Mughals in Sheffield

Pre-ordered a meal before the restaurant opened, which the restaurant ACCEPTED as we received confirmation from Just Eat. Received an estimated order time of 6.20pm. Nothing had arrived by 6.30pm, so tried to call Mughals (which weirdly only supplies a mobile number) but no answer. Tried to call again at 6.40pm, again it rang but no answer. Phoned Just Eat at 7.20pm to cancel the order, as it clearly wasn't coming (and it never did). Absolutely disgusting to accept an order and then just not bother to deliver it or answer their phone.

I waited 2 hours for a delivery in which never turned up. I had attempted to call the restaurant several times for them to never pick up. I then had to chat to just ear who also attempted to contact them with no luck. Terrible. Never attempt to order from here.

We walk past this restaurant every day on our way to and from Hillsborough Park to walk the dog but we’ve never had any food. Last night, as it was snowing, we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. I had lamb pasanda which can be bland. This was very different to any Pasanda I’ve had before but it was delicious. The lamb tender and melted in my mouth. I think we over ordered on the nan bread and luckily I had enough leftovers for tea tonight. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Such tasty food and good portions.

We called while passing and were a little concerned to find that we were the only people inside. That concern soon vanished as soon as the food arrived. Onion bhajis (smaller than I’m used to) were lovely, I had a lamb handi and I have to say it was delicious, the lamb was melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection. I will be going again

Looking for a great curry .... And I think I have found it. A family run place with authentic recipes that hit the spot. Good vegetarian and meat options for a really affordable price. A gem in Hillsborough!

Went once..food amazing..service/staff top notch..been several times since..quality perfect every time..new favorite Indian..go and enjoy.

My friends and I stopped in one night to give Mughals a shot. We expected an ordinary Indian food experience, but we were surprised by how delicious it truly was. The richness of the flavors can't be understated. Every dish was on point. At the end of our meal, as it was a slow weeknight, the chef came out of the kitchen and talked to our table for ten minutes or so. He was kind, accommodating, and friendly, taking a genuine interest in each of us. He and his family seem like great people. Needless to say, I have found my go-to restaurant in Hillsborough.

I went with family & friends for a birthday meal and i must say it was fantastic. The food was piping hot & delicious! Service was lovely & friendly as its a family based runned business. They do deliveries too & also bookings so certainly going to be a regular/weekly customer. Its all newly decorated & has a nice warm feeling & atmosphere. One of the best halal places to eat & also fantastic when going with friends as they serve both alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks.

Not too busy as it's just opened. Attentive staff and reasonable prices. Best mixed tandoori starter I've had in my life. Apna style gives you an authentic Indian meal. This was one of the best curries I have had in Sheffield. Highly recommend.

This is the 4th or 5th restaurant on this site in the last 5 years. It should be ideal, right by a tramstop in the middle of a busy suburb of Sheffield but the last iteration, Two States, lasted only a year. The menu consists mainly of the British curry staples - bhunas, tikka masalas but also contains a few more interesting items. I ordered an apna (homestyle) chicken masala and it was excellent - nice and spicy with a fairly dry sauce. By contrast, a chicken bhuna was quite bland. The mixed tandoori platter is good value as a shared starter. We drank water, as the alcohol selection was very limited.
