Pancake House in Rushcliffe

Every time we boom at trip to center parcs we always have to visit the pancake house,and it didn’t disappoint this time the staff are always very friendly so it out to jill who was very attentive even writing me a birthday card for my 50th it’s always busy and always great food

We were so disappointed they’ve stopped doing the sweet Dutch pancakes, the menu has changed and if you want a classic pancake with sweet toppings, like fruit, sauces and cream they would cost about £18, where as the American pancakes or waffles are £10.50. I’ve no idea why they can’t do any type of base with any of the toppings for the same price. We used to love the Savoury pancakes too, but now the savoury toppings are all weird combinations

Remember years ago , when people from around the world would mock food in the UK. Well…here we go. Food was just very very average and expensive. It’s just unacceptable in this day and age. Pancakes felt packaged not home made, with a few sad little rashers of bacon. Luke warm coffee. Just not good enough guys.

Last time I came here was just after Center Parcs opened. Great pancakes for breakfast and service, but children running about unsupervised made me worry. The servers shouldn’t have to dodge small children whilst carrying hot food and drinks.

Usually love this place at all Centre Parcs. We were told we were the last orders, and the pancakes were overpriced and not good value. Felt rushed. Had tea but arrived with teapot but teabag in cup? The lady was great. When considering sweet pancakes, the male server was abrupt and wanted us to choose sweet when hardly started the main course.

Very disappointed with the food. Got a savory dish which appeared with a crust of burnt cheese covering everything. The pancake was nice but the topping was overcooked and unappealing. When it was flagged to serving staff they couldn't get away fast enough. Maybe the sweet pancakes are good but after already paying a lot for the meal we were not prepared to stay.

Great food. Always been very busy every time I have been, however, a must go to if you are in Centre Parks.

Mostly leaving this review for Jill because she is an absolute treasure and I'd eat here again just for her! The food is nice but expensive for what you get. The restaurant does get VERY busy so be prepared for lots of noise!

Booked for a 50th Birthday Breakfast. Omg the fruit pancakes with strawberry frosting was to die for. Not the cheapest but well worth it.

Not what it used to be. We’ve visited Center Parcs numerous times and have always enjoyed a breakfast and lunch here, but were sadly disappointed on this occasion. Venue was packed, with tables and chairs squashed together. We were seated directly in front of a “fire” exit, which was being used by guests and staff to get outside. Very cold and uncomfortable every time the door was left open. The food was below average, severely overpriced and took AGES to come. Seems like there may be staffing/kitchen issues that need resolving.

Paid £8.95 for a slice of toast and a few rashers of bacon... The group I was with ordered pancakes and they got a decent amount of food for the same price... Don't get the french toast. Rip off!

Dreadful, pancakes were stodgy and cheap but charged at premium. Some of the items looked out of date. Overall shockingly bad experience

We had lunch here, twice because we liked so much. Great location beside Lake, wide food choices, remember you need to book.

Lots of options, I highly recommend trying something savoury as well as the sweet pancakes. The kids menu was a great price and everyone really enjoyed the food.

We were seated in a great position in the restaurant near a play area and were well looked after by the staff and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. Everything was served in good time too.

Pancakes for mains, then pancakes for dessert! Staff were really nice a friendly with our large group, and really good with the kids! However, on one occaision I was missing the cheese on my "Just-Cheese" omlette!

Great place for super indulgent sugary goodness and a Centerparcs staple for our family. The only downside is how rushed you feel considering how much you're spending. We literally ordered our drinks and they arrived with our food in less than 5 mins. So 10 mins in I had eaten and finished my drink. We were all done and paid in less than 25 minutes. I'll still go again but I'll stall the staff next time to drag it out a little to make the experience last longer .

Great staff really good food not that expensive

Compared to other places we ate at within Centre Parks, this was the best but even then it was only just about good. However, in comparison to the other eateries at centre parks, this was amazing. Service was friendly and attentive The dessert was great compared to the other offerings in Centre Parks and decent overall but nothing on a decent dessert parlour you’d find on the highstreet of most cities despite them charging a higher price point

Food is bland and the pancakes are very average. The omlette had no salt. The chocolate sauce on the pancakes tasted like icecream choc sauce rather than real chocolate. Really not good.

Fantastic Sunday morning visit with the family. Four of us dined here and enjoyed every moment. Lovely location on the lake with super helpful and friendly staff. We had cookie dough, chocoholic, New York style and the farmers. All delicious a lovely experience all round. Would return 100%.

Family of 8 including a baby so a large order. Service was very good especially from Mel the manager. Pancakes especially the desert ones were good. Yes it isn’t cheap but that’s what you expect from any of the Center Parcs restaurants in my long experience of staying there. So not entirely sure why the previous comments seem quite so surprised about the cost.

Me and my family love the pancake house, such a novel experience of having sweet or savoury pancakes for a restaurant meal. We always receive 5 star service and the food is great! I would recommend a small meal though as the regular is more like a large.

Do NOT waste your money! Positive: service was great and was happy to pay the optional service charge. Negative; It was extortionate. The prices do not reflect the quality of food on offer. The pancakes were crispy and cold- my child refused to eat it. A tiny pot of cream was £1.50 and the basic pancake was around £6.95. The nachos lacked cheese- next to none. The New Mexico omelette was so dry I had to ask for ketchup. We left feeling underwhelmed and thinking it was such a waste of money :( Don’t bother. There are much much much better places to eat on site

Food was amazing bit pricey but definitly recommend while you're here, massive thanks to the staff who moved our table and got us a fresh lot of food after a group of wasps came through the window and attacked our food

Will never dine here again. Table not ready for when we arrived, the atmosphere was awful so loud couldn't hear people across our table. The food took an hour to come out from order. So much so that we and 3 rounds of drinks asked of us before. We had a fairly large part of 6 adults and 5 kids but the order wasn't complicated. Completely unable when they asked the chefs to make a slight alteration for one person who wanted a savoury waffle instead of a Pancake. Costs them barely anything but wanted to charge loads to accommodate. Prices are alright if you only order set meals and offers but this is center parcs through and through trying to capitalise on people trapped on their holiday park. Literally go anywhere else on the village for food.

We came here for breakfast as a family and it was extortionate. The food was ok but absolutely not worth the £76 bill! Omelette was very basic, wouldn't have it again. The pancakes were average. We asked for beans for the kids instead of ham in their pancakes as there is no vegetarian breakfast option on the kids menu and they said it was fine to substitute it but when the bill came, they had charged each substitution as an extra topping. We were charged £8 for substitutions! When I queried it we were told 'oh we don't do substitutions ' and the waitress offered to speak to a manager but by this point, our littlest was inconsolable and we had to just leave. There is also an automatic service charge. I would avoid going there again, 2 omelettes, 2 kids meals, 2 desserts and a latte for £76 is just ridiculous

Great location overlooking the lake and the savory pancake I had was really tasty! Family members had both savory and sweet and there were good reports all round.

Went here for our lunch. There is plenty of selection and is located near the lake with some lovely views . All had some lovely food and can't wait to go back soon . Really friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Visited the Pancake house on our first day of arrival, hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us in. Table for 2 outside over looking the lake. So glad as it was very noisy inside especially near the kids play area. Ordered Cookie Monster American stack, banoffee stack, nachos, luxury hot choc and large tango. Very pleased and all were delicious. Bit stingy on the bananas though. I think there was just one slice in-between each pancake. Lovely view, staff were lovely - £45 bill which included the standard 7.5% service charge.

Very very expensive , £57 .00 for 3 people, good service . One pot of tea , a latte and an orange juice, 2 all day breakfast pancakes and an all day omelette

Food is good as expected. However it is not ok for your servers to clear plates when someone in the party is still eating. It is the height of rudeness. I believe the comment was, "by the time I've cleared these you will be finished". We did not ask for the bill and you brought it after clearing most of the table whilst one of us was still eating. I can't really believe it still. Don't address customers as *mate*; it is inappropriate. Staff need retraining. It wasn't busy and they did not need the table back.

After a three hour drive down to Center Parcs it was such a pleasure to stroll through the trees to the Pancake House, and indulge ourselves.

We really enjoyed our visit. The service was quick, efficient and courteous and the food was delicious.

I see a common theme with centre parcs and eating out, it is silly expensive for food in the restaurants and the same goes for the pancake house. I don't know if it's because I'm poorer than most, but I found the £70 bill for 5 to eat. That's 3 adults and 2 children to be very expensive for pancakes. The food was nice but I've eaten better pancakes from our supermarket here back home. There was a great buzz from people, and kids seemed to enjoy themselves. The lass serving (Annie) seemed really nice, but she was run off her feet, and we hardly saw her because she was tending tables while another staff member with gingerish hair was messing about.

We went to the pancake house for a family breakfast on a Saturday morning. The food was average. The American pancake stack was very disappointing (as in I had far better at a local place where I live!). The waffles and dessert and savoury pancakes were okay. What really annoyed me was that our server came to ask if we had finished as one of our party was still chewing a last mouthful. When we said no, as a child still had a lot on their plate, she insisted on taking the empty plates. Then a couple of minutes later, she came back and asked if we wanted the bill. Very much a case of: “you’ve eaten, now we need your table and you can f** off”. The restaurant wasn’t even completely full! Not impressed with this level of service that we had to pay for as a 7.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill! I don’t blame the server, I blame the training they received. Pancake House, do better!

Fab place for a late lunch and the staff were super accommodating. Abbie in particular is fantastic and a great server! I had the New Mexico savoury pancake then Dutch Apple waffle and both were delicious

I always look forward to eating at a Pancake House whilst staying at a Center Parcs , and this one is as good as any . Great food and service . Great views over the lake .

2 stars and a very strong reason, - Overpriced and its a money making con. Don't get me wrong the pancakes are really nice but I paid £12 and for all of u it just cost £30. £12 for a pancake with a scoop of ice cream, squirty cream and some drizzle. U could easily go to the shop and buy the ingredients for around £5 quid and make 3x the amount of pancakes in ur lodge. Its a money making scam.

The food was 50/50 the American pancake stacks were very very good but the desert pancakes were horrible (3 people had and no one liked them). Do not recommend them at all, especially at busy times.

It is rare that I could cook a better meal than a restaurant, but my omelette was bland, overcooked, and awful.

Great pancakes, good variety of food. Caters for gluten free as well. Lots of variety and reasonably priced. Lovely setting when the some is out, great for kids and grown ups too. Can't really go wrong, worth a visit when you're in centre parcs.

I have been visiting Centre Parcs since childhood and I can’t ever recall a time where The Pancake House was not on the holiday agenda, regardless of how long our stay and whenever I hear of family/friends visiting, I always recommend. An excellent selection of both savoury and sweet pancakes and omelettes depending on topping choice. Wonderfully situated overlooking the lake with option for indoor and outdoor seating. Always impressed and for as long as I continue to return to Centre Parcs, I will always visit The Pancake House. Thanks again for another excellent visit ☺️

Good, tasty food. Quick, fresh and lots to choose from. A little bit pricey for what is a pancake, but I suppose this is the monolopy that Center Parcs can play when there's no-where else on site or nearby like this to go to.

The pancakes were massive portions although like everything in Centerparcs not cheap. Service was fast and efficient. Food was good quality and I'd eat there again.

Had the omelette which was ok but nothing great considering the price is over £11 for regular size. Staff were polite and friendly but the place didn't have a great atmosphere. Don't think I would eat here again.

Great Pacake House at Center Parcs. The pancakes are better than the omelettes and, of the savoury pancakes, the New Mexico is the one to go for. It is super-tasty and has appreciably more filling than the others. Rounded off with a pleasant family oriented atmosphere and cheerful service. Booking is usually essential.

A fantastic place to come for pancakes, don't go for the omelette though, they are bland (at least my chicken one was) The sweet pancakes the kids had were all devoured with lots of mmmmms, with them wanting more at the end. My partner had the breakfast pancake and said it was delicious, regular size being a bit too big for her to finish. The staff were all friendly and attentive. It's a little pricey for what it is, especially the drinks, but overall its a great place and would recommend coming here.

Food was mank. Very underwhelming considering the prices. Lily hated it. Alex hated it. Amy hated it. Harry hated it. I hated it. We were perched at the end of the table and they gave me the wrong drink.

Lovely place, lots of choice for food and staff were warm and welcoming. Me and my family had the Meat Feast pancake, Cookie monster stack, Caramel crunch waffle, and the farmers omelette. They were very delicious. And the Carrivean punch mocktail they serve is very nice, has a very distinct tropical taste to it.

The pancakes are not good here. I don't understand why people really like this place, I have been dragged here a number of times and every time it has been very meh. Your one job is to do pancakes and you can't even get that right... Last time I went I decided to order an omelette which was fine, but an expensive omelette... I have heard the nachos are ok as well. Basically anything other than a pancake... And definitely not the savoury pancakes.

I didn't fancy anything sweet so I went for a savoury pancake (which I had reservations about). Really enjoyed it. The little ones loved it, obviously. Very friendly and chefs hats for the kids too

Food was unfortunately not great. Some of my family had sweet pancakes and thought they were ok, two of us had the meat feast pancake and it was vile. Unfortunately had to leave half. Stay away from the savoury pancakes and hope it’s cooked properly and you might be ok.

All the food here is amazing. The American Pancakes were the best I've had since I moved to the UK from the Diner Capital of the US, New Jersey. Aimee our server was pleasant and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. This was probably the best customer service in a restaurant we've had in a long time. All the staff seemed like they really cared that our meals were perfect. Wish we came here more during our Center Parcs stay, rather than trying it at the end. This will be our new spot next time. Thanks Aimee and rest of the staff!

It was very mediocre, in my opinion. The food was ok but too stodgy. It was very loud, I know it was at Center Parcs, and there were lots of families, but it felt very cramped in with very little room to move

If you want an English crepe do not come here! Pancakes are 1.5 - 2cm think and under cooked. Super expensive too - save yourselves and make your own! No plans to return

If you want to be insulted, made fun of and be sworn about if you dare complain, this is the place for you. The food, when it arrived was as expected, it was busy and everyone arrived for opening time. The front of house manager? Niall? Told us several times to sit where he directed, his manners were downright rude. The tables were tightly packed and 3 meals did not arrive and had been missed from the order so we were waiting a long time. No apologies were offered. Eventually we had a professional waitress who was polite. The other stood at the door when we exited and alongside the manager made a show of smiling in a really over the top way and said "Bye" I might be asking too much but good polite service, goes a long way.

6 of us went before we came home , it was rammed everyday we were in centre parcs but we managed to get in on the last day , we were served by Laura I think her name was and she was super friendly and...

We pre-booked for a party of seven. The staff very attentive and efficient with drinks, ordering and serving. Once you've decided if your sweet or savory the rest is just follow the menu. If you're not a pancake or Waffle person then a good option is to go for an Omlette. Can be expensive for what you get.

The perfect start to a day in center parcs, tasty pancakes and lovely staff, beautiful view of the lake too. A little pricey as it all adds up quick but a lovely treat whilst on holiday.

We visited the pancake House this weekend and had a wonderful visit. The first thing we noticed was how brilliant the staff were with the young children we were with, and generally very friendly and attentive. The food of course was delicious and throughly enjoyed by everyone! A must visit spot for Centreparcs holidays - we will definitely be back.

Staff were really friendly. Food expensive but not extortionate. The omelets were nice enough and came quickly. Nice views. Coffee could have be warmer

Great food as always, reasonable value (a bit of a mark-up is expected in Center Parcs) and excellent service! Our server Jess especially went above and beyond to make it a great experience. The only drawback is that it is fairly crowded and can get noisy, but it's a family-oriented place so that's fairly expected.

Lucky to get one! Do not order an omelette here because you will be served a rubbery leather slab! Stay away!
