No 1 Pizza in Walsall

I need to express my disappointment after ordering a pizza from Number 1 Pizza in the Walsall area. To be completely honest, the pizza tasted so awful that I believe dog food would have been a better option. The side dish of jerk chicken was not only disgusting but also raw. Luckily, my knowledge of good food saved the day. The restaurant is situated at 44b Bridge St, Walsall WS1 1JG.

Pizza No1 used to be a top choice in Walsall's pizza scene. Once offering mouthwatering pizzas like the Elpaso, my favourite and weekly go to for many years a long time ago. A delicious, juicy, spicy pizza that kept me coming back week after week. However, in recent years, the quality, freshness, and overall taste seem to have taken a downturn. Despite occasional attempts to give it another chance, hoping for improvements in quality, Pizza No1 continues to disappoint, with consistently poor standards, possibly worsened by recent changes in ownership. Pizza No1, sadly, falls short of its former glory.

Refused to deliver. Spoke to a very rude man at shop and he said he didn’t need to explain his self to me, when asked why delivery wouldn’t be to my door. When paying for delivery I would expect it to be delivered. Disgusting customer service

Worse pizza place in Walsall gone so expensive and take about 2 hours to deliver local and very snotty on the phone really cant say a good word for them never get orders again 😡

Top quality food, excellent service

I always have iiked ordering pizza from this place however that last couple of occasions they keep getting the order wrong. Why add jalapeño when clearly I added on order online to be removed as kids cannot it eat. I emailed them but still no response. May have to consider a new pizza place

Always amazing pizzas. Can honestly say that I have never had a bad pizza from this establishment. The customer service could be a little better but what do you expect from a pizza place? lol I don't mind not receiving the royal treatment providing my pizzas stay good ;) well done No1s :) (this was review 8 years ago) today and this place STILL delivers well.. the food is amazing and all the pizzas are made with care and quality ingredients throughout.. believe it may be under new management now and seems a lot busier.. keep up the great work No1 Pizza Walsall 👍❣️

I would not have even given a 1 star but just to review. Rude, absolutely Vile man over the phone. No communication skills what so ever. Never order from that place ever again. Waste of time

Rude staffs and Customer service+ knowledge down the drain! Cut the call on me and won’t pick up again after 55seconds of call! All just because I had a question. And yes it was a lady and couldn’t even speak good English. I hope they improve and hire better staff members or will lose a lot of business

You know what, in a semi drunken state I ordered a pepperoni pizza from these guys to get me home and it was pretty damn good, as well as excellent value. What more can you ask for?

Absolutely shocking rude business. Ordered of Uber eats have email to prove and there delivery driver delivered to my door still on my Uber eats history they forget most of my order phone up to be screamed at and called a Lier saying I've never ordered from them and they've never delivered to me, guy is screaming and swearing down the phone. Absolutely appalled!! How are they even open???!!

Possibly one of the best take away pizza I have had in a long time. Popped in after attending a gig in Birmingham City Centre and ordered XL Papa Luigi with extra toppings. The pizza was made perfectly and for £13 definitely value for money.

Rude staff.. Pizza quality is excellent but also requires a way of talking with customer. I called to order and the staff lady was so rude didn’t even bothered about my special request.

Shocking service, Food delivered of a poor standard and cold, refused to acknowledge us on the phone, and refused us the managers name when we repeatedly asked - WILL NOT BE USING IN FUTURE!!!!!

Ordered from an external food service, however after recieving said order it was freezing, the restaurant admitted the food was cold before leaving the building, we asked to speak to someone who could resolve our situation, they told us no manager and refused to help then proceeded to hang up, we have since tried to call said restaurant and they keep hanging up and ignoring us. I have used this restaurant for many years and I am shocked with this service.

We often get a pizza when watching football. The team at No.1 are happy to provide off menu pizzas, and create one off's. The food is prepared in front of you and hygiene is important to them.

disgusting..... paid 35 quid for disgusting food. A sweet "tomato" sauce. A garlic bread without any garlic but way too much cheese. A salad with some lettuce and some tinned fruits and vegetables and disgusting tinned meat on the pizza's as well. 🤢

Had a pizza on collection. The service was quick and efficient on a Sunday evening. The shop was busy making up orders for delivery and a collection order. The pizza was nice and tasty They were only taking cash payments only.

If i could give a - 0 i would only ordered once from hear went to do it again and the phone person was very rude and hung up the phone pure cheek if u ask me would NEVER RECOMMEND

Food is amazing, they forgot my dips one time but delivered them to me about 20 mins later. But mainly missing 5 stars due to one very rude older delivery guy who seems constantly angry and hardly understands English.

I've bought many pizzas from here after a Saturday night on the sauce and I have to say I've never been disappointed, you don't have to wait too long and the food is really good, great fast food.

A very good place for a Pizza. The prices before 9pm are fantastic so you know you can get a really beautiful pizza at an exceptional price. It's lovely and clean with great staff who are always willing to help you. Worth a visit.

Very clean behind and in front the counter. The people are always laughing and joking around with you and always talk to u with expression and enjoyment. They open a bit li late around 10 mins but they will stay open 10 more minutes to make up for the time

Phoned from a private number and they wouldn't serve me because of that. When asked why so that I could try to find a work around, they hung up on me. Baffling considering that they've always delivered to me before.

A recent timeline for our last order: 6.15 – ordered two pizzas: promised within 45 minutes 7.10 – not arrived. Phoned to find out what’s happening. Voice at the other end asks if we’re sure we ordered from No.1 Pizza. (Yes, I’m pretty sure – it definitely wasn’t Domino or Pizza Hut.) Eventually – Yes, we have the order: it’s on its way – will arrive in 2 minutes 7.25 – Still no pizza. I phone again. Long wait on the phone with incoherent background noises. Eventually: The driver had an accident – very sorry – we’ll make you a new pizza – the one in the accident will be cold by now. 10 minutes to make; 10 minutes to deliver: it will be with you in 20 minutes. We’ll only charge £15 instead of £17.50. (The usual price is £15.60, so we’re saving 60p!) 7.50 – Pizzas finally arrive. 7.51 – No.1 become 19 – Google Maps shows 19 pizza outlets in Walsall!

Staff wasn't friendly (they did not welcome or acknowledge my existence too!) and they accept cash only on payments below £5. The Tandoori pizza was the only halal pizza available and they burnt the sides of the pizza as well. I was starving so I gulped it down anyway. Not the best pizza in Walsall but hey, mans gotta eat.

Ordered a delivery today 2205 after calling 2 times find out where my delivery was I told on the phone if food is cold I'm gonna return it delivery driver arrived at 2305 I opened the door with my 2 year old nephew excited about pizza when I checked the pizza it was cold wgen i told him the food is cold the idiot delivery guy snatches rest of the food out of the 2 year olds hands throws the food on back seat and drives off he is lucky he did not leave with smashed face never ordering from them again

I order from here at least twice a month. I always go for my favorite which is a hot veg with pepperoni. This place never disappoints me, they've got some great food. When in Walsall, I refuse to go anywhere else for a pizza. I've even got the other half ordering from here too. Great price, great food and the fact that they're open till late is even better. Keep up the good work guys! :)

I`m so disappointed in their service recently.. 3of the last 4 times I've had deliveries they've either been wrong,or tonight's took almost an hour and a half and the food was barely warm. Rang up to complain and no one would spark to me,instead leaving the poor girl who takes the orders to deal with me.. She was told to offer me a meagre £3 off my next order.. As a regular loyal customer, I feel you mean nothing to these people.

Terrible customer service. I ordered the meat feast pizza and the ham was out of date, when I tried to address the issue I constantly got cut off on the phone and shouted at. The staff are very rude and unprofessional.

It's not very often I'm impressed enough to write a review. I only normally write reviews when I'm upset with a service. I'm not sure if it was because I was starving but that pizza was the bomb. Loved it.

Ordered a papa Luigi for 11pm last night. First impression was it's not what it used to be. Couple of hours later I was having a few stomach cramps, nothing major. Woke up at 8am with severe stomach cramps and in and out of the bathroom all morning. disgusting.

First time I ordered home delivery and it will certainly be the last. Delivery driver went to wrong address, even though the driver said he had the correct address. Waited another 10 mins and then phoned the delivery driver. He's still at the wrong address, even though he's telling me he's at the right address. waited another 10 mins. Delivery is now 30 mins overdue. Phoned the shop and they said they would send another driver. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience and I was told there would be no discount as it was all my fault, because I didn't answer the phone when the delivery driver called me. Notwithstanding the fact that I had two phone conversations with the delivery driver concerning the correct delivery address. Can you get your hat on?! Anyway, even though I believe that their pizza is the best in town and I have been using them for over 20 years, this is a deal breaker. This is not how any customer should be treated and I will never use them again.

This is by far the best pizza place in town. Excellent prices and even better food. Free delivery over 8 quid. 6 slice pizza, big bag of fries, and free delivery for under a tenner. Used them loads of times and have never been disappointed.

If that's number 1 I'd hate to see number 2 & 3 dreadful...Please avoivd..poor customer service all round and just dreadful for what you pay ..guy just sitting on the floor doing nothing all staff chatting and not serving and just laughing. ..quite intimidating

I can't comment about their food, after two hours of waiting for an order to be delivered I gave up and cancelled the order. I rang them twice after ninety minutes to find out what was happening to my order and was fobbed off with "it'll be with you in a few minutes" after another fifteen minutes I called again and was told "it'll be with you in a few minutes" Total lies. I know they were lying as when I cancelled the order it amazingly never arrived despite having been told it was on the way! Do yourself a favour and don't order from here, or you'll starve.

Service is terrible on a number of occasions have phoned to order pizza to collect half hour in advance . Only to get there and they not even startedto cook it . Some lame excuse been busy . No one even in shop . This is at 7 pm , really is a terrible service . Not reccomended . Try wishbone up road . Quicker

Menu choice is goodand service is usually pretty fast but the quality of the pizza is not a patch on places like Papa Johns although No1 is a lot cheaper. Worth a shot.

Worst customer service ever we went in ordered a pizza paid for it and had a taxi outside waiting for us and the bloke decided he wanted to talk to his friends for 10 minutes until he started making the pizza and started throwing verbal abuse at my close friend and we had to get another taxi never using that place again it's lucky it's got 1 star

Have had pizza's from here for the past 16 years and can honestly say that I have never, had a bad pizza. Service is quick and even delivery and fantastic value compared to pizza hut delivery.

My pizza turned up cold the box to my fries was completely crushed and my pizza order was incorrect...had mushrooms when I didn't order them When I called to let them know the person said it was his fault as he had put the mushrooms on even though I hadn't ordered them and then proceeded to tell me that the box must of got crushed in the bag on delivery. The thing that annoyed me was the lack of care it wasn't until I stated that it wasn't a good enough explain action that he offered to redo my food I stated I don't want to wait another 45mins for food and would rather have a at least some money back I wasn't expecting all of it but at least 20% The guy then turned round and said well I will tell you what put everything back in the bag and I will send a the driver back with your money..I explained that the problem was only with part of the order so that wouldn't work hence why I wasn't asking for a full refund. He then said there's nothing he can do then!! At that point I told him to forget it and that I wouldn't be ordering again to which he then hung up!!!!

We have been using number 1 for at least 15 years , pizzas are lovely , always hot and the food is a great price , you can't beat this place !!
