Nightingales is a friendly and necessary cafe for the community with the kind of welcoming tea, coffee and breakfast I remember from years ago. And the prices are also very reasonable.

I visited to grab a quick bite to eat with my children and I couldn't believe the prices £2:50p for a cooked breakfast, the staff are so polite and on finding out the money made goes towards helping the community and the vulnerable just made our stay even more pleasant. If your looking for a place with a friendly atmosphere, food, hot and cold drinks at great prices this is the place to go.

Everything about this cafe is top notch. The staff, the food, the community vibe, the events they put on, nothing negative to say about the cafe whatsoever. I come in every day and get the special (which is priced extremely well) and I sit and talk to the wonderful individuals who access the cafe and the services surrounding it. 10/10 would rate it higher if I could.

What's not to like? We got a warm welcome and a delicious, freshly cooked full English breakfast with tea and toast for the crazily low price of £2.50. Everyone in there was friendly and we liked the funky decor too. We also enjoyed the community vibe and we'll be returning very soon. Well done everyone at Nightingale's.

Outstanding full breakfast at £2.50. Any revenue supports a very worthwhile charity. Snacks, hot drinks and the famous full English breakfast at rock bottom prices.

Had a very good full English breakfast for two with drinks and only paid £9. The staff were friendly and very pleasant. When my husband wanted a second tea he was charged only a £1. It was very clean and had very pleasant surroundings. They run a Coffee set aside system where you could buy one for yourself and one for a person in need. As we had paid less than the price of one breakfast at the Premier Inn round the corner we gave the lady a £5 for others. She then put a board outside the café with a number 3 on which would let people know there was 3 coffee's available for the public that are in need. Would defiantly go back if I was in the area.

We visited on a recommendation and we were so glad we did. This quaint little gem of a bakery is tremendous.. The selection of fresh cakes, pastries and bread is amazing. You will go in with an idea of what cake you want to have but once you stand infront of the vast choice in the glass cabinet you will be stood there choosing for a good 10 minutes lol. The young ladies serving are very attentive and knowledgeable about the ingredients and dietary values. We have been 3 times now and although you initially think it's a bit pricey, the cakes are enormous and very satisfying. We'll worth a try... But you WILL go back for more! Yum yum!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. It was like heaven for the children with all the wonderful treats in offer. The churros were delicious, I will definitely be coming back for more of them! We had quite a good selection of items from the menu and it didn’t come to more than £40, that was for 2 adults and 4 children so was pretty cheap too for what we ordered. The young lady who was working is an absolute credit to the team, she went that little bit extra and put candles in the candy floss ice cream burrito and played happy birthday which was a lovely little surprise. I would definitely recommend anyone considering have a child’s party to come here!
