New Bombay in Bedford

I have enjoyed takeouts and sit in meals at New Bombay, and I have enjoyed every experience. The staff are great, takeout are always on the early side and piping hot, and the food is amazing. Would really recomend this to anyone.

Only reason jot 5 stars was food temperature otherwise grest tastes and good quality food would be definitely go to eat in

Food was late 2 times. Not spicy was cold. Was late too.

The food was very nice , the only disappointing thing was that we ordered 2 x Lamb tikka starter and we got chicken ... it was too late in the day to wait for any sort of exchange so we ate the chicken but I also double checked the order and it does say Lamb although I can see the reason it might be confusing but that's to do with the online stuff but we did definitely chose lamb .. we cant fault on the food itself tho ...

Food quality is very bad Manager is not cooperative. Tava roti is like a papad. Nam bada par kam chota.It ia famous only for airport landing and takeover We will not come again

Always such excellent attentive service and food is really good. Nothing is too much trouble and they will adjust a dish to how you like it. Definitely why they're Bedford's oldest Indian restaurant 😍

As usual can’t fault, hot delicious and delivered early!

So so pleased with absolutely everything about this place! Me and my partner spontaneously decided at 10:20 that we wanted to go for an Indian somewhere, we rang and asked if we could still be seated in the restaurant as it was so late and they said they were happy for us to come in. We arrived with beautiful service greeted at the door shown to our table, seen to in perfect timing, drinks and poppadoms were delivered quickly. The food was absolutely superb everything was delicious and fresh, we took everything we couldn’t finish home with us and we can’t wait to go back!

Peshwari nan lacked flavour. Chicken Mango korma was average. Nothing special. Unlikely to buy from here again.

Ordered through uber eats. Items from the order missing. When called to advise on this, the person on the phone was in no rush to help, advising they can bring missing item, however it would be a while.

Food lovely. Great service. Was there in a group of 6 on a Friday night 7pm to 9pm and wasnt crowded.

We’ve not visited recently and I’m pleased to say that we were not disappointed when we visited last night. The food was up to its normal high standards and packed full of flavour. Couldn’t fault anything. Shish and his team were all on top form and made sure everything was ok. We are spoilt in Bedford as we have quite a few Indian restaurants to choose from but I personally believe New Bombay is up there with the best. Looking forward to our next visit soon. Cheers Nick

The food was very nice , hot and delivered within the time given so what's not to like

I’m a regular customer of New Bombay. This time the food was nowhere near up to their usual excellent standards which was a disappointment. Food was late but I appreciate that ordering at 7.20pm is the busy time for the restaurant. I do not expect the food quality to drop though

Not only was it late but probably the worst curry I’ve ever had. Food was cold on arrival and the keema naan smelt like the meat was rotten and also tasted awful which meant majority of the meal was binned. A real shame, I won’t be ordering from them again

We arrived approximately 8:15 on a Saturday night but were able to get a table. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much for them. The food was excellent, loads of flavour and piping hot. We found everything to be really good value and will happily visit when we are next in the area.

Used this restaurant and never had any problems before but today the food arrived cold which was disappointing but hopefully its a one off incident

Very tasty food, lot's of option in the menu with good price. Staff is polite and service is on the good level. Only one thing should be improved. We visited this place in winter and when we went to the toilet, the windows were open and it was really cold inside that you couldn't use it!

Fodd we received is good but the onion bhajees were missing off the order!👎🏼

Samosas were empty and undercooked and fried. Chips were cold and soggy. Curry mediocre. Salmon tasted like it was frozen and reheated.

The food as always was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. Delivery was fast and delivered by a polite and courteous person. Overall a good experience and great value will certainly order again.

Delivery time wasn’t an issue, did get a text to say it would be later than expected. Food quality not as good as it used to be. Wasn’t too hot by the time it was delivered. There was 3.5 pieces of chicken in the chicken tikka container. Chicken shashlik was tasteless. Onion bhajee used to be my favourite from here, but not as good now, unsure why they seem cooked from frozen and not very crispy. Ceylon wasn’t very spicy. Looked forward for this and was quite disappointed.

It arrived cold and I didn’t have time to reheat sadly. Onion bhajis had been replaced with something I didn’t recognise since I stayed well clear! I am sure it was fine but it just looked .

Items in bag were wrong. Told me they are to busy to send more out so to contact just eat for a refund. Absolutely disgusting. Been using these for years but now they don't care about anyone just worry about ghe money in their pocket

Food tasted nice but a little suggestion for the restaurant would be if a clients order is going to be later than first thought, chuck a few complimentary poppadoms or a starter in as a thank you for waiting and your custom. This is why I have marked your rating down! Bit stingy!!

Arrived without the poppadom dips that were ordered with it. And Food arrived slightly warm but disappointing. But the flavour of the chicken tikka was nice.

Samosas had meat when meant to be vegetable. Korma had no flavour, as did the naans.

Was visiting Bedford so on recommendation booked a table for 2. Was not disappointed. Food outstanding. Service great. Staff very attentive. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend a visit. Will definitely be back.

Such a shame, this is a great place for a mid week take away but at the weekend it’s a bit rubbish. Really fast service and great value during the week and great food that’s consistent in its quality. Total lottery at the weekend on usual dishes and freshness
