Pakefield Tandoori in Waveney

I asked for paneer as I'm vegetarian but just sent chicken, when I called just said they were out of paneer. Then put the phone down. Why not ring me?

Fantastic meal as always. Dishes were full of flavour without being over powered by salt (unlike some other local takeaways). The pashwari nann is the best I've ever tasted! Portion sizes are good and it arrived pipping hot!

Edible but everything was pretty bland, wouldn’t be my first choice in future.

Thought I’d take a chance and order from this place again but won’t be returning the curry and Bombay potatoes leaked in the bag all over the food and popadooms Was ruined I phone the shop and the owner was no help he passed me on to the driver that delivered the food and she was rude and said she didn’t do nothing to the food in drive when got pictures to prove just so rude and unprofessional I would never order from here again and £11 for a king pram masala the prawns weren’t king size

Very average. The curry is nice but there isn't any personal touches or garnish, very much meat, sauce and nothing else. The meat is very good and very tasty in the curry, however. The rice is less than supermarket quality but you get lots of it, it's quite brittle and dry. The dips only come in very small pots but are tasty. The overall meal is a high price for what you get.

Ordered food over the phone and said we would collect it but when we got there we couldn’t pay by card and was shouted at and told they ONLY TAKE CASH, by an old lady, at this point we were sent off to look for a cash point, which we did as we were hungry. We went back to the Rude old lady, who couldn’t be more rude and horrible to proved the worst service to a paying customer. I dearly hope they have all their tax and vat returns up to date, as they clearly state cash only, we all know why. WE WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN.

Food was absolutely awful with the late arrival to match. Phoned the takeaway directly but just fobbed off. What used to be an amazing takeaway has sadly vanished. Very sad

Just finished our meal…. Absolutely delicious, only reason ‘quality’ does not have 5 stars, there was a lot of oil in the special jalfrezi.

Just about the best curry we've had. The right amount of spice, and not salty. Mushroom rice amazing! We'll definitely order again soon.

usually a good place for a takeaway curry, but tonight it was just very poor quality. tiny pieces of lamb in a half filled tray and the potatoes in the sagg aloo were very hard with barely any spinach, not a good meal tonight, very disappointed 😞

best Indian in Lowestoft, I have tried almost all them and I always come back here. I've never had a bad one.

This is the first time we have used this restaurant. The food arrived early, was piping hot and was delivered by a very pleasant delivery lady. The order was correct and as I have said, the food was piping hot. The down side for us was that the Lamb was somewhat Chewy and the Chicken a little dry. On the basis of the meat being the most important part of the order that's a little disappointing. Everything else with the order was superb; Nan Breads, Poppadoms, Rice, Sauces, etc. The portion sizes were fine and overall I'd give this a 7/10. Had the meats been spot on then it really would have been a 10/10. As a former restaurateur (having owned 14 establishments over the years) I can be both full of praise and also critical, but I believe I can always be relied upon to give a fair critique. I would recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be using it again - I just hope the meat is better next time....

Have used this takeaway many times without any problem? as a valued customer or so I thought really didn’t expect to be spoken to or treated as I was tonight. Waited the hour expected for delivery but when it arrived and husband brought it into the light of the house one of the main dishes was in the bag covering the rest of the food. Rang pakefield tandoori who’s response was negative on a nutshell they advised we will send driver to bring back assess and then we may re deliver! I said no refund the dish or give me a credit note certainly did not want to waist another hour waiting for a dish whilst rest was in oven trying to keep warm Then was passed on to another member of staff still no resolve Then they hung up I called back and got a female member of staff who was very rude and was screaming at me . So basically don’t order from there food wasn’t that hot any way and the lamb we could recover from bottom of carrier bag wasn’t hot! Such a shame as they used to have such a good reputation They have taken my money and not supplied the goods and were not willing to resolve their problem

Wow I can honestly say this will be my new favourite Indian. I ordered the set meal for 1 and the tikka masala was absolutely delicious, the onion bhaji were not greasy at all and tasted amazing. There was so much food I have enough for round 2.

one of the dishes we ordered was wrong. The lamb was very tough and couldn't eat it. Delivery was left at the wrong house on the doorstep. Saying that the rest of the food was very good

We usually love pakefield tandoori, we order most Friday evenings for a end of week treat! However, I was disgusted with our order tonight the chicken was so chewy and rubbery with big red veins on the corners of the chicken which were visible once cut open and scraped the sauce off :( the garlic nann we had was black on the bottom burnt- couldn’t even eat it it was crisp. Very gutted pakefield tandoori, won’t be ordering again for a good while. Lost a loyal customer tonight. We’re utterly gut

Chicken was hard and rubbery, two different curries had the same dark brown sludge as sauce which was sweet like sugar and had no curry flavour at all. Very disappointing.

Best Indian in Lowestoft by far, I’d even say it’s the best I’ve ever had!!! The people there are so lovely and friendly too, it’s always nice going in there for collection. The meat is excellent quality, the vegetables and sauces are full of flavour and it’s all steaming hot!! Wonderful portion sizes and an impressive selection of dishes to choose from too. Literally cannot fault these guys!

Was late by 30-40 mins when I called the restaurant the man was extremely rude and swearing saying the address was wrong when it was not, the delivery driver I had to ring 3 times to tell him where the address was and where he is.

Always good. Wasn’t as hot (temperature) as I would like but I ordered from the other side of town so maybe that’s just life.

Very ordinary quality, too much ghee, everything overcooked, which was disappointing. The lamb was bland and poorly cooked, and everything tasted of one homogeneous overcooked dish. The naan was the best item.

The just eat page said delivered at the time it was ordered for but it actually arrived 20 minutes later after a phone call to the restaurant.

Never got my order and it’s saying that I collected which I didn’t would like to no where my food is
