If I could leave a 0 star I would. Visited for breakfast on 21/12/2024 and was left waiting for a while after others after us was given their food. Politely asked if they could check where the food was and then was given very cold to touch food. We believe it was because when ordering, the lady didn’t ask for a table number so we think it just sat there in the kitchen. We was all hungry and that included my son so we just ate when it came out and left and thought maybe it was the morning service and would give it another try. Then we had booked for the evening for 2 of us, on arrival we checked for our reserved table and we noticed a couple had just sat down at our reserved table and we had asked for a little extra room so this was slightly bigger than a 2 table. The gentlemen checked our table on the system and instead of requesting the young people relocate as they had just arrived, they placed us at a built in table that couldn’t move and we were very squished. We didn’t want to cause an issue and complain so we left.

Always a good experience at the Ock and Dough. Huge shout out to Caitlin for being entertaining and good conversation!

A nice pub, good range of vegan options, nothing amazing but I would go back if in the area.

How very disappointing. Can't get a beer at the bar because the staff are all running food. Food is bad. Steak was tough as old boots, served with barely cooked chips. My son's meal was an almost inedible mess, my wife's meal was bland boring and undercooked. Won't be back.

I recently visited Ock n Dough in Wellingborough with my family to celebrate my birthday. While the atmosphere was really nice and relaxing, the service left much to be desired. Each time we wanted to place an order at the counter, there was no one available. We had to wait, shout out, and look for someone to assist us. Even when we arrived, the table we wanted to sit at wasn’t cleared, so we ended up sitting at another table. The food was cold and did not taste good at all. The only positive aspect of our visit was the pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the poor service and disappointing food overshadowed our experience.

Live round the corner and popped in with my son for an after school treat. Matt, the manager was brilliant with him and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back here again. Thank you!

Very cheap quality food; the mushy peas and chips taste was totally awful; and the desert apple crumble taste was very sour and served with a tablespoon rather than a proper desert spoon. Definitely, I will give them zero reviews for service as well. Never going back. Had bad experience with food and service.

Really poor experience this evening. After the food was served the employee said ‘you can get your cutlery from over there’ and pointed to where we needed to grab it on the other side of the seating area. There was a large table full of people from the traveller community being very rowdy, the children were running all over the pub and smacking the glass on one of the arcade machines. The adults were shouting, chanting, and were continually being served more alcohol with no mention from staff regarding how disruptive they were being. I don’t care what community you are from, if you are being disruptive and disrespectful you should not be allowed to continue impacting others. This was a Sunday evening spoiled by lack of management, we were not the only family impacted by this and there were many others looking for a quiet meal to end the week.

We had an exceptional time at Ock and Dough and was made even better by Jodie’s lovely welcoming persona and extra service. She even recommended the wine we had and it was lovely (although can’t remember the name now!)

Well well well, where do I start?! Brooke and Jodie are amazing people and I am so glad they served me on such a fantastic evening. I would describe my night as splendid from start to finish, with Brooke and Jodie taking care of my every need and ensuring I could relax and enjoy my time.

Recently visited, fabulous service for Lauren our server, the food was delicious & reasonable priced!

Sadly the place has gone down hill over the last year. Granted it was never Mitchelin star food but it was always cooked properly. We hadn't been for quite some time and visited recently as we needed something to eat quickly. We'll the good turned up promptly which was good but wasn't cooked which wasn't. Staff were OK but who ever the new manager is should probably take a little more responsibility. We won't be back.

Terrible, toilets very dirty. Everywhere looked grimy and the table surfaces were very sticky.

Absolutely no value for money anymore. The meat you get with the roast is not worth it. Plus you can tell the food isn't fresh. Gordon Ramsey needs to be called

Fairly poor experience. Roast dinner was very disappointing. Turkey looked like sliced Turkey from the cooked meat aisle of a supermarket. Mashed potatoes were terrible and suspect it was instant Mash, and not even good instant Mash. Then you don't have cutlery on the table or brought with your food. If you order on the app which we did, then there was a notice that you had to get your own cutlery, but our friends ordered at the bar. They were not told that they needed to get their own, so were just there waiting until I pointed it out. We had to ask the staff to clear the table so we could order dessert. The high chairs were dirty and our group order baby food. It arrived on a plate that was red hot. It's a shame really because the prices are very reasonable but after our first experience, we won't be going back.

We are regular customers at the Ock, trying to go at least twice a month. We were served by the lovely Caitlin and Keira I believe their names were and they were so lovely!! Both girls greeted us as we walked in and were seen smiling together when serving us and others. It made a trip to the Ock a welcoming one and we will DEFINITELY be returning and hope to see these two working together again!

Surprisingly good, It's been a while since I last visited, but so much improved, in fact different in both levels of service, cleanliness, and food.

Came in for breakfast Sunday. The breakfast was very nice and served extremely quickly. Brooke served us and was very friendly and gave us some recommendations on what to get. Also helped bring our hot drinks to our table. Great customer service, will definitely be back!

It has been a long time since I was last here. It has changed mildly. There is no more inside play area for kids. I'm not child friendly, so this is no big loss for me 😀. Me and a friend walked in on a Thursday night to find a lot of reserved notices on the tables on the left side as you go in. There is a lot more seating on the right side as you walk in, and that is where we sat. The takes were reserved for the Thursday night quiz. We had no idea this was going on. The food was nice, there were a lot of options and I chose a mix thing where you chose 1 thing, have 2 sides and a sauce thing. It was enough, I didn't eat all my fries. I had to save some room for pudding. I had the U-shaped donut, I didn't eat the full dessert for 2, just the top and inside. I left the bottom of the donut. The ice cream was disappointing, it was like it was all shards like it defrosted and refrozen as few times. My friend was tenors by candymania, thankfully they do a kids size and she had that. I'm sure I'll return, maybe not on a Thursday as on the side we sat was very loud for the football on the tv. It was so loud we couldn't even here the guy talking through the microphone for the quiz that started at 8pm.

We didn't eat there in the end. Tried to add extra people to the booking via online message and voice mail because you can't actually speak to a human. Nobody responded so cancelled the booking. Going to the needle instead so they can make the money on a 12 person birthday gathering instead. If they can't communicate I would question their overall competence.

Originally left a good review here as used to be the go to pub. Unfortunately with all the Greene king chains, the quality has gone down hill and is now on par with Wetherspoons food, and they don’t make up for this with the prices of the drinks. There also always seems to be a shortage of Abbott ale with no fresh barrel ever ready… Place is still a lovely place to sit and eat, staff are still perfectly nice but unfortunately not as good as it used to be
