New Shorehead Cafe Bistro in Fife

I went here on Monday this week with my husband and my girls. We were in Leven to enjoy the seaside and the beautiful sunny day, so went to this restaurant for lunch, it’s called something else and I think it’s been taken over by a new owner maybe a while ago. We ordered macaroni cheese, tuna toasties and the Italian flag, coffee and teas and also tried the cakes from next door also owned by this restaurant. The food was reasonably priced, everything was super tasty, so yum, bread freshly made, so flavoursome…we all loved it, great customer service, the owner I presume or the head chef was very friendly and so passionate, her love showed through in her food, we will definitely be back. It was a great experience for us and loved the atmosphere too.

chips and curry the sauce was lumpy and was still dry powder in it. macaroni is just plain pasta with cheese melted over it in the microwave. we ordered 5 small bowls of chips and 2 mac and cheese and it was £50!! absolutely over priced. the man behind the counter then proceeded to take a photo of us without permission or warning. don’t recommend!!

Sick of getting lukewarm coffee elsewhere just came in for a cafe con leche the coffee came out piping hot witch is more that can be said for some other places on the high st nice I

Food not good service bad, our food arrived in stages, some was cold while the rest came to our table 10 mins later, not impressed and won't be back

Good food, great location, friendly staff. Been a while since i was here but i remember many occasions. Rumours are that it's closing down, if not already so time may be up to try

The food is good and overpriced. A person of ordinary sensibilities might be intimidated by behind the counter staff and if not, thuggish others called in make sure. They're mostly empty anyway. ☹️

Lovely place and stock feel at ease enjoy your freedom and have a great browse and most of all see the great stock

Lovely place, quite intimate, staff very pleasent. Food delicious, not too many vegetarian dishes though. I had spinach pancakes, I think they were some mushrooms also and they were amazing.

Food is good but the cafe is in dire need of a makeover... old fashioned and stained. Portion sizes in the cafe are ridiculously small compared to takeaway considering the extra money you pay to sit in

Food is lovely, staff are great. I travel all the way from Edinburgh to get my red pudding supper fix!

Place a bit 60s looking but food very good and staff pleasant and helpful.

Awful. Chips were soggy, greasy and undercooked. Horrible, we all chucked them. Staff were surly. Waste of time and money. Eat elsewhere.

Bad fish and chips, fish has no taste. Chips were not freshly fried and under fried making them taste like raw potatoes

This is a great chip shop/sitting in cafe. You can enjoy a variety of meals or even have a nice coffee.
