Mums Bistro is the most perfect place. It provided the best birthday party I have ever had. My children and grandchildren, shared my enjoyment of the fabulous music and live singing by the resident musician, as well as partaking themselves in karaoke and dancing. Endless delicious mediterranean dishes culminated three hours later with the exquisite birthday cake. I would recommend Mums Bistro for all ages, for parties, or simply a delicious meal out. My heartfelt thanks to my son who found the restaurant and my family who participted and conributed to the best birthday party I ever had!

Fabulous meal there earlier this week. The meze selection was fantastic, everything fresh and very tasty and the staff were charming. Felt like you were with family!

Food was pretty good, But it was cold.... I think they did this maybe because they didnt want to microwave my food(which i appreciate) however wish i wasnt informed it was going to be cold at least, however i did ask for takeaway. Would like to visit on another day and explore it a bit more, Staff .. Very friendly and welcoming. Would visit again.

Posting on behalf of someone else who is unable to use internet. Dined with a group on Saturday evening. Poor service, forgotten orders, 1 hour wait. Food arrived, tasteless chicken, couldn’t eat it. Other diners in the group with over greasy food. Warm rose wine. Neighbouring table also had plates of abandoned dishes. Waiting staff sat around chatting. No ambience. Eat out often, but wont return here.

Had a lovely, tasty greek pasta bake with a salad and chips. A nice place to meet up with friends and have a meal and a chat.

No Salad came. Just Meat and Rice. No Pitta Bread or sauces? Delivery guy went a long way around to get to me! Felt disappointed.

The owner was very kind and friendly.

Waiter/manager/maitre d or whatever his role is not able to do his job sadly - disorganised, couldn’t listen to requests, and then shouted at one of our party because they queried something about the food - kept shouting silencing the whole restaurant no apology , just then served by a sullen waitress. We had to ask for water, ask for wine glasses. They were overstretched and disorganised Never returning although food was good.

The owner is one of the friendliest people I have ever met! The restaurant has a lovely cozy vibe and the menu caters to most tastes. I had a vegan meal which was super tasty and the amount of food was very generous. I will definitely go back again!

saturday nights are greek night at this place. i had a good enjoyable night to see in the new year at this place 2024. meze is available which was ok. the live greek music was good. alcohol is very cheap here also. all in all a good new years eve. there is space for all you greek show offs to do your dancing.

I've lived near here for years, we were walking past when Roger dragged us in... A quick drink we thought. Countless drinks, getting up to sing karaoke multiple times and dancing till the early hours followed. This place is magical, you feel part of the family, not only a great evening but an escape from London itself

Overpriced, crowded and overall nothing good about it. I waited over an hour for my main, it came out cold, dry and tough. (Chicken shish)

Really disappointed, have enjoyed meals from here before. The pastitsio was really dry and bland and the greek salad only contained 2 tiny pieces of feta.

When we arrived the door was closed and we thought they wouldn't serve and then a guy showed up and opened the door for us. It was a bit weird. Then we came in and tried to find something to eat. My friend was vegan and we could not find anything for her on the menu although the Greek cuisine has a variety of vegan options. After we ordered the same guy kept coming to ask if we wanted to drink something or eat any dessert. We quickly ate and left.

Very close to the train station. A classic club of Greek origin, where you can listen to live music and singers. I tried some chicken and pork mix with rice plus another mushroom dish, a fresh watermelon and a cider. The cooking of the dish was perfect, the quality of the ingredients excellent. A very friendly environment.

This place really is a little gem. Great food and even better service. Quite surprising as we walked in looking around was like a throwback to a badly decorated restaurant back in the 80’s. The owners waist coat to match the decor and some rather outlandish guests. What a place! I’ll be back for the live music and food!

Went in for a too good to go bag, came out feeling such warm from the kindness of this family, the older man in particular what a lovely guy! Also the food is lovely home cooked style, will definitely visit again when I’m next in London!

We went there on a Saturday night with friends and family to celebrate my birthday. It was absolutely amazing. The live Greek band were outstanding. Meze was excellent and plentiful. We danced until the early hours. This place is like a Cyprus taverna, home from home. The owner is so very hospital and friendly. Every single one of the 22 people in my party had a great time, thoroughly enjoyed the meze which was plentiful and loved the live band. I would definitely recommend and would definitely go again. Very family friendly. I cannot praise it enough. The atmosphere is wonderful!

We never ate there but one evening last month we were told to go and wait there, which we did the staff and the owners made us feel part of their family, looking at the meals on other tables was making all three of us very hungry, so much we agreed that we would go back, but while we were there the mother came and asked if we were OK and pointed to her boys and her husband, yes we will go back.

Restaurant called to say food was ready but driver didn’t turn up yet. Food was still delivered on-time and still hot. Mixed kebabs were lovely and well seasoned. All came packed as requested, separate Greek salad, meat, rice and pitta was sliced into small dipping strips.

Five of us visited for Sunday lunch. We had a lovely meal of meze and could not believe the amount of food that kept on coming and coming. Portions were huge, extremely tasty and clearly home-made. We were treated like honoured guests by the charming host and hostess who made us feel extremely welcome, as though in their own home. As the token vegetarian, I was treated with complete courtesy and given my own portion of a spectacularly good vegetable moussaka. “Mum” spent a good few minutes with me, at my request, after the meal, explaining her chef’s tips. Our host was genial and delightful, too. The bill was ridiculously cheap, given the number and size of the portions and the various drinks. We took away the remainder of the food, at our host’s request. He hates to see anything go to waste. There was enough for another good lunch for two. We shall be back. I’m looking forward to it again, already.

The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious I will definitely go back there again.

last week, we went as a group of 12 to Mums Bistro. The place was bussing with other couples, a couple of singles and another group of people. The members of staff were very polite, with genuine smiles on their faces. The 2 chef's visited us during the meal to see if we needed anything extra or if everything was ok. I'm half Cypriot Greek and the food was exactly as my grandmother used to make - absolutely deliciously superb and all home made. Apparently they have Karaoke and belly dancing nights but we only had Greek music The quantities were huge and some of us had 'doggie bags' when we left. Mums was inexpensive and definitely value for money. I am looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend it.

Very delicious! I was only a little confused by the pictures. The mains are presented with rice and salad. There is no description if this is included in the meal, however, the kebab came with those but not the moussaka. Worth ordering again!

I’m afraid a couple of pieces of the chicken were not cooked, pork was underdone , didn’t have one of the items which they informed me of but still got charged and rest of the food was just about warm . Shame cause pastichio taste was nice.

A very pleasant, understated, cozy place. We had a warm welcome and the owner took care of every guest. The food was very tasty, tasty, served in sufficient quantities and at the right temperature. We found this place by chance, but I recommend it to everyone who is in the area. Thank you !

Authentic, delicious, best rice ever! Feels like a friendly, charming, family-run place.

Apparently this is a meat dish. £10 worth of food from Too Good to Go. Literally half a chicken WING is in there. HALF a chicken WING . It’s just an insult. Stone cold too. Straight out of the fridge. What are they thinking. I wanted to test their food, thinking of doing a family function there. No chance now. Very silly thing to do. HALF A WING!!!!

I went to collect 2 meals from them, while waiting the owner offered me a free glass of juice, very friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere.

The atmosphere is brilliant. Very fun and welcoming staff. I had sea bass and it was easily the best cooked of fish I had in a while. Highly recommended. P. S: IF you visit it on weekend, there is normally open mic day

Warm, welcoming family run restaurant - beautifully prepared favourites and proper Greek BBQ - the ingredients are so fresh (even the squid rings are from fresh!) and the flavours are so authentic - such a vibrant lovely local. They have live music on weekends too!

The BEST Greek restaurant around! LOVE the food, excellent value for money, and the staff are warm, friendly, lovely and kind! I’m never disappointed when I visit Mum’s Bistro! I’ve been a long standing customer and won’t go to any other Greek restaurants as this is the BEST!

The moment I walked into Mum's Bistro I could feel the warm and festive atmosphere, and knew I had come to a special place. The cosy room was filled with happy conversation, and the kind of  gentle and all-inclusive buzz that one feels when joining a family gathering. It was a cold night, and the slightly exotic, inviting smell of delicious food was a balm to my senses. I had come to Mum's for an evening of music, dished up by one of the very best folk organizations in London - The Bowes Park Folk Club. I was told to order my supper at the bar, and when I met the charming patron and his wife, the whole picture came together. Mum's Bistro is clearly a place where food is cooked and served with expertise, joy and love. No wonder it tasted absolutely delicious. Mums' Bistro is more than a wonderful restaurant - it's a complete experience, not to be missed.

The food is simple and nice, wine is rich and pleasant; perfect chicken and lamb, exactly what one would expect from a dish made at home with kind hands. The bistro owners - a wonderful married couple, and their bar man are very good people, they went out of their way to make the experience of being in the bistro personal and happy. It felt like being a part of a large Cypriot family. Definitely coming back.

Brilliant. Went with my wife tonight (Saturday 20th November) and it was Greek night and it was honestly better than all the times I've been to Cyprus and the Greek Islands. Live Greek music, great food, Greek Cypriot crowd with the ladies dancing and cheap to boot. Meze for two with soft drinks and Keo beers =£64. My double Ouzo and lemonade was on the house. Better than the local competition. Recommended absolutely.

Yes it's a local business, they are friendly, and were supposed to support it, but the food is reheated and bland and the whole place is tired so I won't be visiting again.

Wonderful Cypriot style cooking at it's best. Mum greets you when you arrive and does the business with all her home cook dishes. Staff, service and entertainment excellent.

Most dishes are good and I like the selection. They often have entertainment too. I go there for meals, or just a drink and snack.

They're very lovely people, and it's clearly a fun venue for retirees. The food is cafeteria quality. Uninspiring. I did sample it through Too Good To Go, so it isn't the best the restaurant has to offer, however, it definitely wasn't good. I feel sorry, because they were really nice, and tried to accommodate, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're interested in the quality of your food. Also, they use Styrofoam packaging. I am sure if you bring your own Tupperware they'll be happy to use that instead.

I came here to collect an order from "togoodtogo". From the moment my wife and I put a foot in the little restaurant, we were warmly welcomed. The owner started talking to us, and we felt this kind of warm/family hospitality we normally miss in this country. Food was delicious, the cheff was explaining to us how to serve it and I think this is the kind of places we are can't afford to loose.

Enjoyed the delicious new wrap Mum's Bistro has launched. It was perfect for lunch! The food is always incredible here and the owners are so lovely and welcoming. My personal favourite for dinner is the kleftiko, it is a must try and becoming a bit of a lockdown habit!!

Being half Greek Cypriot myself I have high standards when it comes to Greek food, this did not disappoint! Staff are lovely and very friendly. Highly recommend!

I’ve never been to this restaurant before, but I got a last minute lockdown take away from them. The couple running it were so kind and friendly, offering me a drink while I waited for the food cooked fresh for me. We had a vegetarian moussaka and rice and chicken kebab, which were very tasty, and the salad was lovely and fresh. Looking forward to when it’s open again and I can go for a sit down meal!
