We had the most amazing rustic afternoon tea today. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff really looked after us and kept topping up the unlimited tea/ coffee. Will definitely be going back again.

This is our go-to place when booking in a celebratory afternoon tea, anywhere else we’ve been to just doesn’t compare. Over time we’ve done most variations of the ‘afternoon tea style’ menus Fiddlesticks has to offer, and all are absolutely delicious. The food is hot, fresh and tasty. Cakes are amazing. We’ve visited for breakfast on occasion, which is also recommended!

Took my nephew for a milkshake and I had coffee. I ordered and paid took a seat. While waiting my nephew wanted a muffin. I went to the counter to order the guy behind the counter was doing the milkshake. I could see that my coffee was on the side. I ordered muffin but the guy wanted to charged me again for the drinks that I had already paid for. When the drinks finally arrived my coffee was luke warm. Not the best experience shame. Looks like trying one of the other coffee shops in the village.

Oh Flopping Fiddlesticks prepared us the most amazing take out buffet for our family birthday celebration this weekend. Everything was freshly prepared, lovingly packaged and tasted absolutely delicious. It was almost all homemade and sooo plentiful. We were really pleased with the quality and quantity provided at a really fair price. It massively contributed to the ‘specialness’ of the day - and was a major cut above your average buffet 😊

Met up with the family to celebrate our birthdays. First visit here and loved it. Variety, tasty and great friendly service. The food is great, no corners cut, Plenty to choose from both sweet and savoury. Generous portions and soooo tasty. It’s not often it looks and tastes equally good. If you prefer home baked/cooked then you will love it here. They also serve the best milkshakes- forget McDonald’s these will knock your head off. All this served by warm and friendly people. Don’t think there is much else you could wish for- try it for yourself but remember to take a bit extra cash for the cakes you will want to take home with you

We booked in for a girly lunch (plus my 15 month old son) & booked the everyday Ploughman's Platters. They were absolutely beautiful, they didn't last long! The sticky potatoes & sausages were just delicious and complimented the rest of the platter perfectly. The staff were more than happy to do a jam sandwich for my little boy which came on lovely soft thick bread & he loved it. We are already planning another visit & can't wait to come back!

Amazing food, all cooked from fresh. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they tailor your breakfast choices easily. I cannot explain the taste of individual items on the breakfast, you can just taste the freshness and effort into the cooking. There were 12 of us eating for a birthday and the staff made it personal for us without any issues. 10 out of 10 for me and this shop is a hidden gem in the heart of Gornal. Will definitely return!

Came here with my partner for a birthday breakfast and it did not disappoint! We sat in the garden, and boy is it such a sun trap! You wouldn’t think you were in the middle of Gornal. My partner had a traditional breakfast and I had an eggs Benedict, both of us were not only blown away from the amount of food but also the taste. Also, their coffee is the best in Gornal. You won’t get a better latte!

We visited for breakfast with friends on a Saturday morning. It's fair to say we're a group of fairly picky eaters, however, the staff were more than happy to accommodate our changes, even creating a new dish on the fly. All the dishes were amazing, and we were made to feel very welcome. We'll definitely be back soon! Thanks so much!!

We were gifted to an afternoon tea voucher & used it today - & what a treat it was! Great service started from the friendly phone booking, to us arriving slightly late - we were told 'not a problem' when we called ahead, to the setting & then the food itself! Best good old fashioned pot of tea, warm pan fried chicken sarnies (omg we we weren't expecting that)! Cheese sarnies & ham on soft fresh thickly sliced bread; a 'vintage' salad took us back to days we visited our nans' houses alongside with a 'usual' salad also. The best home made sausage rolls we've ever tasted, crisps & pastries to dip in a chilli jam! We thought we were done - but no, we were then told we had scones & clotted cream & cake still to go! Those scones - best we have ever had anywhere; we took our large slices of cake (our choice) home with us - again - the best!! If you like vintage, cosy, clean, food freshly prepared & presented beautifully, then take yourself along to 'Flopping Fiddlesticks' in Gornal!! 10/10

Michelle provided a buffet for 20 ppl that included sandwiches, quiches, sausage pin-wheels, savoury pastries, sausages, cakes, scones and various sides. The quality is top notch as everything is cooked in-house, including the chicken for the sandwiches! We would not hesitate to use Michelle again and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Communication was excellent and very friendly and accommodating.

Me, my wife and my 2 year old son went a few weeks ago after being referred by a friend. Can honestly say I’ve never even heard of Gornal, this lovely little shop in the middle of a high street is embracing from the minute you walk in and the staff were so lovely. The lady in the kitchen even came to check in and see how the food was. Will 100% be going back again!

It's the first time I have called here. I try to avoid the usual cafes like Cafe Nero et Al. Anyway, good coffee and a great bacon sandwich. It has an eclectic interior which is nice. I hope it survives. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Call in and try it.
