Meze Turkish Kitchen in Barnsley

Thursday evening, so was quiet but peaceful. Food was really really fresh. The sauces that accompanied you could tell were made on site. Salad really crisp and fresh. Fantastic meal, would recommend. Took about 10 minutes to be ready which is fair and signals the freshness. Would have again definitely.

Came here with my partner for something different to eat and we were not disappointed! Portions were massive and the staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend 👌

Amazing food venue. Suitable for light bites or a filling meal. Staff were very attentive and helpful and the atmosphere was very inviting. 10/10 food and service :)

Got the shawarma kebab, supposed to be “succulent chunks of lamb cooked on skewers, topped with a delicious sauce and yogurt, on Turkish flat bread “. In fact it’s scant slivers of poor quality lamb if you can find it. Topped with mediocre tomato sauce and a dollop of plain yogurt. The bread didn’t impress either, especially as it had been cut up into cubes under the sauce heavy top, creating a soggy mess. Worst kebab/turkish food I’ve encountered. It was expensive at over £14 and extra for fries. I won’t be eating anything from there again. Very disappointed. This is not a negative comment on the market kitchen complex which is brilliant

I have tried most of the menu and enjoyed every meal. There are many choices at Market kitchens although personally Meze kitchens is my favourite the food looks and tastes amazing. The chicken Shawarma is a my favourite dish however I have enjoyed every meal I have tried at Meze kitchens. Only down side is in the market kitchens seating can be limited at busy times such as weekends, which has a time meant going elsewhere for food at times although this is out of Meze kitchens hands.

Been going here for years now and the food doesn't disappoint. The chicken shawarma on top of the chips has to be my favourite dish. the flavours are rich and its very filling, if you like lamb as well get the mixed shawarma and you won't be disappointed at all! Can't recommend enough!!

We ordered what we thought was a sharing platter, little known to us there was two different types as we wanted the calamari one. When the food was ready we were scoffed at and told you should have specifically ordered the hot one. Here's an idea, maybe ask if we want the hot or cold one instead of assuming. 16 quid for two vine leaves, a bunch of dips and some bread is disgusting by any stretch. Last 3 times we were blown away by the food, now it seems as new staff and owners that don't care as much are in charge. Such a shame.

Beautiful tasty food and fabulous friendly service. Highly recommend. The dressing on the salad needs to be bottled and sold it was divine!

Me and wife went on NYE for a drink and decided to have some food, most of the food units were closed or closing, we saw this chap deliver some chicken kebabs to a couple and just said ‘WOW’. It looked amazing. I went up and ordered 2 chicken kebabs and some chips. It was so nice. We’ll definitely be going there again. When we left we sat the chap sat down, and found out he was the manager. I’d told the lovely ladies behind the counter how nice it was and she’s told the manager. We had 5 minutes with him and he was so polite. Definitely will be going there again. Thanks once again.

Really disappointed. We ordered food to take away and on unpacking our food at home we found that only one of the two meals we ordered were in the bag. Be sure you check your order

First time trying meze and can honestly say it was not disappointing, absolutely amazing food definitely be a regular here 😁😉

Wow!! Wasn't expecting this inside a market. Lovely food at a great price, the portions were generous too and everything was so well presented. Loved it. Highly recommended.

Before we ordered, we asked the chef if he could make a couple of adjustments to our dishes and he happily agreed - a promising start! We were not disappointed. I had a chicken shish kebab with salad and it was absolutely delicious! Plenty of chicken chunks all cooked perfectly, served with a fresh, crisp salad and a lovely turkish yogurt dip (cacik). OH had a tasty, vegan, aubergine dish which he too said was delicious. We will definitely be heading here again whenever we visit the Glassworks and can whole heartedly recommend 👌

Tried tonight for the first time. Delicious well cooked food. Very tasty. Friendly staff. Will be returning.

Horrible shaworma I didn't eat like this never in my life the meat was disgusting the chips bigger the same my head and garlic sous its mean mayonnaise and chilli sous % water and horrible about salad the same...that small plate for kids with disgusting food
