Great bar lounge beer garden friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices i would recommend it but it can get v busy on a big day

Always overcrowded..but I like it like that 'it's a good sign that they have great deals on the drink. Better than getting ripped off down the city centre.

Had a drink in good surroundings and atmosphere.

Great night on the 13th 1st time here definitely be back.

Visited the Tavern yesterday as we were having a celebration for my grandsons christening. The upstairs room was lovely and just what was needed. Nicely decorated, friendly staff, and great drinks prices. Would definitely recommend 👍.

Didnt have food but staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great.

I liked the atmosphere of the pub, fast service, pleasant staff. If I'm ever in Belfast again, I'll definitely stop by.

Last stop before home..friendly locals..and staff..cash only..but ATM in hallway. Best Guinness on the road!

Popped in for a few pints of Guinness with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beer was fantastic and very reasonably priced, barman was very friendly and polite and customers were all happy and welcoming. Would highly recommend visiting this pub. Best one we went in by a mile.

Nice pub bar staff were friendly, locals seemed to be friendly. drinks were nice & really cheap half the price you would pay in the city centre. the pub is a shrine to local heroes who died in WW1 with photos of each one with details of where they lived. memeorial garden outside which is a must to visit, will be visiting again im sure.

Best bar on the shankill. Shows the football, drink is value for money, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Went to the mountain view on Friday 3rd September. The atmosphere in there was amazing. There was a singer on and aa visitors we were made very welcome

One of the best friendliest bars you'll ever find

I was there when i stayed in Cavehill in Belfast.I had a few pints in the Mountain View on a particular day in 2011 i think watching Man United on TV.It was quite a rough pub,a bit of trouble happened but not much.There looked like to be some guards in their uniform drinking there and there was a band playing later as i saw electric guitars and other instruments in there.Would visit again.It was fascinating walking up the Shankill road for the first time.

Good value for money and good groups on Saturday night

We where there for a fund raiser. At 11.15pm the bar maids came out and put up s lot of the chairs and proceeded to mop the floor while we were sitting the. The bleach was so strong we all had to leave. We went down stairs to the other bar were there was live music on and the bar staff were very nice.

Great wee spot for a few drinks and a bookies 100 yrds away. Up stairs function room, downstairs has a conservatory area and beer garden.

Had a great time here with the shankill Somme society today, great friendly staff, customers are welcoming and a good time was had by all. Most important take a look at the memorial garden at the rear, a humbling experience indeed.
