Kylie at the pancake House when we went at 12.30pm on Sunday was the opitamy of good customer service, she couldn't do enough for us and was genuinely friendly and courteous, an absolute credit to Centre Parcs. We booked at 10.45am on Sunday morning and arrived to carnage ...a massive queue outside the door of other people who had also booked. It took us 30 minutes to get a table and another 20 for someone to order our drinks. The place is clearly a little goldmine yet they are being skimpy with staff ! And why they are booking so many people in when they don't have the staff to cater for them is beyond me. The food wasn't worth waiting for. Small portions and went cold really quickly as the plates were freezing. It is also very overpriced for what you get. We ate in all the restaurants at Centre Parcs during our stay - all the others were great but we would never return here.

The Pancake House was both delicious and welcoming at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs. We came with two small children and hadn't book but were able to find a table during a busy morning. We were extremely welcomed by Aidan! He is such a kind and caring person who made our 3 year old sons visit very special. He remembered him throughout our stay and we made multiple visits here as were we so happy to come back to such a lovely friendly place. Huge thank you!!!!

Nice service. Terrible food. I ordered the pancakes with syrup and bacon. I got flakey, yet inexplicably doughy anaemic pancakes with a syrup that looked like hangover wee and a few tiny bits of bacon. I feel posthumously sorry for the pig that was wasted on that. No one finished their food. Avoid at all costs - which brings me to "HOW MUCH???" Inside it's more like a creche than a restaurant. Bright white and no atmosphere other than the screams of all the children, presumably protesting at the poor food they're being served.

Really sweet staff, but the food... My pancake was *extremely* dry, on top of being served lukewarm. When I asked for butter, I was given a clump of ice cold butter. Upon putting the butter on my pancake, it got colder instead of the butter melting. Same issue with my hot chocolate; it arrived lukewarm (but tasted rather nice).

We went to The Pancake House twice during our 4 night stay. Both times the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I tried the vegetarian breakfast on French toast and the lotus biscoff French toast, both of which I would have again. My partner had the all day brunch and Italian omelettes. We did find it a bit strange that you couldn’t just order pancakes/waffles with mix and match toppings, especially on the children’s menu as our daughter just wanted Nutella on pancakes. We hadn’t been to Centre Parcs before so can’t compare it to the old menu. The reason for only giving it 4 stars is that the portions are small, to the point where you are barely full afterwards, so it is expensive for what it is. However, we couldn’t fault the service.

Nice location on the lake with lovely views of everyone on their boats, but the food was awful here! We had such high hopes for this place and had promised our kids a visit as a treat after kayaking. Our lovely waitress was really welcoming but after we had eaten she asked was everything alright. We were honest and expressed our disappointment. She was really apologetic and took money off our bill for the poor quality of the pancakes with bacon (bacon was overcooked, dry and disintegrated when cut with a knife) and the fruit smoothie (tasted watery and seemed to have hardly any fruit in it). Maybe we were just unlucky but if this is the quality of the food on site, probably best give the restaurants a miss and cook for yourself when staying here. Such a pity!

So disappointing! We have been visiting Center Parcs at Sherwood for 15 years and a visit to the pancake house has always been a highlight. Previously you would receive a huge stack of pancakes layered with filling. Sadly this time we received three sad pancakes, a few tiny pieces of bacon and very small thimble of maple syrup. This was all hoovered up in two seconds by my hungry family. The service was also extremely slow with long waits. Have visited the centre parcs pancake house for the last 4 years. It was a must ! This year however we, a family of 7 were extremely disappointed. Booked a table to 4:30, arrived and the place had 1 other family in, no one else. Place was clean and tidy. Drink order took a very long time to arrive. Then the food arrived which was different in size and quality from previous years. A lot smaller, tiny ‘scotch’ pancake size with a few strips of bacon, pancakes had no taste. Definitely not American style pancakes as advertised. Bacon was nice. One guest had a omelette which was padded out with jalapeños difficult to find the other contents. All of us were disappointed with the quality and the portion size especially at the inflated price. Left understanding why the place was empty Won’t visit again.

First, the staff were friendly and hard working although we did have to wait some considerable time for our order. Second, those who ordered the sweet pancakes had very enjoyable meals however, the two savoury pancakes were very disappointing indeed. Both lacked the any decent amount of the stated meats and in reality it was hard to see any at all. Third, the tea (supposedly an infusion of leaves in boiling water) was brought as a tea bag in a covering bag and a pot of hot water, ready for the customer to begin the infusion process. So, another disappointment. They should learn how to do it properly from other establishments on the site!

Do NOT waste your money! Positive: service was great and was happy to pay the optional service charge. Negative; It was extortionate. The prices do not reflect the quality of food on offer. The pancakes were crispy and cold- my child refused to eat it. A tiny pot of cream was £1.50 and the basic pancake was around £6.95. The nachos lacked cheese- next to none. The New Mexico omelette was so dry I had to ask for ketchup. We left feeling underwhelmed and thinking it was such a waste of money :( Don’t bother. There are much much much better places to eat on site

Food was amazing bit pricey but definitly recommend while you're here, massive thanks to the staff who moved our table and got us a fresh lot of food after a group of wasps came through the window and attacked our food

Will never dine here again. Table not ready for when we arrived, the atmosphere was awful so loud couldn't hear people across our table. The food took an hour to come out from order. So much so that we and 3 rounds of drinks asked of us before. We had a fairly large part of 6 adults and 5 kids but the order wasn't complicated. Completely unable when they asked the chefs to make a slight alteration for one person who wanted a savoury waffle instead of a Pancake. Costs them barely anything but wanted to charge loads to accommodate. Prices are alright if you only order set meals and offers but this is center parcs through and through trying to capitalise on people trapped on their holiday park. Literally go anywhere else on the village for food.

Always a great selection of beers, something for everyone and we always end up on the scampi & bacon fries
