For two weeks, we started most mornings in Kilkeel with big, welcoming smiles and delicious, reasonably priced breakfasts from Janet and her staff at Neptune's Larder Cafe. Highly recommend this cafe for breakfast and lunch. David and Marian

A great place hidden away by the harbour. Quick service, friendly staff, great value, good portions and delicious food. The fish and chips are very fresh and tasty and at around £6 it’s great value for money. I’ll definitely be back!

Back again for a delicious plate of fresh scampi and chips. Local fishermen and harbour workers eat here. High viz clothing is often worn but not necessary to get a fresh hot meal and be made to feel welcome

Take a plastic box for yourspares. You will be a very greedy person if you get through your whole platefull at one sitting. l have never seen such huge haddocks enough for two people if you are kind enough to share.....no chance it was too delicious! My companion had a crab salad. We would have been there long after closing time as the portion was huge.....hence the need for the plasticbox. We were too full to attempt a sweet, cant wait to come back.Spotlessly clean premises very friendly and obliging staff

A simple basic cafe that local fishermen use. The fish is very fresh and well served in an informal atmosphere. A great place to find at Kilkeel harbour. Very good value and a hidden gem for lunch

Out for the day to do some coastal fishing, spotted this place as I drove into the harbour area. Thought "Breakfast" and went in, Order at counter and take a seat, food is served to you. I got a large fry(see picture) and a Latte. Prices quite cheap, food excellent and so was the service. I enjoyed my breakfast with a lovely view over the harbour and then went fishing. Unfortunately after a couple of hours the rain started so I retired back to the Neptune for further sustenance. I had a lovely piece of cake with another Latte, again very reasonable prices and the cake was delicious. Staff very friendly and the service very quick even with the place being quite busy with the local fishermen and others
