Went to the Old Street nandos on Friday last week and found a bone in my boneless chicken thighs, proceeded to speak to the manager and he was incredibly obnoxious, with making me feel as if it was my fault that it had happened, with no solution offered. I then again have ordered from this branch today and ordered Mac & Cheese, they have sent me Creamy Mash instead that is freezing cold as if it wasn't even cooked in the first place. Not only this, but I called up to see what my options are, and the best solution I could be offered was a quarter of the amount of the item I didn't order back, (£1). This nandos used to be brilliant, the service and quality of the food has always been fantastic. But in the last 2 months it's gone dramatically down hill and has confirmed for me that I wont be revisiting this place again.

I have to admit I’m upset with my experience here. First thing was they forgot to bring my drink order so when the food arrived I went up and let them know I ordered a drink too (edit: it wasn't bottomless fizzy drinks). Second, they brought me the wrong main. Notified a waitress, she asked if I customised it, I said no and showed the receipt. A few minutes later my main arrived, it was cold and still not correct. At this point I didn’t say anything as was very hungry so just started eating it. I totally understand that people make mistakes sometimes which is why I didn’t say anything. Letting them know about the missing drink and the wrong main were very pleasant and friendly exchanges and they addressed those immediately. The thing that upset me was the third and final one, that when my companion finished eating, the waitress came and cleared the table and took my plate whilst I was still clearly eating. She did not ask if I was done, she just started clearing the table. At this point and after twice having to mention something about my order already I just didn’t want to say anything more and wanted out of there. I said thank you as she finished clearing the table, she didn’t say anything nor look at either of us, no acknowledgement of us at all and I just found this whole final thing extremely rude. I’m a big fan of Nando’s and my food has been very good every time before, haven’t eaten at Nando’s in a while so was quite looking forward to it, unfortunately this experience was not a nice one at all.

Recientemente visité Londres’s en Old Street, y fue por mucho una de las experiencias gastronómicas más decepcionantes que he tenido. De principio a fin, la experiencia fue inaceptable, y la falta de profesionalidad de la dirección la empeoró aún más. Nos sirvieron una comida que, para nuestro horror, parecía contaminada. El gerente vino, y en lugar de abordar nuestras preocupaciones con cualquier nivel de comprensión o empatía, fue impactantemente grosero y condescendiente. Desestimó nuestra queja. Su tono era desagradable y poco profesional, convirtiendo una mala situación en una horrible. No hubo disculpas, ningún intento de rectificar el problema, y no se asumió la responsabilidad por el claro problema con la comida. Parecía que el gerente estaba más interesado en defender la reputación del restaurante que en asegurar que sus huéspedes tuvieran una experiencia positiva. Nos fuimos sintiéndonos humillados, frustrados y de nuestro bolsillo para lo que se suponía que iba a ser una comida agradable. Si se preocupa por su salud y disfruta de ser tratado con respeto, le aconsejaría encarecidamente que evite la de Londres. Esta fue una experiencia vergonzosa de un restaurante que claramente no tiene en cuenta el servicio básico al cliente o la seguridad alimentaria.

Muy mal servicio y falta de atención. 25 minutos de espera en la comida a pesar de una noche muy tranquila y el tiempo equivalente esperando en bebidas simples. Muy decepcionante y desorganizado con el personal que claramente ha sido arrastrado de la calle y se le ha pedido que sirva.

Terrible!!! Place says it opens at 11:00. Waited outside until 11:30 only for someone to tell us they won’t open until 12:00. Ridiculous as I had my 3 month old and had come out to have a meal to just leave the house.

He estado en este lugar numerosas veces y siempre arruino el pedido. También pedí con Deliveroo de ellos y siempre faltan artículos. Horrible lugar, personal horrible, gerente horrible que no le importa si faltan las órdenes de la gente.

The food was hot and fresh, it reminded me why I liked Nandos.

Been waiting in the queue for 20 minutes and nobody has approached me to even acknowledge me. There are empty tables in front of me but so far nothing...is it always like this in this branch? The Angel one is so attentive in comparison. Also the drinks machine broke and they refused a refund and just gave me a bottle of coke, not coming back to this branch.

We did my wife's birthday here recently, and I must say the staff, the manager (Andrew) and the venue, was just perfect for the occasion. I can't thank 'Nandos - Old Sreet' enough for a wonderful time. 5 - 🌟

Good spot for a quick bite while exploring the local area. Food was fresh, hot and high quality!

We enjoyed the ambiance and the food was delicious. We enjoy every bit of the chicken. Children loved Butterfly Burger with ( extra spicy) and Sunset Burger . If you are in the area go check them out .

Hands down, one of the best places for burgers and fries. Varied options for vegetarians and the staff were quite helpful.

Visited this branch first time and it was a good visit. I always order livers in Nando's, imho that's the best meal on the menu. Livers in this branch very good but not the best I've had, a little hard but maybe because pieces were quite big. Good sauce and spiciness, enjoyed it. I was served coleslaw instead of corn on the cob, not a big deal, mistakes happen. Coleslaw was very passable, tasted mostly cream rather than salad, imho that's your typical coleslaw you can get in any supermarket. Chips were good as well, they always serve good chips. Service was quick and friendly, very clean branch, they have sitting space in the basement but it was closed.

Chicken livers were, juicy and tender. The cooking process is outstanding. The taste was so good enough to compel me to write this review after a heavy.

Between fast food and brasserie. The menu offers quite a few choices (burger, chicken, wraps, etc.). The starters are quite good and the choice of hot sauce for the dishes is interesting. Nothing really incredible because there are few flavors in the dishes, it remains a fast food chain.

Food was nice, broccoli was abit too tough and chicken butterfly was a little dry but overall was very happy I found a NON halal Nandos.

I worked here for a year, my colleagues and I opened this great restaurant. I arrived in London and they were the ones who gave me the opportunity to work in a country that was not mine. I will always be eternally grateful. The food is always perfect, the food quality controls are exhaustive. The oil in the fryers is changed daily, the sauces are cleaned every night and everything is continually sanitized. They treat the workers as if they were family, they hold meetings to create a bond, they pay you food. I hope I can return soon with my daughter and enjoy the spirit of Nando's ❤️

Very slow please try to improve

I was surprised that the waiters don't ask for tea, you have to go to the bar to order like in pubs. But the food is very good

Nice branch with friendly staff and location. The meat is well cooked and really flavourful. The sauces are the best but would be good to have more garlic to hand. The spice levels are just right and the red wine has been paired to perfection. My only criticism is that the toilets are old and not for for purpose.

A very nice chicken meal. Plates take some time to deliver and portions for My are just a little to little. But sauces are very good and the place is really nice

Loved the food and great services

Joseph was a great host and helped us out with the order despite the fact that we arrived close to closing hour. Delicious food with a lot of options.

Disappointing service considering how good the the food tastes. The food itself is decent, but the service is quite bad — most waiters serve the food in a hassle and the ice dispenser has been broken for almost a month. Today they incorrectly served my food to another table (which they loudly made a fuss about) and only rectified their mistake after several minutes of discussion and laughter. They served the food without an apology or acknowledgement for the long wait time.

A few years ago, I visited this restaurant, during my very first night in London. I had some issues trying to use my credit card, and, after attempting several times, I couldn´t pay for my food. The staff kindly told me that I could simply enjoy my meal, as they had already served it, and that it was on the house (I didn't have cash and I wasn't close to my accommodation). I will always be grateful for this gesture, because I didn't know what to do and they were really nice to me, because I was really worried. The second time I visited London, I returned to this place, and if I ever go back, I'll definitely visit it again. Thanks a lot!!

It was pretty fast service and was helpful however, they sat everyone upstairs and had the toilet downstairs in the basement, I had become confused and started to look around and had to ask staff, when I did they did tell me where it was, the food was good and constant to other nandos

Cold food, no cutlery and horrible service!

They took too long with my food it took them 50 minute to bring my food although it was just sitting there and then the workers had the audacity to say the meal just came. My food didn’t taste fresh and it was cold. I don’t normally expect this from nandos but I’m definitely not going back here.

Bad, cold, long, not pleasant, nothing more to say apart from the fact that the waiters are running around in circles in the restaurant.

The service was good. It's a typical Nandos service. However, the chicken was dry. Suggestion: they need to have an option where you can choose the part of the chicken. They gave me chicken breast and it was dry.

We arrived and had to wait 30 mins to be seated which was not their fault it was busy. After we were seated the food came quite quickly for how busy it was the food was very nice we then ordered desert (4 cheese cakes) 10 minutes later 1 piece of cheesecake came it then took another 15 minutes for 2 more pieces of cheesecake to arrive we then waited a further 5/10 minutes before going to the counter to get the last piece as a takeaway also there was one specific waitress who was very rude. Would go back but that waitress needs some lessons in communication skills.

Although the quality of food, ambience and service is good, my concern when I visited the branch came in upon observing one of the food handlers making the food with her hair open and no hair net. As a food chain of standing reputation, I think it's essential for workers to adhere to food safety regulation to tie the hair up and/or use hairnet while preparation of food.

Food very mediocre, overpriced for what you get. The few interactions I had with staff were pleasant, they are really nice. My chair did fall apart whilst I was sitting on it though. Nandos if you are reading this the chair on table 12 is on its last legs, literally.

inside the restaurant is too hot that caused us headache and food has been served to us in this presentation. No compliment for birthday celebrant.

5 stars for black of house. The chefs at the back are on top form. Food tastes great too. Smart idea to have kitchen visible because the kitchen is the best team. Servers seem so greasy and lethargic. I’ll not go back only because the waiters kill the vibes. The worst Nando’s I’ve ever been to.

Chicken was a little dry and chewy

Good chicken. Good service. Loved the app thing which is a good thing mostly if you are many people at the table because you irder and pay separately. Very fast service. You have a lot of sauces also, which is great.

Food came out quickly and tasted good. Its not 5 stars as corn could have been cooked a little longer.

Shared a lovely platter with my great friends after just having a spa day…we had a lovely meal did not have to wait too long…. Service from a beautiful young lady, wished we got her name… gave us great hospitality on Friday afternoon about 4ish…. Thank you again… Fantastic hospitality.

Nobody bothered to come as we were queuing to get a table, and actively avoided coming even as they were doing nothing. Until I forced them to tell us it would be a 30 minute wait (many empty tables). Poor customer service.

Nandos can't do me wrong in my eyes. But the staff was excellent. The location was calm. Good energy. The team is checking up on me. Strongly recommend.

Probably the worst Nandos I’ve been to. There was a bad smell radiating, especially around the drinks machines. Some of the staff were having really loud conversations and cussing next to people eating which was bizarre and unprofessional… The woman serving me was really nice, professional and helpful though. She’s probably the only good part of this Nandos. The manager was nice too. The chicken was DRY as hell. I like my chicken slightly overdone (didn’t ask for it to be overdone fyi) but this was on a whole new level. It was like chewing thick cardboard. I couldn’t even see the wing on my chicken because it was so shrivelled up. I had another order to go and that chicken was cooked perfectly though so I guess they’re just inconsistent with the cooking. I’m not sure why though since there was hardly anyone in the Nandos - so they weren’t exactly rushed off their feet. They also didn’t have crayons or anything to entertain the kids which other Nandos usually have. Definitely wouldn’t go here again.

Provato una sera in quanto a cinque minuti a piedi dal nostro hotel, è un fast food diverso dagli altri e nel quale si trova pollo in tutte, anzi con tutte le salse! Buona la qualità, prezzi nella media di Londra, servizio simpatico e cortese; occhio, alcune salse sono micidiali... il grado di piccantezza è tremendo, anche se per loro è "medium spicy"! Consiglio comunque di non andarci troppo tardi, altrimenti si rischia di non trovare alcuni dei loro piatti tipici.

Great service and quality of food!

Food was OK, for a Nandos - it was what you'd expect. Staff were a bit standoff-ish and seemed unhappy about being asked, where something is, for example. The fire alarm kept going off, but staff doing nothing and letting it ring for minutes (5+) makes me think it might happen regularly🤷 It is what it is. Not the worst Nandos I've been too, just maybe ignore the fire alarm...everyone else does 😆

As always Nandos is at the top if RQP. Very tasty food and quick service. Only problem were toilets horribly dirty. Apart from that all good.

Nando's let me down big time. The cutlery they gave me was filthy, and even after telling the manager, they didn’t take it into consideration. I had to sanitize it myself. The food was just average, nothing special. Nando's needs to up their cleanliness and overall quality.

Better than any Nando's I ever been! The chicken liver is to die for!!! A lovely lady with short blond hair and glasses ( I assume she's the manager ) asked how was everything, and if I would like anything else. I asked if they have a fresh Pastel de Nata. Than she brought me one. Honestly, the best I ever had! Highly recommend !👌

Service is great 👍 friendly and polite staff and attentive to making sure you are enjoying your visit. Food was very well cooked and nice. Lots of sitting areas. We go there almost every month for lunch.

After a day of eye tests in Moorfields Hospital, I emerged on City Road and realised I could barely see a thing. I asked a passer by to guide me to the nearest restaurant and ended up in Nandos. The food was good. Its Nandos; you know how its going to be. I'm here to review the service... The chap who greeted me, guided me to a table, read the menu to me and put my phone on charge so I could call my wife was Emanuel. An absolute gem of a human. I'm embarrassed that I don't know the name of the lovely lady who inherited my care when Emanuel took his well earned break. She, too, is an absolute gem. She even walked me out the restaurant to ensure I was pointed correctly in the direction of Old St Station. My thanks to them both. I was well fed, treated with supreme kindness and made to feel a lot better at the end of an awful day.
