Morrisons Livingston Cafe in West Lothian

Had a lovely meal tried out new fish pie large portion and very nice followed by apple crumble which was a delight. Staff very friendly.

Enjoyed snacks and coffee. Helpful staff, very comfy seating. Toilet area very disappointing, needs a complete revamp. Very scruffy and grubby looking.

Went into Morrison’s in Livingston at 10:56 this morning. They have a half price promotion on for the full breakfast. We had to wait 38 minutes to be served after paying at the till. They cooked it on a camper stove quicker. After half an hour I asked the manager what was going on and she said were you not told about the 40 minute wait. I certainly was not. We were given a free coffee as we had finished the first one before the food arrived. I know Morrison’s say they cook each meal to order but surely the cook can see how many sausages and bacon he/she has ordered and put on more than one. It appeared to me that the girl that was on the cash desk was also the one doing the cooking. Jill of all trades but sadly master of none. Morrison’s announced in the Press that they were spending millions upgrading their restaurants. Save your money until you get the staff sorted out. Employ more people in the restaurants. You would think that was a one off but sadly we have experienced this before and my daughter In Norwich was told there would be a 30 minute wait there too. So looks like company policy to underemploy people in their stores. Luckily we were not on a fixed time scale but if I was trying to order food during a lunchtime break i would have to ask for my money back. Poor, poor service. I emailed Morrison’s and got a reply back saying we will pass on your complaint. In other words get lost. If you go to their restaurants ask how long the cooking time is. I can cook a family breakfast from home in a fraction of this time. Others diners were complaining too. Not great company policy. GET YOUR ACT INTO GEAR.
