A nice place to visit. Despite the house being closed, we had a lovely walk through the paths - the park looked amazing when covered by snow. Worth coming back in the summer.

Speke Hall is a beautiful historic Tudor building that should be cherished forever. A brilliant day out. Our two year old grandaughter loved it here and so did we. Coastal walk, nature walks, gardens, play park, maze, woodland play area, Childe of Hale giant trail, cafe, tea rooms, ice cream hut and much more. Lots to do and see. Staff and the facilities are very good. An excellent day. Recommended.

Couldn't even go inside as the queue was incredibly long. They should at least have a system in which to communicate to the front desk to let people know. There weren't any benches for elderly to sit on when waiting in line either as far as I could see. The one good thing I will say is that the front desk are very welcoming however. As for the decorations outside (since we couldn't get in) they were very lacking. Apart from a single section with three small trees with cute wooden school made baubles and singular christmas tree with knitted veg hanging off it which had no information about it there really wasn't anything. Even they were basic on their own despite how sweet the idea is. The decorations are a small complaint, because for the price of entry you'd expect more, but more importantly, quite a few paths that aren't supposed to be muddy, we're muddy and it was dangerous for my elderly relative who we had to help walk on the grass instead. And not only that, but when she went to the loo it was in an awful mess. (I have reviews the cafe separately but I will say here that it is unacceptable) I would not come again if we had to pay. I have a membership and still wouldn't bother visiting unless passing by and need to walk the dog.

Lovely grounds for a walk, if you follow the coastal path you can see the airplanes landing. The house itself is beautiful with lots of interesting facts and. I was lucky enough to win free tickets so decided to visit, I was a bit disappointed that the upstairs wasn't open, apparently they close it during Christmas, this should be told to visitors at the main reception because if you pay and only get to see half it would be nice to know beforehand. What made this visit special was the amazing volunteers that shared lots of interesting facts and answered any questions I had.

A beautiful place well worth a visit. Suitable for all ages, no matter if you're having a family day out or just a quiet stroll by yourself. Great outdoor area with a huge park, children's playground, and labyrinth. There's also a little book shop and restaurant. Speke Hall itself is a fascinating place with beautiful architecture and a slightly magical atmosphere. Don't be confused if you should feel a bit sea sick if you're walking down its dark, narrow corridors. The body needs to adjust to how the house was built. If you have questions about anything, there are friendly and knowledgeable guides about everywhere. It's a must-see place, even more than once.

Brilliant day out. We also joined Beatles childhood house tour - (extra £12 per adults with national trust membership, if you do not have NT membership, it will be over £30 per person). Both Speke hall and Beatles tour made our day perfect. When you visit Speke hall, allow yourself plenty of time (at least 2-3 hr) as the garden and woods area are amazing! The sounds of birds and trees, just like small lake district). For Beatles tour, we asked staff if we can get with pram as we were not really sure how it works. They said we can but we need to inform the bus driver. So we went there 10 min ealier the departure, unfortunately bus driver told us we cannot bring pram. Therefore, we rushed to our car put things back! However, it worked all ok in the end- the point is that you get on minibus for Beatles childhood tour and that does not allow you to bring pram. Anyways, when you visit John and Paul’s house, it is very busy with other tour people. So, you need a baby carrier!

This is a lovely place. Nice walks in the grounds and beyond. Often crowded near the maze and children's playground, and by the house, but the woods and Bund are usually less busy. And you can walk down to the river. Watch the aircraft. The bluebells in spring are a must-see! And the shady woods are cool and pleasant on a hot day.

Spooky speke hall event October 24, was a little disappointing, the guide although a lovely lady didn't really talk about the history of the house or the people who lived there, just about other visitors experiences, would have been so much more enjoyable if she had. Didn't really get to see much either just a couple of rooms and the room with the most history we didn't visit, which personally I think would have been more eerie if we had. Nothing spooky happened but still a lovely house to visit.

A lovely Hall in a very unexpected location close to the airport. As expected with a National Trust property it is very well kept. There were plenty of staff on hand to answer questions and were very knowledgeable. We attended when a Halloween trail was on and it kept my youngest child nicely entertained. Being October the weather wasn't the best but in Summer I'm sure it would be great for picnics. We did the maze which ok, but some of the viewing decks were closed as they had fallen into disrepair.

A wonderfully preserved historic house. The volunteers were all friendly and helpful. Whilst making great play of recycled take away cups that you're charged a premium for and other recycled products for sale. Their efforts to help the environment doesn't extend to enabling the planet conscious visitor to separate their waste. Obviously they may sort the waste from all bins but there's no indication it's the case. Whilst there was no wait to enter the grounds there was a long queue to enter the house. With my health issues this was difficult and I suggest that timed tickets would allow everyone including the health compromised like myself to fully enjoy the house.

As manx people we were very happy to see our flag on the stained glass windows! The grounds have a stunning array of flowers and a kitchen garden which the kids loved seeing. The woodland play area was a big hit and they loved the maze too. We visited the cafe and book shop too which were a nice break from the rain. Theres also two ice cream pop ups with Cheshire farm ice cream, which is actually well priced. This place is amazing. It has two original bars, with the servery connecting them with a passage, then a larger room that the pub extended into may years ago. The interior is very special. there are curved walls, stain glass galore, lovely woodwork with carved gargoyles. the front bar has scenes from Dickens and the rear from Hogarth painted on the walls. 4 real ales on tap. One of the most unique pubs in the world.

Ok. In short, this is the number 1 pizza place in Liverpool. Specifically this Albert Dock restaurant. I have ate here many times. It offers the most authentic Italian pizza in Liverpool, the dough is almost identical to pizzas I’ve had in Naples. Their regular pizzas are always great and the specials are sometimes amazing. The staff are always fantastic, super friendly, and support the Italian atmosphere. They were lovely to allow us to bring our own tiramisu and we shared it with them. The drinks and dessert options are great. Aqua Panna is the best water in the world by the way. The tiramisu is very good too. This Albert Dock restaurant is the most conversation friendly as unlike the other two disco restaurants, this has the music playing on a lower volume. Overall 10/10
