New Bombay in Bedford

Very very good food. Hot. Tasty and full of flavour. Not greasy, but not too thick. The popadoms are not thin and the naan is beautifully baked. Happy.

Delicious restaurant food at home. I cannot rate it highly enough

Always on point been getting food from them for years now plus they always been top quality

Usually delicious, ordered many times from here, still recommend them but today the naan bread felt stale and one of my chicken pieces had a fatty bit. Again they are a tasty takeaway, will order again.

Usually wonderful and my go to Indian take away, but was disappointed this time. Both meats in my chicken and lamb dishes were very tough and there wasn’t much flavour to the jalfrezi as usual.

Hemos tenido muchas noches exitosas aquí para cenar a lo largo de los años. El personal es muy servicial y la comida siempre es sabrosa. El propietario se enorgullece de su garantía de que los platos están recién cocinados. Puedo testificar que esa afirmación se refleja plenamente en el sabor de los platos. A menudo pido platos “fuera del menú”, por ejemplo “panel de chile” y están felices de consentirme. Es un plato sabroso que recomiendo. . , está caliente pero no demasiado. Recomendaría el NB! ¡Nunca decepcionan!

normally really delicious however tonight the lamb in the dish was really chewy couldn't actually eat many pieces and the chicken in a separate dish was really dry. disappointed today unfortunately.

Korma was so sweet , overriding taste was sugar. Unpleasant and sickly . Everything else was good but spoilt meal

We ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala as a takeaway and what was served was absolutely nothing like that, both were same curries with coconut in it one was orange and another red in texture and was very sweet, on contacting the restaurant i was told that chicken tikka masala is supposed to be sweet and it does contain coconut, Its absolutely disgusting and being an Indian I obviously know the recipe to both dishes . This is an absolute scam and fooling people around in the name of Indian authentic dishes. Very very disappointing because nothing comes for free and i think we deserve the authenticity for what we are paying. This restaurant should actually stop saying to people that butter chicken and chicken tikka masala contains COCONUT and is supposed to be SWEET

Muy pobre, ordenado pollo tikka main consiguió pollo tikka starter reemplazo llegó frío. Otro plato sobre especias sin sabor. llamado para explicar grosero y dirigido a solo el este para su reembolso. utilizado aquí antes de ningún número, pero esta noche fue tan malo que no se utilizará de nuevo.

Una excelente noche en el delicioso restaurante New Bombay. Una maravillosa variedad de platos fueron preparados por expertos para nosotros, que se veía excelente y tenía un sabor absolutamente magnífico. Mi cordero jalfrezi era simplemente sublime. Me impresionó el ambiente amable y me pareció que el personal era muy atento. Recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera que busque una gran casa de curry local!

Tuve un parto y la comida estaba fría... pero también me dio un estómago muy malo. Me desperté a las 5 am estando enfermo y atado al baño durante horas. Sospecho, por lo duro que era el cordero, que fue reutilizado de un día anterior y terminé con una intoxicación alimentaria. Absolutamente s**t y nunca voy a volver a usarlos. Aconsejo a otros que eviten este restaurante y estoy informando a los estándares de alimentos para una reevaluación de sus calificaciones de salud.

Esperé dos horas para nuestra entrega y cuando finalmente llegó hacía frío helado. Obviamente había sido dejado por más de una hora antes de que lo entregaran. Arruinada nuestra noche nunca volverá a usar

El servicio para llevar es terrible. Pedido vía Deliveroo. Recibimos la orden equivocada. Llamé al restaurante y hablé con un miembro del personal que dijo que no era su culpa, que era de Deliveroo. Hablé con el gerente que no me dejó hablar. Él no tomaría ninguna responsabilidad en absoluto. Atención al cliente impactante. Luego me amenazó con acciones legales si dejo una mala crítica. Hay mejores lugares en Bedford, no pierda su tiempo o dinero.

Food was flavourless and watery, almost like it had been frozen and stuck in a microwave. Sent us 2 peshwari nans instead of 1 peshwari and 1 plain. Plain rice was not cooked properly and cold in places. Prawn korma very underwhelming for almost £14, would not recommend

We order from here fairly regularly and it’s always lovely, unfortunately this time round it was late, cold we had to reheat everything. The consistency of the sauce was different and a little unpleasant. We couldn’t eat it unfortunately. Shame :-(

Best Indian in Bedford by Far. In Honesty some may go for Three Rooms but The chicken Moricha Here Tops everything. Overall great dishes, always deliver with a smile too

I have enjoyed takeouts and sit in meals at New Bombay, and I have enjoyed every experience. The staff are great, takeout are always on the early side and piping hot, and the food is amazing. Would really recomend this to anyone.

I’ve been using these guys as long as they’ve been open on a regular basis and I’m very disappointed today with two hours delivery and Luke warm - very sad

We were given an original delivery time. We were then texted to say it would be 30 minutes later than originally advertised. It then arrived 20 minutes later than that. we've never had a problem with new bombay delivery before so we are really quite shocked at the poor service. no reason given by the restaurant. Food was usual taste but could have been hotter.

Terrible , over an hour late . I rang three times - first time was told it had left and would “definitely” be with me in 10 mins - 45 minutes later at 3rd call I was told on the phone that the first person had lied and it had just left , would be another 10-15. Food was COLD COLD COLD - do not use !!!!

The food was very nice , the only disappointing thing was that we ordered 2 x Lamb tikka starter and we got chicken ... it was too late in the day to wait for any sort of exchange so we ate the chicken but I also double checked the order and it does say Lamb although I can see the reason it might be confusing but that's to do with the online stuff but we did definitely chose lamb .. we cant fault on the food itself tho ...

Always such excellent attentive service and food is really good. Nothing is too much trouble and they will adjust a dish to how you like it. Definitely why they're Bedford's oldest Indian restaurant 😍

Peshwari nan lacked flavour. Chicken Mango korma was average. Nothing special. Unlikely to buy from here again.

So so pleased with absolutely everything about this place! Me and my partner spontaneously decided at 10:20 that we wanted to go for an Indian somewhere, we rang and asked if we could still be seated in the restaurant as it was so late and they said they were happy for us to come in. We arrived with beautiful service greeted at the door shown to our table, seen to in perfect timing, drinks and poppadoms were delivered quickly. The food was absolutely superb everything was delicious and fresh, we took everything we couldn’t finish home with us and we can’t wait to go back!

Ordered through uber eats. Items from the order missing. When called to advise on this, the person on the phone was in no rush to help, advising they can bring missing item, however it would be a while.

I’m a regular customer of New Bombay. This time the food was nowhere near up to their usual excellent standards which was a disappointment. Food was late but I appreciate that ordering at 7.20pm is the busy time for the restaurant. I do not expect the food quality to drop though

Not only was it late but probably the worst curry I’ve ever had. Food was cold on arrival and the keema naan smelt like the meat was rotten and also tasted awful which meant majority of the meal was binned. A real shame, I won’t be ordering from them again

We arrived approximately 8:15 on a Saturday night but were able to get a table. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much for them. The food was excellent, loads of flavour and piping hot. We found everything to be really good value and will happily visit when we are next in the area.

Used this restaurant and never had any problems before but today the food arrived cold which was disappointing but hopefully its a one off incident
