Mr Chinese in Lambeth

I’ve ordered through Deliveroo, it took more than two and half hours. They hung up on me twice when I inquired about my food. Bottom line this is a scam restaurant and deliveroo did nothing to support as the order is fulfilled by the restaurant driver. By the way, after two hours and half the guy on the phone answered and he had a very bad temper as if he’s paying me not the way around. But seeing from the reviews it’s clear this is a very bad business but I am spectacle how they have good rating on the delivery app.

Just don't do it. 80 mins late, half the order missing, not even an apology... Deliveroo refunded me thankfully but I'd never order from here again. What a waste of an evening

The food is disgusting—the meat isn’t even fresh, yet they still sell it to customers

Good turned up in a plastic bag after 50 minutes. It was stone cold and instead of the 'Fried rice with duck' that I ordered, I received some revolting 'sauce' thing.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I genuinely wish I could award ZERO stars because this place doesn't deserve any more.

I made an order with JUSTEAT and found the pricing far too high ,I then looked at the takeaway's menu away from JUSTEAT and was still surprised at how expensive it was. The wait was 60/80 mins so I cancelled the order I'm so glad I did after reading the vast amount of 1☆ reviews. Nearly £12 for a special fried rice is disgusting. If this place only takes cash then I would advise you all to report them and every other chinese takeaway only taking cash THEY ARE FIDDLING THE TAX SYSTEM. Also I see many people complaining that food never arrived, the owners response to each complaint was simply FOOD WAS delivered. This can't be thr case for all with the same complaint. I WILL BRING THIS AND EVERY CHINESE TAKEAWAY/RESTAURANT WHOM FIDDLE THE TAX SYSTEM DOWN

Worst experience i’ve ever had ordering food online. These guys are scammers, avoid at all costs. Ordered through Just Eat and never got the food delivered - yet they told just eat that the food had been delivered. The next day as soon as they opened i called them & the person that picked up was so rude. He wouldnt let me get a word in and just said ‘it was delivered, sorry theres nothing we can do, learn to pick up your calls’. Yet I have no calls from any driver and my ring camera shows there was no delivery attempt. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!’

The food tastes weird and the curry sauce was cold and the workers who I spoke to spoken to me like crap I have to share with my brother the curry sauce and all the time I order before and I all ways get sweet and sour sauce but it didn’t come so I am not going order from u know more

Honesty wish I’d checked reviews before going. The service 0/10- I bought chicken burger- whilst it wasn’t pink, there was no love. I also bought prawn dumplings- they said it was homemade and it was 😭😭 made out of rice paper and just a prawn filling- Sainsbury’s ha Kau is cheaper and better value. Gosh 😭

Place is vile! Overpriced and undercooked, and very questionable ingredients. Please do not go with them, or you'll be like the guys who posted two totally not fake and real positive recent reviews - in the hospital! I order King prawn rice, salted Peppers ribs coconut chicken and spring roll. Horrible blend no flavor I call to complain and they said that is how they Cook. We are very upset we pay 41.39 pound the worst food we had we we Will never ever try again.

As part of Chinese New Year celebrations we ordered food from Mr Chinese to St Thomas's Hospital. Food was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole team and are looking forward to ordering again.

To celebrate Chinese's new year at work, my colleagues and I ordered Chinese takeaway from Mr Chinese. When I rang to pre order the food, they were very accommodating, quick and they took my orders without hesitation. I have also asked for a discount ( because of the just eat app) and they happily gave us the discount. We had a lovely time at St Thomas's hospital and we all enjoyed the great food. Thank you!

Order was never delivered, and then I called the restaurant and the guy that answered just yelled and said it was there even though the receptionist said no food was ever delivered. Awful experience.

Took our order at 11:30 and said that they were preparing it and it was out for delivery. 1 whole hour later and no delivery update and the restaurant shut at 12 so we could not contact them to ask about our order!

How do you order noodles and it comes completely(100%) uncooked ( see attached photo) with cold meat and sauce on top to garnish it?. This happened to me when I ordered from this food place on uber eats, to me this showed how much this place doesn’t put close attention on their food, the safety or even hygiene. Though I got my refund but it was too much that I had to come make this review to help save people their health and time.

El restaurante no envió uno de los platos que pedí y cuando pasé por el proceso de reembolso, fue rechazado. ¡Estoy destripado porque gasté tanto dinero en comida que ninguno de nosotros pudo comer! I think this is my first complain ever. Delivery took ages to arrived, with no answers at the phone calls. I’ve ordered mussels and I’ve received only 5 😂 (sorry but this kind of made me laugh). Also both orders been served as a soups meals…. Why post pictures that are not even similar to the food the restaurant delivers? Not to mention that they re not cheap (£40) for two “soups”…

I have to say, this was the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. The food lacked any flavor, the rice was a bit hard, and the chicken was clearly poor quality. Overall, it was a completely disappointing experience. I spent £40 only to regret not choosing McDonald's instead; at least I would have enjoyed a McFlurry!

Such a lower rating I wonder why took my order and said my food had been delivered but nothing shame on you took order lare around 3am and don't answer the phone guess they tucked up in bed but take people's money just eat close at 3am so I was unable to do anything gotta go hungry and chase it up in the morning not made of money unlike these people

I ordered from this place last night 1st time and last time too 37.00 pounds worth after discount driver called to ask where the house is after giving the full address and directed him he arrived I gave him a 50.00 pound note the driver said he doesn't have any change and complained as y I gave the 50 note He complained all customers paid cash and no change I said to him to call the restaurant so I could pay with card thanking this would be the best option But again his boss said to give cash absurd!!! Ridiculous service ride driver who was hyper NEVER ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN RIP OFF

Food was nice, noodles were FIRE 🔥 & sweet’n’sour sauce wasn’t giving any good vibes (it was basically jelly) Service was great arrived early. Atmosphere was outstanding the vibes in our bedroom are phenomenal. Overall decent place 4/5

Ordered through just eat, their reviews are probably fake. I got the starter platter which was overcooked and dry, the seaweed was pretty good though. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken aswell. It was OK, had a good flavour but also overcooked. *some if this chicken tastes off*

Orderd on Deliveroo, waited well over 2 hours to just end up having to call them and then lying and saying that they couldn’t find the flat as address wasn’t on the details (WHICH IT WAS) also I got no phone calls so just proves that they never even attempted to deliver (They even lied saying my phone number wasn’t on there which it is). Said 30mins when I ordered, but took 1hr 20mins! Order still wasn't "delivered" on app an hour later. Food was average, the sauce was a bit runny for me, egg fried rice a bit bitty, taste was ok though. Don't expect to get through on telephone - always engaged. Think the 30mins is a scam to get orders. Driver was rude at door too - he got lost because he didn't read the delivery instructions. I'm driving myself & picking up my food for the foreseeable future !!!!

I wish not to add a star at all, the food was very bad. It was burnt like they scraped it from the bottom of the pot. Not much meat in the special fried rice, the duck was not bad. The reviews on Deliveroo were probably all lies! And it’s soo expensive and the portions was not as big was they said, we do work hard for our money. Absolute disgrace. Indian clerk was rude and kept on ignoring my calls. Hung up on me. Told me he ‘didn’t know what is Chinese food’ albeit the chef agreed to redo the dish for me. Then altered my location to ‘too far to deliver’. If you don’t please stop working at a Chinese place. Go back home and claim benefits instead. Will have ubereats issue full refund and report to any relevant council. Believe I can have the entire thing served again for free due to poor quality according to UK law. Will have this guy witness.

Food arrived two hours late, cold, and missing some items. Tried to call the place but phone just rang out every time. Spent the second hour of waiting trying to get a refund but it’s impossible to get through. The food that did turn up was bad - chips were soggy, the meat was stringy and the spring rolls may as well have not been cooked. The reviews on justeat are almost definitely fraudulent, avoid at all costs.

Order took 3 hours to deliver, while expected delivery time was 30 minutes. Did not pick up when we called from the number with which we ordered, but did pick up from another phone number. Very rude treatment and they hung up. Did not follow delivery instructions so food was delivered at the wrong place. The food itself was pretty bad as well. It was cold, had some weird meat in it that we couldn’t identify and there wasn’t much taste to it. Never had any experience like this. We didn’t eat to food so we basically just threw away the money after waiting for hours.

SCAMMERS. STAY AWAY. I ordered food through deliveroo while staying at a hotel and they lied claiming they'd delivered the food and 'handed it to me personally' per the deliveroo agent.

We was staying at a hotel in London and were quite hungry so we looked on Just Eat at nearby Chinese Takeaways and we found Mr Chinese. We ordered the food and it did take quite a while to arrive! But once it arrived we started to eat! The soup and crackers was lovely! The satay chicken skewers not very nice they were dry and hard but the sweet and sour chicken was delicious it was very nice and I really enjoyed it! I probably wouldn’t eat a meat starter from there again but I would have a main.

We ordered food from Mr Chinese via Ubereats and it was terrible - lots of the order was missing. The aromatic duck didn’t come with pancakes or hoi sin sauce. The starter platter was inedible - the spare ribs looked revolting. Our bill was over £50 and we were looking forward to a really nice meal. We have tried to contact Ubereats about this but no reply. We then called Mr Chinese directly and they said we needed to complain to Ubereats and that maybe the delivery driver stole some of the food. Don’t get food from here.

Colleagues and I ordered here for lunch and it was terrible. Fried rice was dry and boring also bbq spare ribs was tasteless.

Didn’t ever deliver my order. Didn’t answer the phone. Didn’t have tracking. *Okay it finally arrived after over an hour. Everything was so cold it wasn’t edible. Gyoza’s were basically frozen. I’m confident I could’ve made a better homage to Asia from the remnants in my cupboard.

Horrendous,beef curry came with little to none beef and was practically curry with a layer of oil on top. The takeaway also forgot to put my chips in the order,when ringing the first time to say what had happened and was missing from the order the staff of the takeaway rudely hung up. On the second phone call they agreed that they had forgot the chips and would send them over right away so I decided to wait with my food until they came. Now over an hour and a half later they still aren’t here my over food is now stone cold and will once again not answer there phone.

The food is as terrible as the customer service. DO NOT order from here. The order took over an hour to get here. The spare ribs tasted like they were deep fried in OLD oil or some sort of fish oil. The spring rolls were undercooked. Called to ask them to take back the food and they said no, call tomorrow when the manager is around. Also, was told “well you should have ordered something else, like noodles or something” Terrible food - terrible service.

Cheap ingredients but over priced

Food awful. Ordered Singapore noodles with beef and salt and chilli squid. Noodles arrived cold. Plain just 1 piece of dried beef and full of raw onions. No squid at all. Bag open when arrived. Didn’t feel safe to eat. Rang restaurant to complain. They put phone down. Rang again and called a liar and threatened by the guy who said he’d cooked it. As I was told we have your address and my safety threatened, I have reported them to the metropolitan police. Luckily I recorded the call Vile service. Horrible food. DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY AND HEALTH

DON'T BOTHER. Ribs were 100% fat. Prawn toast cold, soggy and undercooked. Noodles had no char and were underseasoned. I've worked in professional kitchens for a number of years, and have worked with a lot of imitation chicken (tempeh, soy, pea, tofu etc) and the "chicken" in the chicken black bean had the same texture and taste as fake imitation chicken. And they have the cheek to charge £9+ per dish. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

A commendable effort at managing to get the very basics so badly wrong. One of the few places where pretty much everything is inedible, even down to a chicken skewer. Poor quality ingredients, especially the pork.

Don’t believe the negative reviews. Really nice crispy shredded beer and duck rice!
