OMG… sumptuous fine dining.. it was a choice between here and the Ivy Bistro.. So glad we chose the Palace Restaurant.. the iced tea was to die for for £6, the toasted cheese sandwich.. sublime.. run don’t walk here

OMG it's amazing I might of been hospitalised but it's worth it for the microwaved Aldi meals I went to the loo but there was no bog roll so I just asked the lovely lady and she gave me paper towels but womp womp then my food came omg SCRAN It only cost me a kidney for the meal I would recommend the Pizza or fish and chips this place needs a Michelin star I would give 10 stars if I could.

Had a romantic steak dinner heree best food I ever had in a while, greatt for anniversary dinners and fine dining events!

When I arrived I was Giving a free steak and got sat down in my throne and the workers were very polite to me. I don't get the hate for this place I would give it a 12/10

How has it a license ????? Came here for brunch -this is NOT ENGLAND or the way we treat customers! I own a cafe in Bristol and if I behaved like the same staff at ours we would be closed . No tap water or access to WC?! Microwave meals from Aldi?! Wtf is happening guys ? The full English was a “quarter English” microwaved . I didn’t pay. Disgusting daylight robbery

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The London Disaster, as I now call it, is hands down the worst food experience I've ever had in my life. The name of the restaurant couldn't be more fitting for the catastrophe that awaits you inside. Let's start with the rude woman. I've encountered rude service before, but nothing quite like this. The woman acted like she was doing me a huge favor by letting me order. Eye rolls, huffs of impatience, and a complete lack of basic courtesy were the hallmarks of her service. Speaking of prices, prepare to be gouged. The menu is a masterclass in highway robbery. Every item is grossly overpriced, and for what? Tasteless, poorly prepared slop. I ordered what was described as a "fish and chips," but what arrived at my table was a dry, flavorless hunk of frozen fish and stale chips that had clearly been reheated multiple times. In short, avoid this place at all costs. Rude woman who can barely communicate properly, disgusting food, and prices that will leave you feeling like you've been mugged. Save your money and your sanity by steering clear of this culinary nightmare.

Words cannot begin to express how bad the food is here...it's just so awful. The fish and chips I ordered was the worst I've ever eaten.the fish was bland and the chips had that just defrosted feel to them..and top it off they were served by the rudiest waitress I've ever come across. She's clearly in the wrong job. In short if Gordon Ramsay ever brings back the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares he should come here first.

£16 for one coffee, a small, old bit of fig cake and a juice that was 3 weeks out of life. On top of that the receipt came on a torn off, tiny piece of paper. Please avoid this awful place. A real rip off, and I hate to think that the tourists might think this is "really" England.

Had the most amazing sweet! Had green goo coming out of it lol but omg it was so nice, then a lovely cup of tea, £10! I wanted to visit this place because of the comments and its reputation. There was no waitress but just an elderly man, he was so nice, I actually had a little laugh with him at the end, wanted to let him know how amazing the sweet was. I understand people hating this place etc but I wanted to go there with a positive attitude and be respectful and kind, so i did, and i got the same back. Yes its dingy and dark but personally honestly I was very happy with everything, yes its expensive but you are opposite Buckingham Palace! As a youtuber it is important that I go to these places, maybe I will visit again in the future but for now thank you for the pleasant visit!

In contrary to most of the reviews on Trip Advisor, I would like to share my experience with this establishment. In my opinion the food was really good and so was the service, the owner of the Palace restaurant made everything fresh and brought everything to our table on his own. (Even though he is already of age, and moved rather slowly) The price range is pretty much what you would assume from an establishment who is near the Buckingham palace, It wasn't cheap but it wasn't anything to cry about as well. He even talked with us about how we would get to the airport and avoid traffic ☺️. All in all a great last place to eat before I left off to my own country again. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone who visits or is in the Buckingham palace area.

SHOCKING! Avoid. Awful food and stupidly overpriced. £5 for a cup of undrinkable coffee, £4.50 for basic tea and the affront to charge service. Two horrible breakfasts and drinks £43! Interior is like a squat. The rude woman serving bizarrely stored her coat in a disused chest freezer. Beware, they’ve pained over the Palace to read ace. It is very far from that. Please do not give them your money. Plenty of decent places around. I’ve put going in there down to a really bad life choice.

Fish & Chips were mediocre but cost twice what it would cost elsewhere. The lady working there wasn’t very friendly at all. Bad decision.

If you value your health then avoid at all cost! The food is disgusting, the cafe is filthy the woman who serves could do with a crash course in customer service and I’m going to have nightmares about the toilet.

2 sausage chips and beans and 2 teas, £46, plus you have to pay when you order, found out why when the food came, 1 sausage, cold beans and a handful of frozen chips on the plate, all served up by the rudest person in London.

I chose this place over the better looking restaurant next door, as it had a "traditional Greasy spoon" look about it. However, it is anything But! The Blonde woman is RUDE.... No customer service skills at all. We couldn't use the toilet until after we had ordered. The prices are way too high, Even for London. The Menu stated Full English breakfast £13.50 but consisted of 2 eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage and either Chips or Toast! Definitely not a full English breakfast! And on reading it from the menu "2 eggs, bacon, sausage"....... you may think (like me) that you get 2 bacon and 2 sausage, but you would be wrong! I heard a table further down ask if they do "children's meals" the answer was a straight up NO! That's because the Adult meals are actually the size of kids meals!

I have reported this establishment to trading standards. Absolutely no respect for peoples dietary requirements. Was reassured something wasn't meat at the point of ordering, and even when it was on the plate in front of me. The waitress was literally pointing at the meat on my plate and saying it's fine, it's vege, as if I'm a total imbecile. It was clearly meat. When I asked to see the ingredients I was told to leave. The woman who runs this place is just so rude. She changes the price of things from what’s written on the menu. £4.50 for one slice of toast when the menu says £2.50. I could get 6 loaves of bread for that price. Woman shouts at people for random things. She shouted at one lady who said she likes dogs!???? Never ever going here again. The food is really poor quality, I had a lump of dried fat on my beans. Honestly how is this place still trading?

We travelled all the way from Waterloo to visit this abomination. We didn't believe the horrendously accurate reviews that preceded us. But... HOLY FERK. How they get away with serving the pig shizzle on plates that they do is absolutely beyond me. I would rather cut out my husbands sperm-shooter, fry it off, marinade it in bird saliva and force it down my throat than visit this disease-ridden "establishment" again. The chicken was so raw I could still hear it clucking. I'm 94% sure I heard a faint neigh from my burger (they must shop inTesco #scandal). The soggy chips made my milk balloons look firm, and the coffee tasted worse than my bumhooley after a vindaloo. Pretty decent tbh.

Got drawn in by the cookies, tasted like they had been left there for years. Mocha was disgusting, lukewarm coffee without any chocolate. Woman was rude, we had to pay before we even got any food or drinks. Cost £15 for 3 cookies and one drink. Dirty, old fashioned. The way I was treated was apalling. The food was not edible, still frozen inside and they said it was perfectly cooked. No tapwater go to legal requirement. Look up the food hygiene standards on this it’s actually “requires improvement“ I really can’t believe this place is allowed to run as it is a shame on our city. To make matters worse I got food poisoning I wrote to the restaurant to complain but there was no answer. despite what you might think, and what these goblin reviewers have said, this restaurant has nothing but the upmost respect and definitely clean tables that don't have pigeon poo on them. the chairs may only have one leg, but the challenge to sit down is quite fun and enjoyable for the whole family. tbf the food is a tad overprinted but honestly I needed a wazz so00000 badly that id pay 11.50 for a shortbread half the size of my finger.

Well there is no cheese on the grill cheese and also it’s not grilled by the way the bread was moulded, The burger was like the ones you get from the Tesco’s frozen section. There is no tap water and they were extremely rude.

Before visiting the beautiful Bucking Palace, my wife and I entered into the regally named Palace Restaurant, located on Bucking Palace Road. This was a big mistake!

Popped in with my friends for a drink before buckingham palace tour ..was told only allowed in if we were eating ..so the 5 of us were shown to a dingy table that was cramped and the place stunk of grease . 2 of my friends used the toilet whilst the rest of us looked at menu ..an extrememly rude bad mannered woman asked what we wanted ..i replied that we would wait for our friends and order together ..she didnt like that at all and told us we needed to order now ..we all felt the same and couldnt believe her attitude and abruptness so went to walk out ..she stood in our way and said she was charging for the toilet ..2 of my friends had to pay 2 pound each what a total rip off !!!!!

Went in for a coffee. There was only one table having lunch. Asked if there was coffee and they said no. Then I noticed a sign that mentioned all the coffees available. asked again and they said they were only serving lunch. extremely rude

I ordered a main meal and glass of tap water. She refused to give me tap water, very rudely. She would only give me expensive bottled water. Do not go there. I have never left a bad review before.

We were doing the Buckingham Palace tour and it was pouring with rain so needed to shelter before we queued for the palace so decided to have two coffees in this place. We ordered at the counter and sat down two other people came in and were told very rudely to wait at the counter and not to sit down! The coffees were made, hubby had Americano I had cappuccino. The milk frother nozzle was not wiped after use. These cost us £6 with service charge in disposable cups. There was a plant bracket on a wall with cobwebs on it! A dead fly dropped onto the table. Many people came in and were also told to wait at the counter and we saw many deciding to leave before ordering. The toilets were a disgrace not very clean . It was a tired dated and dirty place and it now makes sense why it was so empty. I wouldn’t call it a restaurant at all more like a dirty greasy spoon. Wish I could have given it zero rating but there was no option.Just avoid this place it’s awful

Booked Royal Day Out tickets for my friends.Thought it is better for them to have some thing to eat during a very brief break (30-40 minutes) before going to the State Room. Therefore we decided to have something there as it was quite empty before we went and the restaurant is near to the Palace. The whole experience was bad in the following respects:

Had some friends with me visiting London from Germany. Had been having a great time but we were short of time so hadn’t eaten until we were making our way back to Victoria Station. Found this place and though we’d give it a try. The place was empty. Went to sit down and stopped by woman who said ‘wait to be seated’ that should have been a clue. Ordered cheese burger, spaghetti bolognese, tuna pasta and a cheese omelette. Four meals.

I probably won’t get an invite to a garden party, so this was the next best thing.. a good selection of sandwiches and cakes plus tea / coffee. Not cheap and difficult to find a spare seat but worth it.

The first thing to say it is slap bang in main tourist area and therefore its costs and the prices are higher than normal. The place from outside looks tatty and tired. Inside the waitress is quiet but effective, We has two diet cokes (a glass full with ice cubes) and two tuna sandwiches and it cost over £20. The coke was just that. The sandwiches had a lovely soft but standard bread. The tuna was tinned mixed with mayonnaise. Not special maybe but tasty and delicious.

THE most expensive bacon and egg sandwich I’ve ever had (£6.95!) which was also pretty terrible, reheated bacon, half toasted (cheap) bread even though I didn’t ask for it to be toasted (probably done because it was too stale). No wonder it was empty in there, wish I’d looked at reviews first as I would definitely have gone a few shops along to the next cafe. Almost waiting to be ill now (hope I’m wrong!). Unwelcoming and unfriendly man behind the counter, certainly won’t be visiting again! Horrendous!

Entre Victoria Station y Buckingham Palace encontramos un pequeño lugar que me hizo recordar fuentes de soda de mi ciudad natal, en busca de probar el tradicional fish an chips decidimos comer ahí, no nos equivocamos, preparación fresca, patatas que no eran congeladas, una atención muy cordial, nos dieron incluso algunos tips para comer y disfrutar tal como lo hacen los londinenses, acompañamos el plato con unas cervezas locales para terminar con un pie también de mano factura hogareña y muy sabroso.

Avoid like the plague. Terrible service from staff, woman screaming at us for picking a fork up too early. She also sneezed all over my friends food and still expected him to eat it! Apparently ‘this is how we eat in my country’. To make matters worse we then caught a rat scurrying into a hole near the bread.

As soon as I walked in the woman screamed at me for not knowing what I want, I got the chicken and chips and the picture says it all. I would rather go skinny dipping with Micheal Barrymore than eat here again. How this place is still open is beyond me. She said having chicken medium rare is normal and tastes better then kicked me out for complaining! And wouldn’t even let me have my food. Police are currently investigating this
