This is the second time our order has been marked delivered too early, last time it didn't appear at all and this time took 20 minutes before it actually arrived, causing confusion. Tried to call the restaurant and the connection timed out 8 times with no response so we had no clue whether our order was lost. It is a shame because the food is quite nice.

Bad experience, they don’t have card payment machines..they should know customers don’t carry cash always.. they just wants us to order online or sending us ATM to Tesco Ruins our mood idiots

This was our 1st order from Papa John's and must say the pizza was OK. Nothing more but OK. Don't think we'll order again. The reason is ... in some places the pizza was very dry and without any toppings.

It's the go to option when we want pizzas. We live close by so we always collect. Double peperonni and Works are our favourites. Very friendly staff.

Ordered a large chicken fajita and was satisfying.

Dunno what's happened to this Papa Johns, used to be really great, now it's terrible, everythings dry and burnt. Ordered twice, this third time I tried to order from a different papa johns but no, it came from addiscombe road again, and was again terrible. Barely edible. £2 frozen pizzas are actually better.

Waited 1 and half hour for a pizza that came freezing cold because apparently the driver first went on a tour of London before remembering to deliver my food. Wouldn't recommend Papa John's addiscombe ,The services are extremely terrible compared to my regular Dominos.

Ordered a pizza which stated 35-55 min delivery time. After 90 mins of no pizza and no update on the app we tried calling and got no answer. Tried on multiple occasions but they do not answer. The app finally updated to pizza on its way but we waited over an hour for it to arrive Luke warm. Overall we waited over 3 hours and were given a poor excuse as to why it was so late. Will never order from here again and wish we had read the reviews beforehand.

Ordered 2 pizzas online and it took 3 hours to be delivered, you cant call the shop because nobody answers and then the food turned up cold, complained to papa johns and they took over a week to get back to me. This shop needs closing down, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

When it’s done properly, it’s delicious. But unfortunately, it’s rarely the case. Ordered a pizza literally 15 min before their closing time. As always, as in all other comments, it says it’s delivered and then it comes much later. Regardless, it being the last order of the night, it was delicious. But the 3 stars is a generous average between the numerous 1s and 2s that I’ve had before, but this was a nice 5.

Do not order from Papa Johns. I ordered just one pizza at 19:10. It's now 21:20 and still no pizza. No one's answering the phone and the app said it was delivered 20 minutes ago. What a joke of a company.

One of our sides was literally an empty box. Can't get through to them on the phone and no other way to contact them. Considering all the other bad reviews this clearly is not the one.

Every time we order it takes 2 hours to get to you and if your ordering using the app, the app marks it as delivered every time you order when it’s nowhere near. After waiting 2 hours my partner took 7 mins to get there to find they weren’t busy at all and had no answers to where our food was and scrambled around for the receipt. It finally came freezing cold so partner took it back to get a new order

Terrible service. App says it been delivered about 45mins before it actually was. No answer from the shop when trying to call. Cold food. I will never use them again. This isn’t the first time it’s been late. Over 1 hour delivery time.

I didn't get what I ordered. I paid extra for a cheese bottom pizza, and got a thin crust so over cooked that it is a texture between that of a cracker and a biscuit without the bottom cheese. Moreover, half the crust edge was missing (I assume it cracked off when lifting it into the box). I wouldnt order from Papa Johns again after this experience.

Ordered a pizza without ham and it came with it. I phoned them and a lady called Bagya answered. She was condescending throughout the whole conversation and wasn’t helpful at all.They said they will give me an email address to show proof that the pizza had ham it in but then didn’t follow through. I must say her customer service skill was the worst. I wouldn’t order from them or recommend anyone from ordering there.

If I could put 0 stars then I would. Ordered 5 large pizzas at 11am to be delivered at 12.30 on their app, app said it’s been delivered, but no pizza… Called the store at 12.30 and they said that the store opened late so the pizzas will be another 40 mins… i asked why did the app say it was delivered, they said it is an automated message and they have no way of controlling it. I asked why it would take 40 mins and they said they have other orders to complete first, even though I pre ordered at 11am Absolutely shocking service

What a farce of a company. Your Addiscombe Road branch is appalling. The staff are clueless, unprofessional, and unaware of the basics of customer service. Ordered at 11.08am - for delivery at 11.45am, the earliest slot. At midday - nothing had arrived, and the online status said 'preparing' (as it had for almost an hour). We tried to call the restaurant 16 times and no answer. We called Head Office and spoke to Natalie in Customer Services. She also couldn't get through to the restaurant. At 12.38 I finally got through, only to be told the order would be with us in 20 mins. At 1pm, still no food (almost 2 hours after the original order) We again got through to the branch after 3-4 attempts only to be told they weren't making our order as they didn't have any ingredients?? We asked for our order to be cancelled and they did. We called back Head Office and spoke to Natalie again, who apologised and advised she couldn't get through to the restaurant! She then told us our order had been cancelled - but the store had not processed a refund request!! Thankfully, she then actioned. This was a large order, for 14 staff, all of which have been left annoyed and lunch-less! No apology, not compensated in any way! Consider it lesson learnt - we're off to Pizza Hut!

Discusting place . Ordered my food for collection. Chicken wings were Freezing cold. Hardly any cheese or pineapple on pizza. Told the chicken wings back. Staff put his finger in the chicken wings. And said take a seat ill warm them up. Said I wanted a refund he said no . Complaints go to head office. Never going to this place again . Rude staff . Very hard to understand them. Probably not been in the country long. 0/10

Went down here for a bit of scran and expected an absolute pigsty as places in my area look like jimmy savilles just taken a dump on the table, anyways ordered the food and when I tell you that pizza gave me more tingles than linda ever could, it was succulent tender and juicy, the atmosphere was like bringing juice worlds body to one of his concerts. It was well dead. Case closed.

They flagged as delivered a pizza that wasn't here. Call them and said "don't worry, it will be there in a couple of minutes". 10 minutes after they didn't pick the phone. The order arrived 35 minutes after. Cold and gummy.

Delivery driver always runs late without fail. He confirms on the app that he has made the delivery but arrives 30min later. Don’t bother calling the store as staff there just lie about his whereabouts. Delivery time is 1 hours 20min on average.

Do not order from this place. Absolute disgraceful service. They lied on the app to show it's been delivered. Been waiting an hour fit the did to arrive. I will be making a formal complaint

Avoid!! Delivery takes hours and food doesn’t come. Try ring them and they don’t answer and better yet once you finally get through they tell you they tried delivering and you weren’t home! Absolute scammers - papa johns needs to close this branch down.

I’ve been waiting 3 hours for my food to be delivered and they kept ignoring my calls. Probably the worst takeaway I’ve come across. If 0 stars was an option, they’d get it. I don’t know how they are in business because they are scamming people.

One hour wait for delivery and the food was lukewarm and a bit dried out. I rang to ask where the delivery was and they answered the phone quickly, told me it would be there any minute. When I tried calling back after the food arrived to complain, couldn't get an answer and gave up trying. Will not be using them again.

Worst place to get a pizza. ordered online showed delivered at 18:12 waited 20 minutes went there in person where i was i was handled by the worst so called Manager... who was a total waste of time and really rude... requested for his name refused completely and had an really disgusting attitude. If this are the kind of people that they hire is better to keep away from this shop completely would never order from this shop ever again and will advise you to do the same because all together we can make a really big impact on those so call shop's.

I have been waiting for over an hour for my delivery and it still hasn't arrived. Called the shop a few times and not one person answered. On the tracker it says they are "checking and cutting" been that way for the past 20 mins. I don't know what sort of management this branch has but clearly they hate their life. telephoned Papa Johns in lower addiscombe road today to order two pizzas. They told me that I had to order online. Ordered the two pizzas and waited 45 minutes to get confirmation of the pick up. No confirmation came so went to the restaurant to be told that their online order machine has broken down and I can't get my pizzas and my money will not be refunded until tomorrow, therefore I am unable to get pizza from anywhere else as they have my money. This is unacceptable and there was no manager to speak to as he is not in until tomorrow. I would never order from this pizza joint again and I would suggest you do the same, a load if rubbish.

Ordered some pizzas, waited for over an hour before calling up and checking on progress - was told they would be with us within 5 minutes, only to wait for another half an hour. And to add insult to injury - woke up the next morning with food poisoning, preumably because they left the chicken pizza sitting out for too long and had to hastily reheat it. Avoid at all costs.

Shocking. Two hours for delivery. Called after 1 hour and was told it will be leaving the shop in 5 minutes. 45 minutes later I called again and was told it's on the way. I said I no longer wanted the order and requested a refund. Which I was told they couldn't give me. Oh and after specifically requesting they remove the mushrooms from the pizza, it turned up covered in them. Wish I checked the reviews before ordering. Never again.

I don't usually give 1 star reviews to any food place where the food is great but I am shocked that it has taken an hr to get my food delivered. I called after the app stated it was delivered and the person on the phone said the pizza is still in the shop and it will take 5 minutes. This has happened multiple time. Someone really should look into why this is happening.

Tracking app says delivered so called up to find out what's going on - no answer. 3 attempts later finally get through to be told the pizza was still there 🤷‍♂️ When the pizza did arrive it was missing the extra dips we ordered. Called again to sort out but unable to send any! The pizza itself wasn't bad in fairness, just not quite the stress-free experience you want when ordering takeaway. Also why on 🌎 do they provide that raw garlic dip every time without an opt out option..

The website shoes enjoy your pizza message and it is Ramadan but now very hungry with nothing to eat.

I don't even know why I bothered. Ordered 2 pizzas, came in a hour which wasn't too bad. But upon arrival, 1 pizza had a seal that was broken. It is a shame that you can’t give a zero. Honestly the worst pizza I have ever had. That might be because it was stone cold. Once it left the store it took 30 minutes to deliver even though it’s only 5 minutes away. The special garlic sauce is just a tub of butter. I think the store expects complaints, so they don’t bother answering the phone.

Great service and great vegan pizzas to choose. Yesterday we had ordered 2 pizzas one vegan cheese only and another the vegan works. When delivery boy came with pizzas he had only one with him. He explained that order was messed up and he will be back with the other soon. After 5 minutes another guy came with 1 extra pizza and apologies. That's what I call a great service. 5 🌟 service. Pizza is good most of the time however can never get through on the phone to ask when it will finally be delivered... Particularly annoying when the tracking website says you are enjoying it, when it's nowhere to be seen..

Great pizza with and original taste to it. I've never had Papa John's before. I loved it. Very delicious Marmite-Cheese sides and Potato Tots! I've been searching for them under the name Potato Crunchies for years. So happy to have found them.

Unfortunately we had the wrong pizza delivered however, when I called t-the store was helpful and have sent another pizza. I will be writing again if this doesn't arrive (like the other reviews!) But so far the service has been corrected with a polite server

I am absolutely disgusted with one of the orders I have received today. I had ordered BBQ wings, a portion of 6, and received something terrible. Boiled chicken wings with bbq sauce on top. What is that?? Do you think we are stupid, I think we all know we have to marinate the chicken wings with the bbq sauce and then put it into the oven. Never will I order from Papa Johns in Croydon. Absolutely disappointed!!!

Absolutely rank so much sauce I even called them to ask them to put less sauce on and they seem to have put twice as much on instead of taking it off the pizza is so wet that the the pizza based taste like the cardboard box the worst Pizza in Croydon and I really like Papa John's pizza

I ordered on a Sunday night at 7.30 and after an hour the food hadn’t arrived. After eventually speaking to them (like others have said it took over 15 times for them to answer) I was told the driver is on his way. 20 minutes later (I live 5-10 minutes from them) he arrived with bits missing. I was told he would come back but never did. Shocking service and will never use again

I ordered £40.77 worth of pizza at 8.20pm, I was advised it would be delivered at between 9.25 and 9.45pm. It is now 10.35pm, I have tried both Just Eat and Papa John's, I am unable to get through. Papa John's phone rings till it gets cut off, then it goes to engaged. i HAVE CALLED 15 TIME!!!!!I am now GOING TO PAPA JOHN'S to ensure I either get food or A full refund!!!!!!!¬!¬

Tracker showed our order has been delivered, calling the store I am told the driver is just about leaving for delivery and will be with us in 15 mins.. 25 mins on and nothing here, so either the tracker is not working or someone is just updating and manipulating the system which Papa Jones has created for goodwill of its customers .. either way poor service and I don’t think we will order again particularly from this branch..

We ordered pizza on the 19.01.2021, order placed at 6:44pm, received at 8:20pm !!! We were checking on the website to see where was our pizzas and it was continuously saying that pizza was delivered already despite the fact that we were still waiting them... We tried to call the restaurant to get details about it, we called 13 times and no ones answered never ! Pizzas were ok , just warm enough to be eaten ! I am definitely not advising to order to this branch which is not up to Papa john's standards. Won't order again from them, customer service not existing !!
