Johns for eons after I was told they do great pizza. I was disappointed. Also disapointed by the app saying my pizza hadn't even been made 45 minutes later when in fact it had been cooked and was left spoiling under the heater. Good job I went in on the off chance to see when it would be ready or I would have been waiting all night ..... the shop staff knew the app 'doesn't work' , thanks for not telling me. Will be sticking with Dominos as I find them much nicer - and the progress app works!

Love papa johns, this one was particularly good and great customer service. Order from here all the time.

Despite order and payment confirmation, Papa Johns Cwmbran wouldn't honour my order. Will never buy from them again. Would give zero stars if Google would allow.

I rang up the shop after not being able to order online. I spoke to Ed. He deserves a medal he was so nice and understanding onnwhaybo wanted. Will definitely order again from here with customer service like that

Worst “dead” food and customer service by CHRIS and team at Cwmbran. Thought would try the local papjohns. Food was dead almost best way to describe it plastic Got the order WRONG x2!! Ignored my call the 2nd time but answered off another number. Avoid bad service and bad food to top it here!!

I cant praise them enough, the lady on the phone was very helpful and got me a really good deal on my meal, also the manager was awesome for letting me order outside their post code radius, and the food is awesome of course, altogether it was a good experience i cant rate them higher, well done *****.

Ordered 14:00 arrived 15:15. used the tracker and it said it had arrived but turned up 10 mins later. Food was luke warm so the potatoes were tossed. Pizza was tasty but the crust was very chewy (think that might have been cos it was not hot. This is the first time I have had Papa John's and if you go by the other reviews, perhaps this was a bad day but none the less, I was disappointed.

Absoulety brilliant, I'm.normally harsh on deliverys but fairplay they deliver to pontypool from Cwmbran where dominos and pizza hut don't even though they are right next to each other, and although it a 15 min drive the food Turned up pipping hot like it just came out of the oven, delivery driver was friendly and the online site deals are more than fair, something for everyone, first class well done to the papa John's Cwmbran team 👍👏👏

Has gone down hill. I paid for double portions of toppings, but what I got was not even normal portions. I had to look hard to find any ham and one slice had just one little bit of mushroom and nothing else.

We've ordered with Papa Johns in Cwmbran for the last few weeks and were really happy with the service received. Food has always been delivered promptly and warm.Tonight, we unfortunately were disappointed with one of the pizzas we ordered. The red peppers on it which we paid extra for were burnt and inedible. The rest of the pizza was surprisingly fine. We contacted Papa Johns Cwmbran on Facebook messenger to raise our concern. They responded instantly and apologised. They encouraged us to ring them so they could arrange for the pizza to be replaced under their quality guarantee. As we were ringing them, they messaged to say they were about to ring us. They said that the red peppers were prone to burning and suggested us having the green peppers instead which we agreed to. The last few orders the red peppers were fine hence our confusion when we received our order tonight.The replacement pizza was delivered promptly. The delivery driver was really lovely and courteous (as they always are). They apologised again and offered us a gesture of goodwill through giving us a Ben & Jerry's ice cream. We really appreciated this especially with being loyal customers with Papa Johns Cwmbran; they didn't have to offer this. Overall, despite this error tonight, Papa Johns in Cwmbran have provided fantastic service each time we've ordered with them.

Good food, love it if you are able to wait over an hour for delivery.

Ordered at 4:22 (according to the email receipt) still had not arrived by 5:15.when i phoned to check the order I was told "It was out on the road, it left about 10 mins ago".When the order finally did arrive EVERYTHING had to be microwaved.DO NOT USEWILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS OUTLET AGAIN.

The management are straight out of the clown college. They don’t care when they mess up your order and serve meat to vegetarians and vegans. Vile service and mediocre food.

Disgusting will never go back. Had a ham and pineapple with extra topping on it. There wasn't even enough topping for each slice. When we complained they brought another one, but exactly the same. We were then told "that is all we are allowed to put on". Complained to head office but never heard anything back. Never again!!

Dreadful... Never order from there again. Ordered at 20:15 and pizza did not turn up until gone 22:00. Took one bite was stone cold. Had to warm up in oven.. absolute joke!!!!!!

Have only used Papa John's once or twice, it's ok. I prefer dominos.

Ordered food at 17:15, called them at 18:45 to see where our food was, they said a driver had already called which unless she was a ninja would be impossible with a drive light and a dog that goes crazy barking when someone knocks the door ( guarding his house )Then we were told it would be delivered in 10-15 mins....Never showed up until 19:30 at which point the pizza was soggy cold and unfit to eat, the driver was very rude, a male this time - proper attitude on him, its not my fault its cold and its probably the pizza from 2 hours ago... Lovely comments, nice chap Told him to take his pizza and get outta here sharpish and called a manager who's said she'd look into it.... Pigs will fly they do.Will never order from them again. Highly unreccommended. If I could minus star then I would give a - 3*

Granted this was the first time having a Papa Johns from Cwmbran and I compared it to a Papa Johns in Devon. And it was on Boxing Day as they opened and the first one in the shop. The pizza itself was a good pizza, that is if I'd ordered just cheese and tomato topping. As it was meant to have toppings on the two pizzas this is where the disappointment came in, there was hardly any topping on either of them. Yes i'm one of those sad, weird people who likes sweetcorn and pineapple but I'm not sad enough to deliberately count the topping on each slice, yet it was that sparse that I can tell you that there was two pieces of pineapple per piece and 7 sweetcorn on average!! The other pizza had a bit more topping on that, however the other half isn't dull and made sure that it was a topping I hate so there was no pity sharing there. This isn't to say I won't use them again, maybe in a year or two but I'll make sure I have a reserve topping in my house.

Are you joking me? Why is my pizza taking 2 hours to be delivered?

Recently the quality has taken a nose dive. Slow delivery (ranging anywhere from 40-2 hours) and comes cold almost always. Had a large pizza with garlic knots on several occasions and the past two times it's come covered in grease and completely inedible, as well as being lukewarm at best. Absolute disgrace.

Waiting 2 bloody hours for a pizza!!!! What a joke!!!

First time we have ever eaten food from here but our grandson wanted to have it. Ordered a large pizza and a dessert. They were delivered very quickly. My grandson enjoyed everything. My wife and thought the pizza was ok but not the best we have ever eaten but the dessert was tasty.

After being a massive dominos fan for years it was very hard to change after moving to Cwmbran and having a few awful experiences from dominos next door. My husband and I put our familys orders in and off we popped to Morrison's. 20mins later i went back in to collect. I noticed the lad by himself maning the online orders, making pizza, watching the ovens, but still found time to acknowledge me whilst ensuring his hygiene was on point. Being a fussy person and and a assistant manager of a restaurant i look for these things i cant help myself . On returning to the car i said to my husband if this food tastes awesome im writing a review. So as im giving feed back yes we loved our food well done to the lad working keep up the good work im sure your manager appricates your fantastic service!

Ordered pizza delivery tonight for 4 of us and forgot to mention one was vegan. When I rang to mention this the pizzas were already out for delivery. I said don't worry as my fault but the manager said he didn't want anyone not to be able to eat their pizza so arranged for another vegan pizza to be sent out. He didn't have to do this as totally my fault but very impressed with this excellent customer service and will recommend to others. The pizzas were delicious. Thank you Pappa John's Cwmbran!

Had Hawaiian, not enough pineapple to have a piece on each slice, so someone had to have a cheese and tomatoes slice with 1 piece of boiling bacon, not ham. Had garden party, asked for extra mushrooms. Again not enough mushrooms for each slice, even with paying for extra. Asked for buffalo dip, had 5 garlic dips. Also was half an hour late. I phoned to complain and they brought another Hawaiian but was exactly the same. We will not ever order again from pappa John's, extremely disappointed

I tend to sporadically order from Papa Johns and the quality seems to be hit or miss. We went for a half and half deep dish pizza for sat afternoon lunch. Not sure what went in the base but it was completely inedible. The delivery service I have always found to be prompt from them though, just sometimes the Pizza can be either great or disgusting. Some of the others persevered due to being hungry, but mine went in the bin after a single bite.I will probably not have a Papa Johns for some time now. It's a real shame as I couldn't stomach the uncooked dough that dominos serve up.I guess I will be eating more healthily for a while.Richard.

So my kids fell asleep hungry and were upset to have missed out on their Saturday night takeaway treat.. for this awful experience i was given a credit on my account ... for this gesture I decided to main a loyal customer but just rang up to place an order using the credit on my account I was then left on hold for 15 minutes and was told I couldn't use the credit with the as it was a collection deal?! For the sake of a couple of pounds you would rather lose loyal customers and have bad feedback and bad reviews??? It's like you're going out of your way to upset your customers. Customer service is an absolute joke you would think a big company like this would do everything they can to keep the customers happy and to keep their loyal customers and good reviews.. Back to dominoes for me! Another customer you've just lost and another bad review gained... hope it was worth a couple of quid which actually cost you nothing ... well done to Ellya, manager at Papa Johns Cwmbran for BAD experience all round! If you don't want to wait hours for your cold pizza I suggest you shop next door at dominoes!!

My grandchildren love to visit as a treat and I really love their coffee so we are all happy .Quite like the pay and sit and be served idea.

We treat ourselves once a month to a Papa Johns Pizza and we are never disappointed. Good value and great tasting Pizza.

Used to order from a well known country wide pizza company. Had flyer through door from Papa Johns. Have placed 3 orders for delivery since. Cant fault the quality/taste/price. Wont return to previous company, Papa Johns always now if we order pizza.

Well I have a few words to describe the food "TASTLESS" "COLD" "OVERPRICED"

Stopped in last night to order pizza and somehow managed to forget my purse on the waiting seats, didn't realise until this morning. After searching for 2hrs in blind panic my boyfriend said to ring PJ'S. A young girl answered amd made my life by saying they had the purse there. Such lovely trustworthy staff and the pizzas are amazing too! Respect Pappa John's ❤

My daughter and I decided to have pizza to accompany our girly night in watching movies. We had an XXL pizza, wedges and chicken for £20 which although seems on the expensive side, there was so much leftover that we had the rest the following day! Definitely would consider again for our next girly night in!

After waiting over an hour for delivery, I rang the store to see what the hold up was. I was told by a very rude member of staff that it would be at least another 30 minutes before I'd receive my order as it hadn't even been prepared yet! When I asked to cancel the order I was first told it could not be cancelled, then told only a manager could cancel it, just to find out that the person I was talking to on the phone was in fact the manager who was just trying to mess me around! They made it impossible to get a refund without email back and forth to head office who were little help. Ad dominos is right next door, I'd avoid this place and go there!!

I had a Pizza on opening night of the store in Cwmbran and had a little bit of a mix up with the order but could understand as it was opening night and the orders were coming in at a huge rate.

had two large pizza wife had all meats i had the phal pizza wifes pepperoni was burnt both crusts were soggy so they will not be giving this so called pizza eatery any more orders

The XXL Pizza is pretty much a Large in America, very great and tasty, despite being a bit pricy compared to America. However, they have great deals all the time, being it 33% off, 25% off or Buy One, Get One, they're all great. The Cheese Bread is wonderful as always, and I'm glad they have Stuffed Crust and Jalapeño Bites, which is new to me. They're wings are not the best, but why go to a pizzeria for wings?

We have had Papa John's on 3 occasions now and every time it's been very nice. 2 Xlarge pizza's, 2 portions chicken poppers, dips, coke, garlic bread, about £22. Very well worth the money. Recommend to anyone.

This is new to the area and I had a try of the chicken wings and they were lovely. The service was quick and the pizza was nice. As with all deliveries it's not a cheap op ion but for a treat I highly recommend the wings!
