Ousia in Haringey

Si bien la comida aquí era buena, el servicio al azar realmente nos dejó decepcionados y con una impresión negativa de Ousia. Las bebidas equivocadas fueron llevadas a la mesa, el servidor que tomó nuestro pedido regresó repetidamente para confirmar nuestro pedido, lo que nos hizo sentir que no estaba escuchando, "especiales" fueron sustituidos sin ningún intento de comunicar artículos que se "agotaron" y varios platos fueron sacados sin explicación. Si bien entiendo el concepto de "platos pequeños" y que a menudo se sirven como listos, realmente no era aceptable que hubiera un intervalo de veinte minutos en el que solo un miembro de nuestro partido tuviera comida. La ensalada que se pidió como acompañamiento de la red apareció como un entrante, dos tipos de entrantes de calabacín se trajeron quince minutos de diferencia - simplemente parecía desorganizado y dada la conversación en otras mesas no estaban solos. Estábamos emocionados de descubrir Ousia y esperamos una cena con amigos, pero desafortunadamente nos decepcionó una sensación general de falta de cuidado. El personal era amable, pero simplemente insuficiente atención.

Perfect for intimate dinner. Haven't been to a better greek restaurant in North London. Have been to the famous West End Ousia restaurant but think think Muswell Hill is probably better overall.

Really fresh well made and beautifully presented authentic greek dishes with a service to match. Ambience and vibe was well balanced for the variety of diners during our evening out with friends.

What a find! Amazing food. Super friendly staff. Slightly don't want to tell anyone how amazing this place is but praise is well deserved!

The food is absolutely delicious, the menu is varied, not the standard Greek you find anywhere else, the service is excellent and the price is fair. Really recommended!

Excellent service and warm welcome. well balanced menu selection of meat, fish and vegetarian. The complimentary offering of crudités need to be either bulked up and dressed or eliminated. We started with dips, white cod roe taramasalata unique and delicious, houmous and aubergine were slightly under seasoned but that’s my preference. Courgette and feta fritters were a nice alternative to spanakopita but couldn’t really taste the feta. Octopus and calamari were good and with a side of fresh village salad and Cyprus potato chips made for an enjoyable main course. Unfortunately, my dessert was not fresh and although I finished it I was disappointed. The bill was quite steep (£95 for 2) considering we didn’t order any alcohol; had the meal been excellent (and with a few tweaks it could have been) I would pay it again but without dessert. I would also suggest slightly larger tables, the menu is designed to order small plates but there isn’t enough room for them - at one point we had to give back the pitta bread without finishing it!

A fantastic new (ish) restaurant in Muswell Hill. They opened in January 23, but this was the first time we went. Everything about the restaurant was excellent. The service could not have been more helpful or charming and exactly what you want from a local restaurant (neither slow or rushed). The food was absolutely delicious, especially the kefalograviera saganaki, octopodi and halloumi dishes. The Greek-Cypriot wines turned out much better than we expected, a very pleasant surprise. All in all, excellent and we definitely won’t wait so long before returning. Recommended!

What an absolutely lovely restaurant. A good menu with lots of options for all tastes, and the food was very good. We especially loved the Saganaki (which we had enjoyed in Greece in the past) and would highly recommend at Ousia. The chicken souvlaki and moussaka were also superb, and the food overall was reasonably priced. Service was unusually good - attentive without being intrusive, helpful but unpressurised, and, as it turned out, incredibly kind. Just as we were leaving one of my family fainted (due to a health condition that was totally unrelated to the restaurant) and the staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful - they were just lovely, even calling us the next day to check he was ok. We will definitely be back at Ousia soon, hopefully with no more drama :-) A great addition to Muswell Hill. Thank you!

Great quality food and authentically sourced ingredients. Friendly service and polite staff. Turn up the Greek music a little bit please!?

Lovely food, saganaki particularly good. Good hospitality and service. Not on the main drag off Muswell Hill Broadway though so a bit hidden to the casual visitor to Muswell Hill, but worth walking a bit up Fortis Green Road to find. It was very quiet on a Saturday lunchtime so word isn't yet out obviously. Plenty of veggie options but perhaps less for vegans. Great addition to the area.

Needs improvement We were so happy to have a new restaurant open in Muswell Hill and went to try it last night. The service leaves much to be desired. Ordered a glass of white wine which eventually came but wasn’t cold enough or as expected. Sent it back only to wait until reminded for a replacement- asked for a house white which was cheaper at £8 but this too was not cold. I was poured a drop and was told it would be put on ice and then topped up. In the meantime the food arrived and my wine wasn’t replenished until I reminded them by which point the meal was finished Food was fine but a little underwhelming. There was no apology no deduction and were even charged for service. Not sure that we will be giving Ousia out custom again.
