Great food, great service, amazing staff

Came here everyday for lunch as the place was recommended by a colleague, and the food and service were excellent. Recommend.

Lovely little café. Whole family had plenty of options. Kids loved their food, as did I. Clean. Lovely lady running place. Recommended.

Visited here this morning with my friend for breakfast , what a brilliant wee cafe/restaurant! So cosy and welcoming. The staff are so friendly. Food was delicious. We will definitely be regulars. Keep up the hard work. 😊

Had brunch here this morning. Food ok. Lady that served us however was not. I got a wrapped ciabiatta, taken from a stand on the counter, waved in my face and told it was a panini, when I questioned my order. I ordered a panini and got a ciabiatta. Won't be back and certainly wouldn't recommend.

Passed this lovely looking little place many times, but didn't realise they did takeaways until a colleague got one. Called in and it's as lovely inside as it looks from the outside. Very friendly and efficient staff. Food was really good too. Coffee smelt great!

From entering this little oasis close to the centre of Newry one is immediately met by the feeling that something good lies ahead. The tasteful decor and ambiance just ooze 'hygge'. The warm welcome from the attentive staff reinforce our first impressions. Once ensconced on our comfortable bench seats we are able to absorb the perfect Saturday morning experience. Our choices from the comprehensive menu prove to be inspired and we are all left entirely satisfied and longing for our return to this truly top class establishment. The omelette which I chose was even better than one of my own highly regarded creations. Full marks to the chef. If you happen to visit Newry then Icatu is a must Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. Me and my mummy had an Americanino coffee and I had a carrot cake with cream and she porridge. Even tho it was busy we got seen too very fast at most 2 mins Shes a regular goer to this place and she makes sure she goes here before her shopping. Great food great service and quick and very friendly.

Called in for pancakes and coffee. It was ok but nothing special. Ordered a mocha which was quite watery and tasted awful. The food arrived very quickly and appeared to have been reheated in a microwave. When paying I was asked if everything was ok and I said it was not too bad. Judging by reactions it was not what the staff expected or wanted to hear either.

Lovely staff and amazing food! Me and my partner went in for some breakfast and we were not disappointed, I got a full fry and a cup of tea and he got a full roll,the portions were good. We couldn't even finish all of it. Would defiantly go back

What a lovely place to have breakfast. First time and staff so welcoming and great banter. Had the full breakfast and couldn't stop talking about it so went the day after as well. Asked for Orange juice and when I finished it got a free refill. Great place to have breakfast.

This place has been open quite some time and we never really bothered to try it before now as we used the Sugar Supper Club just across the road. It’s now called No 14 and we find it’s often closed now at breakfast times including today. We were at dinner a few weeks ago, with friends, in the Yellow Heifer and we were told that this place did some very good food. So in we went: it’s a darn good place for breakfast and they have some daily papers to read. We’ve been twice now and twice we’ve had the big breakfast which includes tea or coffee. They rustle up a years supply of cholesterol on a hot plate: freshly - cooked crispy bacon, white & black pudding, pork sausages, tomato, fried egg, beans, potato & soda bread. The service is ace friendly and it’s cosy warm. Parking close by is a bit of a bummer though. This is our latest go to place for breakfast

There are quite a few coffee shops in the town now, and I've been to most. However Icata has become our regular. Great coffee and food, but what makes them stand head & sholders above the rest are the broad welcoming smiles, and the bit of craic. Very genuine warm welcome.

Good location. Looks like locals loves this place. Unfortunately the breakfast was horrible (the products weren't fresh) and staff too flirty, wich made me feel uncomfortable.

Been there a couple of times now. First time we had a scone and a sausage sandwich and today we had the full breakfast. The food is really good and the service equally as good and friendly! Very good value for money! We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I went to Newry last Saturday and a friend brought us to Icatu. We got a really warm welcome from Donna which was great. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We didn't feel under any pressure to leave. Tea and coffee were refilled when we needed it. Altogether Donna and her staff are amazing, so friendly and cheerful. Will definitely call back here again next time we're in Newry. Thanks Donna and Staff.

Called in to icatu last weekend for a snack and loved the menu, we ordered and we were served very quickly alot and tasty dish. Daily papers were available for to read while waiting, value for money and tasty try it you won't be disappointed

Beautiful cosy and relaxed cafe, the food is GORGEOUS 💕 can't recommend it highly enough. Donna the owner is a star, she is great craic and knows what you want before you know yourself. Excellent coffee and location too.

Visited here twice - once for a takeout sandwich on the run. Tasty fresh bread, small selection of fillings but enough to suit all tastes/dietary requirements. Also it was a nice little touch to put some crisps in a little takeaway bag as you'd get on the side of a plate. Visited the second time with my Mum for coffee, very tasty coffee. Tray bakes looked lovely but we couldn't be tempted on this occasion. Lovely little cafe, very nice staff and decor. Will definitely revisit regularly.

Called here today and had an excellent cappuccino. Very tastefully designed shop with pleasant staff. Highly recommended.

This is a review from my last visit. I haven't been in since my last visit as all the staff has changed and the menu I always say if it's not broken don't try and fix it

There has been a lot of money put into the finish of this cafe ,very high speck the coffee was lovely but I was too early for scones , I believe they are very tasty , very friendly member of staff was on , will return soon.

Small and friendly coffee shop. Staff were friendly and chatty, I usually go to Grounded in Newry coz the serve great coffee, but have to say I had a great cappuccino here and a lovely brownie. Will definitely be stopping here again.

I walked into the shop and the staff were very Pleasant and friendly. The shop was busy but i got served quickly. Very reasonably price also will definitely be back thanks.
