Nando's in Hackney

One of the smaller Nandos, but definitely one of the cleanest.

Usual Nando's, managed to fit us in unexpectedly (Party of 9)

went for the best thing on nandos menu: the sunset burger, always 10/10. also tried the new mac n cheese which will be my go to side alongside peri salted fries now. nando's never misses

5 stars for black of house. The chefs at the back are on top form. Food tastes great too. Smart idea to have kitchen visible because the kitchen is the best team. Servers seem so greasy and lethargic. I’ll not go back only because the waiters kill the vibes. The worst Nando’s I’ve ever been to.

inside the restaurant is too hot that caused us headache and food has been served to us in this presentation. No compliment for birthday celebrant.

Went on a Sunday, the staff on shift were just amazing, helpful, smiling, polite, positive, the chicken was cooked to perfection. Thank you for a great experience and food.

Chicken was a little dry and chewy

Good chicken. Good service. Loved the app thing which is a good thing mostly if you are many people at the table because you irder and pay separately. Very fast service. You have a lot of sauces also, which is great.

Food came out quickly and tasted good. Its not 5 stars as corn could have been cooked a little longer.

Shared a lovely platter with my great friends after just having a spa day…we had a lovely meal did not have to wait too long…. Service from a beautiful young lady, wished we got her name… gave us great hospitality on Friday afternoon about 4ish…. Thank you again… Fantastic hospitality.

Staff is is busy with chatting to each other. No focus on prepared delivery. They kept it inside hit box and forget about driver. Very disappointed

Nobody bothered to come as we were queuing to get a table, and actively avoided coming even as they were doing nothing. Until I forced them to tell us it would be a 30 minute wait (many empty tables). Poor customer service.

Nandos can't do me wrong in my eyes. But the staff was excellent. The location was calm. Good energy. The team is checking up on me. Strongly recommend.

Probably the worst Nandos I’ve been to. There was a bad smell radiating, especially around the drinks machines. Some of the staff were having really loud conversations and cussing next to people eating which was bizarre and unprofessional… The woman serving me was really nice, professional and helpful though. She’s probably the only good part of this Nandos. The manager was nice too. The chicken was DRY as hell. I like my chicken slightly overdone (didn’t ask for it to be overdone fyi) but this was on a whole new level. It was like chewing thick cardboard. I couldn’t even see the wing on my chicken because it was so shrivelled up. I had another order to go and that chicken was cooked perfectly though so I guess they’re just inconsistent with the cooking. I’m not sure why though since there was hardly anyone in the Nandos - so they weren’t exactly rushed off their feet. They also didn’t have crayons or anything to entertain the kids which other Nandos usually have. Definitely wouldn’t go here again.

Always love coming here. The staff are great, the food is dished out in a timely manner, it's hot and not over cooked. Not a bad word to say

Provato una sera in quanto a cinque minuti a piedi dal nostro hotel, è un fast food diverso dagli altri e nel quale si trova pollo in tutte, anzi con tutte le salse! Buona la qualità, prezzi nella media di Londra, servizio simpatico e cortese; occhio, alcune salse sono micidiali... il grado di piccantezza è tremendo, anche se per loro è "medium spicy"! Consiglio comunque di non andarci troppo tardi, altrimenti si rischia di non trovare alcuni dei loro piatti tipici.

Great service and quality of food!

Food was OK, for a Nandos - it was what you'd expect. Staff were a bit standoff-ish and seemed unhappy about being asked, where something is, for example. The fire alarm kept going off, but staff doing nothing and letting it ring for minutes (5+) makes me think it might happen regularly🤷 It is what it is. Not the worst Nandos I've been too, just maybe ignore the fire alarm...everyone else does 😆

As always Nandos is at the top if RQP. Very tasty food and quick service. Only problem were toilets horribly dirty. Apart from that all good.

Nando's let me down big time. The cutlery they gave me was filthy, and even after telling the manager, they didn’t take it into consideration. I had to sanitize it myself. The food was just average, nothing special. Nando's needs to up their cleanliness and overall quality.

Food is generally quite good, shame the staff always seem put out even doing the job their employed to do. I would still go here though.

Disappointing service considering how good the the food tastes. I went here for a year because the chicken tasted great (although sometimes a bit dry), the chips were delicious and fresh, and the unlimited refillable drinks were a nice addition. However, service was never their strong suit; most waiters served food in a hassle, the ice dispenser has been broken for almost a month, and today they incorrectly served my food to another table (which they loudly made a fuss about) and only rectified their mistake after several minutes of discussion and laughter. They served the food without an apology or acknowledgement for the long wait time. Ultimately, this restaurant is a good choice for a tasty, quick-stop meal, but don’t expect amazing service.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and service with a smile. The chicken was so small ( I buy these same baby chickens 3 for £10) the wings are small!! This amount of food is a snack!!

This isn’t HALAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why does this come up on google when you are looking for halal Nandoes . Google really need to do something about it . It’s miss leading people to go to the wrong place

Better than any Nando's I ever been! The chicken liver is to die for!!! A lovely lady with short blond hair and glasses ( I assume she's the manager ) asked how was everything, and if I would like anything else. I asked if they have a fresh Pastel de Nata. Than she brought me one. Honestly, the best I ever had! Highly recommend !👌

Nice and polite staff. No need to wait too much for meal. However, the table not clean and hope they can improve it.

Service is great 👍 friendly and polite staff and attentive to making sure you are enjoying your visit. Food was very well cooked and nice. Lots of sitting areas. We go there almost every month for lunch.

After a day of eye tests in Moorfields Hospital, I emerged on City Road and realised I could barely see a thing. I asked a passer by to guide me to the nearest restaurant and ended up in Nandos. The food was good. Its Nandos; you know how its going to be. I'm here to review the service... The chap who greeted me, guided me to a table, read the menu to me and put my phone on charge so I could call my wife was Emanuel. An absolute gem of a human. I'm embarrassed that I don't know the name of the lovely lady who inherited my care when Emanuel took his well earned break. She, too, is an absolute gem. She even walked me out the restaurant to ensure I was pointed correctly in the direction of Old St Station. My thanks to them both. I was well fed, treated with supreme kindness and made to feel a lot better at the end of an awful day.

It’s only nandos so you don’t expect too much but the service here today was amazing. Every staff member smiling even if you just walked past them. Lovely visit especially on your day off, it’s the small things that make your day! Thanks! :)

Pricing, choices and quality are good but just standard. The space is very limited and the interior rather worn. For a quick bite okayish.

Standard Nandos grub. Same as most of the chain. Decent amount of space so you'll usually get a table, no need to check or book in advance.

Nice food as Nando’s usually does. Staff really good too. However, tried to eat two separate nights in a row. Couldn’t the first night because they were serving only takeaway so we decided to try again a second night and several items weren’t available on the menu. This was only clear once you went to order on the online system. There was no point leaving at that stage as we were already seated so we both just ordered things we didn’t really want (which were still good to be fair). If you can’t operate as a conventional restaurant in the first instance and can’t provide several items on your menu in the second, you aren’t really giving customers much value. Strange for such a large chain.

Not the best Nando's we've been in. Pitta order was wrong, but was exchanged, but daughter had cold corn on the cob, asked to replace and pretty sure the same cold one was brought back.

The food is good, standard Nandos. The service was mediocre. Staff were not making an effort with cleaning. Especially around the utensils area. Flies by the bin, right next to the sauces and utensils. This wouldn't be my first choice nandos to come and eat at.

Bit slow takeaway service. Appreciate all the work the staff do though.

Dear Nando's, thank you. Thank you for coming to Houston in Spring 2023. We will be waiting. This is serious sorcery and that Wild Herb Peri-peri sauce should be available every where, every day! Food was amazing, service was great. You know it's good when you are literally Googling where to get the sauces stateside or if you can get it in duty-free at Heathrow....

The vegetarian Chicken substistute was great. A bit pricey. The fries were tasteless, and really needed salt, and there was no salt at the table. It has soda and water refills. We would come back.

The title says it all. Could’ve been avoided if the staff was a little more switched on seeing there was just one customer waiting for a small order to-go. I would understand if there was not enough staff and the order was a full meal but that was not the case. Also, in cases such as this it seems reasonable to offer your customer complementary fries or drink to compensate for the long wait but that was also not the case here. Disappointing experience :/

Found the staff to be rude and unwelcoming, didn't ike based on how many there are of you they chose your seating area unless you specify otherwise, the chips and rice were very,very dry and the chicken wings were nice but could have been more tasty,inside was nice decor but dark

I'm not a big fan of Nando's anyway. I found this one quite spacious and the staff looked friendly and professional. One of the grills was not working and so we were quite limited in terms of eating options.

Food tasted amazing, as you can usually expect from Nando’s. Great location, close to Old Street station. Will be coming back here to eat again soon. Chicken thighs are a must try!

First time had taken away food but i’m not really happy because of the over grilled chicken wings. I ordered 15 chicken wings but 14 of them were so burned that i couldn’t enjoy it happily. The corn on the cop were so dry as well. I have had din at Nandos for many times but this time made me so disappointed and upset due to the overcooked food and bitter!

Google should put a 0 stars option. This used to be my favourite nandos until i saw one of the workers (possibly a manager) doing balloons/laughing gas in the shop (out in the open yes) in front of customers on 11/7/22. Please get a life and stop being so pathetic.

Over 30min waiting none came to see us, big queue waiting, we just end up leaving. For a Central London Nandos... I hope not to go there again.

Used this Nando's fairly regularly before covid. Meals have always been good. Today was my 1st time since covid. I was with my husband and brother. We ordered our meals. My husband and brother got their meals. After a few minutes I asked where's my meal. She went to look and came back with something different. I said not to worry and as it turned out it was very nice. I usually have the same thing a wrap but I got a burger and I must say it was excellent. 😀😀

The food was nice but when they was preparing our food the lady dropped a few chips then picked them up with her bare hands and put them back on my sisters plate we wasn't happy with that so we sent it back, so if you go maybe try and sit where you can see the food.

DONT USE NANDO's AAP TO ORDER. Ordering food via app was the worst decision I did.. The counter was free and 2 or 3 table was busy. I order food via app and was waiting for my food. 20 mins(from time I got email confirmation) passed and I asked the staff they said they didn't receive the order..then they manually added the order into the system looking at our email. It took another 7 to 10 min to get the food. Not a good idea to go for a office lunch break. Apart from that Chicken was fresh and well cooked, chips and garlic bread was crunchy and tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful.

So I placed my order, food didn’t arrive for 30 mins and the order wasn’t made, the staff on floor are amazing, very friendly, just wasn’t pleased that I was waiting over 30 mins for 10 wings on their own and the staff on duty cooking wasn’t making my food but was indulging in conversation with other staff. Haven’t had this experience before with Nandos.

We sit and wait the service: nobody came, or better: nobody looked to us. I made one more try: going to the balcony. A guy asked me to wait another woman to reply my ask. Woman never came. Finally, I decided it was time to go.

Efficient service, staff all helpful. Couple of items were missing from the stand, forks being one of them. Resolved when I was able to get a member of staff. Seemed to be new members being trained but overall happy with the service and would go back. Food as always of a good standard.
