It's been a while since we were in nandos and it has not changed it wants a total makeover before we go again

Greeted promptly at the entrance and seated efficiently. Ordered everything through the app, which resulted in quick service. However, there was a significant delay in receiving the two starters (chips and hummus) I had ordered. A friend who ordered a full chicken at the same time received their meal approximately 20 minutes earlier.

Horrendous service.. every time I order online there are multiple items missing. On numerous occasions to then ring up to get told refund may take up to 5 days that's all we can do. Shocking

Not been this one for a while as we tend to go Widnes, But this was really nice. Shame they ran out of straws, but still, food was quick and friendly staff.

20 Days and counting! Why has no one contacted me?! Day 18 And Nandos still owe me money! DAY 17 Nandos have still not bothered to contact me. DAY 16 Still no contact from anyone to resolve this and give me my money back! UPDATE! Even though someone has responded to this review. I still have had no other contact from Nandos to resolve this, wow! AVOID! STILL NOT HAD A REFUND!!! Appaling service! Still not had a refund for the order placed on the 28th of June. Phoned Deliveroo was told will be refunded. Phoned Nandos St Helens on July 4th and July 7th, with no answer at all. Called Deliveroo again was told my order was voided, but no refund was processed. They said it was Nandos I needed to contact. So I was directed to an online complaint form on the Nandos website where I entered my order no. loyalty card details and a screenshot of the order slot. Still not heard anything from them, no acknowledgement at all. Shocking service, they owe me money and my orange rewards I amassed totalling £19.98. I have noticed the past few times the service and food have not been up to par. They have been late preparing my food the last 4 times I have collected, and I waited 25 minutes over my collection time on 1 occasion. They must have an issue with staff. The food doesn't seem flavoured properly. There is always a group smoking near the side exit door, which gives off a bad image for the company and no one here seems to care. Previously, I had given this Nandos 5-Stars on here, but those days are long gone. It really has gone downhill. I'll be using the other Nandos I dip into on the way from work from now on. Never have this problem foods rarely late and always tastes good and the staff are much friendlier and more customer service oriented. Anyway, can someone contact me and refund me what I am owed??

You're hands will stick to the tables it's disgusting the food is grilled/burned without flavour. They don't care this place is the pits, use a decently managed Nandos elsewhere.

Lily's Victorian tea room Is home made food it very nice place to eat. The owns and staff really nice to I go if I was you. I in all the time as love food that much.

Food was burnt and child’s Nandino meal was far too hot and spicy. When we complained to manager Tom he was rude, arrogant, unprofessional, inconsiderate, uncaring, incompetent, unsympathetic, unprofessional, condescending and unapologetic. Don’t eat here unless you want to be spoken to like you’re scum by a useless manager with literally zero customer service skills if you have the audacity to complain. Tom you should get another job as you’re clearly not made for a position that requires customer service skills.

Dirty floor, great staff and cold food. Never one to complain, but Christ, doesn’t take much to mop the floor and heat the food. Worst meal for a long long time.

It’s a nice lay out in this Nandos. Food is fresh and staff are really friendly.

Besides the food that’s always good, the best thing about our visit was Emily. Emily is so polite, talkative in the best way and is an absolute credit to St Helens Nando’s! Had to leave a review!:)

I popped into the St Helens branch of Nando's while out shopping 🛍. I haven't visited this Nando's before. Upon entering, the staff were friendly and directed us to a table. It wasn't overly busy when we visited. We ordered our food at the counter, and the food arrived within 12 minutes of ordering. The meal I ate was good. A chicken thigh burger 🍔 with chips 🍟 and 🌽 on the cob. The burger was good and tasty. The peri chips were a little bland, I thought, and seemed slightly undercooked. The 🌽 was nice and juicy. Overall, the meal was ok👌🏿 and the atmosphere and service were good. Well worth a visit if in St Helens. There are toilets 🚻 which were clean when I used them.

We went to St Helen's branch for a change from our area. We were charged 4 bottom less drinks straightaway,seeing we were 4 on the table and the meal we have ordered were good for 4-5. It was just presumed that we want 4 instead of 1. My kids don't like fizzy drinks, and I myself doesn't drink that's why we only ordered 1 for my husband. My son got the wrong side dish for his nandinos ,we ordered rice and chips, corn and chips were given instead. Also when I have paid everything, I remembered I haven't shown my nandos card, then I asked which code do I enter from the receipt so I can add it manually, he said there is no code, he just took my nandos card and he said he'll have to add it manually. Well that was 14 March, and nothing is showing on my nandos card. Staff needs to be attentive, I might just go back to Wigan branch.

Originally just dropped by here to use their toilet but we ordered because of the pleasant smell of this restaurant. The food doesn't just smell good but also tastes good!!

We went and was seated straight away as it wasn’t busy, the food was delicious and came to us very quickly, and they even made us garlic bread and Mac and cheese when it was meant to be out of stock, the service was great and they was so friendly, especially Tom and Maddie, who made us laugh.

Always great food and atmosphere, by far one of the better Nandos in the North West.

Can't really go wrong with Nandos, food was good, chicken roulette wings to start, dessert was really nice too, chocolate pudding with ice cream and orange chilli sauce, sounds wrong but it was delicious, bit pricey, great service though

This was the third visit to this particular branch. Each time, it's been really poor compared to other Nando's restaurants. Last night, there were no forks, and lots of people waiting for them to be washed with their meals going cold. Stock up on forks. The people next to us had one meal given to them, and the next person got theirs 30 minutes later, because the staff had "just forgotten". Ours came after 40 minutes. Felt like the staff were more concerned with satisfying takeaway orders. On all 3 visits, the aircon has been on, even when it's -3 outside. We were literally told that it's for the staff because it is hot near the grill. On top of all this, it makes the customers so annoyed that they're all constantly swearing. I have a 10yr old and I couldn't even ask people to watch their mouths, because I could see why they were so angry. There are Nando's in Wigan, 3 in Warrington, another in the Trafford Center. I'd advise just driving a little further to those ones. Food is fine, but this one is just really poorly managed.

Just been in an ordered a takeaway came home to half my order not impressed especially after spending £60.00 . Rang up to complain and no one answers the phone

Nando's is my place if worship and I always enjoy my visits to their many locations around the UK. This isn't my first time at this venue either but I am saddened to say it was way below that of their sister venues (and my previous visits to here). On arrival we were welcomed but weren't informed about registering our car for the parking (we had in the past), then upon ordering our food was served but no cutlery was available, I requested it and was told "we have put it in for washing" I asked if they could bring over a fork when ready. I asked again after some time and was handed one, he had forgotten and by then my food was cold. The presentation of the food wasnt to their brand standards either, the chilli jam was a very small amount and served in a disposable carton on the plate, I realise that given what is going on in the world this isn't that grand but my reason for informing is that it's a brand, they have a SOP for their business and as a consumer you are paying for the same level of service standards that are set out in their expectations of delivery. I am writing this to be constructive, so that they can meet the levels of service of their peers and competitors and to not lose future business and revenue for the sake of a couple of easy fixes and attention to detail.

Remind me why I always go to Widnes instead of St Helen’s Nando’s Went today to St Helen’s. Not many staff around n what staff were there were like the walking dead. No loaded fries, they had run out at 1pm, ordered the new burger, got 3 lots of rice but only ordered 1 per meal. Got asked if I wanted a refund didn’t think I would need to be asked as not my mistake, so said no thanks but did wonder why my bill was more than normal. My burger was cold wasn’t as described on the menu, my sons was just ok but no TLC and not 1 person came over to see if everything was ok! Very disappointed and will only be going to Widnes from now on.

Always a lovely experience here. Claire is absolutely lovely. Always has a little chat and makes you feel very welcome.

today October 14th around 9pm me and my family to dinner at this restaurant and we were very disrespected by the employee Chloe, we were recording our videos and she accused us saying that we were making videos of her, her manager accused us and we had to show the video was never recorded and he apologized, then we asked for a box to take away the food and Chloe came to bring the box and dropped it on the floor and then threw the box on top of our food with angry, we didn't understand why we hadn't done anything to her and she treated us that way, then some boys came in with a lighter threatening everyone in the restaurant and the manager didn't do anything, he stood behind the counter watching, and I had to ask for him to do something, but when it came to accusing us of something we hadn't done, he immediately came to our table, but to defend the customers who were in the restaurant from the boys who wanted to hurt us, he did absolutely nothing! we are very upset about everything, this ruined our night. Thank you Chloe for being a terrible professional and not knowing how to respect clients who are PAYING for your services, thank you Chloe's manager for not training your employees in the correct way!!!!!

Food was OK not the usual standard from nandos the drinks were flat. The guy went to fix it. But still flat so paid for drinks which we were not able to drink, the staff were even pouring there's away

Hadn't had Nando's in years because my previous experiences had been a bit meh, but dicided to give it another go after hearing about this specific location. The food here was delicious. Got it to takeaway (picking it up myself), and it was ready quickly but with clear care into its preparation. The wings were especially good - juicy and falling off the bone. Service was delightful - my server Tom was very understanding and kind. The restaurant was clean, tidy, and very pretty. A 10/10 experience!

Perhaps just needs a little more attention to detail. Coke machine syrup was empty, cutlery watermarked, toilets a bit in need of a good clean, tables sticky but otherwise ok

The food was actually pretty decent, but as usual, the vegan option was sold out which was disappointing. This was only advertised after ordering online. Service was good.

I know the staff can’t help the wait but we were there before some of the others who got seated first, this is for the same amount of people too and no one can book/reserve as far as I’m aware. Long wait for food only for the chicken butterfly to taste burnt and to top it all off I had a severely upset stomach for a full week afterwards and couldn’t eat anything the following two days - assuming this is due to the cleanliness of the utensils and sauce bottles that are left on the side for everyone to touch. Sadly we won’t be coming back here!

Walked in with no one at the front l, we sat down waited 10 minutes to get the menu, the server said he will be back in a moment to get our order and we had waited 25 minutes so had to go to the front to order (with only 3-4 other customers in) waited for my sunset burger to be burnt and only cooked on one side after I had complained because I had half my burger and a few chips there was nothing he could do. Very disappointed especially with the cost and no other people in I expected alot better.

Full of young lads being loud and boisterous. Staff stood around on their phone or talking. Empty tables not cleaned for 20+ minutes. Food isn't great.

Expensive, groups of 2 or more people who ordered after me received thier meals before me (dining on my own). Area was strewn with discarded chicken bones on the floor which the staff were oblivious to and were a trip hazard. Atmosphere was unpleasant, young thugs rather than couples or families. I won't be returning.

I visited Nando’s 8/02/23, myself and my little brother who is severely autistic came for tea, as soon as we was greeted we was welcome with such great service, my little brother loves to sit on the biggest booth table right at the front that is normally for a large party of people or for staff however I didn’t even need to explain my brothers disability and just asked for it on a limb and this was no bother to the staff and they accommodated our request right away with no fuss! The lady at the till was also so friendly, I had left my card in the car and she allowed me to put my order threw so they could cook it whilst I went and got it, this was such a massive help as my little brother is extremely impatient and again I didn’t even have to explain or ask. All of the staff was so friendly, the food came out so quickly and was lovely! Such a great atmosphere and your staff are a credit to your establishment! Thank you for making it such a easy and pleasant experience for us!

Terrible delivery service from here order is always wrong or doesn't turn up!! Can't staff check orders before there sent out! The price you pay for a rubbish service, I won't bother ordering again from here

Visited with my partner for lunch today, Claire was a lovely waitress, offered to fill my glass for me as food had already arrived, and was generally very polite and welcoming:)

Greeted when we came in. Customer service was excellent. Not sure her name but she had blue hair was lovely. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Super friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. I always have chicken liver when I go to nandos and occasionally the frozen yogurt. The fro yo was so so nice. A must have! The vegetable sides were good too.

They had everything! Some deliciously spiced, tasty and very fresh meal; a sumptuous drink to wash the food down and an environment which made you want to eat more!! Marvellous.

i am shocked, ive asked for a large creamy mash and chips with my friends and each were £6 each. the chips are a good size but the mash, no. it was disappointing, i was expecting the mash to be the same size as the large chips. SIZE MATTERS. the staff talked to you like you were stupid and didn’t know sizes. well done nando’s you’ve lost 7 customers!!.

Popped in here for something quick and healthy to eat. Not been here since before Covid and it’s really gone down hill, the place just felt grotty, floor not very clean, tables tacky (as well as my menu) and many seats coverings were thread bare or damaged. And as for the toilets - unclean, seat broken and generally a mess. It was cold, with people still wearing their coats - and they only remedied this after we complained. Food - well it’s Nando’s so you always know what you’re getting and it’s generally good. But waiting over 1/2 hour because we ordered chicken breast, on a Saturday night - really! So, not a great visit and I we won’t be rushing back - better places in St Helens.

I went in at lunchtime whilst in the local area on business. I’m a fussy customer and the staff went above and beyond to customise my meal. Dillon was a huge help and is a real credit to this shop. I’d only all staff had the level of customer service he has it would be a nicer world!

Called in today with family as we have done many times before but today our host Claire really did make our stay so welcoming , she sat us in a lovely booth and nothing was to much for her , she checked on us asking how our food was and informed us that there was a car park and we would have to sign in showing us what to do nobody has ever informed us of this so we always struggle trying to find some we’re to park , food was delicious as always all staff very attentive my only thing was I felt like I was in the crystal maze trying to find the toilet it did make me laugh at one point as I was stuck in a room and couldn’t find the door 🤣

Nando's is Nando's... The food is brilliant!!! However they overcharged us for 2 meals (They did sort this out though once noticed).

Visited for tea. Had a good meal other than the chicken butterfly being over cooked & making it tough. Although this happened the manager came over to apologise personally. He refunded the chicken and gave us some deserts as an apology. Not great that this happened but it couldn’t have been dealt with better. The only other thing that wasn’t great was that is was a 35 minute wait for food.

Not busy yet we were told there was a 30 min wait for food, we did not mind since we were not I'm a hurry, we got a bottle of wine and just chilled out. The food came out and was not at all hot actually all three of us said that our food was not warm. Service was ok. But we did not enjoy the temperature of the food....

First time tried food from Nandos. Got 5 wings, with peri-peri sauce. The staff was very friendly and this is big asset for the company. Little disappointed with smallest wings I ever seen. The whole order can fit in my hand. I think, will be back to try something else.

Not my first choice but family wanted to go to Nando’s so I went along. Greeter on arrival was really happy and cheerful. A few things were out of stock but didn’t affect what we wanted. Used the online ordering for the first time, much much better than the old queue up and lose track of what you wanted system. Had a question about ingredients, greeter found out all the details for us. After placing order the manager approached to tell us there would be a longer than usual waiting time for the food and offered us two complimentary starters. When our mains arrived we were surprised that the sides were much bigger than we expected. Everything was cooked perfectly and we cleared the table. Lots of comments about what a good time we had had. Cheers, Nando’s. You’ve gone way up in my estimations.

Wasn't impressed. Felt like they wanted us out. Took about 15 minutes just to bring them horrible child like plastic cups over.

Been here loads of times, few things they had ran out of, went after 1pm..Wasn't very busy. Good as always.

One of our favourite places to eat. Never over crowded, sometimes you have to wait for a table, but they ask you to scan a qr code and join a digital waiting list, they then message you saying your table is ready and give you 10 minutes to return once you say you still want the table. We have had a couple of problems with the food but the company has been great in rectifying.

Won't be stepping foot in their again served by a young girl nicole with a real attitude problem no welcome or smile when we arrived made us feel really uncomfortable the restaurant wasn't busy and we didn't get a choice in seating. Went up to the till to order our food to have her rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing because I couldn't hear her mumbling over the counter what sides and spices we wanted especially that she got them wrong herself when I asked for mild we sat down and when our food arrived my girlfriend asked for mayo she came back and threw it on the end of the table definitely in the wrong line of work if that's your hospitality... for a resteraunt that specialises in chicken it was dry and was barely warm not worth the money .

Even though it was late on a Sunday, staff were still friendly and attentive, food was of the expected nandos standard and we weren't rushed to leave. Would go again
