Gorgeous Tzatziki and Pitta bread. Also recommend the chicken skewers and Spetsofai. Lovely service off a quiet little side street.

Was looking forward to eating here as I love Greek food. Unfortunately that wasn't what I received,I had the beef stifado,which was bland,the roasted veg much the same.i also ordered the rice which on arrival was easy cook rice,unacceptable. Staff were pleasant,the music was authentic but that was about all.

It's easy to miss or overlook this authentic Greek Taverna even though it is accessible from two small side streets in the Old Town. Extensive menu of cold & hot meze dishes. We started with the cold sharing meze plate which was varied and plentiful. Followed with four hot plates all very typical Greek dishes and excellent.

This is one of the best authentic Greek meals I've had. Service and food was brilliant

I wouldn't order the spanakopita, the filo pastry was rock hard and the contents were tasteless everything else was ok .why we didn't complain we were tired just wanted to eat something

The quality of the food is superb. This is the best Greek food I've eaten and I can say that it was better than what I ate in Greece. Add lovely staff to the mix and this is a winner. Only I in North Wales for a week but 2 visits here. If I lived closer I'd come here regularly

Excellent meal at an excellent restaurant. I had aubergine stuffed wirh Beef Ragu, Chicken Skewers and stuffed vine leafs. The food and atmosphere were authentically Greek. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely place to eat, very chilled atmosphere, no loud music or customers, fab food at reasonable prices, the girls on front of house were brill. Would definately recommend to anybody staying in or around Caernarfon.

Fantastic Greek Restaurant! Definitely pre-book - we were able to get squeezed in and we were not disappointed. Staff were great, atmosphere and decorations were fab. When we visit Caernarfon again, we will be visiting!

We visited here as a large group. We booked beforehand and the team couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious and we enjoyed a long fun filled evening here.

Advise you make a reservation as it was fully booked despite being quite empty

It had been an embarressingly long time since we were last here, and I can't properly explain why. However, very quiet when we walked in, but within 30-45mins it was packed and they were turning people away. So if you're thinking of visiting - BOOK! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food is all "small plates" - aka meze. We tried to order 3 each, but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. It didn't help that we ordered extra houmous, but it was so nice we couldn't help it 🤣. House wine came in 500ml carafes (we had an extra one of those as well). We only had room for 1 sweet between 3 (we'd learnt our lesson by then). All in all, lovely night, food and atmosphere. Promise we won't leave it so long before our next visit.

An excellent night out. The food here tasted so good and was attractively presented. We started with a mixture of cold dishes then beef stifado , calamari and souvlaki.

Great food, not so great concept. I just don't get the Tapas style way of eating and wouldn't really expect it in a Greek restaurant. An option of a "whole" plate of food might be a good option for this restaurant to be more appealing and busier. That said the quality was fantastic. The laminated paper menus and service was a bit amateur too, but friendly.

Fantastic food and service, lovely menu of Greek tapas style food. The restaurant is quite small so booking ahead is definitely advised. The staff are very helpful and friendly, we were a fairly large table and our orders were taken quickly and the food was also quick arriving at our table. Very good quality for a reasonable price, a definite hidden gem in Caernarfon that we try and visit every time we are in the area. Looking forward to returning again next year!

Very traditional Greek food well presented. Even got Mythos and if you want wine it come in the tradional Greek tin mugs you get in every taverna in Greece.

Myself and my partner booked a table at ouzo and olive just to try something different. The food is hands down some of the best food I have ever had in a restaurant. The staff were so friendly and the resturant was beautiful. Would happily come here again.

During a week in Caernarfon, we ate here twice - it's a delightful restaurant with a menu of delicious small Greek-inspired dishes. It makes a nice change from more predictable menus in other restaurants. The staff are young, relaxed and cheerful. Our food came quite quickly, and everything was rich in taste. On both visits the bill was very reasonable. It's a popular place, so best to book. I probably agree with another reviewer that the entrance yard from Palace Street could be made rather more attractive and inviting, but I also suspect that the outer part of it isn't owned by the restaurant.

First time eating here, and was very happy with it. It's best to book, the number of people that turned up without a booking and were turned away, shows the popularity. It's more like a Greek tapas, that restaurant. I would have liked a gyros, but did enjoy my food. Very reasonable priced, and the beers were all a good price, no dearer than the pubs nearby.

OMG, The food here is amazing ! So much choice (mezze) , apolagies for not showing what arrived presentation was so amazing we could not hesitate we dove straight in! All tables are taken here now 2000hrs , so you need to book as we did. Full marks peeps well done very enjoyable evening.

The food in Ouzo & Olive is absolutely lovely. We tasted a wide selection of cold and hot mezze, and every single dish was delectable. The staff were courteous and professional, and all courses were served in a timely fashion. Why then might you ask did I not award 5 stars? I have deducted one star as I feel that the outside courtyard on the approach from Palace Street is severely under utilised. At present it is unloved, untidy and uninviting. Just imagine what could be done with a good clear-out, the addition of a pergola, some seating, a trellis, some plants and fairy lights? C’mon Ouzo & Olive - it would be wonderful!

The Ouzo and Olive welcomes you into a warm atmosphere with a great Greek aesthetic. The service is good and friendly. The food doesn't take long and is excellent, everything tastes fresh, for example Kalamari which is easy to get wrong is perfectly done. Even the bread is fresh and given lots of hearty olive oil. Prices are good and fair, we paid £47 for 5 dishes, 2 drinks (the pims comes with style) and 2 desserts. The desserts were really special. A true gem in our little town of Caernarfon, would recommend. But please make sure you book a table beforehand especially on Saturdays and Fridays.

We visited Ouzo and Olives on Saturday evening as a group of 4 friends. It was the bank holiday weekend and I booked in advance which was needed as they were fully booked. We ordered a selection of hot meze dishes and the food was delicious. Service was quick and the waitresses were very friendly. I would recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Arrived at our booked time to discover an empty restaurant and we wondered if there was a problem or if it was suddenly unpopular but no - we discovered that the chef/owner/manager (not sure which or all three) takes all the bookings and tends to put them all in at the same time and sure enough within 15 mins all bar one table was occupied. One slightly annoying thing was that our waitress f gf Avenue choice of any table set up for 2 and we nearly picked one away from what we thought was the main door (the one we had arrived through) and noticed another door - we thought it was to the kitchen but no - IT WAS THE ORHER MAIN DOOR and she nearly let us have it!! She could have warned us but I’d noticed a table next to a heater and knowing my wife feeling cold a lot we picked it - although the heat was diminishing when people filled the place all the hot air talking warmed us up. We chose 6 dishes between us and and enough - some we liked more than others but it was personal choice I guess and what you like and dislike. One thing though we nearly didn’t order desert and wished we had missed them as the ice cream was flavourless and the baklava was old as it was chewy and not crispy filo and looked tired. Coffee was Greek and small and of course I drank too far and for a mouthful of grounds! So not a pleasant end to a nice day.

Very warm and traditional greek restaurant located in a beautiful place on Wales with excellent and delicious homemade Greek flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant.

A fair few vegan options and friendly attentive waitress but…… teeny sized portions and ridiculous prices for what tasted like tinned dolmades and cheap shop made falafels. The other dishes were minuscule and rather forgettable. If you want to waste £5.50 on a salad i’d recommend the cabbage one which was literally just fine sliced cabbage badly thrown into a bowl with a hint of lemon. Alright if you’re a wealthy mouse that likes a snack. Could be so much better, maybe a little music to give some atmosphere would help too. Note that the online menu is different to the one they offer.

We decided to go in because we see the menu at the door and looked affordable dishes and original. The place was a bit dark, the tables has paper tablecloth. We ordered 5 dishes and Retsina wine. We was surprised when dishes arrived. Hummus was a small bowl with nothin to dip it. Looked nice but not much tasty. Halloumi dish advertised as Greek cheese on a bed of wild was not bed at all. Only three leaves of lamb lettuce, and 8 small fingers of halloumi. A dish that supposed to be beef meet with caramelized onion on wine was a tiny 3 pieces of beef with a few pieces of onion with no flavor at all. Definitely the worst of all. It cost 7£ and it would be better to went McDonalds and buy a burger. We ordered pitta bread and no taste at all. No flavor, was quite dried, and definitely not fresh baked. In 1 minute was hard as a stone. Feta cheese covered with filo pastry was the best. But does not save the dinner. We paid 36£ and when we go out we was still hungry. I would like to inform that me and my wife does not eat much specially at dinner time. Obviously, we will not return and will not recommend the restaurant. We travel often and visit a lot of restaurants and this is a forgettable one

Food was excellent but our waitress was rude. When asking if the rosé wine was dry or not she said 'how would I know, I'm not allowed to drink whilst working' and we got the same response when we asked if we'd ordered enough dishes for six people or not. I've never been to a restaurant where the waiting staff weren't willing to answer pretty simple questions about what we were ordering, or at least willing to try to help us! Very bizarre but at least the food was tasty, especially the cold mezze platter.

Brilliant evening at a great Greek Restaurant. A great owner/chef who is Greek and clearly knows genuine Greek flavours. We had the Meze and it was all delicious. Returning the next night for more Greek hospitality as we can't go to our favourite island -Lesvos - at the moment. Recommended!

Everywhere really busy in Caernarfon on Friday in mid December. Always tricky for a wedding anniversary meal but this place was quiet. Food was great, mezze with interesting tasty dishes. Atmosphere maybe a little lacking but we had a nice meal.

We chose primarily vegetarian mezes, a mixture of hot and cold ones and the food was really very good. The restaurant was empty, presumably because of the time of year but deserves to be packed out based on our experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to return
