Absolutely incredible food with authentic flavours, I will ensure that I return whenever I am in the area. For those of you who haven’t tried Malay cuisine, give it a go here! You won’t find better Malay food than this outside of Malaysia. Thanks to Nora and Richard - I enjoyed speaking with you guys and sharing tales from Borneo. Take care and speak to you soon!

The food was superb,the best malaysian food I've had ever. Freshly cooked, served with a smile and the Freshly made paste was available to buy, fantastic food, highly recommend.

While orders takes a while to arrive, particularly during busy times, it's definitely worth it! Food is hot, authentic, aromatic, and objectively delicious! I'm vegetarian so it's usually difficult to find nice food that suits my dietary requirements, but the veg rice noodles were perfect for me. I'd love to return for a third time!

Plenty of veggie and vegan options. Fairly pricey and not the biggest portions but great to have some variety like this in Tenby. Would definitely recommend going for the spicier option!

We came here for a takeaway at around 15:30 for our evening meal. The quality of the food is very good. The meat was good and the sauces excellent. However, the two curries were not really sufficient for two people. Although cheaper than a sit down meal, it didn’t feel good value.

Three stars might seem a bit mean but that’s largely based on the size of the portions vs the price. We had the beef rendang which was delicious; a good thick sauce clinging to the tender beef and rich in cardamom, chilli and other spices.. we also had the lime nonya chicken curry which was lighter, but fragrant with lemongrass, lime leaf and fresh tomato. Both came with rice, which was fragrant but a bit dry. We also ordered a fresh roti, which was buttery, but very small for sharing. So, two dishes plus the roti came to just less than £33 which in my mind for a takeaway is a bit expensive especially since we were both feeling less than satisfied afterwards. I think if we’d had this for lunch and sat in the restaurant rather than taking it away it might have been a better experience. I would still recommend this place as the food is very tasty and authentic and the staff extremely friendly and accommodating.

Food is excellent, with plentiful ingredients and spices. Definitely 5 star food although I'm giving the experience 4 stars on a whole as I would have liked a glass of wine with it and they don't serve alcohol

I eat here regularly - in fact it’s the only place I use for takeaway foods. The food is always first class. When I first started eating here, I ordered the mild spice. Top Tip - go for the medium spice - as this is where you get the best balance of flavour, spice and aroma, without too much heat. The husband and wife team are entertaining and helpful. I can understand if some people find thought they can seem a bit offish, but this is simply due to them being flat out busy. If they are busy its for a very good reason. The food is great and in huge demand. They have never been rude, just hot and bothered. I wont eat anywhere else, and highly recommend trying them out.

Excellent Nasi Goreng with the addition of fried anchovies, which was a first time experience for me. Really enjoyed the freshness and simplicity of the dish which was wonderfully prepared by Nora.

The smell ( fantastic) drew us into the Old Market Hall Tenby - NORA’s - should be a huge ballon tethered to the Old Market pointing down to this joy of joy Malaysian Uber fest. We have travelled a bit - particularly around Asia and the anyone’s Lime Curry - devine - Nasi Goreng - bliss. Totally recommend this place - well done!!

Nora’s Kitchen makes absolutely delicious food! One of the best vegetarian-friendly places in Tenby with both dining in and takeaway options. The food is very reasonably priced compared to other eateries in Tenby too :)

Followed the wonderful smell into the market to find out where it was coming from, and decided our planned 'snack' would have to be something from here! Two of us shared a vegan tofu rengdan curry, rice and some vegetable spring rolls with chilli dipping sauce. No problem with one meal and two plates. Great food, useful little room to eat in and friendly staff. Nice touch to offer mild, medium or spicy for your freshly made curry.

We ordered the Vegan Lime Nyona Curry and the Tofu Rendang. Both were swiftly cooked and brought out to us in the seated area. The food was lovely and fresh tasting and the portions generous. The sauces are available to buy too. Lovely friendly people.

For someone who is gluten and dairy intolerant, this is my favourite place to eat in Tenby, the staff are very accommodating and the food was out of this world, highly recommend eating here 10/10

I live in Pembrokeshire but don’t visit Tenby a great deal. However each time I’ve come in the smells from Nora’s kitchen are amazing. During a solo shopping trip I picked up a vegetarian Malaysian curry and I didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. You could tell how fresh the ingredients were, it was made to order as heat preference was asked. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Fabulous, authentic Malaysian food. Highly recommend the beef rendang (tender and fall apart beef) and chicken rice noodles although everything on the menu looks wonderful. Flavours and smells coming from the kitchen are mesmerising. Owners are wonderfully friendly too - all the best!

It's hard to convey using words how good the food was from this place. Had the salmon curry special and the Aloo Roti. I was expecting it to be good, but not this good. If you're staying in Tenby and you haven't been yet, you need to go at least once.

Absolutely incredible food with service to match! A must for any visit to Tenby. I have been to Nora’s many times, often with several months between visits but Nora and her husband remember me every time, check my spice level and chat away with me whilst cooking my food fresh to order. Nora hits it spot on EVERY time, with food that is on tasty, you wish her restaurant was next door to your home. If you are looking for something more creative than fish and chips, please, please, please, make this top of your list.

Great tasting food, good service, only complaint is that the portion sizes are a bit small - for me anyway.

Nora’s was absolutely delicious! We bought food earlier in the day to reheat at home for dinner and loved it. The beef rendang was particularly good and the rotis were delicious. Lots of vegan and gluten free options, 100% recommend

We were on a family holiday in Tenby for the half term holidays. I had done some research beforehand and had found this place with its great reviews so really wanted to give it a try. My wife is vegan, so it was important to find somewhere we could all eat. On walking through the entrance to the Old Market Hall, we were greeted by the most fantastic smells from Nora's Kitchen, so we knew it was going to be good! The place is deservedly popular so you can have to wait a short while, as each meal is freshly prepared to order. We didn't mind the short wait though! I ordered the Malaysian Salmon Curry, my wife had the Vegan Nyonya Lime & Rice, and my son had the Mee Goreng. When we ordered we were each asked how spicy we wanted our food, which was great. Our food arrived and we all agreed that it was absolutely amazing. Definitely the best Malaysian food we have ever had! It was all delicious, fragrant, light and perfectly spiced! My wife said this was the best vegan curry she has ever had! Thank you so much! It really was amazing food, and we wished we lived closer or had something similar near to us! We even bought the Nyonya Lime Curry Paste to try at home! Thanks again.

We live in Essex but go to Pembrokeshire often. We always make a point of going to Tenby to visit Noras Kitchen. The food has never let us down. We’ve tried various dishes and enjoyed them all. This is a place I highly recommend and will always make a point of going to when I’m the area.

The food was tasty but we feel that the cost was far too high for the portion size and the fact it was takeaway which needed reheating. The price needs to be lowered considerably.

Delicious authentic Malaysian food cooked fresh to order! For the location (in the Tenby Market Hall) it is a little pricey though. Nora and her husband are friendly and chatty and it's a wonderful informal experience to sit in and eat.

Beautiful lunch - we had the salmon from the specials board which was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon :)

Ordered the Vegan Tofu Rendang Curry with Rice £12.95. The curry was tasty, very aromatic and rich in lemongrass. However, I ended up adding a lot of salt to the curry and rice, both really lacked seasoning. Asked for spicy and would say it was medium, will definitely ask for extra spicy next time! Unfortunately the curry lacked that rich coconut flavour you get with traditional Rendang. Otherwise, service was great and good portion size!

Some delicious Malaysian curry place inside Tenby Market Hall. I had some. Vegan Nyonya curry with rice. They do take away as well as a place to sit in. The food was great except, it was a little low in salt, spice levels were tolerable.

Made to feel that we were intruding, when asking to order a take away by the male member of staff. Ordered Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng, Beef Rendang, along with two stuffed Thali. We were expecting a flavour sensation. The Beef Rendang was tasty, however Nasi and Mee Goreng and breads were extremely bland, lacking in ingredients and were very flavourless. Our son in law is Malaysian and he recommended ordering these dishes as they are a home cooked family favourite, so we’re expecting great things. Sadly we were extremely disappointed.

Found this place in the market following positive reviews. Very nice food, expect to pay £10 -£15 per person. We tried the egg fried noodles and chicken curry. It was delicious and would definitely return. Staff are friendly.

We were in Port Talbot for a wedding and decided to visit Tenby the next day. We were after a late lunch and were wandering around and went in the Old Food Market. Almost immediately on walking through the entrance the most amazing smells were hitting us from Nora's Kitchen, so we decided to eat there. I ordered the Malaysian King Prawn Curry and my husband had the Chicken Rendang Curry and we shared a roti. On ordering we were asked how spicy we wanted our meals which was a lovely touch as you rarely get asked this. All I can say is the food was absolutely outstanding. The most fragrant, tasty, spiced food that we have ever had and the prawns were huge! My mouth was tingling for hours with the flavours. As others have said, surroundings are quite basic, with the menu on boards, but it really didn't matter. We knew nothing about Tenby or this place and literally just stumbled upon it. Quite simply one of the best meals I have ever had and I really wished I lived closer. Thank you so much, it was amazing! PS, I'd love the recipe for the Malaysian Prawn Curry!

We’ve waited all week to visit Nora’s and it was well worth it. The food was beautifully spiced - rich and fragrant. I liked that you could choose no spice, mild, medium or spicy which suits all palates. We had chicken rending, nasi goreng and mee goreng and they were all superb. (We all chose medium spice which was definitely pitched right.) Given that everything is cooked to order the wait time (10-15 minutes) was very reasonable. The portions were perfect - if anything they’re large for lunchtime. There are lots of lovely places to find lunch in Tenby and we’ve tried quite a few, but this knocks the others out of the park. Great value fresh delicious food. Thanks, Nora’s kitchen!

We'd be trying to get to Nora's all week but the popularity meant we were missing out!... we were lucky enough to stop by late yesterday afternoon and although our choices were limited because they had nearly sold out, were not disappointed. We both had noodles & wow they fantastic!! We purchased curry paste too & looking forward to trying it at home. Thanks Nora & team, we'll definitely be back.

This place is such a little hidden gem! So glad I decided to give it a go as the nyona lime curry was delicious, moist chicken and such a flavourful sauce. I'm not great with spice either and it was just perfect. You can sit in or takeaway and it's cooked right that minute. Perfect!

Excellent in every way. Don't hesitate! I'm pleased to have met Nora and to have congratulated her in person for her delicious, authentic and freshly cooked food.

One word: Awesome! We loved the food very much. The atmosphere is a little special but very much reminiscent of street food places in Asia. Be careful with the spiciness though!

So happy to find Malay Halal food in Tenby! Ordered beef rendang and mee goreng mamak for lunch! Food were freshly cooked and most importantly it was yummy! Reasonable waiting time and food portion was good too. All the best to Nora’s Kitchen .

This place is amazing! I walked past yesterday as they were cleaning up. The smells were Incredible so came back. Had the chicken rendang curry. So good. Definitely going back for the curry laksa before leaving Tenby. Nora and her husband are the best!

The best food in Tenby! I was there for a week on holiday and had chicken rendang and then went back the next day for Laksa. You have to preorder laksa the day before as it is quite labour intensive but it was worth the wait - the best laksa I've had and it's one of my favourite dishes so I've had a fair few! Thank you we'll definitely be back next year!

Gorgeous vegan lime curry. Shared a portion with my 6 year old and it was plenty! I like that they ask what level of spice you want. We had mild and it was the right amount. Really delicious food and much healthier than pasties (which we had attempted to buy but shops were not fully stocked), glad we came here.

Really lovely food, cooked fresh while we waited. Nora even stayed open a little while longer to accommodate us. We had fresh roti and basmati to accompany 2 fresh mains. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend. Great value.

Had an excellent meal yesterday - very tasty, authentic food that reflects Nora’s Malaysian roots. Both her and Rich have worked extremely hard to create a successful small business and the town has really benefitted from their presence. Looking forward to the next time :).

The chefs recommendation was fantastic, I had number 1 from the board. The food was freshly prepared and was still very hot by the time I got home. Delicious authentic Chicken Rendang with Basmathi Rice and we requested Nora to make it spicy. Best Malaysian food served here. Nora uses fresh ingredients and cooks to order. We stumbled upon Nora's Kitchen when we were strolling thru the Market and since it was Hari Raya (Ramadan) we were glad to find this gem of a place with friendly accommodating owners. Thank you so much for everything. Anyone who loves Asian food please visit Nora's Kitchen and you will not be dissapointed, your taste buds will thank you for the wonderful experience.

Absolutely fabulous. We were caravanning in the area, and stumbled across Nora’s kitchen in Tenby market. So fresh tasting, so different from an Indian ‘curry’. We took it back to the van, reheated it later, mmmmmmmm

Nice food but cold in the market

On our last day in Tenby over Christmas we picked up one portion of made to order curry paste to cook our own curry at home and it was absolutely delicious! One portion was more than enough for two. Really fresh tasting and Nora took the time to give us instructions on how to cook it. We are back down next week and will be ordering a full takeaway for dinner, can't wait!!

Very nice food, freshly cooked, but agree with previous reviews that the portions are small, as containers only half filled. Glad we ordered extra otherwise would not have been enough. Beautiful taste and we will definitely return.

The chicken rendang was so fresh and tasty, we were talking about it all day! Highly recommend! Great food and reasonable pricing! Only bummer is it takes a few mins but you know it’s fresh as they make to order!

What an absolute gold mine. The food is absolutely amazing. My wife and I were in Malaysia in 2009 and have never until just now, recaptured those beautiful flavours. Nora, and Mr Nora thank you. You made our holiday in Tenby just that bit extra special.

Amazing. We lived in SE Asia for some time and adore the food. Beef rendang in particular is one of my favourite dishes of all time. So very excited to discover Nora's on a return to where I grew up. And was not disappointed.Can't praise it enough. Superb ingredients, well prepared and cooked. Thank you

Food was delicious and very authentic. We tried 3 dishes for 2 adults to have some different tastes. I only scored 4 because the portion sizes were small, the containers were half full so if we ordered 2 portions it would not have been enough.

Great location and great food, but let down massively by the staff. The staff were rude and wait times were long to order drinks and food. I've seen slugs move faster.

As others have mentioned in their reviews, we were drawn to Nora’s Kitchen in Tenby market by the amazing smells emanating from there. We have been fortunate enough to spend time living in Singapore and Malaysia and were excited to try here. Unfortunately the first day it was sold out but today we got Mee Goreng and chicken Rendang along with Roti ( and some sambal for a Singaporean friend). Thank you Nora, it travelled well and we reheated it for dinner. It was all absolutely delicious and took us both back to very happy meals in SE Asia. Would absolutely recommend here and next time we visit Tenby I will be ordering in advance!! Thanks again and a pleasure meeting you both today and having a quick chat.

So so good. The other half and I ordered mee goreng and a lime chicken curry. They smelt amazing as they were being cooked and tasted even better. Really fresh ingredients. If you like Asian food this is definitely worth a visit if you're in Tenby. Sadly we go home tomorrow, otherwise we'd be back

Amazing food we had various rendangs took me back to a beach in Malaysia, would highly recommend if you are near tenby try it out 👌.

Ordered the Beef and Chicken Rendang Curry by phone in the morning and collected it at 4pm and my goodness was it worth the wait. It was absolutely beautiful. Would definetly recommend.

You only have to catch a waft of the delicious aromas coming from Nora's Kitchen to know you're in for a treat. Her food is the real deal and is an oasis of excellent food in a town which appears to just cater for tourists. We ordered two beef and two chicken rendang with roti to take back to Saundersfoot for dinner that night. We couldn't believe how authentic and delicious our meal was - we haven't had food as good as this outside of Malaysia and Singapore. Superb!

Having had authentic Malaysian from the source, this was genuinely indistinguishable from the very best. Honestly cannot emphasise how amazingly perfect this food was. If you are a food lover, you really need to try this.

Stumbled upon this place going into the indoor market. We love Far Eastern food, so ordered some food to take home for dinner. So glad we did. Having just ate our nasi goreng and our curry, it was so delicious, we loved it. We ordered it with a bit of extra spice and it was lovely.Already looking forward to going back here to try more when we are in Tenby next year. Thanks xxxx
