Next Chapter Restaurant in Stirling

We had our Company Xmas lunch at the Next Chapter for 21 people. It was great, lovely food and exceptional service. I would definitely recommend. Big thumbs up. Thank you Brian! ☺️

Paid £52 for 2 mains and 2 glasses of red wine at lunchtime. The place smelled strongly of fish when we arrived. It was pretty empty too with only one other table occupied. They charge high prices for mediocre food and have Radio Forth 2 playing with adverts and bad music. The atmosphere is lousy. The food wasn’t even that great, certainly didn’t justify the prices and the wine at £9.50 for a large glass wasn’t even pleasant. All in I would not recommend and I certainly won’t be returning.

This place has the potential to be the best restaurant in the area, the setting is fantastic. I'd read the reviews and thought we'd give it a chance. My Husband and I fancied a nice meal out which was nice but really could be fantastic with some small tweaks. Quite clearly from the moment of arrival there were insufficient staff to deal with the number of guests. We waited a long time to be seated which wasn't a problem for us but others were clearly bothered. The food was good but we got the impression it was all a bit thrown together. The chef served our food and we had to wait 20 minutes to order our wine which we'd had menus for, for a long time, thus detracting from the enjoyment of the experience. We waited 40 minutes for our plates to be cleared and would have had desert but the experience was ruined by then. Essentially some minor mistakes, easily rectified would solve this and I'd recommend to friends but as it stands, management need to take note of these issues. The setting is beautiful however the lighting isn't quite on point, again minor, constructive to try and improve things.

The worst meal I have been served for a long time. I ordered the chicken stuffed with spinach and Feta. which was tiny with a very small amount of spinach and you would need a magnifying glass to find any feta.. When I complained the owners response was " That is how the butcher sells it so that is how it comes".. My plate was over half full of sauteed potato and a small dish of sauce and two pieces of chicken measuring about 3" by 1 "" I certainly will never visit again

Second time at this wonderful restaurant and it did not disappoint. The staff are fantastic and a real credit to the business. The decor, location and ambience make dining here a pleasure but most importantly the food is amazing. Absolutely fantastic meal with fresh Scottish produce and amazing dishes. Truly a hidden gem and will 100% be back.

Yet again not disappointed at the delicious meal we had tonight, food excellent and the service was excellent. Thank you again to you all. Recommend always.

We had a wonderfull lunch in the garden of the restaurant Next Chapter in Bridge of Allan. A bit of the high street. But the scenery is so nice. Situated at the foothil of beautyfull woodlands in a 18th century old building. They have a very nice garden with playground for the smaalest kids. The food and service was great too. If you are visiting. This fine place worth a lunch or dinner.

I lunched with a group of 4 friends, choosing to sit out in the sunshine. The wicker seats were comfortable, with cushions & there was a large umbrella to shade us from too much sun. The waitress was very efficient, but not intrusive. The food was excellent and the portions generous, three of us had the fish platter as a starter, with excellent prawns, mussels, smoked salmon, & salmon mouse. Our main courses were varied, all were perfect. Despite not usually eating puddings we were persuaded by the menu to try the panna cotta with cherries, which was great, the affogato with grand mariner, which was delicious & the ice cream. A perfect lunch, with beautifully cooked & presented food in a lovely sunny setting. We will be back.

I attended a conference ference meal in May and was very impressed at how this restaurant handled 150 people all at once. This prompted me to try this place on a more intimate level. The menu was not overwhelming ( I would always rather a have small selectionn of items done well). The food was nicely presented wonderfully hot. So many places serve food that is stone cold by the time you are half way through. Well done, thank you. If I had to find fault I would say that some felt pads on the bottom of the chair legs would be welcome and perhaps slightly calmer music while we are trying to talk and eat. We will be back.

Nice selection of vegan food. Had 3 vegan courses that were delicious! Great portion sizes and really filling. Would 100% recommend for vegans and also loads of other great non vegan options too.

Cracking food, good wine, timely service and all great value - All 38 diners (old and young) loved the lunch. The smaller kids (8 of them) loved the swings, chutes, climbing frames and big lawn. Several requests to book again and it was only 2 days ago. Big thanks to all that work there.

seeing family for first time after covid and wanted to treat them to a nice meal. Restaurant lovely inside but service and meal terrible. Arrived at 7pm and only two other tables occupied but still waited 20 minutes before drinks order taken. It was an hour before food arrived. Vegan burger was burnt black on side and underneath and bun was dry. Had to pay extra for chips. Pork medallions served with cold potatoes only for potato salad and again had to pay extra for vegetables. Portion very small and overpriced. The burgers were the only meals that were substantial and worth the money. Left feeling hungry and ripped off.

Attended a wedding on 02.04.22. Despite staffing issues (covid) the staff did a wonderful job. Food is simple, unpretentious but delicious. Chicken breast with broad bean and cream sauce was lovely. Ditto a bravely spiced prawn cocktail. I wish the new owners the very best.

We went to the Next Chapter recently and have to say that we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the food served, particularly for the two main courses. The presentation was not good. That said, the service was very good and very friendly.
