Nergis Restaurant in Sheffield

I adore this place, the wonderful staff, the atmosphere, this simple ambiance. So very different to the pretentious eateries in the other parts of Sheffield. What you get here is good quality, food served by a culture of beautiful Iranian people. I particular like the fact that many families use this place to eat, as previously stated it is not at all pretentious but a genuine place of friendly open people serving beautifully tasty and nourishing food and without amy alcohol...which to me makes it all the more better. The area may have a reputation and their are times when it can be a plagued with issues, but in my opinion if you live in fear, you will find it follows you around. I certainly have never felt threatened while in the area...conversely I love the dynamic of this area, it's multicultural society etc. Real people live here and real food is served here.

Acabo de visitar esta noche con los compañeros de trabajo (los chicos de naranja) para una cena antes del turno de noche después de ser recomendado por uno de los muchachos. Todos tuvimos la parrillada mixta con ensalada y panes naan. La comida era increíble y asada a la perfección, el personal era muy amable y nos dio a todos un plato de sopa de lentejas de cortesía mientras esperábamos nuestra comida. La ensalada estaba crujiente y fresca y los naans eran ligeros y burbujeantes. Estaremos visitando nuevamente, muy recomendable.

Visité este lugar hoy por primera vez. La mitad de la semana, alrededor de las 3, no muy ocupada, pero lo suficientemente ocupada teniendo en cuenta que no era un fin de semana o una hora de comida. El personal fue muy amable, durante nuestra comida vinieron alrededor de 3 veces para comprobar si todo está bien. Muy buena comida y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Hemos ordenado shish kabab, 4. 50 una porción. Tenemos 2 shish kabab cada uno, ensalada con algunas verduras asadas y pan. Además de esto, la comida vino con algún tipo de sopa, houmous y otra salsa, 4 panes grandes / planos, más una botella de agua cada uno. Un montón de comida, todo muy sabroso y para 4. 50 cada uno. La comida que comí es similar a la que obtengo en mi restaurante turco favorito en Sheffield, pero el precio es 2 - 3 veces más barato. Muy buena relación calidad-precio, personal muy educado, servicio rápido, restaurante limpio, sin duda volveré de nuevo, quito los precios en un restaurante, realmente impresionado.

meaning to try this place and went in with the misses. really good food and would recommend the quzy (I think it was called) tender lamb with rice and a sauce made from different veggies. the mixed grill was ok, but not the best. but for the price you cant go wrong.

Espléndido. Excelente servicio y una increíble relación calidad-precio. Definitivamente regresaré muy pronto. Solo tengo que desafiar a Spital Hill.

Came for a midweek lunch. Place was busy and had to sit at a table with someone else. No problem. Ordered and was swiftly brought a free soup and bottle of water. Food arrived (ordered lamb and chicken with rice) and it came with a vegetable sauce, huge naan and salad. All for £6. Can't fault it really. Fast food but good quality.

The food here is freshly cooked and simple yet very tasty.. come here quite often as it's a really good Arabic/ Kurdish restaurant. They have a really nice open kitchen and it's also clean..

Upon arrival they will serve you free soup and a free bottle of still water. Then you order the meal etc. So on my last occasion we had a Lamb Quzi ( 2 Big pieces of soft lamb on the bone) with a sauce of either okra in tomato sauce or kurdish style aubergines and vegetable in a rich sauce plus Rice plus a Freshly made Nan plus Salad...more than enough to fill any appetite all for just £6.00 !!!..amazing value. They also do similar meals with Grilled Kebabs and other cooked Kurdish dishes. Obviously its Spital Hill and it used to have a reputation as being dangerous later at night. However this place closes at a respectable 9pm so its not a late night venue.
