I used to go a lot here but one day I got food poisoning from a soup, I haven't been back since unfortunately but they are usually quick at cooking and I loved their satay sauce

Tried New Gaze for the first time as our usual Chinese has changed hands and is now rank. The guy who took the order over the phone was polite and friendly. The food was delicious and we will defo be back. Plenty of chicken in the dishes, fresh veg and lovely flavours.

Ordered a delivery from a b&b I’m staying in for the weekend. Girl working on phone services was an absolute delight, so helpful and pleasant. Order was spot on and food was delicious 😋.

Gaze takeaway is 1 of the few Chineses in Bangor that you can count on as the food order is always correct, delicious and consistent as we have found that many places are good for a while and then can be quite changeable. We always call and collect so not sure what their deliveries are like but definitely worth a try if you haven't before as it is a firm favourite of ours.

This is the best chinese take away in the Bangor area. Only one problem. If you order early at the weekends i.e. 4 o'clock sometimes you get chicken balls that appear to have been refried as left overs from the night before - they are burnt and extremely crispy. If the restaurant says they do not do this then they should not serve burnt and crispy chicken balls as they are so hard many of them cannot be eaten! Either way it is a problem

We've just moved to Bangor and this place was recommended to us by a friend. We were very excited as we hadn't had a good Chinese in a while. Sadly we were overall very dissatisfied with the food. The soup was good, the ribs meaty but that's pretty much where it ends. The prawn toast was very crunchy, almost burned. No sauce with it so very dry to eat. I ordered a chicken chow mein as it's my go to. If I get a good one I'll stick with it for years. Sadly I was disappointed upon opening it. No vegetables and looked very greasy, literally noodles, some chicken and a few soy sprouts. It didn't taste bad but it was very bland and boring. Not worth £8.50. On the upside, I won't be needing a lip balm for the rest if the night!! My husband had the beef in honey chili sauce. Although acceptable, the beef just wasn't the right consistency, somewhat fatty. We won't be returning, such a shame. A positive though, service was friendly and bag was hot.

Amazing food and brilliant customer service! Extremely surprised to see bad reviews, never had a bad experience in all my years going here! Any problems are always sorted out without any hassle! My daughter ordered a portion of noodles. When she started eating she found a hair in it. Then she found a second one. I phoned to explain this and was spoken too by a very rude and defensive member of staff. She demanded evidence of this as this happened apparently a week ago with another customer, who apparently lied, only to be told by me that the food was in the bin. Now why would i bother making up lies and take time to call them, out of courtesy, if the food had of been fine? She talked over me and compared it to me being in restaurant and showing them the proof of the hairs. No apologies at all! My daughter gagged on it and it was spat in the bin hence no evidence. A lesson is to improve your tone with customers because you have now lost regular ones. Something that could have been sorted ended in a very frustrating conversation!

This was my regular Chinese for years but last takeaway was terrible. Several friends have said the same. Maybe a new chef but lost another customer now. Hard to find a good Chinese in Bangor

I was suspicious that my order for 2 sweet & sour chicken was ready in less than 5 minutes. Pleasant counter staff but the food was grim. Chicken was tough and flavourless so all we ate was the rice with the chilli sauce.

Ordered a delivery for 7.30pm party of 6. Girl that took our order over phone was brilliant helpful and efficient. Food arrived 7.27pm hot and everything we ordered was spot on. Thank you gaze we have been customers for years and never disappointed. X

Arrived to collect a carry out ordered over the telephone. When I got there I realised I had left my wallet in work which was a shop all closed and locked up. I went in and apologised to the girl that I'd have to cancel the order knowing it was obviously already made up so felt bad. Another lady came over and gave me it and said just pay through the app when you get home. Such good customer service and she was so nice about it. Gaze came recommended to me by my work manager and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and will definitely be back. It was lovely food, good price, easy parking and amazing customer service!

Was surprised to see bad reviews for here! We get from here every week and have never had an issue with food or staff! Foods always generous, hot and good quality and staff are always friendly! Can be a longer wait at weekends sometimes but they’re very busy it’s understandable.

Ordered a chicken curry with chips and salted chilli chicken, both containers were half full !! and hardly any chicken in the curry, more of the onions and mushroom.....should have called it onion ans mushroom curry !!!. Will never go there again.

Manager is a disgrace and certainly not professional!!!! App not taking order right and "manager" WOULDN'T help a VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER!!!! DISGRACE.. I doubt this woman knows what customer service is, her attitude was horrendous!!! And not customers problem new staff can't get orders right!!

Best Asian takeaway for miles. Freshly cook and hot. You can also ask for MSG free which is a massive bonus. Suitable for vegan and vegetarians too

Gaze are usually one of my favourite Chinese but tonight was rather disappointing as the garlic chips were cold, the fried rice was cold and the noodles were cold. Over all tonight was disappointing. Me and my family have always liked gaze but this will probably be the end of our business with you. Have a great night everyone!

Pretty much perfect every time. Satay chicken with half & half fried rice and noodles. Good heat from the sauce without it being overpowering and plenty of succulent chicken. Enough to easily feed two people.

This is just like the shop in Belfast. The satay is wonderful and they are quick and always good. The service is generally great, quick delivery, and huge portions of chips!

We have had 3 takeaways and not one has let us down. Every meal has been fresh and full of desired ingredients. I have phoned in once and customer service is above and beyond. Any requests via website orders are met no nonsense. The menu, food, service is 6 star . Not 5 star 6 Star. Well done team Gaze

Average food, nothing special. Pricy for what it is. Worst thing is though they don't take card payment, it's 2021 and they do not take card payment. What's even worse is that we are in a pandemic and cash is discouraged if possible and they still do not get a card machine in. Bizarre little place

Used to be very good even if on the expensive side but the prices have increased and the waiting time also longer. We have been customers for years but think we will find somewhere else. They can't be charging 20 quid for 2 chicken curries if you can buy a packet of rice for 40p! Silly prices for a chicken curry. Not impressed. I think they have shot themselves in the foot and we won't be the only loyal customers going elsewhere from now on

First time in ordering food to take away. Was hot and good portions. A bit pricy. Only 4 Star rating as both the salt and chilli Ribs and prawns had very little sliced veg in them. Staff were helpfull, only other problem is that it is a "cash only" shop with no card payments. Update on food and down grade to 2 stars only for take away purchased Last night, today I tasted the Special Chowmein I ordered last night. Very poor, the majority of the meat was tin ham and the prawn were very very small prawn not the usual couple of King Prawn. The sauce for it was tasteless. All in all after eating the last dish of my carry out, I'm very disappointed and will not be back, specially for quality of ingredients and inflated prices(£20.80 for, one portion of Salt and Chilli Ribs (Starter) , Salt and Chili King Prawns with fine noddles and Speci Chowmein (both Main)

Delicious food fast service and it's great consistently

Ordered take away. When it didn't appear, we tried ringing to see where it was. Kept getting voicemail. After 2 hours Claire called to see why we hadn't picked up our food. I realised I then hadn't paid for delivery on app. I asked what happens now. She said you will have to pay driver delivery. I was happy to do that but not for food that was sitting 2 hours. She said they would not do fresh food for me. Either I took what was sitting for 2 hours or they throw it out. No allowances for error on app and dreadful customer services. So they will refund me and apparently throw the food out!! How much would it have cost them to redo it?? Won't use again or recommend

Ordered honey chill chicken last night chicken was very stringy rest of the order was cold curry sauce lumpy disgusting.. thank god I ate very little of it as had severe vomiting afterwards won't be ordering again 🤢

After food tonight would give it no starts but could not leave a review. Food was absolutely disgusting for a high price, not sure with it is because every where else is closed and they are trying to push out to many orders, but with standard slipping they would be better closing till things get back to normal,as I won't be back after the food tonight.

Easily the worst chineese I've ever had... Asked for extra peppers and onions,didnt get any at all. Asked for hot peaking chicken extra spicy.. I don't even think what I have is peking chicken, its like lemon and ginger and overall just bland and disappointing... The tin of Coke is spot on tho

Customer service is shocking, staff are not understanding! I had ordered an item which came with prawns and was not stated it came with seafood. Staff member raised her voice and just said I don't think this Chinese is for you. Was told if I had a problem I have to come and say it to managers face. Won't be back due to the DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

First time getting out of new gaze and will be the last salted chilli chicken was.just chicken in batter no salted chilli on it at all and salted chilli chips had chilli flakes over them very disappointed

Very disappointed with the food I received last night, I paid £18 for my order and the quality was very poor. I tried to ring and complain and got an answer machine, when I did eventually get through the staff member was very rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend it to anyone.

This is my local. Food always good and prepared quickly except for when they're really busy. No reason for me to go elsewhere. Only downside is its cash only but there's an ATM next door at the Spar.

Phoned up to order. Phone first rand out to voicemail, but didn't give me an opportunity to leave a message. Phoned back and the phone was answered with a curt "Please hold" and the handset was set down. Proceed to hold for 10 mins listening to the staff taking other orders (fair enough - they were busy), then making fun of the previous telephone order. They then had a bit of a chat before another phone rang, which they answered and took the new order. Hung up and redialled. Was told "please hold" again, but managed to get in and explain before they set the phone down again that they'd already put me on hold. The girl on the phone then got quite defensive and said that they were very busy. I explained that I could hear her previously, that after she dealt with the other orders, she had a chat with her friend then proceeded to take a later calls (didn't mention that I'd heard her making fun of other customers). No response, so I hung up and took my business elsewhere.

Chips were raw and not cooked. They were more like boiled potatoes. Honey Chilli Chicken tasted rubbery and very watery. Very disappointed and annoyed that I only noticed when I got home 10 minutes from shop. Phoned to complain and staff totally rebuked my comments. Didn't offer to do anything to compensate me. Staff clearly can't cope with numbers on a Saturday night. Such a let down and won't be going back.

Food arrived not as described. Prawn fried rice was not cooked. Prawns still had their digestive tract. Rang the restaurant. Manager hadn't the guts to speak to me and refused a refund. Staff were belligerent. WILL NOT BE BACK
