Orient Express Kebab in Lambeth

I came here late night and the service I got was well tailored and kind. The owners are generous and the food was what we wanted at this time of night. There are not many other places open as late in Leyton, but I would say that this is a place you should try.

Love this kebab shop. Very clean and the food is fresh and delicious. The chef has worked there for years and is very accommodating and polite. Great chili sauce.

Been using Orient express for many years and still has some original staff there. The food is delicious fresh and tasty.

I ordered two lamb shish to be delivered. Unfortunately they only sent one and one chicken and chips. This is obviously not a huge problem as I thought I could just call them and get it changed. However when I called the man refused to believe that they sent the wrong thing, called me a liar and hung up on me. Food was good and the only reason tuis isn’t a 1 star review.

I rarely leave TripAdvisor reviews as you'll see from my profile but I felt compelled to do so after eating a lamb shish kebab at Orient Express. The chili sauce is homemade and it is absolutely amazing, the meat was high quality and full of flavour. I really hope this place becomes a chain with an Orient Express in every town as I need it in my life.

Thats for sure. Not even in turkey you can find this quality. Amazing outstanding place .. Wonder why it has be running for more than 30 years. Just a clasic you have to try.

This is by far the best kebab house. Meat is so fresh, salads all fresh desserts all fresh and service excellent. Always spotless and very clean.

Spotlessly clean. We usually go for the lamb shish which is always succulent and perfectly seasoned. They're very friendly and often throw in an extra or two.

Love the chicken shish and salad they sell, my partner and I regularly stop by for something quick and healthy (for a take-away). The food is cheap, delicious and the shop is always clean!

I be been twise there, i come in, they switch on the meat..- its terrible! It shoild be always on! The place is disgusting, dirty and no hyegine at all

Never ever will I buy food from here again. The chips were like wood and had clearly been warmed up again after probably sitting there all day. And the burger was very greasy and oily. Would not recommend!

Chicken shish kebabs are the best, lots of salad and the best chilli sauce. Seems expensive, but lots of chicken, very tender and well seasoned.

I've been a regular at Orient Express for about 4 years and I can't say I've ever been disappointed with the food I've received. Their shish kebabs are hand produced onsite, and all the marinades (and chilli sauce) are home made too. The meat is always tender and moist after grilling, and portions are generous. Probably as a regular I've also experienced their generosity, literally in the form of little 'extras' every once in a while. Even if it's just a little pot of humous, it's a lovely surprise! The only downside is, I wouldn't recommend eating in. They do have tables (with magazines & newspapers to read) but it's still a kebab shop at the end of the day. People hover around waiting for their food etc but get your food to go! You won't regret it.
