Oor Wullie's Braw Fish & Chips in Aberdeen City

Received a message to say it was ready for collection, but it still wasn’t ready when I arrived

An hour more than expected and couldn’t cancel. Phoned the takeaway premises and was advised driver hadn’t turned up despite app saying the driver had been there for 40 mins approx. Terrible service today.

Respect to the delivery guy he climbed up 9 flights of stairs. 5 stars

Food was delicious however, was told to pick up at 5:35pm and did not get food until 6pm

Don’t pre order with Just Eat. When I arrived at collection time food not ready, order processed when I arrived and added to queue of orders waiting - no point pre ordering. Was not the only person this happened to.

Cracking wee chippy in Aberdeen, even has seating outside. They serve a braw fish supper.

Utilizamos esta tienda de chips lo más cercano a nuestra casa, cuando la familia se aloja entre Navidad y Año Nuevo. No estaba claro a dónde los clientes no habituales queríamos pedir, el personal antipático, sin sonrisas, patatas fritas. Probaremos una alternativa en el futuro.

Fue puramente por la comida vegana, luego dijeron que “explotó” mientras la cocinaban y que pasarían más de 20 minutos para que hicieran otra. Tengo una salchicha vegana en su lugar y es básicamente una salchicha de estilo congelado estándar de la ciénaga pobre. Las patatas fritas estaban frías y apenas cocidas. Completa pérdida de dinero y una cena.

Delivery time changed several times, from 15-20 minutes to well over an hour. Arrived cold.

The food is fairly good but a two hour wait for a takeaway? I literally stay 200 yards away… Anyway, don’t like slaughtering anywhere hence the rating, and I will be back, but hope that improves!

text message at 17.48 to say order was ready for collection. ordered for 18.00. the place was busy but I ordered for collection at a certain time, it's now 18.21 and just got my order. what's the point in ordering for a specific time if it's not going to be ready?

I am a delivery driver and have picked up from numerous restaurants, but my experience with this establishment has been consistently disappointing. Unlike other restaurants, they do not allow delivery drivers to enter through the main entrance. Instead, we are forced to go to the back entrance and stand outside, often in the cold or rain, right next to the trash bins. Even after pressing the bell, the staff takes an unnecessarily long time to respond. When they do finally show up, they are rude and dismissive, often telling us to "wait or cancel." This has happened every single time I’ve picked up from here, which shows a complete lack of respect for delivery drivers. This behavior is unprofessional and unnecessary, especially compared to the respectful treatment I receive at every other restaurant. I strongly urge the management to reconsider their policies and attitude toward drivers.

10-15 late, delivery driver seemed to wondering around every other part of the street several times twice and bit to my building , so ended up going to look for him. Did leave restaurant a nite asking for lots of salt and vinegar but unfortunately it came without either. Other than that, very nicely cooked

Shocking orders large fish supper and regular fish supper. Both had same size of fish (1 fish) and same amount of chips, so av been robbed. staff throwing the orders on the counter as if they don't want to be there. Spent more money on a large to recive the same quantity as the regular.

Impactante, pide cena de pescado grande y cena de pescado regular. Pagué extra por grandes pero es la misma cantidad que la regular, solo tengo 1 pescado en cada una y la misma cantidad de papas fritas.

Excellent food reasonable cost value for money

I think the delivery driver got lost as it took more than 1 1/2 hrs to arrive and the whole meal was cold - will not be using them again unless they sort things out

I was told that the order would take 35-55 minutes and it took over TWO hours. If I had been told it would have taken longer I would have simply ordered elsewhere, no worries. When my order finally arrived the drink was missing ???

Fish was overdone. chips underdone. Shame because usually very good.

Placed an order waited over 2 hours for it with the delivery time getting pushed back and pushed back for the order to then be cancelled. What an absolute waste of my time will never order from here again service is a joke thanks for that been left with no food after waiting over 2 hours

Complete shambles wrong order delivered when I called to tell them they told me my order was sitting there wait over 1 hour and still no delivery. I called again and they told me to call just eat will not be using them again.

Ordered at 5:40pm - told to collect at 6pm. Was there - got a notification at 5:57pm saying ready for collection. Collected eventually at 6:30pm.. nearly an hour after!!

Had no service from this place today. I was told rather rudely to go round the corner to place my order; when I did, all four women staff just ignored me and kept talking amongst themselves. I just left and went to the Ashvale where I got excellent service.

I always ask for the fish to be breaded because the batter sticks to the paper on the bottom of the box and you always put the fish in first. Fish is destroyed because request was ignored. :(

Great wee chipper, always stop by every week or so for a jumbo sausage supper on the way to work in the evenings.. right fine!

A menudo compramos pescado con papas fritas desde aquí. La comida es generalmente muy buena. El lugar es decepcionado por un sistema caótico después de hacer su pedido. Se requiere mucha espera y hoy (no es la primera vez) llegué a casa con la comida familiar solo para descubrir que el asistente había olvidado una vez más algo de la orden. ¡Imagina la decepción de no recibir lo que habíamos pagado y que alguien no obtuviera su comida especialmente después de la larga espera! No se proporcionan recibos, así que no veo cómo puedo recuperar mi dinero en el artículo que falta. Ahora iremos a otra parte por nuestro fish and chips; un chippy que es eficiente y mejor organizado.

Order was an hour and a half late. Really not happy, I have two kids. 6 and 9 who were having to wait this long for food.eventually arriving at 2135. If I had known it would have taken so long I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere where.

fish was excellent, other mains were good. Chips were hard and tasted like old chips. Curry sauce was cold. Very unusual for food to not be excellent as it usually is.

Driver was very polite and smiled, waited for me as have crutches . Really lovely food was really good and fresh. would highly recommended

Last time I checked a supper came with chips but I must’ve missed something, maybe the cost of living crisis because they also forgot to add the salt & vinegar I specifically asked for maybe they should focus more on getting the orders right & not the fancy packaging. Nice personalised box Margaret maybe put the right food inside next time though. Phoned the shop & might as well have spoken to the cats, atleast they would’ve listened. The food was hot

Owner decided to have delivery app customers collect their food from “round the back”, conveniently, where the bins are. I refused to stand by the trash with my delivery bag and decided this delivery and this shop “wasn’t a good fit for my standards” and cancelled the order. When I left, the owner comes running up to my car hammering on the window with his fist as I was already driving away. A rather silly move if you ask me. When I stopped he began yelling at me for which I said “I no longer wish to deliver the food”. Had to call the police. See the owners response below? It’s a lie. Would you buy chips and feed yourself or your family from a guy who made a mistake, looked foolish and then lied to cover up his inappropriate actions? The same guy who wanted delivery drivers to wait by the bins for delivery orders?…. I’ll let you ponder that one over while I leave.

Very smallportions of chips in your supper. Bit disappointing. Don't like the oil it's cooked in but that's just my taste. Others seem to love it.

Dried up scragg ends of chips. Fish tastes like it had been fried days ago. Much better places to go in Aberdeen. Give this place a miss

Received a text at 6pm advising that our food was ready to collect. My little girl and I arrived then waited an additional 30 minutes in the shop, receiving our meal at 18:30 and only after prompting the staff.

Very disappointed. Arrived at about 7pm and ordered a standard haddock supper. Service was quick. Too quick. The fish was pre-cooked and stored in a box in a side room. Chips and I was out. I get home and the fish is overcooked and the batter is a grey and not cooked where it sits on the fish. Shal not be returning. Shame.
