Horseshoes in Wellingborough

I ordered a G&T but forgot to ask for it to be put into a straight glass. The bartender changed it without any issue or concern. KARAOKE night was a roaring success!!

Great place to drop into for a drink

Amazing venue probably the best in town, staff are amazing and very welcoming, great music choice week in week out, djs are some of the best you will get in the town, as for the comment of poor quality sound system, think they must of gone to the kingfisher..... if you want a top night in a town full of culture then the horseshoe is the best place in town...... Can't comment about food as they currently don't serve food but never say never, many exciting things to come in the future from the staff at the shoe....

Ok place, but it’s not the nicest. Drinks expensive, sound quality for the music is poor and distorted with no bass and the bouncers can be unpleasant sometimes

DJ only plays what he wants & doesn't know the difference between reggae & other music.

Great place, fantastic atmosphere (especially when watching the football!) Lots of screens, 2 dart boards & a pool table. What really makes the place are the staff who are polite, friendly and professional, well done Matt & the Team!

Rating is for unnormously unprofessional door/security stuff, needed to call police, to stop the violence.

Had some good nights in here before. However, some bald bouncer decided that my cargo trousers I decided to wear out were tracksuit bottoms and denied me entry. These bottoms have gone international and never had this problem before. They are experienced in the clubbing scene and I was embarrassed, ashamed and let down. Terrible bouncer, get him down JD sports for a fashion lesson.

Ok place for a Saturday evening

This is a great local pub, had a really good atmosphere. You are allowed to order take away to the pub, it gets 5 stars for that alone. Looking forward to my next visit

It was dead quiet yet nice and clean. I can't say I'm a fan of going into pubs and being given a can of drink, a coke in this case. This pub could do with looking at the extraction fan in the gents toilet, 230v exposed live wires to an uncovered fan is not a good nor professional look.

(NONCE) simply for making 1 mistake being heavily toxicated, went to get there very young drunk friend. disgusting. & many were present at the time this can not be denied. Those words SHOULD not be used by those hired by your business.

Nothing too fancy about this place but it's one of the best Wellingborough has to offer; you get booths, karaoke and the smoking area is decent and where most people, even non-smokers, spend their time. Also, 4 stars for getting my drinks right everytime👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Not been here for years but had a thoroughly good night on the 23rd December. Great party atmosphere!! The performance by Matt is one of the best I've ever seen! What doesn't that guy cover!!! 🤣 Bar staff and Door staff very helpful and friendly. The place is decorated lovely. All ages welcome. Just as well with oldies like us!

£3 doubles on a Wednesday evening. What could possibly go wrong?

Service appalling. Popped in before to the theatre served by the rudest barmaid ever. No customer service skills at all. Now I know why it had no-one in you'd think pubs would be fighting to get people through the door . Not this pub had to shut to be served

Lovely atmosphere, great music, drinks price are okay the only downside one of the inside bars shuts early so the whole place has to crowd around 1 bar.

Looks lovely now it's been renovated and clean, and really enjoy the events they put on. Toilets could do with more checks throughout an evening and something different on the tvs other than sport would be goodx not quite sure it feels like that kind of pub but it's a small venue but nice for a good evening out

Great makeover. Really well designed, outside area well spaced and relaxing. Staff helpful and attentive.

Nice pub but had a terrible experience with customer service recently. We were told our cocktails we ordered were infact shots (despite them being on the cocktail section of the menu, not the separate section for shots) with no acknowledgment of the menu error. I was asked to change my order, whilst my friend was simply not served his drinks as staff assumed he would not want them. My replacment 'purple rain' was blue - clearly missing an ingredient. As was the 'cherry bakewell' which was served with no cherry flavour (£7 for amaretto and coke), as the bar had ran out. None of this was communicated. After this shortage, we were then served incorrect drinks as staff took it upon themselves to change our orders to cater to their lack of spirits. We also witnessed staff shouting innapropriately at other customers whilst taking an order. This is a shame as The Horseshoe is normally a great night out. The reason for the two stars is due to the great customer service of Charlie who has since redeemed my opinion of the pub with a brilliant welcoming attitude, friendliness and a clear passion for bartending. Thank you Charlie.

I was kicked out for no reason. I couldn't hear one of the members of staff so I guess I had to leave. Unfortunately for her I could remember what happened so I couldn't be that drunk can I? I was trying to order a drink as well so I guess they didn't want my money? If I wasn't allowed to than why not say instead of getting your fragile little ego hurt because I couldn't hear you. You made me leave a bad impression on people because they didn't know where I was and when I walked back in to get my bag she looked at me like I am A disgrace. Seriously not impressed and not going back there again.

Nice looking pub with a decent menu including some veggie options. The wrap was substantial. Loses a point for running out of doombar and other draught bitter.

Came here on a Friday night, the wait staff were very friendly and the outside area was very accommodating to our larger party size, they could do with a speaker or there so we could hear the music but still able to talk to each other. Very good prices on drinks

A tad dissapointing. I visited this pub in wellingborough September of 2020, where the food was fantastic, but now I'm afraid to say the food was lack luster. Ill probably visit again at some point in the future but I won't be expecting an awful lot.

After leaving Castello lounge which was wonderfully socially distance and clean, me and 4 others qued to get into Horseshoe(s). The doormen told us to wait 5 minutes while other people came out and in of the door. We were let in, one person from our party wrote down his name and number on a stray piece of A4 paper. There was around 40-50 people in the front bar, standing at tables, queing at the bar closely. We were then led in and vaguely shown to go outside and find a table. We had to squeeze past people who were standing on the dance floor, people were standing around between tables and you had to push past them. Apparently there was a one way system which wasn't being used whatsoever. Outside there was no clear way to get around the outside area, let alone the new bar outside. We stood outside by a filthy table for a few minutes, then decided to sit at the front bar for a while as it somehow felt safer.

I asked DJ to play Summer of 69 he said ok but never played it. Straight after that was a fight inside. I am preety sure ppl just get frustrated from not hearing Drian Adams and start fight.

There was am issue with the fire alarm causing the music and tills to stop working. Staff were helpful but the place needs a new way of dealing with false alarms

This is a nice pub, especially if you want to play darts or pool, it has TV for sport. There are some live music nights

I love the horseshoe. Lovely pub with good drinks and nice staff. Friday and Saturday nights are fun with live music, darts and pool as well as karaoke from the venues resident DJ. Sky TV and 4 screens playing sports or other shows. Regulars are pleasant and well behaved and disabled and other loos are kept clean. Pro LGBT and with disabled support for wheelchair and scooter users and door staff are very pleasant and really look after the welfare of the customers. Drinks selection is good with lots of spirits, bottled beers and ciders and real ale on tap. Perfect starter pub for a few drinks after work before heading onto other venues or nice warm venue for a sit down pint. Aye range is generally 25+ working professionals.

As gig venue this was really cool. Good size stage. Good monitors and lights. Got a feeling it's changed since I was there..?

Friendly bar staff but prices are a bit steep

A good pub with some very pleasant staff. I would've given 5 stars but found the music a tad loud considering how many people were in there at the time. Prices are a little on the high side too compared to other pubs in the town. All in all though I had a good night there with some friends.

This is a really good pub in Sheep Street Wellingborough.

Nice pub, good live music! Decent outside area that's atmosphericly lit at night. 2 pool tables, countless darts boards, good selection on the juke box. Quite pricey, but an enjoyable place!

Went to see 'The Candidates' live there, was a great venue and atmosphere, will be back again.

First pint tasted of vinegar, but the lady behind the bar changed it without question. A bit of a grotty pub in general. But to it's credit, it's a decent size, has live music and the people there seemed to be having fun. If you're looking for good beer and welcoming surroundings, this probably isn't the place for you.

Really support love music, great venue, brilliant sound men, treat their bands well. A jewel in the local live scene
