The Food in your restaurant is very bad, I eat it and my stomach is upset, and now I am running around the house and bathroom, I will file a case on your behalf staff and authority.

Always such excellent attentive service and food is really good. Nothing is too much trouble and they will adjust a dish to how you like it. Definitely why they're Bedford's oldest Indian restaurant 😍

So so pleased with absolutely everything about this place! Me and my partner spontaneously decided at 10:20 that we wanted to go for an Indian somewhere, we rang and asked if we could still be seated in the restaurant as it was so late and they said they were happy for us to come in. We arrived with beautiful service greeted at the door shown to our table, seen to in perfect timing, drinks and poppadoms were delivered quickly. The food was absolutely superb everything was delicious and fresh, we took everything we couldn’t finish home with us and we can’t wait to go back!

Ordered through uber eats. Items from the order missing. When called to advise on this, the person on the phone was in no rush to help, advising they can bring missing item, however it would be a while.

Food lovely. Great service. Was there in a group of 6 on a Friday night 7pm to 9pm and wasnt crowded.

We arrived approximately 8:15 on a Saturday night but were able to get a table. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much for them. The food was excellent, loads of flavour and piping hot. We found everything to be really good value and will happily visit when we are next in the area.

Not spicy, but also hardly any flavour I felt to add some spices and curry paste.. lamb rogan Josh could’ve got away with being tomato soup. Lamb korai had no sort of kick to it and the same sauce from the rogan.. peshwari naan with no filling? Lots of good reviews but I’m shocked and disappointed tasted like there wasn’t a single spice used in the cooking ..

Very tasty food, lot's of option in the menu with good price. Staff is polite and service is on the good level. Only one thing should be improved. We visited this place in winter and when we went to the toilet, the windows were open and it was really cold inside that you couldn't use it!

Wow! This place is a real hidden gem and one we’ll certainly be returning to when we next gig in Bedford. We booked in advance as we needed a table for eight scheduled for approximately 10.15pm. Despite it being late, they agreed to take our booking and fortunately we managed to arrive on time. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely amazing with some interesting choices on the menu. We couldn’t have faulted the ambiance or anything else for that matter. Price wise they were very reasonable, especially as we are used to London prices. We will definitely be back!

We ordered curry for our wedding from New Bombay for 20 people and needless to say it was a hit. The food was amazing, they delivered everything on time and they made it easy to identify each person’s order. All of our guests were happy with their chosen meal, where all orders were correct and still very hot when they arrived. Thank you for helping make our day even more special.

Outstanding service. Young man called Khaled took our order and recommended us the Shashlik Bhuna and was I glad I listened! Moorish and succulent they’re not shy with their portions!! Very reasonably priced thank god there is Indian restaurants like this still around!! You shall definitely see me again soon chaps! My new favourite restaurant in Bedford!

Pleasant atmosphere.Food was really excellent and was served up in platters which seemed larger than we were used to at other Indian Restaurants. I don't often go for this type of food. There are many different genres of Indian food here in Bedford. Tonight I fancied something a little more 'traditional'. They came up with the goods. Food tasty, service excellent. I'll certainly be back.

Went here with my parents and had a delicious meal. Everything was tasty and the staff were lovely.

It seemed liked they had put sugar instead of salt in all the food. The “highly rated” butter chicken was so disappointing!!

What a find! Our ‘Curry Tour’ continued with a visit to the New Bombay in Bedford with 3 in our party to pass judgement. The restaurant decorate is modern and very clean with proper napkins from paper ones. Waiting staff were very pleasant, welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. The obligatory poppadoms and pickle tray were ordered to benchmark against other restaurants and they were great. The poppadoms were obviously freshly cooked, warm and crisp with the pickle tray being very tasty with fantastic spiced onions and lovely riata. They were fully demolished. Mains were ordered, with a vegetable balti madras and 2 chicken dishes selected. These were epic! Full of flavour and tase. Rice portions were good and plenty to share one between two. We chose a garlic naan and a cheese naan, with both being absolutely fantastic. We all agreed that since our Curry Tour started, this is one of the absolute best we have come across. It may actually be THE best. Cost wise, we all thought is was very cheap and great value. Cannot recommend enough. 5+ stars! We will be back!!!

Had my 70th birthday party there with 37 guests. Service, staff and food were all 100%. Would highly recommend for either party or evening with your partner.

So dissapointed with the takeaway tonight. It was cold so had to put the oven on to heat up the food which was not happy about. We all said not alot of taste to the food, samosas came in a bag so no wonder they were cold but also tasteless, bharjis were swimming in fat and all of us said we would never order from here again. New Bombay used to be a great takeaway years ago but not now.

This place is a joke. It sounds ridiculous but we ordered 3 poppadoms and only received 2. We rang up to make them aware about the mistake and we were called liars and they’d checked the CCTV and they’d packed 3. Poppadoms cost 80p… why would we waste our time if we were lying?! Honestly the place is laughable and can’t accept a mistake. Don’t order from here unless you’re happy to have items missed from your delivery!

We were able to select our starters and mains without feeling rushed, from a varied menu which wasn't to extensive. My friend and I ordered the King Prawn Puri for starters which was very tasty. The prawns were tender and served in a delicious, spicy tomato masala sauce, served on a crisp and light deep fried puri. For our mains my friend ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala curry, and I ordered the Prawn Biryani. The waiting time between courses was just right in my opinion, enough time to allow a the conversation to follow between courses. The portion sizes are very generous, maybe to generous as I couldn't finish all my main (which for me is a rarity). The food is tasty and at a very reasonable price. We shall return again. Thank you for a lovely meal.

My family took me to this restaurant a couple of times over the years that I visited them, and I was never disappointed. Having lived in Bangladesh for four years, I can attest to the wonderful authentic Bengali dishes that Shish and his team serve in this restaurant. The staff is welcoming and professional in this lovely, clean restaurant. They do not hesitate to answer questions about the different dishes. Try some of their traditional Bengali dishes. You will not be disappointed! When you go, ask for Shish!

Food is nice don't get me wrong but 3/4 weeks in a row we have ordered from them and delivery time keeps getting put back meaning we are receiving food at 9pm and every time we get it there is something missing. Soooooo frustrating when the rest of the food is then cold waiting for the missing items to be delivered

Ordered a takeaway. Lovely chap took order. I had chicken bengal tenga. Absolutely delicious. The aloo gobi was a lovely side dish. The pilaow rice tasted so lovely and fresh. Could actually taste everything husband had chicken madras and he ate the lot. Only down side no complimentary poppadoms or chutney. All in all it was gorgeous. Would definitely do a meal out there. Food arrived over an hour late after 2 calls to the restaurant. When the food came it was cold, the samosa was very greasy, and the food in general was tasteless with a lot of salt. Will not be using again and do not recommend.

First time takeaway since it's been under the new management (I know, we're a bit slow on the uptake - it's nearly 2 years since they took over!!) and what a find. A Monday night takeaway - the food was delicious and the service first class. It's taken us a while to find them but we will definately be back very soon.

I'm vegetarian & ordered vegetable samosas they sent me meat. I called them & their response is they will refund me on my next order. I wont be ordering again so samosas in the bin & no understanding from them of the seriousness, the call handler clearly isnt vegetarian

Had quite a few takeaways recently from here. Quick delivery (many within 30 minutes). Very good quality food & friendly delivery drivers. Looking forward to getting back the the restaurant when we can.

The food is horrible and the service is terrible. When questioned about why the service was so bad I was asked if I had ever been here before which I answered “no”. The response was shocking saying well this is what it’s like so if you do not like it do not come back. Disgraceful. I would recommend mcdonalds or tasties in Queen’s Park over this place.
