Paanshee Restaurant in Denbighshire

It was the best in Indian restaurant in Prestatyn. Good prices, clean modern restaurant. But they have put their prices up a lot, Expensive now, been to cheaper restaurants in London. Food is excellent, though, but toilets are tired and dirty, which is a letdown. It also says a bit about their hygiene may be ? Friendly staff, and nice surroundings.

Was lucky to arrive early as the place filled up and is clearly popular! Service was prompt, efficient and pleasant, the atmosphere was excellent and very relaxing. Everyone seemed to be comfortable and enjoying their evening. The food was plentiful and of really good quality. Having been to a range of comparable places, I can honestly say that the subtle combination of flavours puts it up there with the best. It's not cheap - but it's worth it!

Avoid if you have an allergy or intolerance! The first red flag is they don’t have an allergen book. I let the first waitress know I have a gluten allergy and she told me she’d get someone else. Waited half an hour for another waiter. When he finally came to the table, I asked for which dishes contained gluten and he confused that with a milk allergy. He was rude when I tried to correct him, and I felt rushed to make a decision. Definitely avoid!

6 friends 🧡 Came to £172 for meals very nice food good portions We all paid separately for what we had eaten and drank upon leaving called us back and said we owed £11.26 we checked the bill that we had not missed anything out but all correct They insisted we still owed £11.26 asked us for £10 to cover it one member of our party asked him to check again everyone was looking at us he then agreed after totting it up with calculator that we didn't owe £11.26 no apology was made couldn't wait to get out tbh Oh and £5.60 for soda and lime ......really......

I can’t lie, we usually have had a nice meal here but this time was not good. The waiter burped on our food and didn’t even apologise, they refused to add paneer to a curry when it was an option on the menu, they rushed my wife and started taking her plate while still eating. The food was okay, not good

This restaurant is really good. Staff were friendly and service was great. The food was really enjoyable and would visit again. This is one of best India’s i have been to in a while. Would highly recommend.

Food - Excellent , fresh , tasty, and served hot. Service - some trouble with understanding some English , maybe new. Attentive , issue with bill but once they checked again , they amended. Atmosphere- Pleasant, clean, toilets clean Menus could do with a clean. Niggle- overpriced soft drinks.. Extortionate £5.50 fora large Coke ( , was it a pint?? / it was draft / flat ish). Alcohol , priced as expected. small/ large cordial should be priced accordingly. Sweetners - after meal mints were of quality and a Bailey's shot.. consider kahlua as an alternative.

Lovely food although wasn't as spicy as the menu had advertised. Service was so slow. 3 times we tried to get the waitress attention yet she went to a customer who whistled her over!! Asked for a boxes to take our left overs home but they insisted on taking it away to box up themselves. Took 20 mins to bring it back and even then they didn't bring all our meal back (missed a rice out). I wasn't prepared to wait ages to ask for the bill and pay so we went to the bar to pay and it took ages. Won't be returning for a while sorry.

What a disappointment this was, meant to be a treat for my husband's birthday but the food was very very poor. Been to Paanshee before and the food had been good and tasty hence the return visit. Pilau rice was ok, the garlic naan was totally devoid of garlic, Bombay Aloo dry and unpleasant tasting, the Tarka Dhal was undercooked and tasteless, our main course was supposed to be a mixed vegetable Jalfrezi but the only veg in it were potatoes and onions! If a restaurant can't provide for vegetarians they should not advertise such on their menus. The front of house staff were pleasant, shame the food did not match, unfortunately the management/owner of Paanshee don't seem to care about their reviews as they never comment on them, good or bad. This has been our last visit here.

WOW!! I tried the Cheesy Masala for the first time ever when on holiday in Prestatyn and wow wow wow it has honestly changed my life it was that good, I don’t think I can ever go back to eating curries local to me if it’s not a cheesy masala from paanshee! Unbelievable 100/10

Very clean Amazing food Great staff

Great food but why put a table for two next door to a large table of 6-8 plus? The noise was very deafening and really ruined what should have been a nice meal. That said we will be back again because the food is really nice.(Quieter area though please).

Items not asked for were put on the table but they were added continuously to the bill. A £50/60 experience ended up £97. If you didn't ask for it don't eat it. The food was lovely but I felt I was taken for ride.

10/10 takeout! Whether eating on or taking out food is always piping hot and delicious! Always very accommodating to vegans and vegetarians! Food always great and great customer service!

If you want a nice curry and good service don’t use this restaurant. The worst I’ve ever had. Go to the one next door. A thousand times better.

This is one of the best places we've been to have a curry! Throughly enjoyed our food and the atmosphere! Service was great and they were very busy. Nothing was too much trouble the staff were very helpful and polite. Will definitely come back again

The worst service and food I have ever experienced/ tasted in my entire life. I’ve had better curries from Iceland. Service is important in this industry. A smile costs nothing. Never again.

Great food , huge portions , really good service , sharing mixed starter then , Chicken Shaslick for the better half , coriander hatred adhered to , chicken tikka madras for me . Excellent!

Girl on the counter very pleasant. Food ok, other staff miserable and rude drink bought over while waiting literally banged on table, take away bought over and pretty much the same. Certainly didn’t feel appreciated as a customer

Had a take out, started well with fresh popadoms, starters were average, shared a chicken chat and mixed starter, then shared a butter chicken , the curry literally had no taste, very watery and the rice had more taste than the curry. The chicken in it was very small peices and of poor quality, found a bone aswell. We didn’t eat and binned it. Very disappointed as we had heard good reviews about the place. Wouldn’t return unfortunately

Drinks lime and soda very expensive food ok

Was looking forward to the food . The poppadoms were very nice. But the rogan josh was poor. I've had quite alot of rogan josh at different restaurants most taste very nice and similar. This one did not .just tasted like a plain curry with a few bits add. And it was red in colour. All the ones I've had on the past have never been red in colour. Not tasty.

Always amazing service. Food always tastes nice and fresh. Often been here and always left happy. Will be going again as I personally think it's the best place around! Update : Reviewed over 5 years ago .. Still my go to place for a curry. Even when travelling around I find it hard to get one as nice (of course taste is subjective to each individual, but Paanshee does it for me!)

Pre bookings advised food was lovely lots of options for meat eats and vegetarians.

Recently had a chicken dansak takeaway and it was wonderful : beautiful sauce, proper pieces of chicken and a fresh slice of pineapple. Not forgetting the nan bread which was hot and of a perfect consistency and the rice which was light, fluffy and hot. Exceptional value for money.

A party of 12 people for a 50th celebration, food amazing, all arrived together and was all hot and tasty. Have to say was a little worried as there were also two other big parties in at the same time. All I can say, is thank you, we had an amazing night and ate some quality food.

We've been to Paanshee a few times and the food was spot on, original and very tasty. However last night the meals were well below standard. We spent £52 on a family take away, the mains were temp. hot but the rice was cold. All the dishes were tasteless and left water on the plate. It's too expensive to be poor quality so wont be going again.

Went for a meal with a group for a special occasion, they bought the curry's out and left on table for over ten minutes and then the rice followed couldn't get the orders right, totally shocking for the money, definitely won't be going back 😢

Absolutely stunning meal, great service and prices. Quite possibly the best Indian meal we've ever had.Highly recommend the Tandoori mixed grill.

Had a takeout tonight - absolutely faultless - chicken madras, korma, onion rice, mushroom pilau rice and garlic naan - will be back again next month - wouldn’t use anywhere else whilst in the area. Restaurant is spotless. Food allergies/intolerances are well catered for

we Went last night as we are down on holiday Staff were fantastic nothing to much trouble cobra perfectly cold Food was excellent very tasty very large portions,we share a main if we have a starter and still had plenty left over and for under £60 can not fault it 5stars

We have just had THE BEST Indian meal ever and believe me we eat ALOT of Indian food. The staff were fabulous too. Thank you for a lovely evening.

* ALERT * Pre-booking is advised. Wow, the food served here was…… beyond words! Me and my entire family seemed to thoroughly enjoy the way the food was cooked and served. I would also advise everyone to know that the curries served might be a bit spicy for the little ones, so I recommend ordering the mild curries for them. The place was also really kid friendly and considers dietary restrictions. The atmosphere was also really warm. 5/5 would recommend for all the #foodies out there who also enjoyed eating curries.

Good value place at about £100 for 3 for a lot of food. Service was prompt and friendly and the place is pretty comfortable but the food wasn’t great. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good…

Last minute take away. The Restaurant was absolutely heaving but we got our food in good time. Was excited to eat as i always go off how busy somewhere is to chose if im in an area. The food was different class, and hot. One of my annoyances is getting warm food. It was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. If you havent yet….go!!!!

Absolutely love this restaurant, the food is top class, absolutely delicious. The staff are very courteous and attentive. We have tried several other similar restaurants in the Prestatyn area but none come close to the Paanshee.

Stupid customer service. They asked us to order starter, main and rice in one go. Otherwise we won’t get back because they were busy on Saturday. That is pathetic. Chana masala was sweet and they have added coconut powder in there. Manager is rude especially the boss. Won’t recommend

Amazing service, amazing food. Large portions, tasty food served hot. Nothing too much trouble, asked for something not on the menu and they were more than happy to accommodate. Able to share the main course despite other reviews saying this was an issue and the table next to us split the bill again despite other reviews saying that this has been a problem. Staff were great, friendly, and attentive without making you feel rushed, allowing time between courses. Highly recommended and will definitely be back

Probably best to avoid busy Saturday nights. Nice food but the wait time for the meals was not great.

I can see why it has an overall 4 star. It has a good atmosphere, staff are good, and the food is very nice. However, they got 1 of our numbers drink wrong twice, kept giving Gin and tonic instead of Pink gin and lemonade. Food service was very slow, drinks were quick. Little more pricier than most for 4 people.

Allways good food at a good price.

I am from India so can genuinely rate the food which is advertised as Indian. Food was below average, has been asked to collect the food after 40 mins of ordering and again had to wait for 30 more at restuarant. Chana curry that we ordered was sweet and had to throw away (deserts are meant to be sweet not curries), veg Hari Mirch curry was sweet even after requesting to make them spicy... Would never recommend this place and will not try it out myself again..

1 of the best around the area by far, lamb chops and chicken tikka is to die for, and the staff and service if friendly and welcoming, definitely worth a visit

Myself and my family love this place whenever we stay at Pontins. We always go and have a great time. The service is always flawless and my curry was to die for and lots of it too. We asked if i could take the rest away which was no issue at all and I thoroughly enjoyed it the next day. We got complimentary drinks at the end which was a nice touch too. My only criticism is that it was a bit cold because the door was open; no fault of the restaurant, I should have asked for it to be closed. Would definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely fantastic 👏 👌 😋 definitely recommend going here. Staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Naan bread is the best I've tried, as very light and the onion bhaji again are the best I've tried also. Rice was light not sticky.. was Amazing and will definitely go back and soon. Well priced.

Beautiful food, the restaurant is lovely and clean. There was 6 of us 3 adults 3kids. Staff very friendly and service was brilliant they couldn’t do enough for us . I had the tikka masala it was delicious . Would definitely recommend and I will be returning.

We have just had a take away from the Panshee, we have been going for years and always been very happy with the food. Had to post a review this evening as it was of a particularly high standard tonight, so delicious! Saag paneer is the best I’ve ever tried! Can’t wait to order again!

Lovely restaurant good food would recommend

Visited with friends. Was quickly shown a table and given a menu. The servers were not very friendly. Which put a bit of a Debbie downer on the evening. Food was tasty enough. Although the chicken in the mixed starter wasn’t very moist at all. Some say my nans moister. A few too many chunks of lemon grass. I felt like it ruined the meal when I got a mouthful of lemon grass.

Everything was absolutely delicious, mixed starter for 2 mmm , my recommended meal (can't recall name)shaslik something , my wife's tikka massala mmm and plenty left over for my dinner tomorrow. Will definitely be a regular to this restaurant

Genuinely the nicest Indian meal I've ever had (and being an over weight 50 year old I've had quite a few). The food tasted out of this world, It was excellent value for money, friendly and professional staff. Making it an all round fantastic night out. 1000% recommend.

We are staying nearby for the weekend and our host recommended the restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. The food and service were excellent, the staff are really helpful and it had a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend a visit.

I've been to the paanshee quite a lot and have never had a bad meal. Staff are very pleasant and efficient. The only complaint I do have is that you wait around 30 minutes even when there are very few people in there.

Went to this restaurant last night for my friends birthday , there was 4 of us .. staff were lovely .. food was OK .. at the end of our meal I ended up stacking the dishes as it took a long time for them to clear table .. when we got the bill .. we went up individually to pay and there was £30 outstanding .. the man who I think is the owner was extremely rude and initially demanded the money rudely .. we went through what we had and we had paid correctly.. he then said .we can leave and we did .. I don’t know where they got the extra £30 from .. I would not recommend and will never return!!!

This was one of the best restaurants/ services that I have ever experienced. The owner of the restaurant was so amazing and made me and my friends feel so welcome. He offered us the best food and the most amazing service and over all the food as well as the atmosphere was brilliant. The restaurant is very nice and has a nice interior design. We came from Manchester and he treated us like his own. Amazing service, food and people!! Would definitely recommend anyone to dine in!
