Fantastic take away... entrance and waiting area was very clean and welcoming, food order didn't take long at all , Price was very reasonable and the food was lush.. we were only visiting while on a break... but I'd definitely recommend this takeaway.. 5 🌟

Pak Lee is definitely the best Chinese in Inverclyde I live Port Glasgow and Chinese are all rubbish but Pak Lee is my FAVOURITE I LOVE IT SIMPLY THE BEST

Shocking, food took one hour 3/4 to arrive, cold obviously, soggy chips, spring rolls soggy, mushrooms were no way fresh…. everything had to be reheated to make it possibly edible … which it wasn’t and ended up chucking it out….will not even phone to complain as this is the last order I give to pak lee, what has happened it used to be delicious and would arrive within half an hour , lovely fresh ingredients…. Nup yet another customer you’ve lost 😡

I order noodles and beansprouts, along with 2 curry's, rice and prawn crackers. I stipulated 3 times I wanted noodles WITH beansprouts. I recieved noodles. No beansprouts. Its certainly went down hill since being bought over. Avoid.

Part of our order was for a vegetarian, they ordered a side of mixed vegetables - unfortunately it had two bits of chicken in it...quite expensive for what the full order was, mostly onion used as a filler for each meal

Not much has changed with the new owner which isn't a bad thing. Only thing I did notice was the prices have gone up but I think that's happening everywhere. Still great food and great service

We both visited this Chinese takeaway whilst exploring the surrounding area, the front of shop appeared to have a good standard of cleanliness, the staff were pleasant and attentive, the food was extremely good especially the thick tasty curry sauce, we both would have no hesitation in recommending this takeaway to anyone while visiting this area.

New ownership but still great food and service

Shocking service ! Called and lady hung up on me . Called back and she answered the phone and threw the phone down without hanging up on me. What a terrible way to treat customers. Eventually got through and spoke with her ! Really busy ! Might not have that problem for long if thats how you treat customers .

Have had countless lovely meals over many years from the Pak Lee, but not tonight. The Spare Ribs with a Barbecue Sauce seemed to have been smeared in a synthetic chicken gravy. The Special Fred Rice, Singapore Noodles and Sweet and Sour Chicken were inedible. There were more staff taking orders than I've ever seen there before but there seemed to be very little grip on what was going on, and some members of staff clearly didn't have much experience of dealing with the public. Money's tight just now, and this was a special treat. Dreadfully disappointed.

I've been visiting this take-away for over40 years. Unfortunately, it's under new management. I asked for my favourite meal, Sweet and Sour Chicken Breast and Chips. This used to entail two breasts of chicken with chips and Sweet and Sour Sauce. Laterally one HUGE chicken breast. Tonight I ordered the same, couldn't check it until I got home. It was Sweet and Sour onions with LITERALLY FOUR one centimetre cubes of chicken. It tasted of NOTHING and went in the bin after one bite. Avoid like the plague!

Went back to Pak lee for the first time in two years last night for a Chinese meal. Sadly the meal was not upto scratch, asked for a chicken dish and the chicken was cold in some spots and he vegetables were rock hard, asked for fried rice only got both boiled and fried in the now reduced tinfoil pack definitely not Pak Lee quality of the past, the new owners don't seem to care about the quality and the reputation this carry out restaurant had acquired over the years,

Food is amazing and also fast delivery beats all other Chinese carryouts

I miss Pak Lee. Chinese cuisine in the US is not as good as it is in the UK and I miss Pak Lee the most.

Tasty but sometimes over-salted spoiling an otherwise good Chinese takeaway. Reasonably priced and quite speedy on delivery.

We have been using Pak Lee for the past 25 years and since new ownership, the service is terrible. Our order was wrong and the member of staff spoke to me terribly on the phone, refusing to accept responsibility. While waiting to collect order, several customers returned with incorrect order also. We know every new business will have teething problems and we gave them the benefit of the doubt with previous orders but their customer service is not good enough. If you are on the front counter, the phone or the kitchen, you are part of the ‘one business’ and a team. You don’t just blame the kitchen and think that’s acceptable. Front of house has the responsibility to rectify the ‘businesses’ mistakes. Very disappointed.

Chicken Chow Mein, Szechuan Chicken and Fried Rice ordered this week. Both meals disappointing, rice was dry and lacked flavour, chicken was rubbery, chow mien was not particularly tasty and szechuan sauce was watery. second time the food was disappointing and the quality was poor. Won't be back.

Absolutely fantastic food. The salt and chilli chicken and king prawn Cantonese were outstanding.

Worst takeaway I've ever had. See pics for the quality you can expect. Might have caught them on a bad day as they got our order wrong but the food was just dreadful.

Quality food but it needs a bigger menu.

Horrible service. Phoned the shop to ask if their curry sauce was suitable for vegetarians, was told yes, then said oh so theres no chicken stock, she then say yes theres chicken stock, which makes it not suitable for vegetarians. Also, my brother ordered a special curry with NO onions, and was given a beef curry with so many onions.

Ribs and chicken strips chewy . When you order a sweet and sour chicken you expect it to come with a sweet and sour sauce.

this is my favorite Chinese takeaway. the curry has this amazing creamy taste to it . been going there for years . hope it opens back up soon

Just had phone in order and will be the last. Food was appaulling the fried rice had no taste, and the portion of chicken balls was smallest ive ever had from anywere with 7 small pieces in a bag. Other meals were also bought coming to a total of £16.00 and yet no prawn crackers given complimentary, can honestly say its worst chinese meal ive had and would not recommend to anyone.

Got a takeaway beef curry with fried rice really enjoyed it also brilliant size portion will be back again thank you

Fast efficient service. Order taken quickly, approximate delivery time given, normally the delivery arrives before the estimated time. Delivery drivers are pleasant. Most importantly the food is delicious.

Had no menu, could not find any menu or delivery service online. Tried to order beef curry and a chips and curry sauce. Guy on the phone said it would be £13.90, when I questioned why it was so expensive, he said "ok, I cancel order, you never phone here again". Will absolutely be telling everyone about this experience.

We get a takeaway from here very often it is all ways lovely and doesn't take long to arrive they say half an hour and it takes half an hour

I just adore the curry and the chap who owns this place is always happy, pleasant and with a wee bit of chat for you. I’ll always get a curry from here if I’m craving one. Delicious 😋

Helped a friend move house recently and we decided a Chinese was the best way to celebrate unpacking day. Great menu selection. Staff were friendly and helpful when placing the order. Their card machine was not working so we had to pop over the road to get cash out. Not a big problem as we had to get some other stuff. They were happy to put the order in while we left. Only 10 minutes later when we came back the food was ready. Amazed at the speed given it a was a large order. Food was great. Impressed they use a local butcher for their meat. Good to see local business supporting each other. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Popped in for a quick takeaway of chicken balls and satay sauce. Very disappointed. Chicken balls were non existent (vv small) and the satay sauce tasted of nothing in fact it tasted like discoloured dirty water to be honest no hint of peanut or spice whatsoever. £13 for that is disgusting much like the food they served

We had a huge take out dinner. The cashew chicken was particularly tasty. As was the soup! Just a broth with green onions & mushrooms. One of the best Chinese I’ve had in Europe. And super fast delivery!

Great dark meat chicken curry. Good price and fast service. Ribs a little on the small size as they use a tub that's not large enough to accommodate the long ribs. Other wise a satisfactory visit. Would return.

Nice food out of this place for years. They do a nice salt and pepper chicken. Highly recommended and as one of only three Chinese takeaways in Gourock!

This take away has a very good standard of Chinese food. The service is fast, although it is very often busy and they also deliver.

I got a sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and a portion of spring rolls from this carry-out and must say it was revolting. The chicken did not taste at all like chicken and the batter nearly cracked one of my teeth when chewing....

Food looked as if it had been re-fried, or overcooked, it was almost burned. I have been there several times before and had nice food. The last two occasions were disappointing, so I will not be back.

Locals either love it or hate it. I'm in the former category. Maybe depends on the dishes you like but not to my taste

Always go here on a friday night for a takeaway. Food is always cooked perfect. Staff very friendly. Usually quite busy but never need to wait longer than 5 minutes. Best in gourock by a mile!!!

went for a takeway here on Sat evening after an absence of several months .There was a queue to get in and and a larger queue waiting on orders .It was certainly worth the wait , no more than ten mins .The food was superb ,service was as good , certainly back on the list

Have been going to the Pak Lee for a few years. Friendly family run place for a few generations now. Food is super fresh and very tasty - no fake stodgy sauces here. Would highly recommend the Singapore Noodles and also most of the Chicken or Prawn dishes, Chicken & Broccoli especially - home cooked, tasty, hot food .. quickly !
