Great Pakistani food and karahi, kebab. Staff is very nice and humble. Great customer service and food is very nice

We were really hungry. Been going green street for sometime, we decided to try Pakhtoonkhowa restaurant. Ordered the food, the food came but the bread was missing, the cold food even got colder. The Kabuli Palaow was microwaved, we asked for it to be heated up further as it was very cold, went and came back microwaved. U could feel the plate, that it came out of microwave. The food wasn’t fresh at all. Terrible, Terrible & terrible. When going up to pay, spoke to the guy and told him about the food. He didn’t agree so I picked up the palaow which we didn’t even eat, showed to him, he could see how the food looked. No apology or anything. Charged for the whole food. I’m not a guy who normally write reviews. Not being arrogant I would spend good amount of money on food, if the food is good, the money is worth it. I felt ripped off here, the amount is just under £40 but seemed as if I had given £400. Won’t be going there again. Those thinking of going there, try and avoid. It is NOt worth it. Lol eat chicken and chips instead for £2 and it tastes better.

Una estafa completa y la peor comida jamás comida. Durante el programa de ayuda para salir a comer, aumentaron los precios al doble con porciones pequeñas, el personal no era profesional y la comida no tenía sabor. Evite el lugar

Terrible servicio, sin duda, nunca he experimentado tal servicio, el peor servicio jamás. Hubiera dado 1 comienzo, pero su comida era buena, así que le doy dos estrellas. Buena comida pero con el peor servicio de todos los tiempos, también los precios se suben específicamente para aprovechar injustamente el plan de ayuda para comer fuera.

Taste was horrible. Wouldn't go again double check ur bill. We were charged 15 pounds for meal. No good

Its a small place with a limited seating capacity. We were given a place in the basement where there was a smell of damp, it was not pleasant. The food was okish, chicken curry was ok, not upto the mark, however, chapli Kebabs were somewhat of better quality and we were provided with the fresh naans. Pakoras were also cold and traditional drink was also bland.

I've been here three times now and each time the food and hospitality has been great. Last visit was with Pasthtun friends who also loved it!

The food was disgusting horrible. Over charged. I felt the food was not Afghan or Pakistan. It was a total 💩

Dissapointed, the manager advises to get the set menu. The food taste neither Pakistani or afghani. Not very good standards. Over priced. Food quality not very good tbh.

Went here for dinner with some Friends. Good food, salad wasn’t washed and gave me and a friend an upset stomach the next day and only thing we shared was the salad. Shocking service - they couldn’t be bothered to serve us at all. Took 20 mins to bring us drinks and ask our food choices. Bought us the wrong food also. Good food but won’t be returning and such a shame as we live 5 mins away!

There was hardly a single thing on the menu of this restaurant that is Afghan?? Karahi?? Biryani?? Lassi?? Where is Afghan mantu? Ashak?? Borani banjan?? It is actually a Pakistani cuisine , very misleading !

The food was very badly cooked. We ordered a karai and it had barely any meat in it, most of it was liver. The chops were also uncooked and looked red and smelled really bad. This was our second time going, the first time was bad but this time it was even worse

Went on a Thursday evening with my sister, brother inlaw and niece. Restaurant was moderately busy. We asked to sit downstairs for privacy and managed to get a section. It was clean. The man who took our order was very knowledgeable around the dishes. We ordered, one portion of Kobeda, Chapli Kebab, Dampukt (slow cooked lamb shank), pilou rice and family naan to share. The kobeda and chapli kebabs were very tasty the spices were spot on, not even too chilly as opposed to some places that we have eaten. Dampukt was excellent although a tad too much of chillies were thrown in. Naan was yummy. Tea at the end was a nice treat. The lamb in the rice was roasted so it was too chewy.

Came here for a quick eat out with the lads. Ordered the set meal for 4 with the tarka dhaal and chicken karahi. Pros Mango Lasi was nice Naan was nice Cons Fake 7up Hoover ran whilst we were eating Karahi was bland and tasted sweet Barely in lamb chops Tarka dhaal was actually chaana dhaal My friend gagged upon his first bite of the karahi Wouldnt recommend

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Recommended. The mata kare platte is delicious, highly recommended

The food is very good here. But a bit pricey. Service is very poor. Needs to be improved. Most of the reviews are spot on. Also very small in capacity. Unless you sit on the carpet floor. Afgani tradition.

Decided to give them a second chance after awful first visit, 2nd time was worse. When you are told full chicken, expect a baby chicken for £17:99 .. Ran vacuum cleaner while dining, do not take CC, (cash only). Was told typically "don't worry" several times but when paying bill was surprised at the causal rip-off.

El restaurante es limpio y cómodo para cenar. Pedimos la Mancha Pulao, Mata Kare y (creo) el Pollo Kadai. Los platos estaban muy bien sazonada y el sabor era muy equilibrado y abundante. Fue una de las comidas más increíbles que he tenido en mi vida, en serio.

Organizamos fiesta iftar para nuestros amigos y familia. elegimos este restaurante como queríamos porque queríamos nuestra comida tradicional. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados con el servicio. En vez de proporcionar raciones proporcionan una bandeja pequeña para 37 personas. El servicio era muy lento y terrible, tuvimos que trabajar como camareros para conseguir la comida y dar a nuestros huéspedes. En lugar de brindar con placas normales nos han dado decente cubiertos de plástico y platos. La mayoría de nuestros huéspedes no comer de todo después de ayuno todo el día debido a su mala administración. Nos prometieron inicialmente, se proporcionará con chat algo de fruta y té de cortesía, que se negaron a dar entonces. Al final, el personal intentó cobrarnos 40 personas cuando nos invita claramente a 35 personas

Had a lovely experience in this family run restaurant. Excellent good quality food. Reminded me of being back in my hometown of Peshawar. Highly recommend a visit here. Will definitely be returning.

I am basically from pakhtoo khwa so i know how our food taste like and i have been to numerous restaurants in uk, but yesterday after have a very long and tiring day we decided to try out this place, and i was shocked at how nice and tasty the food was , its a shame they have just put 5* because this place is worth more then that as they have lovely atmosphere and food and lovely people to greet you and serve you, but when i tasted the food it was exactly how it is made there but may b even tastier , the lamb meat was softer then even chicken, and just too too good, we are definetly returning back , and will recommend to all my friends and family , thank you soo much for everything ,

Been here with a couple of friends for a treat. We all loved the food. Great experience. Would recommend to those who are fond of Afghan cuisine.

I love their kebab and salad so tasty . They also give this massive naan which they bake fresh. I've tried their curries and pillau but couldn't get used to the chunks of ginger that afghan food has. The rice we ordered had raisins and nuts and stuff it was too different to what I'm used to. But my family love it so give it a try

Joli restaurant avec des petites ''salles" privatisées au niveau inferieur.Pour quelqu'un de non habitué à la cuisine afghane c'est une belle experience a faire surtout en famille.Pour les habitués de cette cuisine,ce sera peut-être moins convaincant.Sympa.

My family had a wonderful time on our visit to Pakhtoonkhwa Restaurant and it will have to be a must visit anytime we are back in London. We were treated to a lovely meal in Afghan style hospitality. The food is a bit different to the typically kashmiri cuisine we tend to have at Pakistani/Indian restaurants and was more suitable to my palate. Its also conveniently located just a few doors away from a Masjid.
