Amazing. Good quality food and service. Really, really impressed. Wish we visited sooner but will definitely be back! We couldn’t stop talking about how nice the food was on our way home - hence the review. Definitely our new local for eating out.

Wow,wow, wow! The food was outstanding! Everyone in the group was raving about how good their food was. The best onion bahjis I have ever tasted. The service was brilliant from start to finish. There was a gentleman who spoke to us for ages and was so friendly, I think he maybe the owner. We will definitely be back.

Went for sons bday 10 May.had heard so much about it. But out of 4 meals 3 were pretty tasteless pratha undercooked. Service and staff v.good. shame about the food. Vastly overpriced for what you get. I'll stick to green gates, shenaz and yadgar. Just a pity kahiri palace closed down.

Portion sizes are shocking. £6 for 3 small bits of tandoori chicken it's about half a breast if you are lucky. Spicy onions are also a joke £2 and it's a small sauce tub size. About a quarter of the size of a portion you would usually get. I should have known they where going to be tiny portions when I saw the £5 garlic naan. Called to check if there was a mistake and was told that it was the correct portion. Avoid unless you are on a diet and like wasting money.

This place absolutely blows us away. Food is fantastic! Loved every single thing we have tried. Steadily working our way through the menu and trying things we have never had before. I’ve never had the urge to work through a menu. Just shows when a place is this good, you feel comfortable enough to try new things without the fear of disappointment. Would highly recommend. Staff are always polite and friendly and restaurant is always full, which says a lot. Worth every penny and portion sizes are big enough that you don’t have any waste, but are always content when finished.

Got our first takeaway to give it a try. Very disappointed with the food. Both chicken dishes were tasty but the meat was very tough and chewy so not the nicest. Ordered a peshwari Nan and got a very unusual Nan which appeared to be covered in honey or some kind of sweet sticky goo, not what we are used to with Peshawari Nan. Doubt that I will bother going back again considering the options available in the area. Shame as we really thought we were going have a lovely meal reading all the reviews!

My wee pal Nancy and I Celebrated our 43rd anniversary at the Moorni Bishopton. Yet another Indian restaurant. This is the closest sit-in to Erskine. New starters, Manchurian (battered chicken in sauce with onion and peppers) and Masala Ribs (pork ribs in spicy sauce). Usual mains Keema Methi and Kalbi Channa with the best ever Peshwari Naan. To finish I had Gulab Jammin, Nancy had a Bappu Ki Lassi cocktail, her new favourite, quaffed quicker than I can down a Heverlee. Service was excellent and friendly. Definitely to be recommended.

First time at Mourni on Thursday night with friend visiting area. Lovely atmosphere - loved the comfortable, modern, relaxing atmosphere, music and the food did not disappoint. Excellent and friendly service. Price was around £50 for two mains (we shared the 1 portion of rice) , 3 drinks and popadoms and onions and shared one sweet - perhaps a tad more expensive than other local places to eat but quality of food we were. served and the relaxed atmosphere was worth it. Hope the restaurant is well supported -it is great to have such a lovely local place with comfortable ambiance to eat out. Wish the owners and team well with Mourni in Bishopton

This place is a definite contender to the incumbent curry house up the road which has been in Bishopton since I was a child. Moorni, I think, are trying to bring some elevation to the dishes that you traditionally find in small village Indian restaurants. The pakora batter was crisp and lightly seasoned, the curry sauces were creamy but light and nuanced, and the naan was soft and fluffy. Overall it was more delicate than your typical takeaway curry. The service was also excellent and the restaurant is a nice place to sit in. Where my review loses a star is on the Chasni. Chasni is a legendary institution in Scotland, invented in the 80s for the palettes of Glaswegians who were inexperienced with the spice of Indian curries. The dish has its variations but ultimately it's a recreation of the curry served in the 80s. It should have a little bit of spice, tang from tomato, sweetness from mango chutney, and a hint of freshness from mint and coriander, and is typically served with a dash of food coloring to give it a vivid red colour. There is something about the unnatural red color that is quintessentially Chasni. The Chasni I got didn't really have any of those dimensions. It was a very nice curry no doubt. It was a mild, creamy curry sauce — but it wasn't what I would call a Chasni. My message to the chef would be to study the Chasni served at some of the oldest-running Indian restaurants in the west of Scotland and try to recreate the dish in more detail. Putting your own innovative spin on the classics is a good thing for sure but Chasni, I would say, is one dish to be a purist about.

We ordered a take away online using the App, we had 3 mains, 3 starters and 2 Nan. Rice was ordered separately as was the sauce for the meals. This seems a bit odd as our experience with other take away premises has always been that rice and sauce are included with the meal and included in the meal cost. The bill for the food which was fairly good came to £81 odd, which I think is pretty expensive for a take away. Part of the expense of the bill can perhaps be explained by the cost of sauce for the meals which is £9.00 for each sauce. Delivery was within the time accepted when ordering and the food arrived hot, not surprising since we are a 5 minute walk from the premises. I have read other reviews for this business, none of which mention the cost, as such I feel it is important to mention it here. To be honest I think the menu is poorly laid out, excessively expensive for a take away and the food just slightly better than similar meals I have had from similar premises.

Been wanting to try this for while since it opened on our doorstep. Finally got one tonight as a collection takeaway and have to say it was absolutely worth the wait. Delicious, great consistency of the curry, good size portions and plenty of meat. The garlic naan was amazing, full to the brim of flavour as well. The only thing I would love to see is proper chunky cut indian chips instead of fries but they were still tasty (however the fries seem to be the common choice in the west of Scotland since moving here so maybe I’m in the minority when it comes to chips). On initial look it the menu may seem a tad more expensive compared to other local options but don’t let that put you off as it provides restaurant quality food and blows other options in the area out of the water. In my eyes it’s value for money. The smell was unbelievable in the restaurant aswell and the atmosphere and decor looked great when I collected and the smell in my bag rouser the curious others in my house when I arrived home. Great to see it busy! Can’t wait to try it again.

Ordered online and that process was pretty straight forward. Paid with Apple pay, which was neat. Order arrived in about 45 mins, which was fine. Food was ok, not great. Portions were tiny in comparison to local competition and was expensive. They have a lot of work to do to get up to the standard of the Bishopton Tandoori and particularly Chapati 9, who I would say are the best in Bishopton. Would struggle to order again from what I had tonight. Unfortunately 1 strike and you are out when the local competition is good. Low point was spicy onions, sauces were ok, but tiny portions. Naan bread also about half the size of other places.

Collected food , rice not in bag and had to wait on it being delivered which meant the food had to be reheated ..not so good . Portions of pakora and chips was smaller than other places and don't like the boxes ..paper bags are better at keeping hot and don't go soggy with steam .so after 15 minutes the rice was delivered slightly warm so all in all the main meal ,rice, (chips ..in bin ) nan was reheated , chicken was dry due to this and nan was like rubber .just under £40.00 for a reheated meal is not what I had bargained for .☹️
