Oddono's in Camden

I've been quite patient with Oddono's as on occasion there are good flavours however with recent poor hygiene frequently observed, I think they need to get their act together. Aside from two manager figures and one male staff (more on him later), Oddono's seem to have a revolving door of poorly trained and certainly poorly groomed (think unbathed) staff, which could account for what I have observed: - There was a female staff (no longer there) who would routinely let ice cream from one flavour fall into another tub. When I pointed this out to the supervisor, she became very defensive and pointed to some disclaimer wording and basically said they took no responsibility for anyone getting allergens in their ice cream. What a wasted teaching moment for the member of staff with the poor scooping skills. - Oddono's routinely fail to challenge dog owners who bring their animals in, even though there is a sign and even though none of those dogs are guide dogs. Yes, that is the typical entitled Hampsteader for you, but if you are in the food business, you should be careful about hygiene. - Back to the sole male staff. I once overheard him bragging to his colleagues that he never washed his apron and it had become "filthy". That's not the only thing he's not washing as he doesn't smell very nice - and that's with me keeping a safe distance knowing his apron is "filthy". - Earlier this week during my visit, the tables had not been wiped from the night before and there was mud traaked ON THE SEATS. I asked if it was dogs and the server said it was "kids". Yes, clearly the kids of entitled Hampsteaders who were happy to let their brats crawl all over a dining area tracking mud from the Heath. - Very occasionally I see handwashing amongst the staff . This week the server used around a dozen small serviettes to wipe her hands dry. Goes to show they don't even have a hand dry cleaning cloth and what unnecessarily wasteful use of resources!

Delicious Gelato, love the mango sorbet, but all gelato is delicious, the staff are also very friendly

Hospitable staff, Competitive prices and great quality ice cream sealed the deal for me. I Will recommend, don't go to Venchi, it's a rip-off.

Great ice cream shop with a wide range of flavours. It’s a good price too. I love the pistachio and hazelnut ice cream.

This is easy. Italian Gelato of high quality with all ingredients it should have. There are pistachios in pistachio ice cream, hazelnuts in hazelnut etc. Very dangerous to have it so close to home. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I come here on a regular basis and I don’t mind to que behind all the crowd of people because it’s a proof that this place rocks! I have my favourite flavours and I would eat your coffee and pistachio all my life.

Friendly staff and heavenly mango sorbet. At oddonos you get real Italian gelato, not cheap ice cream

Was brought here by google maps on a hot Sunday. There was a bit of a line outside so I thought this must be good. And it was. The price was pretty good for a medium which is actually quite a big cone with 2 scoops (£3.80) Taste was excellent. This is actually one of the cheapest ice cream places in London at this very good level of quality.

We visited on a hot day so there was a queue but it moved reasonably quickly (far more so than the crepes around the corner we found) and the quality of the ice cream and sorbet was very good. Cones are proper waffle cones. Waffles can also be bought although these aren’t made fresh but are microwaved from a packet which is a little disappointing.

Piccola gelateria in un vicoletto di Hampstead, a pochi metri da un Venchi ma chilometri più avanti per bontà. Foresta nera, sorbetto di fragola, biscotto, cioccolata, tutti gusti buonissimi. Consigliato davvero.

I come here every summer and it is always great- would recommend. Queues can be quite long on a hot day but definitely worth it.

Wouldn’t accept Northern Irish sterling £20 note. Explained that it was legal tender. No negotiation whatsoever. Staff refused to get manager to come and speak to us. Disappointingly ignorant. Ice cream was nice but tainted by dreadful service. Ombudsman informed.

They have dulce de leche and other non traditional flavours sometimes. Goood quality/ price. Try it!

Had just had a lovely walk acroos Golder's green park and treated ourselves to the wonderful gelato at Oddono's. Texture was fantastic with every mouthful putting a smile on my face. Limited selection of flavours at this outlet, but enough to satisfy our little group. If you're in the area and get a craving, definitely pop in.

Being Italian means to have high expectations about gelato and this place is actually quite good! I tried nocciola and bacio on the cone, the price are okay compared to the quantity and the quality

Must try gelato, our favourite is pistachio. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly. They always help to choose the nicest one for our daughter.

Oddono's ice cream is sublime -- a great find in London, friendly, long working hours, some imaginative flavours.

I called in to pick up a gelato and drink, sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed my short pitstop - so much nicer than stopping at a chain coffee shop! Very close to Hampstead tube and the outdoor seating on cute little Flask Walk is a handy spot to stop if you've got luggage, a pushchair or the weather is nice...

Been here many times and always had fantastic ice cream. My kids often ask to try flavours whilst queuing and the staff are very patient in facilitating this. For Hampstead the prices are reasonable especially compared to the place over the road with its chocolate fountain. This is a regular Friday treat for us - thanks Mr/s Odono !

Well, you have not lived till you have an Oddono lick! they sure are the best of the best when it comes to any icecream. I get take away icecreams on a regular basis and it disappears faster than one could say Oddono

Tuvimos la suerte de poder visitar esta heladería muy a menudo y nunca nos ha decepcionado. Todos los helados recién hechos en el lugar. Junto al excelente lo básico siempre hay un sabor de la semana, lo cual es a menudo estacional. Mi favorito era panettone helado en invierno eso realmente no incluyen algunos panettone en la mezcla y los higos y crema en el verano que tiene toda la crema de higos caramelised. El personal es simplemente maravilloso y mantener alegre incluso en días con largas colas de niños después de la escuela. Intentamos ir por las noches. . Con algunos de los italianos en la familia, puedo decir que realmente compite con Oddono gelaterie en Italia.

Otro de nuestros favoritos en Hampstead. Los sabores de helado que probamos estaban muy sabrosos. Como digo, los precios son un poco altos, a veces hay un poco de espera y de descanso es muy limitado. El personal era amable y paciente con nosotros (adultos y niños). De nuevo, un buen surtido de sabores que son muy buenas.

En la 3ª de julio en la tarde mi marido recientemente decidimos ir a la tienda local de helados con nuestro hijo de 1 años para comprar un cono de bebé con helado de vainilla. . . Le dijeron por el asistente de compras que aunque había cada opción helado imaginable delante de nuestro hijo, que no fueron permitidos para servir helado de vainilla en un cono de bebé! !

Currently it appears that Oddono's is lacking the basics for an ice cream/gelato place - flavours etc. We hope the management are able to bring this wonderful place back to it prior standards.

Anyone who's been to Italy will agree this is one of the best places to have gelato in London. Me and my friend had pistachio and the flavour was just like we remembered it. So rich and creamy.

I've not been to the shop, but I ordered an ice cream cake from here. Oddono's were very quick to reply to my questions over email and ordering the cake was very easy. The cake looked great and tasted really delicious! Definitely recommend.

Service is friendly, queues can be long on a summer's day but worth the wait! You can ask to taste different flavours until you find the ones that you must have. Authentic gelato here in London is worth a trip to Hampstead. Would give 5 stars if there were more seating inside

Londra ha un'enorme offerta di gelati artigianali, ma trovarne uno buono non e' cosi' scontato. Questa gelateria nel caratteristico quartiere di Hampstead offre un gelato artigianale davvero di alta qualita', praticamente come essere in Italia.

I love the gelato here and I highly recommend it. There are several sizes of cones and cups. There's the 1kg take away boxes too. Lovely miniature ice-creams and biscuit sandwich Ice creams

We came here after lunch. The ice creams are not cheap but tasted really good. We would definitely come again.p

Think no more ice cream gelato rules and Oddono is one of the best in London and Europe. Favourite flavours are chocolate, bacci ) Italian chocolate) and pistachio.

I normally go to the one in central London but as I was near by here dropped in and as the other branch best ice cream in town can't get any better !!!!! WillKeep coming back always

I often come here after a meal on the weekends, or before a walk on the heath, there is usually very little queue, the staff are very efficient, although sometimes at can appear a little understaffed. The ice creams are quite expensive for the size, but the ice cream is of excellent quality.

Vivendo in zona, quando ho voglia d un buon gelato non c'è posto migliore che Oddono. I gusti variano con cadenza bi-settimanale, mensile ed é sempre un piacere provare gusti nuovi che anche se a prima vista potrebbero far storcere il naso a qualcuno si rivelano sempre molto gustosi. il mio preferito: mascarpone, miele e noci. ho avuto l'onore di assaggiarlo solo una volta ma spero che possa ritornare come gusto. Provare per credere!

The Gelato served here is simply amazing. Creamy and sweet and flavourful. Home made and extremely good.Highly recommended
