What you need a decent cost helpful staff

It is a convenient place to buy most African grocery, enough parking at the opposite side. Pros: varieties of fresh and packaged foods. Cons: too crowded, housekeeping very poor.

Contains almost all African food

I was amazed by the size of the store, it was huge!! I've given 3 stars due to the attitude of both the assistance of the workers in the shop and some of the customers. That not withstanding, I got all I wanted for a fair price. I was only there as I was visiting over the holiday period. So, there is no option of returning there.

I wish I could give less than one star, sometimes the chicken and meat these people sell are rotten and you wonder if they follow the right step to store raw meat, it’s unfair that you know some stock are bad and you still go on and sell it. Also the customer service there is uncalled for, there is this particular staff that is always frowning, being rude to customers especially of black race, he checks the camera like people are there to steal their goods, I really don’t blame them, I blame the fact that they have no competitors around, Africans selling African foods rather than people that have no idea about African food selling it, I have no problem with that but hey don’t be rude to your customers

Very rude and angry butchers always ready for confrontations. For people with sharp objects with them there’s is a thin line between being rude and being a danger in their case.

I have always bought from this shop and I am very dissapointed by the way the cashiers spoke to me today. I bought plantain that was not in a good condition and some other products. The plantain was all that was left that everyone struggled to find any good one, even though i wanted more. On my way out, one of the staffs brought out a new box. I picked more plantains and proceeded to pay for them and ask the cashier that I will like to swap the ones I bought earlier. The cashier said "NO YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO THAT". Even though it's the same price and I have not left the shop. In fact they did not refuse the swap, they said if I don't accept the plantain like that they will not sell another one to me and If I seek a refund, they will refund my money for everything I bought and I should not come back to the shop again. I reminded him I am a customer who simply wants to replace an item in its original condition that I have just bought and customers are the only reason for the success of their shop, he said " we don't need your money and don't come back here again, we have marked your face. I didn't steal, I paid for products. No shop in the uk will say you cannot replace product in its original form whilst you are still in the shop. I can understand if it's meats products that I have asked them to cut as this might result in a loss but a plantain that I have just paid for, and to be asked never to come to the shop again for that is ridiculous with absolutely no respect or gratitude for customer's patronage.

Easiest place to find African food stuffs and spices

Well stocked with African food items, however tends to be crowded from noon till early evening.

The store provides a good variety of African groceries, alongside an in-house butcher offering both traditional and specialty meats, which operates with its own dedicated queue. They also serve warm African/Nigerian snacks like meat pies and egg rolls. While the service isn’t exceptional, it’s generally satisfactory. However, the store can get extremely busy and chaotic at times, and the queues can become so disorganized that navigating through the aisles becomes difficult. Nice place to shop African Caribbean food items, fruits condiments, drinks,meat, sea food, vegetables etc. Say it and you find it here. Good transport connections from all part of Manchester. In the hub of Moston. Friendly staff always chunning out Nigeria slangs.

Nice African shop,you will definitely get all you need to buy as an African here but watch out for spoilt and expired goods.

Authentic African food items are available in this shop. A lot of their prices are cheaper than buying from the regular retailer or corner shop but one must know what to buy. I'm also glad they have changed all their old shopping basket, the old ones were embarrassing before they changed them. Their staff are helpful and I love that almost everything I used to buy in lagos are available in this shop

Manipulated receipt and over charged if your worth of goods is £20 it'll be inflated to £35 Never again 😒🙃

In my opinion, groceries and other products are quite cheaper and better in Moston superstore. The only caution for any person buying any product is always check expiration dates before payment. Moston superstore is my main store for my African groceries

The only good thing here is that You can find virtually almost all the African goods you want. But * prices of goods are quite high. *They need to have names of goods purchased and prices on the receipt issued to customers for clarification. Or scan the good just like Tesco,Aldi, world wide Asian and African shop in Rochdale etc(to avoid cheating customers) *Staff are rude. *They don't also endeavor to take off expired goods from the shelves.(so look out for expired products before buying)

If I can give them no star will there customer service is the worst went to do my shopping in this store on Saturday forgot my meat and chicken didn’t realise until I got up called them up immediately and they told me to go into they will check cctv drop back on Sunday they where telling me the person gave me wrong information that there cctv in store doesn’t work

I bought this bornvita from the store with the confidence that it's good only to discover when I got home that it has expired since October 2023. It even has web like stuff inside. I don't know what the management is doing in ensuring that expired products are removed from stock. It's so disappointing

They had everything I wanted but the queue to pay after shopping was not encouraging. And prices of things went up outrageously.

Section for meat is always full of flies, and untidiness is very high in that section. Unnecessary queue every time. Two stars because it's open at approximately the stated time.

Nigeria food for Nigerians by non-nigerian.

You will find most of what you're looking for but you will hardly be treated with respect. They know most of the people they cater to "have no choice", so they have this, "I dont care" attitude towards customers. Staff don't give a damn. Maybe cos they're overworked. It's obvious they talk down on customers cos no matter how superiors pretend to be nice, subordinates reveal those unheard conversations through their lackadaisical attitude. A lot of things are overpriced, maybe by 50p-£1. Its a well stocked shop though if you can look the other way at many things. Personally, MotherLand in Salford is better.

It's a pretty big warehouse sized store. It's got most of what you'll need to put together traditional/native and English meals. The cashier service needs a bit more refinement however. Pricing is not clearly stated on your receipts which pretty much makes it useless.

It's a big busy store. There are a lot of options for things to buy from. Their prices are good but I will suggest like every other store to always compare the price before buying

Good place to do your african foods shopping . You can find most of your african stuff easily. Easy access by public transports or car. Good size parking just on the front of the shop. Shop is medium to large size, full packed. Improvements point: the commercial freezers should be cleaner in my opinion they are dirty and need to be more hygienic though. When not busy, you can move smoothly around the shelves. Be aware be stategic, check traffic time. May become busy during peak time, queue may take very long. It happened to me once I've learned my lesson.

Great place for African foods all the way. But some of the butchers were rude and with little respect towards customers especially the African looking man (probably Congo or Zimbabwean). That's my reason for the 2 stars. Aside from that, it's well stuff. Just watch out for his mouth when there.

Approached 2 of their staffs today to help get something off a top shelf and one says to find someone else and the other that he was already assigned to moving things, unhelpful and unruly. You think you are excluded from health and safety considerations. Poor service after traveling a long distance.

It was the best African super market a place of pleasure

Owner is a very humble man. Staff are very rude especially to their own customers which happens to be Africans mainly. They finally got a fly catcher especially around the meat and poultry area. I wouldn't recommend buying raw meat or poultry from here. Hygiene inspectors have definitely turned ablind eye as ita an ethnic minority shop afterall we are use to dirty. I personally have concerns around what I mentioned above.i have also heard from close friends and family. However that's hear say. Well stocked up shop, you can find practically anything in here. Staff hands on deck especially outside where fruits and vegetables are kept.

Costly when compared with their competitors. Receipts do not bear names of items bought. They're not transparent, customer relations zero

Got all my African foodstuffs from there at great price. Great for anyone looking for Afro-Carribean.

It’s a good store and have shopped there countless times. I dislike that they don’t have scanners to scan goods and they just enter any amount which is prone to human error and on the receipt the name of goods bought shows numbers, so if you buy many goods you can’t check your receipt because it won’t even make sense to you. This pisses me off so many times. But you would get almost all Nigerian food there.

The store was quite crowded and the distances between aisles were a bit tight. I'm not very sure about parking because I had to park a few streets away from the store. However, if you're looking to shop for afro-carribean items, it's a good place to shop. To me, it's just like any other big African store in Manchester.
