Nakorn Thai Restaurant in Luton

A lovely dinner with the family for Dad's birthday, we decided to return after a previous pleasant dining experience for Mum's birthday. Ann and her team are amazing and the food and service never disappoints. The party of 14 were all happy and satisfied with their food. Thanks again Nakorn.

Opted for the set menu. 5 starters and 4 mains + fried rice all excellent. Everything was so delicious we kept going till we had eaten the lot. First time in the restaurant and first time in Luton. Unlikely to be back. Wish we lived nearer this super restaurant.

I visited with 6 friends - really lovely atmosphere and the restaurant is quite big but divided in two so it feels intimate. Great food, really good selection and good prices. The service was also really good, very friendly and attentive.

Amazing vegan meal! The menu didn’t show vegan options however they are able to make any dish on the menu vegan by request. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had the pad Thai with tofu which was 10/10 and mango and sticky rice for dessert - always a must have! Highly recommend for vegans - just ask them and they will be more than happy to make your an amazing vegan meal.

We attended as a table of 12 for a birthday party. Beautiful setting, very tasty food and wonderful staff. Montè waited on us and ge was outstanding. He was funny, attentive, polite and kind. Nothing was too much of an ask and everything he did was done respectfully. There was a tiny mix up with food, but Montè dealt with it promptly and without issue. This was an impromptu visit on way south. So glad we stopped. I’ve been to Thailand 3 times and not ever have I found a thai in the uk that turns out anything close to a genuine pad thai. This was as close as it gets!!! So happy I wiggled in my seat! My partner wanted Nando’s but his red curry was better than any we have near our home town of Leicester so also saved my ass!!! Would have added pictures, but there was nothing left of the plates! Delicious! Huge compliments to the staff! I’d travel back for that! Yummy! Such professional and friendly staff too. Honestly, a gem!

Good Thai food. All the standard Thai options and well cooked. The staff were friendly. It was fairly quiet on the night we visited.

Lovely service, great food., great service I only had chicken satay and veggie rolls with some wine. Wine list is ok, not strong with heavy cabs and variety. Enjoyable meal

Awesome food. As a veggie, I was a little concerned at the menu but they were really good at accommodating. Any dish you can substitute in tofu and the Thai Red/ panang curries were excellent. They also let us go off menu and order garlic rice... it was amazing. Deffo ask for this! Friendly and unbelievably quick service. Deffo worth a visit.

Truly excellent meal. Wonderful, attentive service. The room was warm and the prawn tempura, green curry and the mango desert was the best since living in Thailand.

Amazing Restaurant. We found this amazing restaurant when we first moved to Luton and have since made it our favourite place to go. Always welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Happy to tweak their disses to your liking while still maintaining very high standards of the food. Never had a bad meal here in the time we have been coming. Absolutely love this restaurant, and throughly recommend it to all.

When ordering our food we were very clear we didn’t eat fish & booked set 2 on the menu with adjustments from fish to chicken . We were disappointed with the starter in as much there was no spring rolls & had to ask for them after they were finished The reason we had to ask once the starters were finished was that the waiting staff are so busy running around doing takeaways ! Every Thai restaurant I have been in , has been great for the attentiveness they show the customers in the restaurant. This was sadly missing in Nakoen last night. Going onto our second course . The duck & pancakes . I had to ask for more pancakes , there wasn’t nearly enough for the meal . On our receipt we was charged an additional £3 for this. That was also very disappointing! When our main meal arrived we had to wait before we could eat it as the special rice was prawn although we had said we didn’t eat fish at the very start of the meal . As we were finishing our meal a member of staff then finally asked if everything was ok with our meal . We said yes , but actually wasn’t happy at all . To spend £100 +on a celebration meal & to have to keep asking for issues to be resolved made the meal an uncomfortable experience. When paying that amount of money we would at the very least expect attentive staff, which was the opposite to what we received last night . We chose Nakorn last night over Lumpini in Dunstable. That has proven to be a mistake. Lumpini staff always are attentive & will converse with you throughout the meal . I feel Nakorn is losing its identity , what every Thai restaurant is is good at ….being amazing hosts ! Although emailing the restaurant in regards to our experience, an apology & no follow up isn’t acceptable. I won’t go to this restaurant again !

I've been here a few times and the food has always been excellent. As a vegetarian my choices in restaurants are usually limited but this restaurant is happy to make any dish on the menu into a vegetarian one. Service also was excellent.

Visited here today for a quick lunch. I am amazed at how beautiful the food was. Very fast service and extremely tasty food. I highly recommend the green curry. Will definetley be taking family and friends here.

This beautiful restaurant is rated number 1 in Luton for thai food and I can def see why.Service is friendly and the food is mindblowing.Authentic and just the right combination of lemongrass, galangal and coconut. I love Thai food and I love this place, you won't find a better Thai restaurant in Luton.Being a vegetarian I often find that the food choices are limited however this restaurant are happy to make any dish on the menu into a vegetarian dish. One of my favourite dishs here is the salt and pepper tofu which is fantastic along with the mixed vegetables with oyster sauce.I can't fault the food and I can't fault the service both are top-notch.

Had always favoured Jitlada, but with the demise of that place tried Nakorn. Had a really good meal, with the Fish and noodles especially good. The service was also excellent all night, even when they got busy

We have been here for the lunch time menu on many occasions. We both ordered different soups however when they came they tasted awful.. The owner exchanged them but again they were inedible. The chicken in mine was dry and chewy. Rather than offer us an alternative starter the owner simply brought us out our main meals. We didnt feel welcome at all and by the time we set foot outside the door all the lights had been turned off.. I think we'll be looking for a new lunchtime venue. Shame

We had lovely authentic Thai dishes, the son tum is to die for and Tom yam is the best I had so far. The owner even let tel me their recipe of making their Tom yam soup. The staffs are very hospitable and has vast knowledge of Thai food when we asked for recommendations. Would definitely come again!

Decided on a visit last minute, the late reservation was easily accommodated for. We ordered the set menu which was delicious. Anek did everything he could to make it a special birthday outing, the customer service by every member was amazing. Could not recommend more highly, will visit again soon.

My friend and I wanted to go out for a meal in town so I found this restaurant online and decided to book. The food was great and the staff were really lovely and friendly I would definitely recommend and would make a return visit!

Our party of four visited this charming restaurant for lunch on 7th November. We were shown to a quiet table, well away from the door so we were spared an icy draft every time it opened. We were handed the full menu and the special lunch menu and asked if we wanted to order drinks straight away which we did. These arrived promptly and our food order taken. We decided on the two course lunch menu which included a vegetarian option which suited our friends perfectly. The starters arrived in short order and were very good, especially the mushroom soup which I had. The main courses duly followed, piping hot and generous portions, so much so that none of us had room for desert, settling instead for coffee. Had mangos, imported from Thailand, been available ( not in season now), we would probably have been persuaded by the restaurant owner,

They are lovely and helpful. The food is delicious whether eating in or getting a takeaway. The staff are friendly and even give the correct wait time so I don’t get a parking ticket. Authentic Thai curry my favourite is the green curry. It’s not surprising that they have been in business this long.

Spent the night in a Luton ahead of a Land Rover driving experience. Looked up the restaurant and saw it was highly rated so gave it a go. We had a set menu which was fantastic, great authentic Thai food and excellent customer service. Highly recommended, a rare bright spot in Luton.

After eating here 10-12 times since moving to Luton 2 years ago, I would thoroughly recommend it. The restaurant is everything you would expect - the food is exceptional, the staff are absolutely wonderful and the restaurant itself is clean, pleasant and comfortable. I haven't found a restaurant in Luton that is even close to being as good as Nakorn Thai.

I came here with my dad after viewing this restaurant on trip advisor. We decided to try the chicken wings to compare to the ones in North Yorkshire; not what we were expecting but superb! They came with a sweet chilli dressing with fried onions and pepper which tasted divine. For mains we had i had the thai green curry and he had a chicken dish (can’t remember the name) wow they was fabulous! We love thai food and this is definitely one of the best we have tried. Not only did they offer amazing food, but this came with lovely service. Really nice night out, thank you!

Booked for seven the staff were friendly, efficient and the food was excellent we had the set menu B as it was easier and provided an acceptable variety for our whole party. The mixed starters and second course crispy duck were as expected and the main courses were bottomless not that we had much of a need for more as there was plenty although we did get a little extra just because you do don’t you. After travelling in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a month, I found myself back in Luton UK missing Thai food and found this highly recommended restaurant via Google / TripAdvisor. I made a reservation in a few minutes. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with sawasdee-ka and smiles, I was seated at a quiet table.

Seafood curry and duck curry are delicious. We are highly recommending traditional Thai desserts. For sure we will visit again.

I’ve been to Thailand a few times and coming back to the UK willing to have authentic Thai is a bit difficult. We found this place on the way back home from the airport and what a nice surprise it was.

Simply stated, if you like Thai, eat here. Take the time and effort, I don't believe you will be disappointed. I stopped her two years ago, and it is still the same, wonderful place.

Visited with a group of 8 on Sat evening. Very busy but service was quick and good. Mixed starter selection was tasty and not greasy. Everyone enjoyed different mains (pad Thai, beef massaman, red curry etc). Good selection of beers and we very much enjoyed a Thai wine. Freshly made (by Manager!) banana fritters to finish. We live close to Luton town centre so have a choice of places to eat within walking distance. This is definitely our favourite and we use it much more than any other. Always a warm and friendly welcome and a great choice of good quality food. They are also very helpful if you have particular dietary needs or allergies

I’ve spent the last month or so work in Luton & this has become one of my favourite places. The food is very authentic, tasty, fresh & very reasonably priced. The staff are attentive & service is nice & quick. Brilliant dining.

I was staying in Luton town overnight and went to a place nearby for the dinner. I am huge lover of Thai food so I hoped dinner won't disappoint. I order Thom Kha Gai, I know how it tastes, I know I like it. The soup was not exactly what I was hoped and waiter explained that they make the "British" not "Thai" version and they can re-make the soup to be more Thai. What I did not expected it will literally be some Thai in it. I observed the cook taste my soup, put the spoon(the one she had in HER mouth) back into the bowl of soup and then pour into the wok to re-heat it. WTF??? Not only they did not make a new soup for me (reheating shrimps make them taste like rubber and the food, especially coconut milk looses quality), but she contaminated it with HER BODILY FLUIDS. f##k this place
