Brilliant and friendly pub. Me and my mates had a great time visiting when we came for a weekend away. Location was ideal for us as it was a very short walk from where we were staying.

Brilliant friendly warm welcoming pub. There always a lot of sports on to watch and if what you want to watch isn’t on the landlady is lovely that she will put it on if a tv is free. It’s also a very dog welcoming place, dog treat and water bowls by the bar. The landlady also put a lot of time and effort into put events on as much as she can for her regulars and for new customer to join such as things like darts knockout for everyone, quiz nights, banging bingo etc. Also a lot of events on for children such as Easter egg hunts, meeting Santa at Christmas time, trick or treats sweets at Halloween time etc. staff are as lovely and very friendly and very polite. It’s a brilliant pub we will definitely be going back.

Not been to the 19th for a few years before I went with a friend the other weekend. I took part in the outside of the pubs nee appearance jetting the brick work front to back. But when I entered after it still didn't seem very inviting but ever since Jess took over I love to go there. Good atmosphere and friendly staff it's become one of my local hubs and social group houses. Would recommend visiting 100%

Really pleasant experience here recently. I found it to be a very friendly pub, staff were exceptionally nice, good selection of drinks, which I wasn’t expecting for a small pub and by far the most important bit was it’s very dog friendly, which is a must for me. Although my partner would say it was the sports being played! Anyway, overall a very nice experience and we will return.

Best pub in Buxton, they even won an award for it. So it goes without saying they deserved it. Recently been going to another pub in Buxton but heard that there was a new landlady so decided to return to my old local, and I was not disappointed. Jess and her team are fabulous, and even managed to put the old Budweiser bottle back on the system for me. 3 bottles of bud for £9! Can’t fault the team at all.

Recently visited the nineteenth hole, great atmosphere, lovely staff and welcoming regulars. Loads of upcoming events which we will be attending. Can’t wait to visit again. Dog friendly, and all the sports are on offer. Thank you to Jess and the team for making our visit memorable.

Nice little pub with a good range of drinks. Theres always a welcoming smile from the staff and the locals are super friendly too. Went on a night there was a DJ on and the atmosphere was fantastic. Loads of entertainment going off each month for everyone including quiz’s, poker and much more. If you’ve not been in I would definitely recommend nipping in for a pint or two!

A very welcoming traditional pub. The regulars all seemed very friendly and the bar staff equally so. We were here on the monthly quiz night and had a thoroughly entertaining evening mostly because of the atmosphere and not our general knowledge expertise.

Small little pub in fairfield, wide range of lagers, gins and various bottles. One ale on cask but they were discussing getting a guest ale in too. New landlady and team who are all doing an amazing job. Locals are friendly and you can bring your dog too.

There are many cafes in Hope to choose from, especially on a bank holiday but the best one has got to be the Courtyard Cafe. Tucked away a little off the main street, it's quiet allowing you to hear your conversations but the absolute best thing are the chips! The chip butties are amazing! The chips are crisp and properly sized! Looking around all food we saw looked really good. Staff were so lovely and clearly the local's favourite spot to come to. An excellent cafe to come to after a great walk from Hope. Can't wait to come back to Courtyard and eat more chips!
