The server, or I don’t know, the woman who was there and served us, was busy with everything except the guests. The menu didn’t mention in English that the dish was extremely spicy. It was only written in another language, but for someone who doesn’t understand that language, especially since we’re in England, it’s quite frustrating. It was a pretty bad experience overall.

Food was tasty and portions were decent for the price. Service was a bit slow at times but overall good. There was 10% students’ discount when we visited which was cool.

Food was very tasty with generous portions, and my lamb was so juicy and succulent. The service was very friendly, Great space and unusable decor adds to the quirky feeling.

Went as a large ish group, and staff were very accommodating and friendly when half the group took longer to turn up. Excellent food and relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely go back to and recommend to others.

We visited on a Tuesday evening for a catch up and dinner with an old friend and sadly was overall disappointed.... While the food was nice it was only Lebanese in name. It was basically Indian cuisine (cooked by an Indian chef), which would have been fine if we were going for an Indian meal but we really missed the unique flavour of the middle east and everything we ate was over powered by Indian spices. The service was okay, the waitress was pleasant and attentive. She didn't know what a gin and tonic was but overall she made us feel welcome and looker after us.

They’re great. We had a table of 26 and everything was so smooth, we were able to preorder and they were very accommodating and friendly. Food was fantastic!! Would recommend for big or small groups.

Had Fatoush starter salad,was gorgeous, husband had tabbouleh, mains were chicken swarama ,large helpings ,tasted lovely ,he had the lamb said it was amazing ,first timehaving Lebanese wine and tasted lovely ,didnt drink jt all so took some home ( bottle) ,staff were super attentive and offered us a free desert but too full lol.Will definitely be returning, lovely environment, clean toilets,friendly server ,meals came out quickly!

The food at Mount Lebanon is amazing. A lovely family-run restaurant in the city centre. Although the decor of the restaurant is a little dated, the food is beautiful and the staff are really lovely. I've been twice before and will definitely be going back.

I have used Mount Lebanon for catering for several conferences now. The manger and the chef make excellent recommendations based on my preference vs what will travel well. The food always goes down so well with guests asking who catered the event. The restaurant is always understanding of dietary requirements and they are extremely reliable. The food is always tasty and excellent value for money. I would recommend this restaurant for dining in and catering options. It will always be a favourite of mine.

Fantastic place, the atmosphere is always amazing! They have a wide variety of food available. They have a section of the menu specifically for vegetarians, but mostly it is for meat-eaters. The staff is really really friendly!

The atmosphere and service was on point. However I have several remarks for improvement. First of all, the restaurant need to focus on cleaning tables professionally. Moreover, I feel the food can be better. It doesn’t have the taste or the spirit of Lebanon if you know what I mean

This was an extra order as the first one that came about half an hour before had some elements missing. I rang Mount Lebanon to let them know. They sugfested I order a small item so they could get a driver and then they would send the rest. They actually sent even more food, and a dessert. I was veryy impressed with the food as always and the service was quick and efficient. It is not whether or not the customer has a problem, but how it is dealt with. Mount Lebanon dealt with it brilliantly.

Such a nice to eat at has the best service the food is bussing and they give you nice cold fresh drinks and will definitely come again.

First time visting and would definitely return. Quiet Sunday evening so served quickly. Plenty of choice on the menu and has a homemade feel. Family run. Lovely food. Slight note on the service - the girl was totally lovely but literally as soon as our final bite was finished the plates were cleared. No biggy, but a little more time would be appreciated. I visited Mount Lebanon with my husband and son , we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the music, I ordered a vegan musaka which was brilliant, well seasoned and delicious, my husband ordered a meat dish which was great and juicy and my son ordered the falafel wrap which he really enjoyed, the prices are really reasonable for the quality of food and the service was extremely good and fast, we intend to return again in the future.

Best Lebanese food in Sheffield!

The food is so tasty, and made professionally from fresh ingredients, the staff are so friendly and professional. The portion of food is great. On top of that, the food look exactly as shown in the menu. One of my greatest experiences, definitely I will come again and try every thing on the menu.

I'm a delivery driver and came to this restaurant to collect an order. Can I entered the restaurant it was filled with smoke which burned my eyes and was difficult for me to breathe. When I mentioned this to the manager his reply was "take the order and just go quickly then!" Mr manager, if a customer asked that question would you tell them to eat their food and leave your restaurant quickly? Your restaurant has a lot of good reviews but based on your service I can't give you zero stars but definitely would if it was possible. Thank you for the great experience and interaction that evening. I will definitely not return to your restaurant or recommend you to any family or friends.

Delicious food and friendly staff

A wonderful restaurant. We've been going for 5 years and it's always been lovely, the staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. A group of my friends have a regular lunch date on a Wednesday for their £5.99 deal, we always leave very happy

No consistency in their lamb kabseh whatsoever. I don’t know why I have been giving them the benefit of the doubt these past few months. It ends tonight. I don’t know what I would have done if I never had some Pelagonia hot ajvar to give tonight’s “lamb kabseh” life. It was going to be 1 star review but I’ll give them 2 stars…last weeks lamb kabseh was probably the best I have ever had from them. No more risk taking for me…thank you.

The food was delicious with great portion sizes and the staff were amazing! Came here with some friends for a birthday and had such a good time. The staff were so lovely and brought us out some cake and sang happy birthday without us even having to ask! Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.

Our family had a wonderful meal and absolutely great service by the staff. No hesitations to come here again as they were so accommodating for the two young toddlers with us. Thanks again!

Delicious hot meal. What more can I say!

Lovely place for lunch and dinner, very traditional food-wise, and has a really good atmosphere and music, our group of PhD friends love going and we go every single Wednesday for lunch. The staff are very friendly, and always customize the service to tailor to our needs. Mixed sharwama with rice is the best and also the marble cake.

stopped here for lunch after a lecture. decided to upgrade to the larger version of the shawarma. Some of the nicest meat I've had in a long time with a really nice view, you can see all the way up west street to the Student's Union

Very bad service. I looked for half an hour for a plate of rice and two pieces of meat. Also, I came 10 minutes before other people because they were larger than me and asked for more. They gave them food before me and I looked for half an hour. The food was very little and at 21 pounds it was expensive.

Everytime I’ve been it’s been a wonderful atmosphere, the food is fresh and quick and always full of flavour! On this occasion, we had wonderful service from Dervayani, she was smiley and kind! Overall so tasty and great prices

Mount Lebanon is hands down not only the best restaurant in Sheffield, but the best restaurant in the UK. From hospitality and service, to atmosphere, to food and drink, it really cannot be beat. I've been lucky enough to go to Mount Leb for years, and it has stayed consistently brilliant in all aspects. It's my calling card when it comes to dining out, especially with those visiting the Steel City, and I have yet to see one disappointed face. The falafels are of particular note, with every lucky guest I've taken agreeing they are the best they've ever tasted! If you're fortunate enough to be in Sheffield with enough time to grab a bite, I'd highly recommend eating here. If not for the food, then certainly for the warm hospitality and water features (I'd also strongly recommend the coffee after a meal!). I will continue to visit whenever possible, and will keep spreading the good Mount Lebanon-word.

We live in Barnsley and we're craving Middle Eastern food. We're planning to go to Bab Toma in Leeds but thought to look for a closer option in Sheffield since we were in Sheffield already (Ikea) saw Mount Lebanon on google and decided to give it a try. Ordered takeaway 2 Mount Lebanon specials, Chicken Kabsa, Shawarma plate woth chips and Borak with cheese. I must say that we ate the food cold as it is a good 30 minutes drive back to Barnsley so with that in mind I gave it 3 stars since food tends to taste less appetising cold. Nonetheless we know what Lebanese and Syrian food should taste like having lived in Dubai for 8 years and been to both countries before. The mezza (Hummus, Mutabal and Taboula) were very good not mind blowing but still as expected. The disappointment were with the rest. The Kabab (Kufte, lamb cubes meshwi and chicken cubes shishtawuk) were very very dry and with a strong gamey taste if anything not really edible without sauce lots of it. The chicken kabsa had nothing to do with what we call Chicken kabsa (Saudi dish) it was chargrilled chicken with yellow rice. The shawrma was again very very dry and lacked a lot on the flavour side. The Borak cheese was OK, can't fault it although we ordered Spinach borak but it was not available. To sum up we were disappointed as although the restaurant was authentic Lebanese (I could clearly tell the people were Lebanese) but the food was not. The search continues for a good levantine restaurant in South Yorkshire........

The lunch time deal here is an absolute steal, for how much you get and how good it is! Make sure you try the Lebanese coffee, get some fresh and fluffy falafels and finish off with some Knafeh. You won’t regret coming here and eating at these lovely people’s family restaurant.

Mount Lebanon is the best place in West Street. It offers a wide range of delicious middle eastern food that will make your belly happy ! I really like the Koftah Tahiniah it was so delicious omg!! Please try it and other dishes tooooo. It is AMAZING.

Chicken kabseh was nice yet I feel quite overpriced, and £5.50 for a tiny tub of tabouleh is ridiculous, this was barely enough to share.

My first visit to Mount Lebanon (it won't be my last) and I came as part of a large group. Despite this we were well cared for, the food came out to all of us on time and the portions were pleasingly generous. A couple of us needed supporting with food allergies and this was both understood and catered for by the owner. Amazing food and great service. Thank you!

I have been to Mount Lebanon so many times. I took a group of friends last night and the meal was amazing yet again. 12 of us, and we all loved it. Two of us have food allergies, and the staff always go above and beyond accommodating us. Most restaurants in Sheffield dont do this. We will all definitely be back. :)

We went to Mount Lebanon on Saturday for breakfast with a big group of people. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pictures but the table was very well prepared. The lady, I believe who is the owner was so caring and sweet. She always asked if we need something and refilled the plates and tea pots if empty. We would and will definitely go there again. Thank you for excellent service.

Given the amount of positive reviews, we were looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, our experience was poor, perhaps a bad day for the staff. Even though the restaurant was empty, our drinks took a while to come. We had ordered a ‘hot mezza’ and asked for this to come as a starter however this ended up coming with our main meal. We also ordered a side which was forgotten about and I had to wait five minutes to grab the waitress’s attention even though I was stood at the bar area. I ordered the Chicken Kabseh, which was flavourful and tender. My husband ordered the Kastilata Ghanam (lamb cutlets) which were extremely dry and tough. He took a few bites and left the rest as it was like chewing rubber. We let the waitress know when she came around to ask about our food and she said she was going to notify the chef. Eventually when our dishes were cleared, we asked the waitress if we could have a different dish for my husband who barely touched his food. She mentioned that she had not yet told the chef but she could give us a dessert instead. Although unhappy with the choice, my husband chose the baklava. Our night was about to get worse as we found a shard of glass with his baklava, which we received an apology for. At this point, we were ready to go home so we settled the bill and left. What was meant to be a lovely birthday meal turned out to be a very poor evening, we will not be returning unfortunately…
