Worst pizza I’ve had ever!!! Hardly no toppings or cheese, just blunt dough with tomato sauce! Huge disappointment! Will never buy again!

Food was waiting to be sent out the shop for 20 minutes before it left, took another 30 to arrive when the shop is only about 15 minutes away, I think it took this time because the delivery driver ate some of the food (one box came without a seal on so was quite clear), food also almost cold, staff were very rude on the phone both times I called up, we're told a new box of chicken poppers could be sent out in 30 minutes to replace the one that had clearly had some taken out of, ended up taking almost an hour to receive the replacement box. Not impressed to say the least, will definitely be using domino's for all future pizza deliveries, even an aldis own pizza would've been more satisfying.

I will not be using papa johns It was late, just warm When I complained I was told they could cook another pizza & collect the cold one OR phone just eat for refund.

We ordered for delivery 40 mins later checked tracker they had it down as collection, when we picked it up the server pretty much threw the food at me, food was ICE COLD & rock hard when we got it home and very dry, they did not give us our full order and missed drinks. paid £50, will never go here again. stay away! My 6 year old eveded uo not eating dinner that night as by time this happened and was sorted it was 9pm at night.

Late second time in a row. Hour late! Ruined our birthday party for our 4 year old who was very excited but ended up in bed before the pizza arrived. Won’t be ordering again. Should’ve looked at Reviews before ordering as they’re terrible. Luke warm pizza, cold chicken, cold potato tots (had to microwave) and gave us the wrong drink. Was told ‘you’re not our only customer tonight’ when I phoned up to ask where our order was. Perfectly clear of that there mate!! maybe expand or more drivers perhaps!

I last ordered from this restaurant in December, having given them a good long break after a bad experience. The Chilli Freak pizza I ordered back then was delicious however, this time around it was horrible.Firstly it took over an hour to arrive (it was 2pm so hardly a busy time Idve thought) and was barely warm on arrival. The pizza left a lot to be desired. Barely any topping, lots of dough and very very dry! Considering it was meant to be a chilli based pizza, full of jalapeños, red chillies etc. it was mild as a regular margarita! The garlic pizza sticks were so greasy I ended up throwing them in the bin. The only saving grace was the potato tots which, once microwaved, were delicious.About ten minutes after delivery I received a voucher apologising for the wait, for £5 off my next pizza. Unfortunately, this isn’t nearly enough to tempt me back. I will be giving them a very wide berth for a very long while!

We ordered a pizza from Papa Johns at Duke Street, Ipswich, IP3 0BF. The pizza was absolutely disgusting, the base was so hard you couldn't cut it with a knife & fork. Like eating cardboard. There was virtually no sauce or cheese on the pizza and somehow the toppings were also tasteless. We live one street away (less than 5 minute walk) and the pizza took an hour and was luke warm. If I wasn't recovering from COVID I would have walked over there and give it back. My family use to own Papa Johns shop in Norwich and they wouldn't dream of sending such rubbish out to their customers as they had pride in what they did. This shop clearly shows they do not care because if they did they would make sure their product is what it is meant to be. I will not be recommending Papa Johns to anyone, instead I will be putting this complaint on trip advisor and FB, so no-one else gets ripped off. I will be avoiding Papa Johns from now on. Absolute disgrace.

Pizza arrived 2 1/2 hours after ordering. No one answered telephone during this long wait. Driver offended that I no longer wanted it (10.30pm). And it took 4 weeks to get my money back via customer service at head office.

Usually order from a competitor, but decided to give Papa's a go. Chicken bites were very good. Pizza was hot, tasty, with good toppings, if a little thick and doughy - but the I did order stuffed crust!. Service was very poor. If you cannot make the food and delivery it at the time you tell the customer, then give the customer a later time. Being told a time, means you expect the food to be there near that time. Anyway, its late, so I use the text service on this website and nothing happens, no update from the restaurant. So I call and no one answers. Then when it does arrive, the delivery guy was rude about me mentioning it to him. All in all, I will be returning the competitor.

Got a Pizza here one night whilst staying in the area.The Pizza was well cook, tasted great and was well priced.Considering how busy they were the 20 minute wait was fine. Obviously couldn't wait inside due to Covid stuff so I went for a walk.

When I ordered the food they said it will be arriving at 19.00. At 7.30 pm I called them where is my food and the polite voice said it's on the way and will be available around 5-10 minute At 8 pm food arrived and it's cold.

So the first pizza arrived and it was late and cold, phones the shop and told them the pizza was cold. They resolved this by sending a second cold pizza. Both pizzas were absolutely awful. Would not recommend this place to anyone wanting a decent pizza.

Great tasting but cold on arrival which was a shame.

Preordered delivery to hospital so I could take my break at that time. Requested at 2315 - went outside at 2313 to find driver had already left. Called me once and didn’t pick up when I called back. Apparently restaurant closes at 2300 & I was their last order so they weren’t willing to wait until actual delivery time. Put down as delivered on just eat so they won’t offer refund. Next time I’ll just throw £20 down the drain and save myself the hassle of looking forward to a warm meal on a 14 hour night shift.

Ordered a pizza and was told to wait outside 10-15min understandably due to Covid.. whilst waiting my partner caught the man with brown greasy curly hair wipe his nose with the back of his and carry on making someone’s pizza... I asked is that my pizza? They replied yes why? I explained and so he washed his hands with the hump, and started my pizza again (no gloves no mask may I add) Pizza went in oven from the back and the front of house staff open the oven from front both bent down laughing when they stood up and I could see my pizza on the counter.. I said I’m not silly I saw you laughing and bent down so I couldn’t see exactly what the did, but found it hilarious, clearly did something to my pizza! The guy with the hat on said “are we not aloud to have a private joke” and “you have an attitude problem!” For asking for a refund! They ganged up on me and continued to argue whilst one guy started to process a refund! I have put in a complaint To head office .. as for papa johns it should be run by people who want to deliver a good service not argue with customers because they got caught out! When I said to the guy arguing with me “would you eat a pizza when you’ve just witnessed someone wipe their hand over their snotty nose” he replied laughing “yes look at the size of me I love pizza I’ll eat anything” not funny.. or clever just a childish response! good luck mate

Took an hour for delivery, pizza was fine but I ordered the cookie and they substituted it for the brownie as they'd run out but didn't even call me to notify me, I had to call them and ask why I didn't get what I ordered, so now I'm left with something I don't want

Waited about half an hour after the time it said I would get my food, the person who answered was polite & apologised for the delay. When the food arrived it was still warm & tasted great! Took quite a while to receive my food but it was worth the wait, friendly staff as well.

Ok so the delivery was late - over 30 mins due to this the food was barely warm. The topping on the XXL Hawaiian was barely there - mostly dough unfortunately. The XXL double pepperoni would have been lovely if served hot. Overall didn’t feel the love at all ☹️ sorry Papa John could do better.👎

Not had Papa Johns for ages so thought it would be a nice change. Unfortunately as several other reviewers have pointed out, there was virtually no sauce or cheese on the pizza and somehow the toppings were also tasteless. Like eating cardboard. Their pizzas used to be decent a while back - but I'd avoid from now on. Also took an age to arrive so were pretty cold to add to the list of reasons not to use them again.

Been waiting an hour and 25 minutes for pizza!They did call when we ordered and said it would be an hour. Called after an hour and 10 and was told it was on its way - still nothing.It’s good pizza when it arrives but right now I have three hungry under tens. Ordered at 5:20pm - 6:50pm and no pizza!Furious!

This is the best takeaway pizza in Suffolk. Fresh ingredients and good crust. Good choice of toppings, I recommend sausage and pepperoni. Excellent service too, always delivered hot and fast. Good choice of sides and drinks, but these are a little expensive.

Collected a pizza, which had no sauce or cheese on it- tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and was all dry. Called to complain and received an earful from a very rude member of staff who was arguing with me and would not let me talk to a manager. Would. NOT recommend you buy your pizza from there as was awful!!

Kids wanted a pizza for dinner so I've placed an order for two large pizzas online19:51 received the confirmation via email.21:02 called them and asked, where is the order,they told me the driver is around the corner.21:22 another call because driver still didn't arrive.21:25 pizza delivered, nice guy apologised for delay. When opened the boxes I realised the pizza were cold so I rang the store and made a complaint, I asked them to call for driver to come and collect those two pizzas and reprocess the order very quickly because my kids hungry waiting for their favourite pizza. 21:32 guy arrived collected the cold pizzas,and advised that he spoken with a manager and not him but someone else will deliver new fresh pizzas in about 15-20 min. 22:10 I rang the store asking when they will finally deliver our dinner and I was told the order will not be re-processed and they will issue refund which should be back to me in 7 working day!I can't describe how I felt, we all waited so long and those people just treat the customers like xxxxxx! I will never again back to you, it was my second time when you let me down but this time forever. Ruined the whole family evening!

Why do you put barely any sauce or cheese on your pizzas? Made my jaw hurt chewing it it was so dry.. even oven pizza is nicer.. also they managed to get both our sides wrong

Hi to whom it may concern ! Just got your pizzas for the first time in months as it’s so difficult to order now ! (NO cash or delivery option ) And to say we are disappointed is an understatement.. the quality ! lack of toppings and flavourlessness of the pizzas is shocking compared to what it use to be ... One of the pizza had a section with no topping on it at all We are extremely disappointed ☹️

Papa Johns (Ipswich) has the potential to be brilliant as the pizzas can be very tasty and certainly more flavoursome than the alternatives. However, most recently and for the third (and last) time, the service was appalling. Food arrived about 10-15 mins after the estimated time. This wasn't so much of a problem but it had obviously been on the road for a while as it was cold. One of the pizzas also looked like it had been in a fight with the box (see photo).I immediately rang up and (politely) explained the problem. I was told that they were 'really busy' (this was a Friday evening so I can't imagine they should have been surprised by this). They did offer to resend the order but couldn't guarantee a time frame. Having already waited over an hour to be greeted with cold food I didn't want the same happening so I just asked if we were able to get a refund.I then witnessed the conversation between the staff member and manager (their phone clearly doesn't have a 'secrecy' button!). Eventually I spoke to the, rather rude, manager who explained they couldn't do a refund because they were a franchise(?!?). I was reasonably persistent (never rude) but got told I'd have to contact head office.I have now contacted head office twice without as much as a response (or even acknowledgement). This will be the last time we use Papa Johns which is a shame as, on occasion, the pizza has been really nice. Three disappointing orders and an unwillingness/inability to deal with customer problems is too much for me though.

Ordered a delivery. Pizza arrived with the topping slipped off into 1 neat little pile in the corner. Oil from the pepperoni leaked into the same corner, making the box, and the base soggy in that corner. Ordered again a second time, I ordered all the meats pizza. Tasted like a wet dog. I threw it away.

Pizzas are better priced and taste better then your standard dominoes. Well worth a taste :) garlic dip is gross though!

At best, the food is good, but not value for money. If there is every a problem, then you're screwed, basically.

Pizza was nice, and they have the best garlic bread! Chicken was nice but was only lukewarm. Liked it, and quick delivery.

Used the website to order online. It is pretty versatile and they also had a bogo deal. The pizzas were delivered warm and correct as ordered. Pretty good pizza and no complaints from 3 teenagers.

Papa johns offer some meal deals that are value for money for a family. However the quality of pizza is inconsistent. The tomato sauce lacks any flavour, the cheese lacks any flavour, the chicken lacks any flavour. Garlic sticks are flavourless, overall left feeling like cardboard would have had more flavour and definitely cheaper, and you have stopped doing the deli pepperami, why? It was flavoursome and spicy, bring it back please.

The fast service and food was great. However, when ordering delivered food, I wish for it to be delivered to my front door. I was called by the delivery driver who wanted me *heavily pregnant * to come down four floors of flats to collect my food from him! This was not ideal and of course defeats the point in paying for delivery.

I don't know how someone forgets to put tomato sauce on a pizza, but apparently this is what happens here. I ordered a half and half pizza and only one half had sauce on at all. the other half was cheese and bread.

Disgusting I said it was delivered over an hour late because there's no option to say it was NEVER delivered this has happened twice now I will NEVER order from here again and I will NEVER recommended you

Unbeknownst to myself and my partner (we've never really dealt with Papa John's before) the deals you get from them directly are completely unapparent on just eat. you are truly being conned out of money. thinking hey honest mistake maybe we can do the deal that is advertised in store we were told we weren't able to as it was a just eat order. honestly do not buy through this app buy through them directly so you won't end up paying £20 for one pizza.

Dijo que sería un mínimo de 25 libras, que nos pensando en hacer de todos modos, así que no es un problema. Ella amablemente nos dio un 33%, aunque normalmente sólo puedes conseguir que cuando un pedido en línea. Imogen, y su tipo director fueron muy serviciales y muy amables. Prefiero Papa John's, de todos modos, pero su servicio de atención al cliente les pone por delante saltos y brincos. Gracias de nuevo! :)

Best pizza ever just but pricey

Pedimos una pizza mitad y mitad con un lado sin queso, la pizza llegó cubierto de queso. La mujer en el teléfono era grosero y dijeron que no podían hacer nada, ya que no vendrá en su sistema, ya que no hay queso. Finalmente acordaron cambiar las pizzas más, pero cuando el conductor entrega llegamos hizo un punto de conseguir ingresos y diciendo que no la orden sin queso. Totalmente poco profesional y grosero a los clientes que con frecuencia la orden. No pedir de nuevo.

La comida es bastante coherente con cualquier cadena de Papa John's, para ser sincero, de buena calidad, a menudo algunas ofertas baratas si recogerá. Curiosamente, una mujer apareció de la nada cuando nos visitó y comenzó a gritar en uno de los miembros masculinos personal y luego fuimos detrás del mostrador y discutieron algunos más, mostrando él su teléfono! Esto fue bastante desagradable, teniendo en cuenta que había familias esperando en a la vez. La mujer a la izquierda unos 5 minutos más tarde y nos sirvió el hombre que hizo ninguna disculpa. Muy extraño! No he vuelto desde entonces.

One pizza was apparently nice. My pizza on the other hand, I asked for sausage bacon chicken and mushrooms. But instead of chicken I got chilli powder, which I can't eat due to illness. So I was very unhappy as the other pizza had things on I can't eat. Had already waited over an hour for it to come.

Pizza was a bit too spicy for a 1 spicy alert, and i ordered the food for 7.30, and not for 6.30, when my daughter got home everything was cold :-(

After waiting an extra 20 mins over the one hour alloted Delivery I rang to see where my order was... They had missed it. So wait atleast another half hour for them to make an deliver pizza. Two hours for one pizza made a few miles away! I was told I would receive 5£ off next order but have no record or anything given to me by delivery driver. Very disappointing.
